Ôver The Top

I tried this on a big perfume store where i live, the seller asked me what kind of fragrance i like, i told him i like "unique and different". "Wanna try the new lancome ones? This one smells like tomato (:" and he sprayed it on me. I fell in love at first sniff, i thunk i may have found my personal summer scent (: weeks later I went again to buy a bday present for my mom, and i asked them if they had sample vials of this, the lady say youre lucky i have only these two left and gave them to me. I've been wearing it for a couple days, this perfume is so pretty, fresh, delicate, not synthetic at all; i really love the tomato leaf note, on me it stays most of the the time. Longevity is amazing for an EDT. I will buy this and probably rebuy again when i finish it hahaha xD

Such a bright, zesty, green scent! Personally I get rose here and I'm shocked not to see it in the pyramid. Unlike others. I don't get any weird, vegetal vibes from the tomato leaf. This scent is a winner in my book - my favorite of this series - and I'm going to be on the lookout for a well-priced bottle if I can find one. Too bad they don't seem to come in smaller sizes. I hate buying 100 ml of anything these days.

Carlos Benaïm has nothing left to prove; his reputation is well established and deserved. What a genius idea he had in marrying tomato leaf and jasmine with diaphanous fruity notes. Over the Top lives up to its name, and I think it's the most original fragrance of recent years. Plus, it lasts for hours and hours, without ever being overpowering. I'm a man, and I get compliments every time I wear it. A success!

This is a beautiful perfume, very niche. It's similar to L'ombre dans l'eau but better than the actual formulation. It's like a garden after rain. So well blended and to me it's more than a simple eau de toilette ! So french and seductive, the raw materials are beautiful : jasmine, rose and tomato leaf accord are enchanting. Bravo! It last so long a pure delight!

This one is my absolute favorite out of all 3. I love them and got them all. It’s green one, if you don’t like floral green this is not for you. It’s the same family as Luna and from the garden but they don’t smell exactly the same.

I just wanted to buy some perfume for winter but unfortunately I tried this too. Ohh, holy Mother, this is some unique beautifule uplifting perfume! An immedite buy.!! Now I just have to wait for warmer weather to use it.

Tomato leaf often smells like black currant to me and overpowers everything. So for me it's a black currant perfume without the cat pee note.

I' m so surprise how beautifule and plesant is this scent ! All I get is brite, fresh, sparkling , very light rose . I LOVE IT!!!

Of the three new "O" (Eau) fragrances, I like "Over the Top" the best. I don't really connect with the intended psychological effect or interpretation (ambition, power, energy) because I find the scent far too sweet, inoffensive, and harmonious yet interesting enough. I find it rather calming and uplifting, as it reminds me of a relaxing and private luxury vacation in the South. Sweet citrus fruits, freshly picked tomatoes, sunshine, and gentle jasmine blossoms. A fruity-sweet and very feminine fragrance that is absolutely NOT unisex and unfortunately doesn't motivate me to conquer the world, but rather to retreat to a cozy little vacation spot on the Mediterranean. It is a transparent but not an airy fragrance. It kind of reminds me of a damp hothouse full of tropical plants and candy. The scent is close to the skin and the sillage is pretty weak. I like the moment of the first spraying best since the hint of freshness quickly disappears, leaving only the green fruity sweetness with no further development. A little more freshness would have been good because fragrance remains somewhat flat and dull. I think the price is too high. Edit: NOW I know exactly what it smells like to me: super sugary and ripe guava. Guava. Yes. :)

Shockingly green start that slowly reveals crushed tomato leaves. So true to life. At this stage of top notes Zenîth's are the prettiest and Ôff Now's the weirdest. As Ôver The Top dries down it becomes more and more floral, I thought it was a juicy rose but this must be jasmine and fruity notes. For a long time it is a tomato plus jasmine - that smells awesome, better than the cucumber-rose of the Rosa Verde Acqua Allegoria. At this stage it becomes my favourite and I am close to buying it now. It is fresh, it is floral, it is green, it is a novelty. At first I thought I would buy Zenith, after a time this one but now on the blotter Ôff Now shines a lemon verbena that is gorgeous. And I will probably buy them all. Refreshers with a twist. The bottles are lovely too. Just a wrist test. It projects better than the new La Vie Est Belle Vanilla Nude.. lasts well, too

I absolutely love it but I cannot get over how similar it is to Diptyque Ombre Dans L’Eau Eau de Toilette :( Blackcurrant leaves and tomato leaves have a very, very similar scent profile. Of course each artwork is inspired by some other, I totally get it, but this is too similar to Ombre EDT for me to appreciate. Nevertheless wonderfully balanced and beautiful scent.

I've only tried it, and i really like it, but the tomato leaf note disappears way too quickly and the perfume becomes a little generic after that.

my mom is in love with perfumes that aren’t liked by a lot of people so when she smelled this perfume she fell in love. if you enjoy smelling like a tomato, this is for you. bought this because i judged the book by its cover and thought this was a girly and rose smelling perfume. at least it’ll look good on my vanity table

at first spray the tomato leaf comes off wayyy to strong, very close to the vegetable section of a grocery store. dries down very green. idk i am not really a fan but i dont hate it either

When I first saw the bottle, I thought, oh great, Lancôme is giving us yet ANOTHER rose spectacle. After the entire Absolue rose saga and the seven-thousand Idôle flankers, I was fully prepared for more petals-in-your-face. But no, it’s... not a rose! Well, it kind of smells like one, but according to the notes, this is basically a fruit salad with tomato leaf. Apparently tomato leaf + fruity mix = green rose illusion. Who knew? And it works! Ô Over the Top is beautiful, light and fresh fresh fresh, very much in line with the whole 2025 Ô revamp. It’s not too sweet, not too sharp, just a clean, uplifting green-fruity scent with a soft rosy aura even though there’s (technically) no rose. I see exactly what Lancôme was aiming for here, and I’m glad they went this direction. My only complaint is that the tomato leaf cameo is way too brief. It shows up, waves politely, and leaves the building. I wish it stuck around longer, because that green snap was the most interesting part. Still, pleasant, fresh, effortless. A lovely addition to the line.

On the verge of arbitrarily proclaiming new olfactory terminology - scent has its own geography it seems, for this particular perfume is very site specific. It's a scorching August and you spend your summer in your father's village. You just came back from the beach and you find your grandpa cutting the ripest tomatoes from the yard, he's also watering the peony bushes and he decides to shower you all with the hose. You're laughing and you're not even realising that life is at its peak. Your grandma is somewhere inside washing some leftover dishes - the plasticky, green scent travels through the window. Somewhere I read "лето - это маленькая жизнь", but I haven't felt that since I was 15.

The smell of ripe lychees! This fragrance was such a surprising journey for me! First of all, I don't smell any of the notes listed, maybe just a bit of greenness from the tomato leaf and some rose (listed on Fragrantica). To me this opens up with the smell of ripe lychee - similar to the ones you get in a can, then it blends beautifully with the note of rose, but without becoming too floral. I can smell something green, fresh - maybe like a young rose after the rain. It also reminds me of Baccarat Rouge in the drydown, but fresher.The persistence is quite good considering it’s an Eau de toilette (around 4h, with medium projection). It's definitely a good pick for hot days of summer!

This is the most pleasant from this O -trio. Tomato leaf is interesting; I have one scent from YSL which contains tomato leaf, Vice Versa and it is amazing.This reminds me of some other scent, but can't pick the name.Sillage is weakish on me, so for the price tag it's not so good. I could wear this one but recently have no need for it. And there are way more better cologne-type scents out there. For example L'eau revee -serie from Sisley. And Escales -serie from Dior. And Lancome's previous O-serie is far more better than this.

26. May 2025 This one is the weirdest of the whole trio of scents. It starts out very nice, very flowery (mostly rose to my nose, but a very nice one) and i loved it the most from the ehole trio. Yet an hour later it becomes really weird, probably due to tomato leaf. It becomes to smell bitter and quite medicinal. Yet the flowery note is still there. It starts to smell like a rosehip. Not pleasant at all. What a great start, but midstage and drydown development is a disaster. Not sure if i could stand that smell on the drydown.
