Tresor Eau de Parfum Lumineuse

Third time's the charm! I had to test Lumineuse because it has praline note in it, one of my favourite notes ever. First time I hated the smell because I found it too ozonic (to me it means there's sparkling water vibe going on), but I blamed the airport tester which maybe was expired. So I bought a tester. Second time trying I found that I don't like it again, because the ozonic thing came up again and it was piercing my nose. However, I still couldn't let this perfume go. Today, third time came up - I applied Lumineuse generously because it was a dull morning, I had to wake up early, summer's gone and I was just feeling sad, so I wanted something to lift me up. So I am sitting in a cafe in a big city (is it Paris?), wrapped up in a cosy sweater, it’s around 5PM, so there’s lots of people and traffic, and the cafe is busy, but I sit in the corner, facing the window, so I don’t feel rushed by them. I'm having a dense cake with red berry jam and some black tea with it. This is what I see when I smell Lumineuse. This is definitely a sweet perfume - I probably imagine black tea with my cake because I want some balance to it, but this sweetness is so preciously orchestrated to unfold under your nose! As for notes, praline is noticeable here, with syrupy rose floating on top and violet leaf giving that ozonic/metallic sharpness (I got used to it). I cannot detect vanilla. Musky/woody dry down. Sillage is soft, longevity is good, it’s been more than 9 hours since I applied the perfume to my wrists (I did not reapply) and this juicy candy rose marmalade is still lingering. Lumineuse is a lively, cosy and comforting autumn perfume, a hidden/forgotten Lancome gem, gourmand achieved in an uncloying, breathable way. It's like a date with yourself on a busy business day.

I added a sample of this to an order on a whim, thinking I wouldn't like it... it's actually kind of lovely and growing on me very quickly! It's light and delicate and sort of shimmery lacy pink smelling, if that makes sense? It smells iridescent and fragile and like everything delicately feminine, but it's not at all juvenile. If it's girly, I don't really think it is, it's girly in a winsome and womanly way. The thing that scared me off was the rose, but the rose in this isn't heavy or heady or headachey at all. I swear I can smell petals. There is something faintly fresh or fruity or watery or...I don't know, it gives me the idea of juiciness... that I can't place but I think it might be something to do with this rose note. I know I tried an indie perfume that I swore blind was full of apples, but the listed notes were rose heavy, so it might be like that... There's a bit of green/floral hint, and wafts of sweetness. From a distance, I get hints of it and something about it smells so good - I can't name what, it just smells like 'good, nice smell'. It's pretty lovely. I have got a bit of a stuffy nose and have just bombarded myself with a perfume with my hated patchouli on my other arm, so maybe I'm not doing this justice... but I do really like it so far. It's so charming and floaty and delicate, and I do wonder if I need to rethink my stance on rose - I always thought it was heady, heavy, old-ladyish, headache-summoning haze, but this light and young and lacy rose is actually really appealing and something I would like to wear.

Ladies & Gents I give you My Signature Fragrance!!! About a year ago, I was sniffing some Marc Jacobs gourmands at my local perfumerie when the lady behind the Lancome counter asked me - since I seem to love gourmands - if I'd like to try the new Tresor Lumineuse. I was hesitant to say the least, as I cannot stand the unbearable rose/candy uncomplicated sweetness of the original Tresors and all of the other pseudo-in love/midnight rose blah blah ad infinitum. I eventually gave in and let me tell you it was love at first sniff!!! Yummy praline, delicate rose, soft violet and slightly spicy vanilla is what I get from this perfume once it settles on my skin and this is by FAR my compliments galore scent, as EVERY time I wear it, men flock towards me and ask me stuff like "What the hell are you wearing, you smell delicious?!" "You smell good enough to eat" and "you smell so sexy" (I don't get this reaction with any other perfume!) Ladies, this one is a show stopper! best suited for winter or night time, it might smell sweet, nice and innocent but it is one Naughty Juice!!! PS: The longevity is amazing! I sprayed it on Saturday evening to attend a festival and I was complimented on Sunday morning at the gym with a "Mmm you smell yummy!" by a gay Greek dude during step class...

This scent is amazing and may become my signature! I am exploring the world of fragrances after having worn Cool Water Woman all throughout high school and then Euphoria Blossom for years after that so bear with me as I don't have the lingo down lol The original Tresor EDP is my mom's signature scent, so I have a lot of wonderful associations with it. Tresor Lumineuse features the same signature soft, beautiful rose from the original, without any of the fruit notes which don't play well with my body chemistry... especially in hot and humid Florida. Combined with the rose is the most heavenly praline scent ever! In fact, the two notes that my novice nose can distinguish are praline and rose. This fragrance is super feminine and makes me feel like I'm floating in a fluffy, cozy, cloud all day. And DH cannot stop nuzzling me whenever I wear it. Longevity is fantastic.... Just 2 sprays last all day on me. Edit: Something in this reminds me of In Control Curious by Britney Spears. But the rose, longevity, and sillage make this one a 1,000 times better. Also, the Lancome website does not list praline as a note. The notes according to their site are: Top Notes: Violet, Rose Heart Notes: Jasmine Absolute, Bergamot Base Notes: Kashmeran Wood, Vanilla

This is the perfume that started my obsession with fragrance!!! If you're familiar with my reviews your KNOW that I'm an amateur NOSE (and it is indeed large, in person). My mother used to own Tresor and I really liked it and tried to sneak into her boudoir for a spray or two... when I went off to university and I had the money to buy it, I thought it was waaay too sweet and mature for me, but then I discovered the Lumineuse version and I WAS HOOKED!!! For a decade, this sweet rosey, praline, powdery violet and sparkling gem surrounded me wherever I went, enveloping me in a cloud of deliciousness that always got me compliments (mainly from women)... It permeated my college years and my first few years post-university at work... honestly I have the sweetest and toughest memories associated with this fragrance. About 10 years ago I put Tresor Lumineuse down for good, now occupying a permanent, yet untouched area of my vanity, and occasionally I take a whiff or two to reminisce of the "good times" yet I do not wear it, as I'm all grown up now and I have moved on... I think it is still available for purchase so if you are a teenager or in your early 20s, I invite you to discover it and fall in love... Bravo, Ropion!

I just received my bottle today. Here is my first impression: When I first sprayed it, I thought I smelled something like grapefruit but it is the tart freshness of the violet leaves combined with the heartiness of the rose and the sweeter notes altogether combined that gives me that effect. Then the trademark Tresor rose (which is slightly bitter, but fresh) comes to surface. It is light, soft, classy, and feminine. I can smell sweet notes lightly wafting up from behind the rose. Suddenly the fragrance deepens a bit as the vanilla and praline surface and all of the notes come together. The Tresor rose, sweet notes, and musk make for a very light and smooth spiciness that keep this fragrance from becoming too young and girly. Near the very end of the fragrance, the rose fades, leaving behind light cocoa powder, musk, and vanilla sweetness. The dry down being too warm for summer; Tresor Lumineuse is best suited for spring and fall. This is a lovely fragrance. Delicate and feminine with light to moderate siliage and longevity. It starts out cool/fresh and feminine before becoming warm/sweet and a little *wink, wink* sexy. While the professional, classy rose reminds you it's Tresor.

The new Tresor Lumineuse is a winner in my book. It still bears a soft outline of the original Tresor signature in the topnotes, but it is pleasant, flowery, yet warm and complex at the same time. The violet leaves are a great addition to the fragrance, keeping it from being too sweet and giving it a great depth. This scent develops in a beautiful way over a couple of hours on your skin. The final drydown is a soft, sweet musky, faintly chocolate and praline scent that is truly to die for. The complexity and great development of this scent make it stand out from other recently released scents and make me want to wear this every day now. I do not really find this scent comparable to La Vie est Belle because La Vie is such a sillage monster. Tresor Lumineuse is a polite scent with some projection that lasts a long time on skin but it does not take over a room, it just steals your heart.

Update 10/8/21 *This is my signature scent* I cannot tire of this beautiful fragrance. It's so, so pretty, like a beautiful warm hug, gourmand and yummy without being cloying or juvenile, richly blended. It's how I want to smell & be remembered. I don't wear it every day, but certainly on special occasions. ❤ Tresor Lumineuse is a "ladylike gourmand." I bought it BLIND for the praline and rose notes and those are definitely the most dominant. It's quite soft and sexy, definitely smells Parisian (not that I've ever been to Paris, so take that with the proverbial grain of salt). It's yummy yet soft and inoffensive, like a cashmere blanket of fragrance. If you like Stella by Stella McCartney you will like this, it's sweeter but just as sophisticated. If you DON'T like rose, you won't like this.

Bought this for my 11 yr old daughter at Duty Free and now I regretting myself for not buying it for myself too as I couldn't find the Tresor Lumineuse anywhere near our home :( The original Tresor is purely sweet..heavy sweets and sometimes can caused you nausea/migraines (in my case), lovely but I can only wear it in winter/night time. But the new Tresor Lumineuse is totally diffrent, This is an easy scent that you can wear for the whole year. It's elegant, Light not as Light as Versace Bright Crystal/Gucci Bamboo, Sweet but not overly sweet/heavy, I can't detect any alcohol/synthetic in this perfume which is GREAT unlike any other famous fragrances. Creamy-vanilla but Def NOT sickening!, Ultra Feminine,Delicate, Not that unique but still Amazing! LOVE

i initially wanted to purchase Tresor Le Nuit but after smelling Lumineuse i had a change of heart. The more i think about it Le Nuit smells very similar to LVEB which is just too much for me. it is way over used and i can literally detect it on any female that has it on. Tresor Lumineuse is a sparkling beautiful, romantic, sweet, and elegant perfume that reveals class and sophistication. it is hands down one of my sexiest scents! its a total pick me up that can change anyones mood. i cant wait to use this in fall and winter. it is the perfect date night scent and a lot of men love and compliment this one. Its a true gem and every lady should atleast try this one x

I was sold by the rose praline vanilla combo and had this perfume under my radar for quite a while but was also hesitant as I couldn’t test it and had to blind buy, till I decided to finally buy it before it becomes very rare and hard to find. I’m glad I did. I own both la vie est belle and la nuit tresor and to me it does not smell like those two. It might have slight similarities but hey, that’s like 80% of gourmand perfumes out there. So don’t rely on that if you’re blind buying. It’s a very soft and powdery perfume with that makeupy powdery touch coming from violet leaves. Very delicate and feminine.

This is the rosey perfume I've been searching for to substitute for boucheron jaipur femme which is now discontinued. Actually I tried this when I meant to try original tresor. At first five minutes or so I wasn't impressed. So I said meh and walked away. After A couple of hours I smelled a sweet rose scent aaaannddd I fell in love with it. For five minutes or so it is really sweet with praline. And then it turns to a sweet rose scent. I can't detect any vanilla which I like this, too so it stops the scent to be cakey or something. And violet leaf is a great accord in this. I love this!

more wearable compare to original Tresor. it is soft and sweet powdery scent. praline,violet leaf,vanilla, musk and sandalwood are completely dominant notes. all in all - sexy, young, modern and feminine maybe not last longer on woman but it last 12 hours on my skin. (honestly) i put on this perfume at 7:00am and it's last until 7:00pm. Tresor L'eau de Parfum Lumineuse, La vie Est Belle EDP La vie Est Belle L'eau de Parfum Intense, Hypnose EDP Miracle So Magic My favorite list from Lancome because they last a very long time on my skin. (i have no idea) at least 10 hours on me.

I just love this scent. My mom had a bottle of the original Tresor in the 90s. She rarely wore it, but I remember it vividly. I tried this new version of Tresor because I like the idea of a sparkly praline twist on the original, and that's exactly what I got! It smells so familiar to me, but definitely different from the original. I see that a lot of people describe citrus perfumes as being "happy" perfumes. I'm not a big fan of citrus, so to me, this perfume is my happy perfume. It's sweet and kind of bubbly, but not heavy at all.

This is a shot of sparkling champagne flavored jello, with the thinnest skin peel of a young apricot, freshly torn delicate violet leaves and soft rose petals. Sweet and slightly fizzy--not a creamy praline scent but the kind of praline that is all sugar and no milk. This is predominantly candied fruits and leaves. Projects well in the first few hours. Dries down to a light vanilla sugar, but retains some of the fruit nectar in its heart. Lingers on clothing, but not so much on bare skin.

Elegant, classy... definitely safe but in a way that is warm and cozy. The opening on me was luscious, almost tropical in a way. The rose soon developed, but wasn't at all powdery. Throughout wear the praline kept it sweet while the rose and violet, while noticeable, took a backseat. Not sure I would wear this in warm weather, but it's fall and I find myself wanting to wear it when I'm feeling casual but ladylike.

I'm so sad I purchased the La Nuit Tresor flanker instead of this one. I thought I was going to like the La Nuit but it's too heavy and similar to Angel by Mugler. This one on the other hand is truly a luminous praline scent. It's beautiful, subtle, sparkly and only lightly sweet. It drydowns to a soft musk with subtle praline/chocolate nuances, but it never looses its effervescent qualities either.

Pralines and roses for woman in love Wonderful flanker of Tresor by Lancome. What a great idea to add praline note to this composition. This perfume is beautiful, truly beautiful. Pralines and roses? Very romantic combination. Praline is the most dominant note, then I detect rose, sandal wood and vanilla. Romantic, sweet, sensual.

Raspberry pancakes with ice cream and honey. This is the very antithesis of the tortured and complex self-image that I want to project to the world but my nose is glued to my wrist. I have no idea what the original smells like but this is fabulous.

My favorite autumn perfume. Strangely I barely sense the rose, but on me it develops to a walnut-rum praline, lightened by flowery notes. It is sweet, but not as cloying as mainstream ones nowadays. Long lasting on skin, good sillage.

I recently smelled this on my mother-in-law, and I thought she smelled beautiful. If you like semi-sweet modern scents with praline note, try this out. This is less sweet, more fresh and much more elegant than La Vie Est Belle.

Praline! How could I possibly resist? Sweet but not sickening & long lasting. So nice it is one of a handful of fragrances that I bought twice. This is,to me, perfect for cold weather because it's warm & inviting

I tend not to like ozonic or aquatic fragrances but this is beautiful! Opens sweet and sparkling then settles into a soft, musky floral. Very easy to wear, fluffy and romantic.

Perfect example of a flanker being as good or better than the original. This scent is really superb. And wears for a very long time. Lancome should re-release this.

Smells almost identical to La Nuit Tresor. This is original Tresor DNA mixed with La Vie Est Belle, just not as cloyingly sweet.

passionata is right. this one tresor is similar with la vir est belle, it is softer i think (tresor). very sweet perfume.

Candied roses is what I detect!!! Awesome sillage and longevity. Makes me feel all womanly.

This one is way better than the original Tresor!

A grown-up first date fragrance. I've had my bottle for about 6 years now but haven't worn it much, in spite of it being a very nice feminine scent indeed. It opens with quite a bit of sweetness, but it's also quite sharp from the get-go and stays that way (on my skin at least). The rose is prominent but very modern and fresh, kind of makes me think of a crystal rose rather than a real flower, if it makes sense. And then the patchouli, I smell quite a lot of clean patchouli in this one. A lot of reviewers here seem to agree that this flanker is similar to the original; I've worn the original Tresôr (not the vintage version though) quite a bit and can't see many similarities between the two. If the original is a classy French lady with that aura of timeless elegance about her, then this one is her trendy millennial daughter who moved to New York at the age of 20 and has since embraced the fast pace of life and constant change, and their personal styles don't really have that much in common. To sum up, I like this one for being likable and feminine, and very balanced and modern, but I do think it's a tad generic, quite similar to many popular scents of its time (which is not a bad thing, but I'd appreciate it more if it had more uniqueness to it). It would be great for any situation, day or night, formal or not, would work for any season, in my opinion. I guess the reason I haven't worn it more is the synthetic quality that it has on my skin, I just keep getting something quite artificial and "clean", and I still enjoy it, but it just doesn't become one with my body chemistry, so I never felt it was a good fit for me, I prefer more natural scents on myself. Very decent though, a safe blind buy if you like the pyramid, and you'll probably never have to worry about it bothering anyone, it's just really pretty and pleasant. Edit 31/03/22: Been wearing it for a few days now. Maybe it's because my bottle is 6 or 7 years old now, or maybe my perception of it has changed, but I can definitely smell the original Tresôr in it a few hours in, especially after moving around and getting my skin to warm up a bit. I like it quite a bit, happy to have rediscovered this little gem after all these years.

As a big fan of the original Trésor, I quite like this flanker. The DNA of the original is present, but with sweeter and more delicate accords - less loud powdery rose, more subdued sugary rose. Also, the peach of the original is replaced with delicate violet. The caramel, nutty praline dominates the first spray, with rosy undertones. The praline notes smell delicious, uncannily close to the real thing. Vanilla is present, complementing the rosy praline accords perfectly, making this a nicely-balanced, soft gourmand scent. After the initial opening, the rose develops, becoming deep and sweet yet somehow restrained, and smells surprisingly natural. This scent becomes rose-dominated after about half an hour, and this is where it smells most similar to Trésor. The violet creeps in, adding a powdery yet green edge to the rose bouquet. The drydown is woody and slightly musky, beautiful and long-lasting. Sillage is moderate, and longevity is day-long. This is a pleasant, gourmand-esque rose scent made with surprisingly good quality ingredients. Sweet yet sophisticated, and very feminine. Buy this instead of La Vie Est Belle. 4/5.

Trésor EDP Lumineuse features a light citrus and green violet leaf in the opening. These fresh elements are wrapped in a gentle milkiness and nuttiness provided by praline, which makes the scent refreshing and bright without being too sharp. After about 40 minutes, a candied rose fully blooms in the heart. It has a noticeable tart fruity edge to balance the sweetness. The praline is perceptible throughout the development, but it always melts under the rose. I do catch whiffs of chocolate in the sillage, but when sniffed up close, it serves more like adding a velvety texture without compromising the luminescent profile of the rose. The praline and vanilla eventually become more substaintial when the fragrance dries down, which makes the candied rose feel more creamy, but they never overtake the whole compostion. The sillage is moderate and the longevity is around 11 hours. Trésor Lumineuse is not that original but quite enjoyable. And I find it actually bloomes beautifully under the late spring sun. I'd recommend it as a candied rose fragrance with a creamy but light texture.

Well, to start with - I don't like the original Tresor at all. With that said - I love Tresor Eau de Parfum Lumineuse. I don't want any sugarsweet notes in my parfumes - but here I find some dark, halfsweet, almost spicy Praline - I guess the woodnote comes thru and give that airy softspicy smell. I get a mix of Violet leaf, woody-notes, dark, soft Vanilla and some Rose. The sandalwood don't shine thru on my skin. This is a winner and a keeper =) Tja, jag kan börja med att säga att jag gillar inte originalet Tresor alls. Med den öppningen måste jag säga att jag älskar Tresor Eau de Parfum Lumineuse. Jag gillar inte sockersöta noter i mina dofter - men här hittar jag en mörk, halvsöt, aningens kryddig pralin - gissar att tränoterna går igenom och skapar den luftiga lätta kryddigheten jag känner. Jag får en mix av Viol-löv, Träiga noter, mörk mjuk Vanilj och lite Ros. Sandelträet känner jag inte alls. En vinnare och en självklar doft för samlingen.

Blind buy, you have not failed me! I ordered this because I absolutely love La Nuit Tresor and thought the notes in Lumineuse sounded amazing! If La Nuit is considered more of an evening, winter scent, then Lumineuse would be her daytime, spring counterpart. The opening is amazing and truly the entire composition has me hooked from start to finish. Lumineuse truly dances around you, teases you. Even with just one spray to my forearm she's there lingering around me with wafts of praline and rose and vanilla flirting with me. If LVEB is too dense and strong or if the incense in La Nuit bothers you, Lumineuse would be a lovely, enchanting alternative. It's fresh, but still sweet. Warm, but not thick. Everything blends so beautifully. Lumineuse is such an elegant, versatile, and dreamy flanker. I'm so happy to have this in my collection. I have a feeling it will be worn a lot!

This is a great flanker. I was worried when I read that one of the accords is ozonic, because I generally don't like ozonic fragrances - but the ozonic, woody nature of this one makes it very interesting. It's not your typical gourmand twist on a fragrance. It's sweeter but also more sparkly. The name makes sense, it's Tresor but illuminated, glistening. The first burst is sharp with violet leaf - it's sharp and almost astringent but in the BEST way, because it's also warm and sweet at the same time. And then that BEAUTIFUL Tresor rose comes up, with all the backbone of Tresor, but it's shimmering and faceted. This is a good one, a worthy flanker - I like it when flankers introduce something interesting to the fragrance, instead of just making "versions" that are pleasing for various audiences: "One for the gourmand lovers! One for the ones who don't like strong perfume!"

01. october 2013 I find it to have nothing in common with the original tresor, i wonder why they even put the "tresor" name on it. It is a modern sweet praline-vanilla perfume, the rose is very soft in here, softened by violets. Fresh, soft and sweet.enjoyable and in the vein of "La vie est belle legere". This is getting ridiculous now, the same company releases similar scents under different names. Of course they are not completely the same, but the general impression is common. Poor "Tresor"... Do not get me wrong: it is not bad, but not necessary one to be impressed by. I actually really like this one, it just should not wear the name of the classic. P.S. Actually it is "L ́eau de parfum".

it starts out in what my husband called fruity bubblegum. and i agree 100%. its sweet and fruity. then it dries down and matures a lot. i get a nutty praline, rose, and violet leaf that adds some dimension and maturity. there is a little vanilla in the background on me. i think its a nice fragrance. mature more for a 30+ yr old. refined enough to be wearable to work, and an everyday perfume. not very sexy though. i imagine a woman who is 30 and dresses casual, but has the air that she can dress up like the best of them. shes quiet and refined, but also easy to talk to.

The praline note in here is quite lovely, it actually smells like a realistic praline- tender, nutty and slightly smoky- and isn't simply being used as an excuse to add a gooey sugar bomb characteristic to the fragrance. This immediately took me back to the gift shops in the French Quarter of New Orleans where pralines are everywhere. The violet leaf is very "green" and it is blended elegantly with the soft, sweet praline. The Tresor DNA is delicately but unquestionably present. Overall, Tresor Lumineuse is a softer and more gentle composition than the original.

Lumineuse is an amazing perfume. It has nothing to do with the original Tresor. It's romantic, innofensive, sweet, fresh and elegant at the same time. The rose is prominent when you first spray and continues smoothly until the drydown. It's not a synthetic rose although. Praline,vanilla and a powdery-musky note dominate at the drydown. It's suitable for spring and summer time, even at work cause it's not offensive. The sillage is moderate and longevity good too.

This one is a bit shy, but very teasing. It dances around you with small wiffs for several hours. Next person have to hug me or stand close, to share those wiffs. A lot better then the Original in my opinion. Denna är lite blyg, men väldigt retsam. Den dansar runt mig med små doftfläktar i många timmar. Nästa person måste krama mig eller stå nära för att uppleva dessa fläktar. Denna versionen är klart bättre än originalet, tycker jag.

I love this version. I enjoy violets when they are mixed with sweet notes and the contribution of rose is making this composition even more beautiful. Although the notes like praline / vanilla is there, it doesn't smell like a gourmand, they are just added sweetness to the lovely floral notes. Having no peach in the composition is another plus and this the most different flanker from original Tresor.

L'acidità della rosa di Damasco domina la fragranza dall'inizio alla fine; molto deciso è anche il muschio bianco. Le note dolci della vaniglia e delle praline non riesco a percepirle. Secondo il mio parere è un ottimo profumo con l'essenza di rosa e per una persona che non ama le rose questa fragranza è riuscita a far cambiare la mia opinione. All the notes are easy to detect. I can sense praline, rose, violet leaf, sandalwood and woody notes the most. Violet leaf gives it a darker tone, but it's still much better than the original Tresor. Sweet, woody and spicy notes mixed with violet leaf note. I must admit I find it quite interesting. I'm glad it's not just another sweetness bomb, like it seemed to be at first.

Quite sweet at the beginning, but light. Pleasant, but a bit strange too. Hard to describe. I think that blend of oriental ingredients and violet leaf gives a bizarre effect in middle and base notes. However, it's nice. Just extraordinary.

This was a sweet nutty floral and very wearable perfume. A little did go a long way, so it was a good investment.

Smells really similar to Flowerbomb.

I am seriously perplexed by the comparisons to LVEB and LNT. I don't smell any sweetness or praline at all. All I'm getting is a very green violet leaf with some rose. The rose is not sweet or powdery but very fresh and dewy. Yes, this is a very bright and sparkling fragrance but something about this is throwing me off (pretty sure it's the violet leaf). I feel like a lot of people on Fragrantica exaggerate the sweetness of certain perfumes that have sweet notes, and I'm left disappointed when I receive them. I have to take reviews with a grain of salt on here from now on. This is not a sweet fragrance. This is a nice generic fragrance but I'm disappointed in this one overall. I'd be willing to sell this to anyone here in the United States if interested.

It gives me an imagery of a velvet red rose dipped in chocolate fondue on an open window at night time with a slight cool breeze, or alternatively a chocolate praline filled with rose petals and rose liquor. The violet leaf makes it interesting and gives a nice watery and airy element. A warm, alluring scent perfect for colder weather. EDIT: It has the most realistic note of a red rose that I've ever smelled. In the beginning the violet leaf is dominant, but then the chocolate gets stronger and goes on melting as the fragrance progresses to a chocolate-rose filling. It dries down to a vanilla, musky powdery sandalwood.

I finally got to try this today at my local John Lewis (UK). Although Tresor EDP Lumineuse is already available on the John Lewis website, it's not yet available to buy at the Lancome counter, but the sales assistant had a tester bottle in the stock room that she let me test. Apparently it's due to be launched here soon, but she didn't know when exactly. It also seems to be available at a couple of other UK retailers now including Boots, so that's good news. To me it smells less heavy than the original Tresor, and less cloying than La Vie Est Belle. It's quite a fresh perfume which I could imagine wearing in the Spring. It is very sweet and just about retains an essence of the original Tresor. I actually think I might prefer Lumineuse to the original, although it's nowhere near as ground-breaking or unique. It's young, pretty, modern and elegant. Might have to buy a bottle of this! That said, I'm going to wait until the new La Vie Est Belle EDT is launched so that I can compare the two side by side, before deciding which I like the most. I would describe Lumineuse as a cross between Tresor and La Vie Est Belle EDP Legere. EDIT: Having tested this a few times now I've changed my mind about it... There's something 'screechy' about it that's very off-putting and that reminds me of some sort of household cleaning fluid. I couldn't wear this without it inducing headaches. It's almost as if the notes clash. Unfortunately this is now a 'dislike' for me.

I'd love to be able to write a review of this perfume... it sounds right up my street. Unfortunately, I've been unable to find it in any of my local department stores. Whenever I've approached a sales assistant at the Lancome counter and asked about this (or Tresor L'Absolu), they've looked at me as if they haven't got a clue what I'm talking about and think I must be mistaken, before showing me either Tresor In Love or La Vie Est Belle. If anyone knows where I can find Tresor EDP Lumineuse in the UK, please let me know! EDIT: Just contacted Lancome (UK) and was told that this perfume has already been discontinued and is not available for sale in any UK stores.

I think this is the one I tried in the store last night. The salesperson identified it as the "new Tresor" as opposed to the "old Tresor" but it looked like the picture here. I sprayed a card with it, but some of the juice got on my thumb, and within a minute all I could smell was celery! Later on, it settled into a sort of ghost of the original Tresor, very identifiable. I'm still not a Tresor fan, but it's more enjoyable in a lighter version. I won't be buying it because if I want to smell celery it's cheaper to go home and make some soup, haha. ;)
