Blue Orchid

Blue Orchid is one of those scents that I spray on and can instantly feel my mood being boosted. I think this is going to be used more in the upcoming months because it tended to fall flat in the cold. I really appreciate how balanced this scent is. You get just the perfect amount of citrus, sweet, floral, and musk without one overpowering the other. There’s the slightest suggestion of a dryer sheet at the core of this scent but it’s not one of those perfumes that is solely that. The best way I can describe this is that it smells like the best aspects of air, water, and sun were blended together if that makes any sense. Like others said, the bottle is beautiful. I feel like the color is a great representation of what this perfume is: clean, light, crisp, pure, and harmonious. Blue Orchid does remind me of another perfume that I have in my collection which is First Instinct Sheer by Abercrombie & Fitch. They aren’t identical as Blue Orchid is more complex and performs better on me but they definitely share similarities. For as affordable as this fragrance is, the longevity and sillage are outstanding. It’s not for everyone but I can’t see many people hating this.

I don't remember the last time I was so enchanted by a fragrance. Ever since I smelled Chloe Love eau florale perfume, I couldn't find anything to beat it. But it stopped being produced. Personally, it reminds me a lot of Chloe Chloe eau florale, even though they differ in composition. But both have something clean, powdery and at the same time fresh in them. I am also surprised by the intensity, as it is an eau de toilette. It contains 22% scented essences, which is decent. For me, a year-round scent, ideal for warm weather. I love the freshness of the lemon, the powderiness of the iris and violet, and the base of musk. Love at first sniff.

Those who are familiar with Éclat by Lanvin would know how the line would use combinations of accords from apple and Iris and musk. I have to say, I am a male and this is my signature scent now. Its soft, its safe and yet so juicy and fruity at the same time. Yes you would smell like u jst got out of shower and theres nothg wrong with that. I live in tropical climate and this scent is perfect! Spray it right, it wud be such a comfort scent. Clean, crisp and uplifting. The color and the name for this perfume is befitting! love it ❤️

Very fresh, clean, scent without smelling soapy. I typically don't go for citrusy scents so I wasn't too excited when I was gifted a bottle of this, but I was very pleasantly surprised! Just the right amount of citrus, slightly sweet, and there's something warm about it when it dries down. Sillage and longevity are moderate, and this performs really well for an eau de toilette. Will get another bottle of this when I run out!

Fantastic quintessential musky floral. Popularly sold in Sasa Hong Kong. Dislike Tonka or Amber dominant fragrances but here Tonka provides a sweet, crowd pleasing base with musk adding a sensual element colored by light citrus and beautiful floral notes.

Underrated gem. The quality can rival some niche fragrances, even if the longevity is on the lighter side. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it A floral done in a more modern way—fresh, lightly sweet, and far from the typical dense, feminine style

I’m surprised no one has mentioned the similarity of this perfume with Chanel Chance Eau Tendre! It’s like the mellowed-down, softer sister of CC ET — which I love. I can imagine layering this with that one. Lovely sweet floral smell.

This smells just like DG "Light blue"! Amazing! The difference between them is so so little. I am so happy I have got for 20 dollars 100 ml of.. "Light blue":)) ! 10/10

This fragrance is a lighter version of Prada Infusion d’Iris. It smells like a body mist of Prada Infusion d’Iris, which, by the way, is my favorite scent for summer.

I feel Prada Paradoxe vibes here and I like it a lot. If you like Paradoxe, try this one. The beginning is sharp but it opens up heavenly after 5-10minutes

This particular fragrance genuinely captures the essence of cleanliness and soapiness. truly lives up to its description, definitely buying a full bottle.

The frag starts with a sour lemon /I do not smell an apple/, this phase reminds me Lanvin Eclat d Arpege. That sourness stays and iris begins with powderly note. The end is sour-powder-musky. It is like a veil around you, so light frag 🌬️🍃I do not like powdery frags because of headaches, but this is really nice, I like it. I can wear it. You can think, that the frag is shortlasting, but it is just soft and light. It was my blind buy, I was afraid, but it is surprisingly good frag.

This one really impressed me. I was looking for a simple clean scent for those days when you don’t really want to wear “a perfume” but just want to smell clean and nice. Molecules, JHAG, and similar perfumes were not really doing that for me. But this one does! Its very pleasant, simple, clean, slightly sweet (but not overpowering at all). Lasting power is quite decent (unlike other Lanvins) and the price is super affordable!

Nice clean and powdery iris, slightly soapy. Could be the cologne version of shalimar parfum initial mixed with some luxury laundry powder. A good « after the shower » scent, very office appropriate, white shirt and pearl necklace compatible. Weak lasting power. Edit : good point : you can find it at good price, I paid about 48€ for a 50 ml bottle in an apothecary.

right, so nothing groundbreaking, a fresher, lifted take on iris & musk, former with some carroty aspects which I like btw. Smells quite natural, and while it's not something complex or unique, it's well-blendedness and minimalistic chic is rather alluring. It's just that is barely there, so close to skin that keeps me from buying FB.

I tried this on the store. Its a clean, fresh, kinda soapy scent. Very soft. And very "unisex" (i dont like that word because to me every fragrance is for everybody, but you get the idea) My suggestion: dont spend a lot o money on this. The bottle is lovely. Very elegant

Cold rain of a scent. Clear droplets quench temperature around. A lot of lemon and tart apples. Oleander-like flowers and powdery iris. Austere musk. Very France-Italy scent. Likeable, lovable even.

Powdery. Must be the iris I pick up the most. 🤔 I've got the EDT, so it's quite light. But still nice enough.

For me, Blue Orchid smells like iris from start to finish. A soft, powdery iris but... "carrot-y." And that’s where I have a problem because I really don’t like the scent of carrots or parsnips in iris fragrances. It’s true that this particular scent fades over time, but unfortunately, I’ll never stop smelling it. So, overall, a disappointment because I had read a lot of praise for this fragrance, which can even be found at a very reasonable price. Conclusion: you have a 50/50 chance, depending on what your nose tells you... Edit: Over time, my nose picks up more of the apple and lemon (although the iris remains very present), and I find it quite pleasant after all. Let’s just say that for the price, it's perfectly decent.

Failed blind buy for me I dislike apple note and was hoping for lemon to be stronger but at the first spritz the apple smell was overwhelming with barely any lemon to be found I thought maybe it will get better in the dry down I love powdery scents its my favorite fragrance group but this DOESN’T FEEL POWDERY - IT’S SUGARY and yes it is different The sugary feeling is reminiscent of the SdJ 59 which I love but here instead of classy sandalwood vanilla you have tonka bean which somehow does not enhance it in a pleasant way Iris note is surprisingly faint and i get no soapiness This feels very fresh in the beginning but soon after turns warm sweet with an apple note clashing in the background I will be giving this one away

This is like if Chanel Chance eau tendre scent profile had a little perfume baby with the BR540 profile (minus the dentist office note!). So light and pretty, a perfect summer perfume for those who like delicate perfumes that aren't too sharp! It also shares some classic Lanvin DNA (creamy musk!) and is reminiscent of Modern princess but without the red apple and with added powdery Iris) . It has a super sweet green apple note though (hard candy style so not the most natural apple) and overall it’s far more fruity than I had expected! Oh dear.... I want the others in this range now! (Have ordered magnolia and lily!). This is the safest of the bunch I think!

This fragrance is like something I’ve never smelt before. When I have, it was a total eye opener. Fragrance arts never felt the same way after that. I received a whole new perspective. Incredibly soapy, sparkling, clean. As someone did mention - no floral notes seem visible within the composition. With the first spray, the smell comes off as very sharp, but you shouldn’t be judging this perfume by it’s first impression. It certainly needs a minute or two to open. It’s opening is a lot more sweeter than it’s first impression. The smell becomes balanced. Blending.

Tried a tester of this perfume. It’s a simple, warm, clean scent. It smells mostly of tonka mixed with a soapy note to me. I don’t love it enough to buy a bottle, but if you’re looking for a simple everyday scent, this could be it, especially with such a affordable price tag.

This is okay, but in my opinion really has nothing special to it. A basic, nicely done floral with some juicy sparkling citrus. I'd not buy a full bottle of this myself, but I can imagine this would work for someone looking for something simple or a safe gift!

I love the opening scent. It’s clean floral like a working woman. But after 6 hours, it smells super powdery like foundation or some kind of makeup. This powdery scent annoys me and wanna take a shower. Maybe this scent is for powdery lover...

Very soft, powdery floral fragrance, fits to everyday wear, office-friendly definitely, also a cozy home perfume, maybe even a bit "quiet luxury" type. Very pleasant. The bottle is simple and elegant, matches well with the nature of the scent.

Based on the reviews I blind bought this and I am not impressed It gives fresh floral deodorant with a hint of toilet freshener - on my very tricky skin. Perfumes usually all smell like lily on me but this just smells cheap and sour

Cool & spicy Iris Blue, modern, unisex

Unfortunately, I had to blind buy Blue Orchid because it was recently available in the US and I couldn't find anyone selling samples. This is just lemony musk. No powdery note that I expected from the iris, and no sweetness. Very disappointed I have to send Blue Orchid back.

This is a thin lemony, laundry soap smelling, musky scent. Don't let the word "Orchid" fool you. I really can't discern floral notes in this scent...it's so... synthetic and generic...almost like a body mist made with laundry soap...it reminds me a little bit of Versace "woman" but way more generic if that is even possible...Calgon body scents and this line might pass as siblings... I got a sample set with the 3 scents of this line...not impressed. Do not blind buy.

What a strange experience, it smells like a vanity case, first the shower gel, the smart floral shampoo, the fruity healthy conditioner, than starts the moisturizing cold-cream, the chalky deodorant, and the rice powder face, the fantasy pink blush, the thick kohl eyeliner, and finally the greasy shiny lipstick, somehow old fashioned but indeed so expensive my dear. The journey is curiously comforting, a bit disturbing too, unusual, and very interesting.

This one really should’ve been called Blue Iris, there’s barely a trace of orchid here, at least not in any recognizable way. What you do get is a clean, sweet floral with a citrusy-soapy freshness. Very much in the D&G Light Blue universe, just sweeter. Nothing memorable or particular, but it does what it promises: a simple, clean floral that smells like you just stepped out of a shower.

clean but not too soapy. the citrus wears off quickly and then it’s powdered musk, put together, classy, quiet yet present. it might feel like something is missing in the middle, but for a light, clean scent it does its job. very work-friendly. something i’d wear to bed.

This is essentially a very light (no pun intended) version of light blue but with a prominent iris note.

I love iris. ..Can't wait to sniff this 😉
