Crescendo

I have a big old bottle of the extrait from the mid 60s. It's a sexy, spicy tuberose and carnation bomb on an amber incense base. There's a pinch of soapiness but nothing like the aldehydic soap found in other Lanvin contemporaries like Arpege and My Sin. If you put this in an expensive looking niche bottle it would sell for way too much today. I'm a female and I love it - but this would smell great on the right man too. There's nothing "old lady" about my bottle of Crescendo.

Daytime goth gentleman. Incense, orris, and a careful balance of tuberose and carnation. Very good.

I'm happy with another wonderful eBay find. This bottle is OLD! The top notes definitely sing cedar, though the note isn't listed. Dry down is right to incense, nag champa. There's something very exotic and old, but sexy about this scent. Nag champa can be headache or gag-inducing, but this is not. Very respectful and deep with secret knowledge - Indiana Jones kind of stuff, this will be one to explore further. I can definitely see myself wearing this shopping in the artsy parts of town or meeting someone at the coffee shop. I'm curious how time has effected my sample. Unfortunately, longevity is not good.
