Eclat d'Arpege Tropical Flower

As lovely as the original Eclat. To be honest, I cannot put my finger on what the difference is between the two, but I think it's slightly greener/fresher/less floral. If you love the original, you will also appreciate this true flanker which smells very similar, but probably holds up better to hot temperatures.

this is a very nice, easygoing floral that i honestly had zero expectations for as i got my bottle secondhand from my mom after it sat virtually unused on her dresser for several years. i'm not sure if it's because my bottle is so old, but this lasts way longer than you'd think based on the scent profile. yesterday i applied at about 9 am and totally put my fragrance out of my mind until around 4:30 pm when my mom was like "wow, whatever you're wearing right now smells really nice". as far as resemblance to the original, i struggle to find much of a difference to be perfectly honest. i guess if anything this one is veeeery slightly more fresh and breezy than the og. that being said both are lovely. however i don't think the name "tropical flower" suits this flanker at all, and i'm honestly kind of baffled why they went with a tropical theme.

I'm not guna lie. The bottle design and acrylic encasing of this fragrance really got me. I thought it was beautiful so I bought it. But even with how beautiful this bottle is, the scent just isn't it. In a nutshell, it opens up like original Eclat Darpege, which I adore! But this flanker dries down into a synthetic non detectable note that I wouldn't even say is fruity or tropical. Based on the reviews, I knew it'd probably be a pass for me. But gosh, it's so beautiful! The cap, the bottle design, I love looking at it! If it was a mini I would keep it. But I'm going to regift it to the right person. Maybe a young kid or bottle collector who will appreciate the beauty. If you love the Eclat Darpege, you will not like this as much as that one. Sad because I really wanted to love this one.
