Oxygene

Hmm, I see that 'lactonic' seems to be the word of the moment on this thread! Almost every review recently posted for Oxygene seems to contain that word! Why not just say milky or creamy, or are those words deemed to be too commonplace and boring?! Anyhoo, this is a current review for Oxygene after my one from ages ago which may be lost in the mix now! I discovered Oxygene as an online blind buy a few years ago and it is easily one of my most successful blind buy purchases, and I made many of those and some were horrendous and stinky, despite some very positive reviews for them on here! Thank god Oxygene lived up to expectations and it's now a regular in my perfume collection and one I would hate to be without so I hope it's never discontinued! It's a great everyday, wear anywhere kind of perfume that's highly unlikely to annoy anyone who comes within sniffing range of it. It's clean but with personality and some uniqueness - one of my favourite types of perfume. At first spritz (and I usually only wear 1-2 spritzes of perfume as I like a light touch and don't want to reek of any perfume!) it's a bit peppery and flowery, which may sound weird but it's fine! Then, after half an hour or so on me that's when my favourite bit emerges and it becomes creamy and softer, very shower fresh and clean, lotion'y smelling. That lasts for hours and hours on me with no need to top-up, and the scent lasts even longer on my clothes so I can still smell it easily after 24+ hours. Some people seem to class Oxygene as an aquatic perfume, presumably because of the colour of the scent, but to me it absolutely isn't. It's just nice and creamy and clean smelling. To me, many aquatics come off as being a bit cold and lacking in personality, and Oxygene is the opposite. Also, as others have mentioned, the bottle is very nice. It's un-fussy, almost unisex, and ergonomic (if that can be said for a perfume bottle!), fitting neatly in the hand, and there's no lid to have to flaff around with! The price of Oxygene is also very reasonable for such a good quality perfume and no doubt it could easily cost 2-3 times, or more, the price if it was from a pricier perfume house such as Dior. So, all-in-all I highly recommend Oxygene for anyone seeking a creamy clean smelling, unique, wear anywhere, reasonably priced, nicely bottled perfume. It's a definite 10 out of 10!

As a HUGE fan of Oxygene (which has been one of my best blind buy perfumes so far in the past few years since I started buying perfumes online) I feel the need to clarify something: Oxygene is NOT (and I repeat ... NOT!!) an aquatic perfume. I've read over and over again reviews on here saying that it doesn't smell like an aquatic perfume, that the reviewers "didn't get the aquatic in this perfume", that aquatic scents don't work on them, etc, etc, etc. The only reason I can think of why anybody would assume this is an aquatic perfume is from a) misleading reviews and b) the colour of the scent itself which is a lovely 'tropical seas' shade of blue. Also, someone has compared Oxygene to Bath and Body Works Sea Island Cotton. I can see why that comparison may have sprung to mind BUT Oxygene is SOOO much better than Sea Island Cotton. I had a bottle of SIC (another blind internet buy!) and really didn't like it at all, even though I love clean smelling perfumes. It was very cheap smelling to my nose, very 'shrill' and just smelled of cheap fabric softener / dryer sheets. Oxygene is a perfume with a surprising peppery kick in the beginning, oddly straddling the florals, but that quickly dissipates (in about 5 minutes on me!), becoming a very soft, creamy yet floral, clean, fresh out of the shower, 'cuddly' perfume. On me it smells very much like an expensive, lovely creamy body lotion / triple milled, exquisite smelling soap. Despite being such a soft, clean smelling perfume, on me Oxygene lingers FOREVER (especially if I spritz a little in the small of my back or on my tummy) and outlasts many perfumes that are far more expensive (and overpriced!). I only need one or two spritzes and never need to reapply it because it lasts so long! It garners many compliments and is perfect for me to wear anytime, anywhere. I'd be lost now without my Oxygene and if I had to get rid of all of my numerous perfumes and only keep one this would be the one (well, OK, along with my Pacifica French Lilac perfume!!), even though I like to not stick to using just one perfume all the time. It's pretty much perfect for me and I love it now just as much as I did when I first encountered it several years ago!! It's a real gem. :-)

Hands down the cleanest creamy fragrance I’ve ever sniffed! Creamy but super clean and fresh. This seems very unisex to me as there’s nothing that veers in either direction, it’s fresh out of the shower clean skin smell. Mind you it’s also strong and I can really smell it in the room. Can’t wait to wear this and will come back with a wear test review! I persuaded my Fiancé to test this with me too because it's pretty unisex. On him the top notes hung around in the dry down but on me this was sweet and powdery in a slight baby powder way. Lactonic on both and absolutely amazing on us both. We will share this one! One of the most stand alone creations in my collection, really fascinating and addictive! Nov 2022 - This is just such a stunner. It's super comforting and although it is a very unique scent that's hard to compare to others, I think if you like Cerutti 1881 and Cacherel Noa, maybe even Burberry Brit Rhythm, then this would probably float your boat. It's got a bar soapy / body cream sort of musk that the milk note really rounds out. The sandalwood is powdery and not at all sharp or overtly woody. It's also very sweet but not in a vanilla way - I feel the notes should include sugar! There is something slightly violet-like and on me but it's just generally a touch floral and the pepper just gives a slight spicy warmth. It's less peppery on me than (for instance) Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina, which I couldn't stand the pepper in! I've smelt a fresh bottle of Oxygene as well as an old one that had clearly gone bad and the bad bottle was hyper peppery, so this is one that's best not to get second hand! This is a powerhouse on me and last for hours. I think there is quite a big scent bubble with this considering it's a fresh and clean sorta scent. I'm very aware I'm wearing Oxygene and I adore it! Hubby isn't even getting a look-in 'cause this one is MINE! Haha!

I just read Hedward's review which says ".... Before I start talking about the scent itself I must quote a reviewer (guest_Vie Cafe) here: "In early 2000s, perfumes, it seems, were created and blended in a way where all the notes were coming at you in one punch of nondescript recognizable scent. You could tell what someone was wearing by name, but you could not identify any note". Spot on. Lanvin Oxygene is no exception - it's blended to absolute perfection. Yes, I can name some of the notes: musk, sandalwood, hints of spacey iris and peppery gardenia... the thing is however that they form an unison ...." The one word which leapt out to me from the quote from _Vie Cafe is "nondescript". That to me is not at all apt for Oxygene. Nondescript means "lacking distinctive or interesting features or characteristics" but Oxygene DOES have interesting features and characteristics, mainly the contrast between the pepperiness of the opening and the creaminess and floral combo. Also, at least some of the notes in Oxygene CAN be easily defined, plus Oxygene is not a perfume many people would be able to know by name what the wearer is wearing unlike, say, Poison, Angel, etc, which ARE more 'slap you around the face' kind of perfumes and are far more ubiquitous (very unfortunately, in the case of Angel which I detest and which totally turns my stomach!!). So, just because a perfume is more subtle and less immediately definable than the stinkbomb types does NOT mean it's nondescript!! It's the kind of distinction, say, between sexy and slutty - one is more toned down and subtle, the other is in-your-face and brazen! Personally, I prefer wearing perfumes that are not so definable that 99.9% of people who smell me would immediately know exactly what I was wearing .... better to have some mystery!

This perfume reminds me of Unzipped by Perfumer's workshop, it is a scent with a similar composition, floral, with some musk. Unzipped has roses, jasmine, magnolia with cocoa, chocolate. This scent is floral, with gardenia, roses and iris. I can feel it to be well blended, it is indeed creamy, milky, it does have the effect, the gardenia is a rather mushroom one, a rather ripe one, the iris is so present providing powdery floral support, the musk and pepper is there supporting the flowers. First I smell the ripe gardenia, and now after drying it is rosy, the rose is somehow standing out. It's blended but I can tell the notes apart by smelling it, the pepper is spicy- pleasant and not offensive, the musk is good. Overall good, pleasant, floral, I bought it for the gardenia, its there but does not take center stage but is in a bouquet with rose and the flowers are in woody, musky, semi-spicy vase, if you can visualize it. I seek gardenia, it is there again, ripe, mushroom-like and good, but again it veers to towards a mix with the powdery iris and rose, just like Unzipped which also has rose, iris and magnolia instead of gardenia. These are my initial impressions and have yet to keep sensing and smelling it, overall its good and pleasant, rosy, floral, musky. The rose is very present, as is the iris, all floral notes are present and put together, in a milky, creamy fluid of a scent, sprinkled with spicy pepper, and set in musk and wooden cup. I guess what captures me is the unique milk note, the musk and the gardenia combination, so little perfumes have the milk note, its the milk note that makes this stand out. Blind bought this cuz it looked really nice, the bottle is pretty and the reviews were good. And it didnt disappoint! At all. This is more than i could ask for when it comes to a 30 euro fragrance. Its milky but fresh at the same time. Kind of like cardemom ice cream. It smells clean and sliiightly soapy, so be mindful! I think certain ppl would consider this a grandma fragrance, but i never know why that would be a negative thing. Why wouldnt you want to smell wise, experienced, caring, skilled and motherly? Luckily for you victims of Big Phanilla, this smells kind of gourmand. Its not like a warm cozy baked food item, it definitely reminds me of an artisanal ice cream. Maybe even a rose milk. If you’ve ever been to turkey and tried ‘damla sakızlı dondurma’, or any other milk dessert with mastic gum, this will definitely remind you of that. Mastic ice cream is my favorite flavor, and thats what the drydown smells like. So basically, a cardemom ice cream at first and a mastic ice cream later. Very very beautiful and unique! Surprisingly complex and original. I have nothing but praise for this scent, granted i have yet to see its performance throughout the day. I’m a guy and i this is slightly feminine leaning unisex. So be wary if you want something masculine or genderless. This will however make you stand out since i have never met anyone that smells like this. Definitely consider sampling if you can! And if you want to blind buy, and you’re 100% sure you will like it, then you wont be disappointed. I will say that it doesnt smell like straight up milk. Its fizzy and i think its the pepper thats causing this. I love it but you may not if you’re looking for s very creamy milky scent

Just received my bottle of this delectable fragrance. I can honestly say that I won't be wearing my "Montblanc - Signature" EVER as long as I have a bottle of "Oxygene" around! It's creamy, floral, soft yet it project and the sillage on it is AMAZING!! It does have a "Dove Soap" feel to it...but honestly, in the oppressive heat of the summer...that's what you want! The dry down on this is a creamy, milky soft floral that reminds me of a soap I experienced during a weekend stay at the "Waldorf Astoria" for one of my aunts Beautician business conferences back when I was a kid. This is a luxurious fragrance that carries an air of sophistication and refinement that I have only experienced in fragrances from Dior and Chanel. And this delightful experience comes at a price less than $20!!! Unbelievable. My wife and I both sprayed it onto our wrists when it arrived and then went out shopping. Now mind you, I'd already put on 3 sprays of "Alexandria Fragrances - Drooling in love" (Kilian - Rolling in love) before leaving the house. The whole time we were out, I could only smell "Oxygene" and not the tuberose cloud of the other fragrance. That tells me everything I needed to know. My son and wife have already demanded that I order them bottles so I'm headed back to Ebay to order another two right now. That gives me more bottles to sneak sprays from....mwahahaha!! This may end up in my "Top-10 Fragrances" selection....wow. This is amazing stuff!

his was probably my most successful blind buy ever. This fragrance is perfectly balanced and absolutely gorgeous. It has a soft, feminine, delicate scent that reminds me of a sweet body cream or lotion. The milk and iris notes create the most beautiful creamy, comforting effect. It’s not spicy or sharp at all, so don’t let the pepper note fool you. The opening might have a slight lemony touch, but it’s the soft, sweet kind. As it develops, you experience one of the most beautiful, delicate, and unique sweetness profiles I’ve ever found in a fragrance at this price point. The scent is incredibly unique, feminine, and gentle. It’s not aquatic at all; rather, it’s creamy, fresh, soft, and floral. The longevity is honestly excellent, and I’ve received lots of compliments while wearing it. Used it again, rediscovered it, now its milky, gardenia with pepper, I love it, the musky freshness makes it all so pleasant. At first, I did not understand it, but now it just blooms into a lovely, milky gardenia scent with pepper and musk. with underlying Rosey, sweetness. Thus it satisfied what I sought, a gardenia scent, the added milk note makes it special, the musk sexy and the pepper too. I like gardenia scents and this is one of them on my list and collection now. The downside is it's not very durable and has a weak projection, I have to respray several times, it is sad because it is supposed to be an eu de parfum and not a toilette. A lovely milky, peppery, gardenia musk scent that is truly special. The oxygene meaning I think is like a metaphor for how one breathes such a delightful scent, inhaling such a fragrant note that is the scent of gardenia. Oxygene as in inhaling, testing, fragrant, breathing the lovely scent, it is not aquatic but a floral, spicy, musk perfume. By the way the sandalwood is also standing out too, also adding to the milky effect, a pleasant spicy, woody, musky, milky white floral, with powdery iris and sweet rose. Milky Gardenia, with musk and pepper, truly heavenly for me!

OMG...this is different. Takes me back to the old, old perfumes (Mitsouko, Chanel, but not because they're chypres, I don't think). Starts out clean, aquatic, airy and floral for the shortest time, but ends up very powdery...maybe I'm mistaking some of the lactonic notes as powder. Talk about a cloud...this is a cloud...and it gets better the longer you have it on. It's an interesting and unexpected transformation from a clean, sparkly floral to a heavily lactonic and powdery dry down...it bridges the whole scent experience from high to low. If it were music, it'd be a constant tumble from the highest highs, to the lowest resonant rumbles. Yes, the sprayer is annoying, but ignore it. This bottle was part of my quest to find great, inexpensive, older fragrances...there are many...and this is one. It's an experience I wouldn't want to miss. Trying to understand what the name "Oxygene" has to do with this perfume...I haven't a clue. Here's what someone said on Wikipedia: Oxygène has been described as the album that "led the synthesizer revolution of the Seventies"[5] and "an infectious combination of bouncy, bubbling analog sequences and memorable hook lines". Hmmm...I wonder...

You have to enjoy clean floral scents to truly appreciate this one. It is very lotion/cream-like gardenia and I get a tiny bit of iris too. I think it's beautiful. For a clean scent it has really good longevity, around 6 hours. Update: - After spending a few months with Oxygene I can certainly say that this is an underrated gem. Its a true clean girl "your skin but better" classic thats in the same vein as such scents like A Drop D'Issey, Cacherel Noa and JLo's Glow. I get a lovely prominent gardenia note thats quite soapy but in the best way, and a touch of powdery iris that gives it a luxe face cream type of scent. The milk note is light and airy, not heavy or sweet, and the pepper is barely there, but plays in the background to give the fragrance some depth. This is an easy reach for me when I dont feel like wearing perfume or want something thats light but still smells good. It performs well, not overly strong but quite long lasting. Not mad about the bottle though as it is quite bulky and have to use two hands to hold and spray it, but I appreciate its frutiger aero aesthetic; it was definitely of its era.

Oxygene starts out with black pepper that almost makes me sneeze, but I actually like that. Then I smell ozonic fresh notes and watery florals, it reminds me of freesias at this stage and also has a 90s summer fragrance vibe. But this fragrance develops different from what you would expect from the first blast and soon turns to a creamy, beautiful clean musk with hints of sandalwood on my skin. If scents had a color, Oxygene would be blue in the opening, but white like milk in the drydown. It doesn‘t smell like literal milk though, it just conveys a milky feeling. This somewhat reminds me of Narciso EDP (white cube), as they both share musk, gardenia and woodsy notes. But while Narciso is quite heavy and only works in the cold months for me, Oxygene is like a fluffy cloud of freshness that smells wonderful in the heat. It‘s a special fragrance, it performs really good for a summer scent, the price is right - I will get me a bottle soon, this is a no-brainer!

This is the best example I've seen of marketing/advertising that actually does represent the fragrance truthfully. Watch the commercial for this, and you'll see what I mean. The ad, to the eyes, is what Oxygene is to the nose. A work of art - clean, refreshing, urban and yet natural all at once. It reminds me of walking through the streets of New York on a balmy late afternoon. There's something romantic about this scent, even though it's great for everyday wear. I think it would be a wonderful option for a signature, and a not overly common one at that. I wish they were making fragrances more like Oxygene. These days it's all the same, fruity gourmand sugary girly garbage from the big houses. Oxygene is a perfume for a full grown, confident goddess, like Gisele. It's raw and sensual, clean, fresh, and feminine in a big girl kind of way. Love it, and Alberto Morillas is becoming one of my favorite noses! His creations are always quite innovative!

White clouds, blue sky, the milky and billowy layered with peppery cool: this summarizes Lanvin Oxygene. I first learned of this through The Perfume Guy and Dana (A Nose Knows) on a video where "cheapies" were shared. I am happy to see that still (at least for now) it is a cheapie and a rather impressive one at that, smelling more expensive than its discount price tag suggests. With the prolific Alberto Morillas at the helm, Oxygene showcases his acumen for nuance and form. Airy and piquant in its opening, a holographic gardenia fades into perception, feeling present for sure, but ever so obscured by curtains of musk and rose. The feel is more milky and powdery as time progresses, where the gardenia becomes even more dreamy and the pepper fades into a sheer sandalwood accord. Oxygene is more about staring into the sky than navel-gazing. This makes for an uncomplicated, yet satisfying wear.

I'm not going to lie, right when Oxygene sprays out it has an overwhelming aquatic smell to my nose which I was apprehensive about since I was hoping for something more unique. I was not disappointed! After the scent settled, it becomes this beautiful milky warm floral. Absolutely delicious on the skin - I feel like I just took a long luxurious milk and flower petal bath. This is the ultimate relaxing bed time scent! Spray this on and lounge in your coziest silk pajamas! The longevity is terrific even though it sits fairly close to the skin, so you will wake up the next day still smelling this amazing fragrance. Truly a delight to wear! Although I will be using this primarily as a bed time fragrance, I feel it would also be great to wear on a warm day. This is not overpowering at all so it is safe to wear in pretty much any situation. A really great perfume at a bargain price.

There's only one word that I can use to describe this perfume and that's warm. Even though it may be classified as a floral aquatic it actually is not. I would rather say that this is a winter perfume,the one that keeps you warm and cosy and I just can't stop smelling my wrist while I'm reading on my bed or studying. It's almost obsessive, I can't get enough of it. I love that milk and pepper note at the top. It's like it makes you wanna keep getting back for more. I really, truly love this perfume. Edit: I actually think this is an all-year- round perfume. I love the way it transforms in different seasons and temperatures. During cold or cool days is so soft and warm, I can mostly detect the floral vibe, whilst during hot and warm summer or spring time it presents its other nature- the aquatic and cool one that makes me feel as if I am tasting the breeze of the sea.

if they discontinue this it'll be my thirteenth reason. i bought it last month and i've been wearing it almost every day. i bought another bottle and might even get a third, because it really is just goated, and i don't want to ever run out and not be able to get another. seems like it doesn't work for everyone, but it works great on me. aquatics usually aren't that nice on my skin, but this is gorgeous, i think the gardenia and milk notes are helping with that. and the longevity is great for this kind of fragrance and its price at the moment. my partner says it smells like clean laundry, to me it smells like a spa, either way it's lovely. i don't know if they stock this anywhere apart from online anymore, but if somehow you can try it before you buy, i would definitely recommend you do, because it seems to have a slightly different vibe from person to person.

hidden gem. if anyone here is familiar with the moody, gritty photography of the mid-to-late 90s like Romain Slocombe's Tokyo Blue or even Christopher Doyle's cinematography on films like Chungking Express, this perfume captures precisely the essence of that vivid, dreamlike ambience. it has an airy, ephemeral quality that feels both liminal yet pulsing with life, anachronistic, yet futuristic, and somehow successfully embodies the effect of motion blur florals here feel abstract and sort of surreal, like i'm smelling the concept of a flower conjured up by an alien rather than something of the earth. it's this androgynous and distinctly '90s scent profile, where the dissonance between the fresh, spicy, and milky cold facets shouldn't work but does so anyway, that results in a vivid neon-lit wearable atmosphere that is so ethereal

Looking at the ridiculously low price tag I couldn't help but grabbed the largest volume bottle and rushed home and..unlike some of you, I did not detect any sour milk note, in fact there was no sour notes present. I only detected deep woody note of sandalwood mixed with pepper and soft florals. If I didn't look at the olfactive group first, I would have classified it as a woody floral. There is nothing aquatic to me, nothing whatsoever. Oxygene, however, in a way, feels very much like a whiff of a fresh air, it is extremely pleasant fragrance which I consider one of the best choices for summer. I am really surprised how aquatic fragrance turned out to be deep woody to my nose. My number one for summer. Full stop. Lasting power and silage are great. I also like the bottle design. Mr Morillas, I officially adore you :-)

Bought this as a blind buy a whilst back, after doubting it for a long time, due to the divisive opinions, but having read it would be discontinued my curiosity got the better of me. I like it. It's so calm it's almost boring, but if you smell it with more focus it's quite interesting. It is a warm cozy scent that feels like basic care products, like fresh laundry or indeed nivea deodorant. But it's not cloying or overtly musky, it has a bit of a cool freshness to it. More like waking up on a Saturday morning in spring or summer after having slept with the window open and having exciting plans for the day, but no rush. Comfy, cozy, and fresh. It is the same vibe as Noa, but fresher. I understand what someone here meant by it "clearing the air". Guess the name fits, though it seems too grand.

Well thank God it doesn’t smell like a dryer sheet on me LOL! I recently purchased this because of a YouTuber whom I truly trust. His reviews are pretty right on for me. I saw the bottle and I though ugh, it’s going to be really aquatic and that isn’t my thing for notes but I was pleasantly surprised and it turn out to be a floral especiallly the gardenia, Iris and rose listed in the notes. Wow just so pretty for late spring and early summer. It is sweet on me and really an excellent fragrance for the price! It seems like this will last a while on my skin and sillage is excellent. I keep getting whiffs of this as I move around. this would be great for the office and it also leans feminine. It’s a keeper and thank you YouTuber for recommending this. 10/10

I love this for summer as it smells like a breath of fresh air in the mountains on a sunny day. But it is intense. Not overwhelming, but big. If you want a lasting impression and to be noticed by others. The scent is very clean. At the end of the spectrum washing powder exists. And it is welcomed as it adds to the complexity. It does not really smell like its parts but if I concentrate, black pepper is the main star, without the burning sensation. Then milk and gardenia. Softness of rose balances it all out. The musk is sterile. Blue sky is what you think about wearing this. The scent is one of a kind and a must know. Spectacular creation. And it lasts since the morning till the night and even next morning I feel its clean and refteshing scent.

This is such an unusual fragrance. So different from citrus fragrances intended for warm weather wear. I purchased this in the summer but love wearing it in cooler weather too. Light, but at the same time rich. Creamy flowers, with gardenia the most prominent, seem to float above the musky sandalwood base. I'm not a fan of gardenia, often finding it too heavy, but here it is light and delicate. If any fragrance can make me appreciate that note, this is it. I'm not having issues with longevity or silage as others seem to be. A few sprays lasts several hours with soft silage. Best yet, this is a great bang for the buck that smells much more expensive than it is. I'm so happy with this pretty scent. I really, really love it!

Ahhh I love this one it's warm creamy goodness with hints of pepper and flowers.... Oh dear! It's not aquatic at all definitely I would say a unisex frag! Although on my skin it's a luxurious cup of warm milk with a decadent mix of delicate flowers each shine holding their own and the pepper sprinkled on top it's musky and a wee bit woody but over all a fresh twist to it maybe the bergamot balances it. So good so interesting! Definitely refreshing for me considering I'm a gourmand freak but I'm not afraid to change it up! And this is a great change from time to time. Comforting refreshing all in one! Longevity for me is about 8hrs sillage is moderate and wearing it is pure bliss!

Great unisex (if slightly masculine) scent. To my nose, it smells like a hot,clean hotel towel with the scent of hot milk wafting. My only real issues is the gardenia doesn't really stand out and the smell can fade a little fast on me, but I genuinely love it anyways. I see this doing extremely well for formal situations where something light is appropriate (jobs and interviews mostly), but I could also see myself wearing this to meet friends for a afternoon drink. The only situation this would not work is high energy nights with friends. Super affordable dumb reach that could easily pass off as something far more expensive. It's almost Glossier You on a budget....but better.

It’s an absolute love for me, and yep, I grabbed a few bottles when I heard it was being discontinued. Gotta stock up on the good stuff! Wear what you want. No labels needed.

Can you imagine a soft bitter-fresh blow of the wind? Not strong sea or ocean breeze, not clean summer air, not icy fresh like in the winter. But it is a lightly fresh, soft wind you are longing for while being stuck in the metal jungles of the city, the "dry" blow that is hitting your face when you finally go outside. It is a gulp of Oxygen in a megapolis. It covers you like a little cloud, powdery, soft and natural. It is sort of fresh, I would say, urban-fresh (if it makes any sense), not mountain fresh. If you like powdery, creamy and not too sweet perfume, this one is very good. It is unusual, interesting scent, kept in the nice modern/minimalistic bottle.

A lovely older woman came into my job smelling absolutely fantastic! I asked her what she was wearing, and she could only remember ‘Oxygen.” No brand. So I did a quick search and ‘Oxygene’ was the first result! It was super cheap so I bought it for my fiance as the price made it pretty risk free. This is the one and it’s a hit with my fiancé as well! It’s definitely not a youthful scent, not sexy. But it is classy and LOVELY. Very inviting and calming and approachable, but also exudes an air of sophistication. If you can find it for under $20 (which shouldn’t be hard) give it a try if you like more mature scents. This one is a beauty.

First reaction: This is a f'n gem! Super well blended slightly powdery slightly woody fresh floral. Creamy fresh leaning gardenia. Though the scent reminds me a tiny bit of Carolina Herrera 212, it doest have the stuffy office vibe. The surprising combo of powdery florals and freshness is comparable with Tiffany&Co Sheer or even some fragrances from Chloe-house. It does have a slight 2000s feel but it is for sure not dated or old. The price point for this masterpiece is lovely. Also - nobody you know will probably have it or even know about it - very unique scent! I'll edit after I have worn it for few days.

On paper: crisp bergamot, very sharp and piercing On my skin: baby. Like a baby bathed in sugared milk with the tiniest hint of the sandalwood but rather with a very green fresh underlayer. I get none of the flowers, maybe a molecule of gardenia. But this is fantastic and soft The bottle is awkward to hold, sharp edges. The bottom half with the frosted glass is pretty but the cheap plastic top with the loose button is not it. Edit: been wearing this for a few days, and I noticed when I inhaled and breathed out slowly this left my nose with a very distinct bubble bath scent, which I'm not mad about.

I'm not a fan of fresh fragrances, although I do wear them when it's too hot outside. Still, there are some exeptions to the rule and, sometimes , I fall in love with some freshies so deeply I can't wear anything else for weeks. Oxygene is the perfect example of love at first sniff. Flowers, a hint of milk, without being buttery and a handful of pepper, without becoming too spicy. A warm aquatic , I'd say. Reminds me of Poivre Piquant by L'artisan Parfumeur , but smoother and warmer . A truly unique scent at a reasonable price. Longevity is above average, more than 4-5 hours on skin.

Just recieved this, finally pulled the trigger after years of doubting this blind buy considering how people either love it or hate it, seeing how some people say its been discontinued I just had to try before I couldn't. Definitely in the camp of loving this. It does smell like soap, or lotion. Very creamy. Reminds me of a cross between nivea soft lotion and noa. Maybe a bit of dove soap as well? It's amazing. This will definitely be a safe daily wear. Now I'm just worried about it being discontinued. Must not hoard scents fearing they will run out, or not use it bc of that.

This is an interesting scent! If I was asked what it smells like I wouldn't be able to tell- floral/aromatic? Oxygene is fresh, unisex, like a mix flowers with men's deodorant/aftershave? But make it contemporary? There's definitely some lotion-type smoothness there, but I personally wouldn't call it lactonic. I genuinely don't know! But it's intriguing, like an androgynous person who is effortlessly cool no matter what they wear. Very much y2k style, urban, naively futuristic, but today more so nostalgic. Love it! The bottle is so cool too, a little frutiger aero moment

This is such a beautiful clean and fresh perfume. Glad I got the bottle before it disappears from the market. It has great longevity and power. It smells like freshly washed laundry. The opening is very aquatic and citrusy, but later it becomes like cotton ball dipped in the powder and a little bit of citrus to lift it up and keep it fresh. I love it so much. Only one spray on my skin, created a long lasting bubble around me... I feel it through the day in whiffs.... I'm so happy. The name fits it perfectly, together with the colour of the liquid inside ... 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵

This is a really nice subtle skin scent kind of perfume. Soft spicy is the perfect description. The sandalwood is smooth, the florals and citrus are well-blended and indistinguishable, the pepper is not overwhelming but just adds a gentle spice to the soft milkiness. It has a creamy lotion-like quality, similar to A Drop D’Issey (but significantly less floral). This lasts surprisingly well although it does sit pretty close to the skin. I can still smell it on clothes the next day. I really like this and am already planning to add a backup bottle to my collection.

You might expect an aquatic/ozonic fragrance, given the name and dreamy blue bottle, but nope...total pepper/powder/cream. Really lovely. I don't crave this perfume like some of my others, but every time come across it I think, "why don't I wear this more often?" I love how the pepper is very prominent and sticks around a long time, even though it's a top note. The powdery, creamy drydown is really pleasing. I love unisex scents, and while not unisex, Oxygene is not overly feminine. Longevity is good on me, especially considering the light/moderate silage.

This is a very fresh and unique scent. It is not aquatic but it does give off that cleaning product smell in the opening which is okay but the dry down is so worth it because it turns into something so soft after it sits on your skin. I blind bought this with two other fragrances and this is my favorite out of the three of them. I'm planning on buying the 2.5oz bottle because this is a must have for the summer along with D&G light blue and Balenciaga skin.

This is an amazing perfume, not sweet, not arabian spicy, not oceanic. Imagine you had a shower with something like dove original, then you used an very nice and fancy moisturiser that has slightly baby powder smell with flowers, and then sprayed once dolce gabana light blue or Davidoff cool water. It's a very well balanced smell, pleasant to everyone, office appropriate, brunch appropriate, casual date appropriate, nothing offensive and very enjoyable.

oof i absolutely love this fragrance. i'm curious about how this will perform in the spring as i've only been wearing it for a couple months now... but it's just so creamy and soft, i do love scents that have the clean laundry vibe but this is far more complex than that to me. it feels familiar but i can't quite place it... i think that's why i love it so much <3 i'm very happy i purchased this, and for cheap too!!! also the bottle is cool as hell HELLO

Lanvin Oxygene is a brilliant work of art. There aren't enough complimentary words in the English language to describe how magnificent this perfume truly is. Every time I spray the beautiful sky blue mist onto my skin, the creamy dreamy aroma takes me breathlessly to the Milky Way and back. I'm in LOVE with it. I refuse to be without it. I will always shamelessly own more than one bottle in my perfume collection. Now that's addicted, no lol? ;-)

One of my favorite budget gems with a niche character. Oxygene opens with a crisp, almost mineral burst of fresh spice, softened by a lactonic creaminess. Iris brings a dry, powdery coolness, faint green notes keep it from feeling dense and a quick flash of citrus brightens the opening. The whole composition then fades into a soft, musky base.If you like your perfumes quietly intelligent, with a cool herbal spine, this is a sleeper hit.

Clean, fresh, unique yet familiar. Initial spray makes me think of summer and water. More mature than most summery clean fragrances, it's not sweet or shampoo-y at all. There's a distinct creaminess to it even though it's subtle, and that balances out the floral aspect nicely. The faint woodiness keeps it from being too floral. Totally unique, unlike anything else on my shelf. Instantly fell in love, can't believe how cheap this is.

Just tested it and this is my first impression: I am positively surprised it is quite strong, It is clean scent, bright, soapy bubbly scent not sweet at all, I feel like I smell purple flowers. Smells like clean laundry but on steroids, not as subtle as clean laundry would be. Reminds me of sunny spring. I don't smell any milk or citrus here. It's very nice, I like it. This is what I imagine "FRUTIGER AERO" smells like :)

It seems simple but I can't get enough of it. I got hooked on it at a drugstore, taking into account small price it got me even more surprised at what I got (something sophisticated). It's fresh, but not like detergent, more like baby soap, nothing sharp or spicy, but has a character. It's light and airy but intense and feminine. I'm not a fan of a bottle though, in my opinion doesn't correspond with a scent too well.

Love this, I’ve been looking for something similar to my go-to as a teen in the 80s, Love’s Rain Scent, and this is it. Very fresh, clean, spa-like, decent projection, especially on clothing. My teen niece complemented me, saying “you smell really, really nice”. This is an ageless and timeless fragrance, and extremely affordable. I don't think there’s another fresh fragrance out there that’s this nice.

An airy & dry take on a spicy lactonic scent. The milk, gardenia, and white pepper notes are the strongest at the offset, and surprisingly lingers as it pares down to its musky sandalwood base. Perfect all year round, but truly shines in warmer weather. Good sillage, no more than arms length even if you overspray. Lasts for 6-8 hrs, lingers beautifully on the skin. Definitely recommend.

This is such a gem of a fragrance. There is something both incredibly naive and ancient about it at the same time. It opens with these capricious irises and dries down to a cloud of powder surrounding you. If only it could last longer. Skin projection. Very affordable. My nose gets used to it quickly so I alternate scents.

I have both versions of Oxygene and use them often in the spring/summer. They each smell fantastic on their own, but I use a couple sprays of the female version on my skin and a couple sprays of the male version on my clothes. To me the layering of the two smells out of this world. Both versions are a must in a collection.

a very successful blind buy :) a pleasant breezy and soft fresh laundry scent with a cozy frothy drydown. i find this incredibly difficult to hate and somewhat nostalgic, its safe for sensitive noses and i think it will work wonders in the california heat. reminds me of a bright blue sky dotted with fluffy clouds

As Lenniecha said; ivory soap on steroids, and as another commenter said, sinus-clearing astringency and sharpness. This is like a laundry detergent you’ll only ever find in a mexican grocery store, perhaps in powder form, but for some reason it smells like the weird futuristic hope we had back in the 2000s.
