Argentium Halo de Lune

Really beautiful fragrance, last quite a long time on skin (more than the 9 hours at the office), even more on clothes, projection is very moderate quite on the restrained side. I over spray it since it smells so nice. Made it to my top 3 fragrances this autumn & winter.

Sandalwood, cardamom, orange and some vanilla with a soft musky, vanillic and sandalwood dry down. Beautiful! I also want to add that it is extremely long lasting. Talking 12 hours+ Close to a mix of Costume National meets Fougere d'argent QUIte amazing dry down

Argentium was launched in 2017 and is part of The Mémoire Collection, which brings together fragrances that portray the motionless journeys, the olfactory travels, and their unlimited sensations. The product's full name is Argentium Halo de Lune, whose surname means, in English, Moon Halo. The creative concept speaks about the silver of the hair, the lived experience, the return to the roots. Here, we have Maître de Claude's portrait under the silvery glow of the moon towards the shores of his French land. The Argentium's fragrance was created by perfumer Julien Rasquinet, who has already given life to successful fragrances for brands such as Amouage, Histoires de Parfums, Masque Milano, etc. It brings head notes of orange, cardamom, and Artemisia, followed by notes of nutmeg, saffron, and OUD, in the heart, while the base carries notes of musk, sandalwood, and amber woods. Argentium is a woody fragrance with spicy nuances. As soon as it hits the skin, it brings a dry effect and an accord that makes me think of suede. And despite Artemisia's presence, there's nothing too bitter or too herbal. Likewise, the orange does not bring great citrus appeal, nor juicy. Here, cardamom sets the rules. Before long, the wooden heart proves to be softer and more alive than ever. Argentium’s nutmeg imparts drier nuances than those we usually feel in more mass-market-oriented fragrances, while the OUD note employs luxury, denser facets, and a lot of woody content. At this stage, the red saffron emerges and reveals its leathery nuances and explains to me, without using words, why I had smelled suede back there. Although the evolution is subtle, the drying of Argentium Halo de Lune ends up revealing a creamy fragrance, when sandalwood kicks in and personifies the softer side of the moon, leaving behind the hardness of the woods. Engaging and full of confidence, Argentium is unisex, however, I feel greater identification with the male audience, at least in the Brazilian market. It has excellent performance and is one of the most beautiful bottles in the L’Arc Parfums collection. By the way, it is worth mentioning that L’Arc Parfums bottles were created by the French design company ANHA, which has already been involved in projects for brands such as By Kilian, Histoires de Parfums, and Diesel.

This fragrance is warm, fresh, spicy/woody. Really classy dry down : orange, toned down oud, amberwood and spices. I like it. A little similar to Oud Malaki from Chopard.

Candied orange peel, musk, spice, oud, nutmeg, all in harmony. Very well balanced; rich without being heavy. Perfect for autumn.

I really enjoy this, it is absolutely delightful. Almost identical to Montale's Oud Dream which was just released last year (2019). Perhaps this was his inspiration, even though he's known for that sweet and creamy, earthen oud combom in so many of his scents. The ingredients in this smell of high quality, it is well blended, projects fairly well, and has been settling nicely on my skin. I get a soft woodsy, oud, floral, mild spiciness, and a soft muskiness. granted i've only had this on for a couple hours. I'm sure more will be revealed.
