Kulfi

If you love cardamom, saffron, kulfi, rasmalai, kheer, and just about any other Indian dessert, and you long to smother it all over your body and walk out the door wearing it, you need to try this. It's creamy, sweetened just right, and loaded with cardamom. There are no fruits, florals, woods, or anything else to distract you from the very literal smell of kulfi. There is no citrus, no abstract interpretations of kulfi, nor must you wait patiently for the perfume to develop before you detect kulfi. It is kulfi the moment it hits your skin. It contains a note of coconut, which seems odd because personally I have never heard of kulfi with coconut (does it exist?), but in any case, it actually works really nicely to provide creaminess and nuttiness. The scent of kulfi is so realistic that coconut does not stand out...until the drydown, 60 minutes later, when the kulfi evaporates and only coconut + vanilla remain. The drydown is Pepperidge Farm coconut cake. I wanted kulfi from start to finish. But the quality of the kulfi scent is so incredibly perfect and real that I highly recommend this perfume anyway. And if a coconut cake drydown still sounds delicious to you, then you will absolutely fall for this. It is only at the end of the perfume, at the point where it is almost gone, that I smell sandalwood. Hands-down the most delicious, most literal gourmand I have ever smelled in my entire life. Keep the bottle away from your kids, as they may drink it. Kulfi is not cloying, yet sillage is fairly strong for the first hour or two until it becomes quieter, so I would not recommend spraying liberally. Longevity is a solid 8+ hours on my skin. I love Indian deserts possibly more than any other sweet. With this perfume, you can truly indulge. It's like being in Delhi, but you don't have to worry you will get the "Delhi Belly". 137 I’m not into gourmands, but this is one I LOVE. It does smell like an Indian dessert. The cardamom is strong and beautiful while balanced with a creamy milky deliciously sweet vanilla with a tiny touch of coconut. I sprayed generously on my shirt and it lasted about 1.5-2 hours. It is very well executed, blended and worthwhile even with a shorter longevity. If you love cardamom, this one sings beautifully. As a bonus, it has no musk that I can smell and based on notes, which IMHO is overused in perfume. This has been the most realistic Indian dessert I have found in sampling among other gourmands similar in theme. Although initially I thought of this as a cold weather scent due to the sweet vanilla, it may last longer and project better in warmer weather and also the cardamom’s lemony side would shine through in warm weather. I have half a bottle left and enjoying it. Also excellent for sweet cravings. 9/10

This perfume makes me feral and hungry. The spices greet you right off the bat but hang around throughout the coconut and vanilla body. There is something slightly floral in there, which I would imagine is the saffron. I may be hallucinating this because it seems like a perfume fitting for these notes, but the coconut/saffron reads like pistachios and roses to me at times. It's a very realistic coconut; milky-fruity-slightly-woody goodness. The sillage grows stronger the longer it stays on your skin but the scent itself doesn't change much between bottle, paper, and skin. I only have a shitty little sample sprayer so I can imagine it's even better when properly atomized. When the time comes, this will be the first full size bottle I buy!!!

Whenever I try a fragrance that lists cardamom as a note I am disappointed. I want to smell real cardamom pods, that unmistakable spicy sharpness with the creamy, meditative fizz of making chai from scratch. This perfume has that realism and it is utterly beautiful. It opens with 100% cardamom pods but soon after the coconut cream shows up along with a smidge of vanilla and a barely-there tinge of saffron threads. This is is a masterpiece. I only wish I had discovered it sooner.

Amazing fragrance and a spectacular shopping experience - the bottle is simplistic but the packaging was very creative; u can tell they take pride in their product from the actual fragrance to the end perception of the product. The experience was above expectations- even the handwritten thank u was top notch. The fragrance is a gourmand lovers treat- like a creamy vanilla yum yum with spice- nice addition to my frags. Yummmmmy.

I blind bought this perfume with the body lotion and perfume oil from Laromatica after seeing a you tube review on it. I love this scent!!! Cardamom, vanilla, hint of sandalwood shows up on my skin but no coconut. It lasts all day and projects at least 6 feet leaving a strong trail. It is not overpowering but it is strong. This smells like a delicious Indian dessert I used to eat. I highly recommend trying this perfume.

probably the only true gourmand you'll ever catch me in- creamy and coconuty (not a hint of sunscreen) with just enough clean spiciness to keep it fresh. works well with the tropical palette of most black girl hair products, lol.

Kulfi is exactly as advertised. A creamy, cardamom, vanilla fragrance that smells just like the Indian dessert. Comforting and fun to wear. You won’t be able to stop sniffing your wrists. Yum!

I decided to get a sample of this one on a whim. I didn't have the highest of hopes that I'd like this because even though I love all of the notes listed, we all know how it doesn't always work out and we are left disappointed despite the amazing notes... Needless to say, I was absolutely blown away by how amazing this smells. It's such a delightfully rich, creamy and aromatic experience. It's sweeter upon initial spray than in the dry down for me, and it's beautiful for the entire life of its wear. For me, it lasts on my skin for at least a few hours and I am happy with that since it's an eau de toilette concentration. This is a masterpiece IMO, however, those who have commented before me are absolutely right that you need to love cardamom in order to like this. I'm surprised that this fragrance only has 47 votes and not many people seem to be aware of it. I guess this will be our little secret ;)

I purchased a sample of Kulfi from Ministry of Scent a few weeks ago. I purchased a full bottle today, if that’s any indication of how much I liked this perfume. What a fun scent!! It’s sweet, full-bodied, and spicy all at once. Smells like what eating kulfi feels like. I didn’t expect to like the scent on myself, but once I tried it, I was hooked. I have a soft spot for dessert scents that are multi-dimensional and aren’t cloying. I’ve been pairing this with by rosie’s Dulce and Outremer’s Vanille to create the ultimate “walking-into-a-bakery” scent. The cardamom and saffron don’t overpower the vanilla, but if you’re expecting a simpler, more layerable vanilla scent, I’d either only invest in a sample or pass on Kulfi. Like many other reviewers have said, it smells a LOT like its namesake. If you’re curious, definitely try it out!

I have never actually tried kulfi, but this perfume smells like a cardamom-spiced, creamy treat as the name suggests. It is very lactonic, sweet, and cozy without being nauseating, which I appreciate. It smells just like a Swedish cardamom roll but without a yeasty note and a more prominent vanilla one. It's easy to like and a delicious cold-weather sweater scent. I think folks who are fans of vanilla perfumes like Tihota's Indult and any Kerosene perfume might find this up their alley. The performance is surprisingly good, as it lasted on my wrist and neck for a good six hours with a lingering vanilla-sandalwood drydown.

I don't know how they did it but this smells exactly like Kulfi. You've gotta have a thing for cardamom to enjoy love this one. This fragrance smells delicious and is a gourmand lover's dream. Lots of cardamom supported by creamy milky custard. Sillage is intimate, but my hubby smelled me from a metre away. Longevity on my wrist is just a few delightful hours. Smells yummy. Definitely worth sampling. I really want to sample everything from this house now. -

Just received my bottle, and this is the first fragrance that I've come by where cardamom is the true star! Bright loud and clear cardamom note harmoniously supported by vanilla, sandalwood, coconut and spices. Not nearly as sweet as your average kulfi, but just as creamy and delightfully fragrant. I am very much enjoying this fragrance, especially layered with Comptoir Sud Pacifique's Vanille Extreme EDT. Yumm!! Recommend to all cardamom lovers. :)

Such a pretty cardamom coconut perfume sweetened by the vanilla. As it dries you get more of the sweet milky coconut scent and the spicy cardamom fades. I am usually not a fan of coconut fragrances but I think the cardamom gave it that edge which prevented it from being nauseating. I will be reaching for this as winter approaches since it's so cozy.

ELLLLIIICHIII!!! FABULOUS GREEN CARDAMOM NOTE!!! i love a strong cardamom note, so this kicked off beautifully. after the cardamom began to wear off, i was left with a sweet, slightly fluffy coconut-vanilla. yummy!! so pretty!! i will definitely be upgrading to a full bottle for the winter. :)

Very comforting scent. Longevity is not great so I tend to wear before bed. Accurate to what it intends to portray. I also tried the various other Kulfi "flavors" she offers - all pleasant, too. You will know ahead of time whether or not this type of linear gourmand is for you.

On my wife this smells like Kulfi. On me, it smells like coconut cake with vanilla frosting, with a hint of cardamom maybe. It smells nice either way but not amazing.

I have been wearing Kulfi and Kulfi Almond for years now. The sweet cardamom and coconut/vanilla cream is intoxicating...Kulfi Almond also has an almond extract added, which is my favorite.. My UPS delivery man just told me that he loves delivering to me because I always smell so delicious...if I was 10 years younger ..😁 I get compliments everywhere I go wearing this, which is my signature scent. The price is great for such a wonderful scent. If it's sold out at Ministry of Scent, which it is right now, go straight to the L'AROMATICA website...sometimes you get discounts. AND you can only get Kulfi Almond at L'AROMATICA far as I know. They also have a few floral Kulfi offerings, again, only at the website.

Holy sh*t, this is so delicious. At first that cardamom is SO strong, I got a craving for Nisu bread. It gets creamier, and smells like a key pistachio pie (instead of lime). You won't find Tom Ford's Noir Pour Femme here, but if you want to try a gourmand kulfi- this is highly recommended. In the Devotion family. (I'm left with NO spice after 4-6 hours) Misted over a chunky sweater- good sillage. COULD BE stronger. I'd say a 6/7 in longevity/sillage.

I ordered a sample of Kulfi last year because I was looking for fragrances that smelled similar to Tom Ford’s Noir Pour Femme. This is definitely in the same category. It’s a more photorealistic gourmand, whereas Noir Pour Femme, although also creamy and decadent, had a more perfume-y elegance. Kulfi is rich, spiced and decadent. I can tell I would tire of it quickly so it’s not for me personally, but it’s a very well-done fragrance.

I did not like this at all. I am not the target demographic for this though. Pretty sure I'm not a fan of cardamom.. now i know. If you do like cardamom you'd probably love this but it was not nearly sweet enough for me.

Half of all perfumes smell of play-doh on me eventually, including this. I bought it because it was a local perfumer and within my budget at the time, but I just don't ever wear it.

This is a very pretty blend. Custardy rice pudding with very vibrant spices. This really does smell like kulfi and is totally wearable. The cardamom is very realistic!
