Yellow Rose

This fragrance is yummy. Not a word I would normally use on a fragrance (since I dislike most fruity gourmands) but I can't think of anything more accurate. I cannot pick out the individual notes at all; it reminds me of a candy, but not too sweet. I might possibly really like, even love this, if not for my deep disappointment based on the name. On me, there is simply NO rose here, yellow or otherwise, and I bought my sample specifically looking for a rose-but-not-too-rosey scent. 11/30/2020 Editing because I realize how very much I like this scent. I used up my first sample and am working through a second and I never get much rose, just a hint - like a dash of rosewater in a recipe for lemon sweets. It's not what I was looking for, but it's a love anyway. The only flaw is that when I spray it too heavily it gets a bit sharp. If I didn't already have more perfume than I can use in several lifetimes, I would definitely get a full bottle of this one.

Love it! I ordered the large rollerball. My sample is the spray, and I'm interested to see if they perform similarly. Cheerful and happy, but not saccharine. I get the notes listed by others, but my overall general impression of the accord they form is a like the name - a yellow rose. Maybe a little peach rose going on, too. Creamy and with a bit of that spiciness that those roses can sometimes have. A little bit of the woody stem. The citrus can lean forward a bit, depending on the moment. Definitely a mood lift, I can see reaching for it often when I want an encouraging smile from my perfume. I agree with the reviewer below who evoked color - I get definite yellow/orange, in a good way. Like vitamin C for your mood. But not aromatherapy- definitely reads as perfume. Snaps and applause, a keeper for me.

I sampled this as part of the traveling boxes on the forums, and it stood out as a really lovely, straightforward citrus vanilla. Trying the 5ml roll-on in cooler weather and I’m getting more of the super realistic lemon peel, sweet vanilla and a slightly herbal smell reminiscent of lemongrass or lavender. I’m tempted to compare it to sweets because it’s so delectable, but it’s really more abstract and powdery which I like. Stands well on its own, but also layers well with other vanilla/citrus spray scents (my favorites are Shalimar, Ambre Precieux and Ennui-Noir).

Absolutely delightful....fresh but warm. Beautiful lemon note. Simple fragrance but done very well. Notes are blended very well, nothing is overpowering but on my skin I get almost a lemon dessert without being too sweet. Maybe like a tart. Just enough vanilla and lemon to make it semi gourmand without going full "food" because of the rose and woods. So glad I decided to try this. I can see myself buying this again.

Not a rose in the conventional way, more of an artistic representation. Sunny, warm, citrus floral. The best of this line. Really beautiful and I love it.

Yellow Rose is a fun perfume. I primarily see this as a summer perfume. As summer staple in fact and one I would reach for a lot during that time. I bought the perfume oil and a mini sample spray, but I can see buying a full bottle of the spray perfume as well. Yellow rose is a happy lemon candy treat or a lemonade that you enjoy on a hot summer day. As the perfume goes a long you get a faint whiff of a yellow rose bush nearby but this perfume isn't like sticking your nose directly into the roses, the breeze happens to blow some of their perfume in your direction and it is mingling w/ your sweet lemonade, you get a sense that a small wood is nearby as well. This is a country girl perfume. Super casual, girl next door perfume. Easy going, sweet but not gourmand, pretty w/out trying too hard. The rose comes in stronger as it develops and this rose has lemon, peach, and vanillic nuances. A little powdery, a little sweet but rose all the same. I really like this. I don't think it smells like my Grandmother's yellow roses but it is still a fun perfume that I would reach for a lot in casual situations. Something to wear around others who are not major perfume lovers, which would come in handy for me because I hang out w/ many people who are not really perfume people. But they like naturals. Cute, girly, fun, casual, down to earth.

I remember really enjoying this, and smelling significant amounts of rose. Not powdery or soapy rose, but rich flowery rose (helped by the vanilla, I'm sure).
