Histoire d'Orangers Extrême

im going CRAZY clawing up the wall for this. the opening orange blossom is beautiful, an orchard in spring full bloom - as i sprayed some on my shawl (hehehe) i got a tange of coconut as well. its creamy, and midway a bit nutty even. i am really very pleased was looking for a less heavy smokey and i think i found one!!!!!!

My first impressions are not that good. I was hyper excited about this, and it's what probably made me feel disappointed. The scent turned into a much more masculine direction, with an unexpected overdose of woodines that will make you remember Bois Farine or the more recent Il Etait Un Bois. I feel like they used the same core or one or more accords of it. The first minute is 95% similar to the Original, but then it turns completely white woody. I don't smell any pepper, a very small touch of incense in the middle of its development, but then it's all about clean woods, like you're in a forest, with a very shy presence of a green and more pungenr neroli compared to the creamy and bright orange flower of the OG. I feel like they boosted the performance quite a lot, but if you love the OG like i do, this might disappoint you. Not because it's bad, it's a very nice fragrance, but it smells different from the OG. Might give it some other tries, trying to wear it as a stand alone / not a remix scent.

I smell ripe mandarins similar to Mandarina Corsica, smooth ambery cedar like in Legends de Cedar and a bit of the powdery sweet/spice found in Bana Banana. The relationship I see to the original Histoire d’Orangers is that it might be the same orchard, but opposites almost- later in the year, the autumn season, with spiced simmering juices and warm citrus scones. Rather than the springtime blossoms you get the ripe fruit and dark branches, coziness and something edible, sunset time or after dark under the moon.

Adore this. European summer in a bottle. Smells like you’re sitting under an orange tree, drinking champagne, and reading a novel - there is also faint laughter in the background. Reminds me of the honeymoon phase in a relationship. Sweet, joyous, and warm. It’s also quite strong and intense. Could be a little headache inducing to some.

@Max: Because it's not Orange, it's Orangers. It's Orange Trees! if you ever walk under an "Oranger" it doesn't smell "Orange", it smells orange flower, which is what this fragrance is all about. Histories of Orange Trees, not Histories of Oranges. They are completely different scents.
