Mirabilis 60

Little fluffy clouds in vanilla skies.... A musk and sweet vanilla powder perfume that sometimes turns custardy on me; reminiscent of rice pudding. There is just a little bit of church incense and earthiness to keep it grounded in this mortal realm in the composition. Luckily, I dont find the ambroxan overdone like another review states. However, I'm also confused at the fact this should have woods in it. I dont really detect that. It's smooth and soft, the notes blended with no hard edges, with moderate sillage and longevity. Overall, a very easy to wear scent that's cosy and pretty in an understated way.

A very beautiful and calming musk/incense fragrance. Very similar to Bois D'argent, but they are different in that I don't think Mirabilis has iris. You usually don't see incense fragrances evoking the 'your skin but better' vibe, but it's done here and it's done exceedingly well. This just melts in your skin, but gives just enough projection that it will garner interest and intrigue from the people around you.

I absolutely love this scent〜 it truly evokes a mysterious, mystical, yet comforting atmosphere. However, I feel its projection, longevity, and sillage are very poor for me... Is this normal for a fragrance that is said to be very concentrated and from the elevated line of the brand? If anyone has any tips to make it last or enhance its sillage, I'm all ears, please!

This is another hit from L'Artisan's new line. Mirabilis has a musky, velvety dry down. The notes are blended very well and the composition smoothly transitions throughout the wear. The projection is moderate and longevity is 4-5 hours. Update: deep in the dry down, it kinda reminds me of Bois D'argent a little bit.

برای من این عطر اوج هنر عطرسازی است. هیچ عطری به این کیفیت ندیده ام درحالیکه هیچکدام نت های اصلی این عطر خاصه مشک و نت های چوبی جزو نت های موردپسند من نبوده و نیست. اما مگه میشه دافنه بوگی بانوی بزرگوار ما چیزی جز شاهکار بسازد؟

I just got a bottle after almost 3 years of smelling this one, and I can literally say it's one of my favorites form artisan parfumeur collection after L'eau d'ambre extreme. it smells very unique.

A soft, calming incense-laced vanilla with a musky base. A good choice for those who want their vanilla airy rather than sweet or sticky. For some reason, it constantly reminds me of a lightly vanilla-tinged L’Orpheline; that association comes to mind every time I smell it. Despite the vanilla, the mood is melancholic and slightly grey. I still can’t quite place why it belongs to the La Botanique line. The incense here isn’t raw olibanum resin; it feels more like a faint veil of incense smoke. Yet it stands apart from most incense-vanilla fragrances; distinct, restrained, and quietly atmospheric. 60 Mirabilis is a sweet musky amber fragrance. I didn't think that musk, amber and woody notes would smell very appealing alongside one another but L'Artisan Parfumeur has pulled it off. The ambroxan coupled with a subtle earthy sweetness creates an almost sensual lover's-skin type scent. There is a harsher frankincense note that pushes through in the dry down to maintain the amber-resin aspect, but balanced with the soft wood and sweet vanilla musk it somehow works. This scent feels very homely, sensual and comforting. I can see it being a part of someone's regular rotation during colder months or for night events.

Remember Amour by Kenzo ? Mirabilis has something in common with it (the vanilla / incense marriage), but it is darker. It's a blackened Amour. The honey has been replaced by amber nuances, that are enriched by the scent of your skin. It evokes a sweet-dry, heavenly-earthly love. The incense is a key ingredient, you might either enjoy or dislike it for its harshness and, if you are a Roman Catholic, the seriousness of its ecclesiastical spirit. Beware that the sillage of this perfume is moderate. More than two whiffs are needed.

nice musky sweetness. i don't get smokiness or a strong incense smell or even much wood (or at least not what i would typically think of in a wood smell). Similar to Tenebrae from this line, the sillage is very low - even when i put a lot on and put my nose right up to my skin it's very faint even less than 15 minutes after applying. It seems like there is a pattern with the Natura Fabularis fragrances.

Suprisingly quite animalic and musky. if you want to smell like a vanilla rice pudding monster thats risen from some graveyard dirt, this is the one! it's not terribly strong however people could smell it when i walked into a room and i could still smell it myself when i woke up the next morning. longevity: 10/10 Originality: 8/10 Quality: 10/10 Affordability: 4/10

This is a really beautiful creamy vanilla musk. Gorgeous, sweet (but not gourmand) and musky. I think the notes provided here are somewhat deceptive, as the woody, earthy and olibanum notes are minor supporting notes to vanilla and musk. This reminds me a little of Sarah Horowitz's Perfect Veil, but slightly fuller and more lush.

This is such a beautiful, comforting, soft scent. I wore this with a cashmere sweater and the scent lingered until the next time I wore that sweater and I couldn't stop sniffing myself! 🥰 Definitely think this is worth talking a place in my "if I can only keep 10" list.

This smells a lot like Gypsy Water to me. It has a clean musky scent lasts about 6-7hrs on me. Probably won’t purchase it again but I’ll keep this bottle and we’ll see.

It is a musky amber fragrance with a touch of incense, perfect for fall and winter. Cocooning, warm... I cannot smell ambroxan or bois d'argent, strange! 7/10

Warm comforting musky vanilla. A nicely blended mix between clean and sexy. Unfortunately longevity and sillage were very poor for me.

Fragrant, sweet, earthy musk. Synthetic overtone. Weird mix. Doesn’t smell bad.

Mirabilis 60 straddles the middle of the road for me, so my vote is neutral. I get a little bit of a ho-hum feeling from this scent profile. Like most perfumes, there’s a mix of natural and synthetic smelling notes in Mirabilis 60. The overall scent reminds me of a mountain chalet spa—with a smooth vanilla, woody notes and incense. I pick up some herbal notes too—most of this is not listed. The problem note, once again with my chemistry, is the overuse of ambroxan in the industry. I probably would’ve liked this scent more if it was left out or turned down. I think perfumers like adding it because it gives the base some longevity, though I’d much prefer a shorter, more natural development.

Opens up quite nice and fluffy with vanilla contrasted by a peppery elemi note with an ethereal salty ambroxan vibe. Soon a bitter medicinal clove note cuts through with a some earthy notes. Overall a slightly bitter peppery vanilla amber, if that sounds good to you, then you will love this one. Edit: check out Biehl mb03, a peppery vanilla mixed with incense, similar to this one yet much richer, finer, higher quality, and considerable more affordable. Another alternative is Diptyque Eau Duelle EDT, which I find more complex, spicy and interesting.

Unique in my large unisex collection. Sweet, airy, mineralized white musk. Sweet summer earth next to a stoney creek. As it wears it turns sweeter on my skin and then after a couple hours it's sweeter than I like. I also wish it was smoother. Nice, but not for me. Review of full bottle blind-buy. Decluttered.

It’s nice, but if I didn’t know better, I would've guessed this had a note of iris or heliotrope in it somewhere. It’s very powdery and soft to me rather than woody and incensy. I was hoping for a stronger, smokier wood but this isn’t it. It’s clean and pleasant, but not noteworthy.

Smells exactly like any medicine that uses montmorillonite with 0 difference. Don’t know why smelling like a diarrhea medicine is something anyone wants. Daphne Bugey is ruining this brand single handily dragging the quality down

I have a soft spot for the house of L'Artisan Parfumeur. Over the years I have added fifteen of their fragrances to my collection, so you could say that I am one of their biggest fans. I was so excited when L'Artisan Parfumeur announced the release of the Natura Fabularis range. Mirabilis 60 was one fragrance from this line that I was super keen to try. I adore resinous, oriental woody scents, especially in the Winter. I picked out the perfect chilly Winter's day to test this much-anticipated fragrance. Unfortunately, although very pretty, Mirabilis 60 doesn't quite have the boldness that I was hoping for. It struggles to cut through the crisp, wintry air. Mirabilis 60 is a soft blend of white musk, amber, olibanum and velvety woods. Supposedly it took sixty attempts to compose this scent to a standard that the perfumer Daphne Bugey was happy with. Daphne Bugey is also the nose behind DSQUARED2 She Wood, a scent of which I find shares some similarities to Mirabilis 60. Although the longevity is quite impressive, lasting a decent six hours on my rather dry skin, the projection was very weak. Mirabilis 60 is a soft, intimate skin scent for the most part. During the cooler months, I like to wear heavy fragrances. If Mirabilis 60 had a stronger projection on my skin, it may have appealed to me more.

It's a molecular-type fragrance, which often means ambiguity is intentional, but I get the biggest similarity to something like L'Orpheline, which is mostly musk and incense. From what I've read online, this hinges on the musk Vulcanolide, which has been around for at least a decade. Overall this is slightly humid, earthy, and subtly sweet, which makes me think of a dull vanilla or less bitter cocoa powder. Next to it is an incense note that lends a resinous, clean-feeling, sharp-woody body, but not much else. I struggle with these kinds of things because they feel very grey and lifeless, like a corporate board room with a large lacquered table that's just been wiped down. In passing I think it could be interesting, but it's essentially like the other woody-vanillas suggested above, with most of their more interesting things taken out. The earth note is kinda cool though. It's something that could grow on me but I would need to buy a bottle and actually wear it a few times to figure out how I feel. I don't think it's something many people would say is inviting or pleasing though, more like clinical and abstract, with just enough sweet woodiness to be inoffensive.

I received a sample of this from LuckyScent, and in the vial is a brilliant, almost neon light blue juice. I have never associated that color with musky, woodsy scents so I remember when I first tested it, I got on Fragrantica immediately to make sure I didn't have a mislabeled sample. It's true, though- despite its sky-blue vibrancy, this is a woody, sweet musk. It's not a complicated scent by any means, but if you want a straightforward musk, this may be the answer. Its sweetness is reminiscent of Musc Nomade to me. I won't be rushing out to buy a bottle, but it is a nice scent.

to my nose this is just an ambroxan bomb... i don't get any other notes at all update: i tried to wear it again the next day and got to pick out some notes, but the fragrance as a whole is very strange.. starts off as a sort of thick vanilla cashmere musk but then immediately dries down into a weird synthetic musk/ambroxan/earthy bomb. i get zero olibanum out of the whole thing. i don't hate it but i definitely don't love it, smelling up close can make you cringe but from the surface of skin it's bearable. just a weird mix of notes i think

Was looking forward to trying this, and the tester today was DRAINED, so after a few dozen pumps (at least 30, I would say), I was glad to get 'enough' onto my right elbow nook to get a decent whiff of it. It is indeed uber musky, and quite artificial / chemical-ey (not that this is a bad thing) and I could see how this would appeal to certain people, but not me. It leans towards the synth-iris (a little), but for me and mine, it doesn't do enough. I do like it, no question, but not enough...

I had this in a sample and I'm glad I gave it a try. I would say out of the rest in the collection this seems pretty linear and simple yet it delivers well. I don't get Eau duelle on myself (they are not even relate imo) I like the drydown, it's a beautiful natural smelling frankincense, reminds me the middle eastern markets with the smoke of the incense resin fleeting through and the quite sanctity of a church at the same time with a touch of creaminess in the mix.

This blue juice is twisting my mind nostril perception. Something aquatic in there? Or am I just associating? Something masculine, and citrussy, but again it may just be that it's blue. It is a little earthy, and a little chemical. Not really musky or ambery to me. I'm trying to tune out this blue juice, aquatic and masculine associations, but I still only get an earthy, zesty, chemical mess. Not for me.

Oof. A smooth creamy vanilla absolutely smothered in ambroxan. It’s like two layers in an sandwich with one sitting on top of the other - they don’t mix. Nauseatingly metallic and salty. One thing to note: I’m very sensitive to ambroxan. If you like ambroxan, you might actually enjoy this fragrance, in which case, carry on!

A pleasant musk with no particular edges to it, projection is low, and it is rather artificial. This isn't what I was looking for given the promise of woods, so try before buying. I recognise the ingredients from La Panthere, but without the floral notes. I'll try again in winter, but I might pass on this x

This is sort of what I hoped L'Orpheline would have smelled like. I like this a lot. Spicy, powdery, musky dry down. Im smelling orris and cinnamon as well. Not sure I'd spend the money for this one it's too expensive for what it is - for me in my opinion. Still really good.

Off the bat smells like a bois d'argent relative then goes off quickly into sweet musk realm. Lovers skin, caramels, cozy.
