Cuir Velouté

As things settle, we move into a more ambery direction. There are lovely touches of florals and musk and a chypre-like mossiness. I particular enjoy a near-gourmand candied quality that gently floats in and out, settling into a powdery patina. Perfumer Maud Chabanis has created a leather scent that perfectly marries masculine and feminine elements. It's neither beastly and animalic nor is it overly floral and sweet, lingering gently on the skin. A great choice for those who like their leather a little more subtle. I can imagine wearing this on a date night or dinner party. The scent is housed in a stunning ombre fluted glass bottle with an art deco vibe and the black velvet box with a gold plate immediately conveys the chic olfactory experience within.

Cuir Velouté is a beautiful creation with the leather as a main note, but surrounded by a lot of different notes that gives to the fragrance a different settle down. It’s not dark or strong, it’s fresh, and sweet, this perfume is easily wearable, ... addictive. It lasts for long, and has a strong sillage. At the first sight, could seem a man fragrance, but it is definitely unisex, it has the perfect balance to be adored by both sex. It’s worth to give it a try!

This house is new to me but I am truly impressed with their Cuir Veloute. I am not a huge fan of smoky Leather perfumes but this one is wonderfully balanced and mixed to perfection. It is sublime, sophisticated and really captivating. I can only highly recommend this gorgeous fragrance.
