Exquise Tentation

Bought it in early winter, and it unkowingly fit perfectly for the season. At first i was horrified by the scent and thought it was a total disaster - just super flowery, in the worst of grandma smell ways! Then when it dried down and about an hour passed, suddenly it had become this delicious, deep, warm, vanilla scent. Really a lovely gourmand for the wintery half of the year. So sweet and warm, like a cup of hot cocoa, but vanilla instead of chocolate. Love it!

Ooh I do like this one - it is sweet, pretty, comforting and just gently lovely in the dry down. Slightly perplexingly, my teenage daughter said it smelled like carrier bags (..?... and they smell like what exactly...?... ), but that aside, if you are looking for a cheaper close dupe, this is very close to And's 'Mad' and I absolutely adore that one too! If you are a fan of good, non linear vanilla then you can definitely do worse than sample this one. :)

This fragrance was a love at first spray. A deep dive into all the nuances of sweetness: almond, vanilla, caramelized sugar. Absolutly delicious and sensual.

I quite like this. I definitely get the vanilla and the praline. It's not groundbreaking and I don't think I could justify buying it because I have other scents in my collection that serve the same purpose, but if you're looking for a pleasant, inoffensive gourmand that will have you smelling totally delicious, this is a great option.

For sweet lovers! More for cold days. Sensual praline, vanilla, almond with a touch of patchouli. More rich of "La vie est belle" but same vibe. Not so original but very good quality and price! A niche version of sweet praline design perfumes.

Very lovely fragrance, I find it very feminine leaning sweet and long lasting. I feel like the beauty is more in the dry down.

It was alright, but id had leaked a little bit in the packaging and the box was left on my desk. After a while (and for days) it smelled like hairdye at my desk. I do likd of like that smell, but in the same way you like the smell when a motorcycle rides past. On the skin its what others say, opens very grandma and then dires down as something else, but for a little distance it just smelled like ammonia/perodixe like someone is dyeing their hair on my desk

This is really not my type of perfume, it is very sweet - you are overwhelmed at first - after a while it becomes more pleasant but still very sweet. It is a heavy sweet floral scent but I can't smell either lily of the valley, or freesia which are both light clear floral scents. I can't smell vanilla or praline either. An ok scent for a summer evening but nothing more than that.

A sweet, soft vanilla floral. It's pretty and smells very traditional to me, a little generic to my nose but it's nice enough. I just don't feel it smells distinctive enough on me when I wear it, it smells like it could be any number of perfumes without really being able to pinpoint one.

Some praline here, some almond there in a bouquet of flowers. A very much been there done that theme (hello la vie est belle) in women's fragrances (again, absolutely nothing unisex here). A casual shopper might smell and like, but not so nuch for people who are into the fragrances.

On my skin it smells like drugstore sweet perfume, the one your teacher in elementary school would have. I can definitely smell vanilla and praline notes, but they’re paired with something quite synthetic.

Smells like La vie est Belle, if you like that one you’ll like this one, and vice versa. I don’t like both.

The first 30 minutes is the best part-it starts out pleasantly fresh and juicy berry compote. After that, it's not so great. Pretty enough, but generically sweet, a bit sickly and milky, like artificially sweetened vanilla milkshake. Its like one of those pretend perfumes in children's dress-up make-up sets. The staying power is impressive though.

Tried this hoping it would give me a better less powdery version of La Vie Est Belle, but nope. The two smell pretty much the same, and on my skin turns into a sweetened dusty floral powder with some patchouli.

Veeery saccharine sweet in the opening. Not identifiably vanilla, just an assault of floral-sugariness. The dry down is pretty, albeit synthetic. You do get nuances of the pink pepper against a frangipane tart gourmand profile but overall it really doesn't stand up against other praline-vanilla scents. Try Ex Nihilo's Explicite, if you're searching for an ostensibly better-performing and more dimensional fragrance in this regard. I agree with the association toward 'La Vie est Belle', this definitely gives designer perfume energy. Nice but forgettable and a little plasticky! It reminds me of Barbie dolls.

Vanilla is a bit heavy at first with almond and praline, but on the drydown the pink pepper sparkles with the other florals and overall the fragrance “lightens up”. I would say this is in the same DNA or scent profile as “Good Girl” by Carolina Herrera, just without the lemon accord. However, this scent is much more suited to late spring and summer while Good Girl is best for colder months. The 50 ml will be nice while it lasts but I am not sure if I'm lacking in other pink pepper or vanilla scents enough to stock up on a second bottle.

Exquise Tentation opens fruity, spicy, bright and sweet. Mid to dry, it transforms into a totally different fragrance as the florals come to play. Followed by a creamy nutty strong base infused with a little woodiness. It’s like having a picnic of desserts in a flowery garden on a lovely spring afternoon. Linen shirt, soft breezes, a cloudy sky with the right amount of sunshine. SPL is really good. I got 8+ hours on my skin as it projected for a good 5 hours leaving sweet flowery trails of it wherever I go.
