Woodylicious

I blind bought a full bottle of this for a great price. Risky? Possibly, although there’s something about this house’s perfumes that I really like - Exquise Tentation is my absolute favourite, oh that dry down! I also love Douce Insomnie and Tobacco Volute. Thankfully, I love Woodylicious (despite the terrible name), which on me is sweetened rum to start and then dries down into a gorgeous nutty, cocoa-y, vanilla but actually not too sweet skin scent. I will wear this a lot come the autumn, it’s possibly a bit sticky for warm weather wear. I also appreciate that the house does 15ml bottles. I don’t always want 50 or 100ml, or even 30ml. Smaller sizes of between 8 and 15ml mean I can afford a selection of fragrances to choose from every day. One bottle of Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille or five or six smaller bottles of others almost or as good? Sorry, Guerlain, you can keep your exclusivity, I don’t care anymore. (Well, I do a bit, I would love a bottle of SDV. It’s not a case of not being able to afford it really, I spend as much on fragrance over a couple of months probably, it just feels so much harder to justify (to myself, no one is policing my purchasing!) on one bottle, no matter how delicious the juice.) This is my first review (after years of reading other reviews) so that’s probably why it’s turned into a more general reflection. Woodylicious really is delicious though!

My oh my. I don’t think I’ve had such a strong reaction to a perfume in a long time. I’m already the proud owner of Tobacco Volute and Exquise Temptation and did not expect to be wowed being ghat I had smelled all the Opuses. Let me tell you. This is it. It’s nutty, floral, slightly boozy—not too much but just enough to make it addictive. The rose ? The pepper for a little bit of spice ? She’s cheeky, the sandalwood and musk ground it so beautifully. It lasts so long on the skin too! Gorgeous

Smells just like a floral sauna. It's a lot more woody when you spray it for the first time. However after some time it becomes a soft, sweet rosy scent. Not like an overpowering sweet though it's very demure. Kind of addicting i keep sniffing it even after having it on for a couple of hours and as someone who's very sensitive to fragrances it's not overpowering at all in the way that it'll give you a headache.

Sweet lipstick-like scent with powdered rose and a touch of raspberry(?), reminds me of nightclubs in the early 00s. It’s also sickly sweet, like something I would expect from a very popular designer fragrance. Follow me on ig: scent.guide
