24 Carat Pure Gold

STRONG and SEXY, but a little ROUGH AROUND the EDGES, as others have mentioned. I've owned this fragrance for about 5-years, and I can safely say there is enough fragrance in this potent bottle to last most people a lifetime. My initial impression was that 24 Carat Gold reminded me somewhat of Mancera Black to Black (UAE exclusive) and other Montale Aoud fragrances. I didn't really get the 1 Million connection that others have mentioned. However, it opened with beastly longevity and projection and is definitely better suited for the cooler Fall and Winter months. I've spent a quite a bit of time with 24 Carat Gold over the years and I still stumble when trying to describing this scent. It is unique, for sure! I sense incense right upon first spray, but it is not intense nor would I say this fragrance is balsamic; there is certainly oud (medicinal type) but I do not consider this one to be oud heavy like so many of my other Middle Eastern frags; it is certainly warm-spicy, but I don't detect much cinnamon. In my opinion, I would say there are notes of chili pepper and cloves which are not listed. Moreover, the saffron is intense at the opening and well into the heart, with a touch of a bright rose playing casually in the background. Amber, leather, musk and vanilla push forward in the drydown, but they all blend together as this fragrance transitions closer to the skin after the 6-hours mark. I would not be surprised if folks cannot detect amber, leather of vanilla because, to me, it's just a lightly sweetened, light amber-leather scent. Overall performance was SOLID, but not quite beastly, as it lasts 12+ hours on my skin (although the last 6+ hours are much softer) and it projected very well...although not quite as beastly as when it opens. After speaking to others...yes, my initial 4-5 sprays did, in fact, fill a large room. So go easy on the trigger. I enjoy wearing 24 Carat Gold on cool evenings and only in an open venue as it is not a date-night or snuggle scent during the first 2-3 hours. Wear with caution (too much is NOT a good thing) and make sure you love really strong and spicy saffron, incense, oud scents. Finally, I highly recommend layering this fragrance with something like Cologne of the Missions (vanilla intense) or something with a strong leather or amber drydown. Seriously, give it a try...vanilla does a really nice job or smoothing out the rough edges.

Does it get you guys hard when you use colourful exaggerations for anything you don't understand? Did we secretly get colonised for shit and spice was just an excuse? Have you consumed only saffron and oud and drank only rose water to the point your p**p smells like it? I know the West was technologically ahead but forgive me for not knowing about this otherworldly make-your-poop-ethereal technology. Clowning aside, this is a basic, really simple saffron-leather-oud fragrance with tons of rose. Nothing about this is even half as wild or polarising as xenophobicpoopiebros here suggest. Maybe if you guys start eating some fibre and p**p more often, it won't haunt your dreams and consume your reality like Freddy Krueger. It won't chase you in a snowy maze yelling daddy's home; just make you smell like roses and oud-saffron.

Subversive, Mellow & Sweet Saffron-Rose-Oud with Leather & Vanilla... This sheer & bright scent has a slightly subversive feel to it, and yet it's mellow & sweet. It's hard to pinpoint, but it may be that the oud is moving slightly out of tame territory with some leather-saddle/barnyard animalics that won't be for everyone. In the first couple of minutes I feel the oud & saffron, and already the rose is swelling through. As the sillage opens up, the rose is bringing a sheer & bright projection to the oud-rose-saffron combo. Cinnamon is there in the backseat, bringing a little sparkle to the saffron. The oud here leans leather-y with animalics, supported by leather again in the base. Vanilla from the base is more forward than the notes would suggest, bringing a creamy sweetness. Overall it's a bright & sweet oud-rose-saffron scent with animalics and above average performance. I didn't love this at first sniff, but as I'm coming back to it I'm really enjoying the sheer & bright projection of the saffron-rose-oud. For oud lovers. Enjoy!

I got more time with this now that it's getting colder and colder outside. The first blast chokes you.. Literally! For me, it's like someone had hands around my neck. It's a cocktail of notes fighting to get your attention : smoky, woody, leathery and even some sweetness. It's violent (that's how I would describe it), but I find rather pleasant once you get used to it. It settles into a confusing smooth-routh ambery, smoky westernized oud smell with hints of sweetness and a good dose of spice. As for performance, you can easily overspray this if you are not careful and it lasts and lasts and lasts!!! I paid 19$ for this and I think I got a great fragrance!

Imagine 1 million done with oud...this is that dream come true. Besides all the crap that 1 million gets all the time, i like it and i use it at least every weekend...love the strenght and the lasting power,this is that taken a little bit further...the oud note makes it deeper and mature. Lattafa fragrances never dissapoint, so far all 3 i have bought from them are great (maybe the bottles are not that good, but the juices...are just great) 95/100 RIYL: 1 Million, 1 Million Parfum, 1 million clones (212 vip, halloween man, etc.)

Wowee this is a keeper. First of all the packaging is awesome and expensive looking, the bottle is quirky and unique, but OMFG the smell is utterly divine. I understand the initial likeness to PR1M but after 30 seconds this transforms into a lovely smooth spicy almost edible fragrance. Its quite potent so a little goes a long way . Overspraying will melt your nostrils. Im maybe bias as an oud, spice, sweet addict but for the price give it a try . I would deffo re purchase this.

ottimo accordo centrato sull'oud, sorretto da accenni di zafferano e da un solidissimo cuoio. il risultato è asciutto, secco, molto mediorientale e gradevolissimo. senza spendere una fortuna per procacciarsi vari ed eventuali oud di montale, acqua di parma etc etc, provate questo che, come gli altri lattafa, rende assaissimo in termini di durata e sillage, e costa neppure 30€.

This is similar to nepal aoud from montale. The montale obviously smells higher quality but this is still good especially for 16 dollars. Longevity and sillage are both above average. I get mainly oud and leather from this with rose and incense as supporting notes. 8/10.

Dupe of Montale Nepal Oud. I had this for a year and when I recently bought Montale Nepal oud I was really surprised to find that this is a very close copy of it. Tested them both on paper this Lattafa lasted much longer than Montale.

It is 100% feminine .. Low price & beautiful high quality. long lasting & not linear at all it goes through some interesting positive changes. Recommended for the mature ladies.

Its enormous cinnammon rose oud way over the normal human can smell,its really killing me cause it too harsh..

I've had this for a long time. It is indeed a little rough around the edges, but it's still a great fragrance. My personal biggest gripe is that the incense in this smells a little too "ashtray" in the far drydown. Oud needed to be a base note to help tame down the incense. However, for the price you are hard pressed to find perfumes attempting to smell as rich, opulent, and smoky. Not a safe blind buy, although I personally enjoy it. This could be better, but it still has major balls for doing what it's doing here. Projection: Explosive at first, then tames down to arm length for a long time. Longevity: 18+ Scent: "A-" for a good 6-8 hours or so, then the closer to the far drydown it gets the more I start to dislike it for its pure ashtray scent, settling into a "D" for me, but that's so far into the drydown that you'd have to avoid taking a shower, so let's just say it smells great. :-) EDIT: I've been layering a woody oud attar over this after spraying, and it really helps keep things in balance after a while. This is easily one of Lattafa's better offerings, and it deserves more recognition.

I was not expecting to fall in love with this but I couldn't help it! 😳 The reviews are polarizing, some hate it and some adore it. I can absolutely see why this is considered an acquired taste in the perfume world. 😍 My bottle smells wonderful! Balanced and beautiful. Maybe I got a good batch? This is a no-regrets blind buy for me. Very smokey, vanillic ambery creaminess, potent woodiness, weirdly earthy/spicy, surprisingly sweet but not sugary, gentle leather notes and OMG does it punch! 👊 Not one to wash off easily either so you better want to smell it for hours, and oh boy do I! 🤤 It's beautifully complex, projects around corners, the tiniest spritz goes a long way... I am in smokey perfume heaven. 👉💟👈 7.5/10 Will wear this mysterious mix often.👍

I have Montale AOUD NIGHT for the second time and I know its scent well. As soon as I sprayed Lattaf on my left hand I knew they were the same. That's why I also put AOUD NIGHT on my right hand to feel the difference. It is 99% the same and it is great that for the price of €20 in Slovakia I can get such a high-quality and cheap fragrance. My wife couldn't tell the difference in my skin. Buy 2ml samples to compare both and you'll thank me later. Durability and intensity are fine and well above the average of even more expensive designer offerings.

First impression: It opens with a skanky oud and saffron, I love it. Sadly, it's short-lived, perhaps ten minutes or so. A bit of incense appears as well. Then it transforms to a sweet rose and gooey woody-leathery oud scent with just a hint of something that might be perceived as skanky. Knowing me, I'd probably love to wear the skank all day.

Sweet Metallic Medicine oud replication like ointment or salve Sharp Warm ....I imagine a pleasant, fresh smelling dental surgery, and nice flowers, or something slightly sweet. It smells clinically clean. I do like this.

this one hits with the spicy mild leather scent, the oud and rose play good in this cologne.not a loud leather,very subtle scent. after a while of wearing the sandlewood and leather take over. this is one i find okay. would i buy it again ? no. i am not a big fan of leather. some tame it down to be enjoyable. this is not one of them. however it is a good mild scent. i have to put this one more on the ladies side of wearing, i can not get the vanilla and cinnamon scent out of this one.however for 20 bucks it is well worth the money.

Leaning more masculine, leather forward, basically all I can smell is leather and oud, sort of medicinal oud like others have mentioned. I laughed out loud when I read someone said it smells like an ointment or salve because that's exactly what I thought! Anyway I'll have to try this again in the winter. This is my first review but I'm living in the middle east and have gotten so into Arabic scents and brands especially Lattafa! They have turned me into a collector, affordable and good quality

the opening is a burst of cheap synthetic saffron à la Oud/Montale then it evolves into the spicy cheap oud territory but with a touch of animality, skanky leather, who saves the perfume from a total mediocrity. Still not far away from the smell of rubbing alcohol. Déjà vu 1001 times I see an amazing number of review who try to sell you this perfume as a marvel...but it's the equivalent in quality of a Axe for men deodorant in the arabian style.

Nothing like 1 Million, literally nowhere near. I love Lattafa but i'm not a fan of this scent at all. All i get from this is Burnt Oud, Burnt Leather, Burnt musk and Burnt Incense. It sounds masculine but it gives off too much of a dirty vibe, if you spray this after a shower, you just had a shower for no reason. This ones only for super super heavy Burnt Oud/Incense lovers.

This opens very sharply. Oud is there but it's mixed with other things that I didn't like. It's sweet but harsh, to my nose. To me it's a feminine scent, a sharp one. Fortunately, the bottle came leaking so I could return it. Don't buy unless you're familiar with the scent, it's not for everyone.

To me this smells 95% like cheap synthetic fabric softener and 5% cheap oud. Oh and your clothes do need a good wash after having been sprayed because it seems the longevity is eternal

Never got into this one. It has that overall artificial oud/musk vibe that so many things have now -but it also is excessively synthetic which I can't get past.

listen i bought this as a blind buy and i was really excited to smell it. when i opened this beautiful box and saw the beautiful bottle it made me even more excited. but alas i was thoroughly disappointed to find out it smelled exactly like the stem of a rose and only that. i couldn’t smell any of the other notes listed at all. just the stem of a rose. so if that floats your boat by all means buy it but if you have any brain power you wouldn’t buy it.

I bought this a while back and quickly gave it away to someone. I've come to realize that I just don't like oud or rose fragrances expecially cheaper ones and so no surprise that I hated this one. I can't believe that some people actually like this scent but I guess they do. Top 3 worst blind buys of all time for me.

this is straight TEAR GAS, it is a bio-weapon. this is so strong and synthetic it makes me sick. i put 3 sprays of this, got kicked out of my class and it stayed on my clothes for a week. this is actual trash, i ended up spraying it all inside a public restroom (2 weeks later its still closed)

Lattafa, what is this? You've never steered me wrong before, but this is ass. I can usually find good in any cologne I get, but I just can't here. If it works for you, more power to you.

I beg your pardon, i know this scent from somewhere, but where from? First spray it felt strangely familiar but the lack of presence and sillage underwhelms whatever is supposed to be in this liquid... minutes pass, nothing happens, it doesn't go anywhere from that strange Burned forest soil mixed with warm ashes of burning bovine feces fumes. oh! now i remember where from... just less intense, it was the shock i had when i landed in Bombay in January 1995, it is so close to that atmospheric all surrounding all penetrating fragrance of literally burned bull (and cow) shit. and don't take me as vulgar, as those who are in the know would testify that there are even warm and spicy shades deep in the colorectal passage of holy mammals. as for the gold, not less than 24 Karat, i can only assume that must be an internal humour, just as the alchemist which claims turning lead to gold, these Lataffa Al-Parfumers managed to turn Burned feces into gold. genial. Performance: not impressive, almost non present, but where and when present, can't mistake, once smelled can't be unsmelled. it is what it is. Sillage: not typical for Lataffa, weak to intimate If only the contents of this well designed and blinging unique bottle were close to the effort made on the bottle and box For lovers of burning wood and left overs. (i wanted to write that perhaps attempting to mix and layer this with Bogard one man show gold might bring the gasoline into this mixture, but that might be dangerous and if it explodes don't blame me. but i decided not to write this). TL;DR Bad smoking feces release from Lataffa. don't bother, go for the real thing instead. PS: I live in the middle east, and NO, no powerful rich or weak Bedouin tribe leader in the desert would ever smell like this. this is strictly for the camel abattoir workers.

Hi I am man I wear this alot , to be honest i was recommended this by some one who said its wonderful your love it ,,, i bought it and i no way thought i would like it ,when ever someone says i will love something and i have i have not been impressed in the past BUT its truly like every thing that's wonderful in the world in one gorgeous eau de toilette ,if your not feeling happy maybe a bit tires ,spary this and you will feel all the stresses fly out the door and slam it on the way out ,,. any one not loving this has a serious issue with there conk this is with out doubt the lovelyest most wonderful smell if you don't already have it don't hesitate to buy it , I bought another bottle of it the next day . i also bought the silver too the silver version of this is not the same at all its not bad ,but there nothing special about the silver version .Actually stop that , I just sprayed the silver and smelt it adn you know it is special too but the high notes of it are a bit common i cant remember what it reminds me of but the high notes are clean and fresh smelling even if they are not special ,and i almost gave it a bad rep ,but the base notes make up for it buy it too

I tried this out a few months back, maybe more, and I didn't mind it -- in fact, I actually enjoyed it. I found a bottle of this for half-price, and I thought to myself "why not?", and here I am! It has an overdose of either Sandexol or Palisandrol, like a lot of Lattafa scents do, and I think that and ONLY that is what appeals to me. Bloated basenotes, 'oud' (seriously? at this price I doubt this even has Agar Blend in it!), 'saffron' (saffraleine), a leathery-animalic punch, and some pixelated rose. It's ABSOLUTE synth trash, but it's still damn good. Arguing about the quality of the ingredients in this scent is like arguing about the nutritional value of a pack of mentos -- it smells good, it smells NOT cheap, and it smells like a lot of the South Asian gents I used to teach back in the day. Glad I got this, but I probs won't be wearing it every day...

I'll just preface this by stating how I love Tuscan Leather, and a couple reviewers had mentioned this fragrance resemblance to it & is what piqued my interest. That said, it does bear a resemblance, but in no way is a TL clone or anything. Where TL has that hint of raspberry and blast of quinolines, 24CGold has a smoky / slightly animalic note accompanying some kind of floral. It evoked a perfume-ish kind of truck-exhaust smell to my nose. The whole aroma had a kick that reminded me of my buddy's dad's garage when I wad a kid. Just an attractive smoky floral leather, makes me think of an autoshop. Performance is not bad, nothing beastly or anything, however I overspray & when it gets on the inside of my shirt it lasts all day.

I really love this-- my only regret is that it doesn't perform better. On me it's a skin scent within 90 minutes. But I do love the composition. This is oud, saffron, leather, rose and musk. Something I wouldn't call safe for blind buy because finally the oud is a little bit skanky, a little more Hindi oud with that animalic sort of horse note. At first the oud is strong and then eventually saffron comes out and after that a pleasant musk, balanced and harmonized very well. The oud calms but doesn't fade away. One of those fragrances that I would describe as classic Middle Eastern style, if you know and love the genre you will get it, and if you don't it may be a harsh introduction but you will love it eventually.

I purchased this for my Dad, as he likes fragrances with woodsy, tobacco and smokey notes. I opened and sprayed this on a tester and this is not bad at all. Maybe the newer batches smell better? I can recall getting a bad batch of Oud Mood Elixir, so funky, I gave it away. I purchased it again and it was MUCH better. Another thing you can do is put your fragrance in a zip lock bag and place it in the FREEZER for a few days. This has made a HUGE difference to some of the "interesting/challenging" fragrances that I have purchased. Some it makes a very big difference, some, small differences.

Okay so this is my first fragantica review. Im a perfume collector (over 70+ perfumes) and this perfume has made me create an account to leave a review. I received the fragance and was amazed by the package. When i first sprayed it, I went on amazon to request a return. I despised the strong oud i thought i smelt. However, within the next minute, i started smelling a woody and smoky and amazing smell. Lasts forever. Dry downs to a cigarette type of scent and ashy scent which I actually like. amazing

Actually smells like poopy oud - only not enough. I’ve come to love assam/indian oud, the kind you’d find in Silver Oud by Amouage. I went for a sample of this cause everybody said “poop on fire” and i thought “hmm, lets see” - the matter is that indeed it could smell poopier/deeper/more animalic and just stops before it gets interesting enough. I mean it is interesting if you love heavy animalic leather, it just doesnt let you live that sweet barnyardy manuric oud enough.

I'm a Gardner. I recently got a large pile of fertilizer and mulch sent to my house. The smell was putrid. Rotting wood and feces that just smells WARM and ROTTING. This fragrance captures that exact nose feel perfectly. Hot wet piss cooking in the sun. Cow dung. And ceder chips. If you want to smell like you just rolled in a pile of shitty wood chips this is your fragrance

I will start simply saying, that is the smell of money and ellegance inside the bottle, it ́s a very powerful oud fragrance, but it does not burn your nostrils, I feel a high quality onefor the price you pay. I can also say that you don ́t need 200 bucks to wear a great oud fragrance.

Whatever else is in this, it is primarily spiky woods (aka Screamwood) for me. It has such an overpowering loud alcohol/shrieky wood note that the other notes are lost to my nose. If you aren't sensitive to the spiky woods, this might be nice, but if you are, avoid it.

Mellow, sweet and woody. To me this is a typical mid eastern perfume for gentlemen. Rose and woody notes r balanced and classic. The ever-present honey/sweet note is a tick too much for me, lowering its class. Good but nothing special

Beautiful, oudy smell, typical arabic , good for winters and at night, smells nice and expensive but isnt. Quite long lasting.
