Ajwad

Ofcourse, fragrances and tastes are VERY subjective, but folks who complain about the smell of Ajwad by saying that is smells "Aweful" must be either spraying it on their hand or wherever, going in DIRCTLY for a sniff and then judging it that way or they're simply over-spraying (easy to do with Ajwad). This may be one of Lattafa's best fragrances imo. Its a beast (I do 2 maybe 3 spritzes which last all day) That's ALL YA NEED, and once its settles has the most beautiful, persistant, soft, modern "Pale Rose"/fruit (grape) with slight vanillic touches, welcoming sillages around. I think that because of how potent it is, it smells just a tad metallic up close when sprayed (initially), but folks, just try doing minimal spritzes away from your face, let it settle and you'll experience that BEAUTIFUL, cozy, persistant sillage that garners very positive attention. Im a guy and feel this leans quite feminine, yet EVERYTIME I wear it to work I get compliments while I'm enjoying the sillage myself.this fragrance is worth a pick up (especially by the ladies) spray just a few spritzes away from the face and let this scent reach your nose from afar (which Is how perfume is meant to be smelled), and you'll probably agree that this is a fabulous fragrance! 9 outta 10 easy with superb longevity, also Lattafa's Ajwad gets EVEN BETTER after it's matured for a month or two. I have a feeling this fragrance will become a "Lattafa cult classic" bc I think its even an original dna which (resembles) other niche fragrances, but yet again, dont MOST fragrances resemble others these days "Clone" or NOT?🤔 IMO, this fragrance has a lot of "Niche qualities", Quite polarizing, extremely pontent and lasting, unique and even off-putting when over-done, not easy to wrap one's head around. Yep, sounds like a lot of "Niche" frags out there which costs IN THE HUNDREDS vs this gem that can be had for UNDER $20! The value here is MASSIVE, and Im actually glad its so polarizing. For instance, I dont like smelling (MY) Khamrah Qawha on EVERYONE and their grandma when Im out and about! Makes me NOT want to wear it at all bc it takes all the mystery out of it! And I LOVE the way Sauvage smells, but refuse to buy it for the same reason, EVERYONE KNOWS its Sauvage!... NO fun at all imo. So give me a polorizing "Weird dna" any day so long as I enjoy it! 🫠

This has quickly become one of my favorites. To me it kinda smells like Montale's intense cafe (which I love) without the coffee, with a touch of fruitiness at the top, and also a touch of woodiness at the base. It is a really nice syrupy rose scent that leans almost gourmand tbh. You definitely get the vanilla too though not overpowering as its very well blended in with the rose. Same goes for the jasmine. The fruitiness at the top is the hardest part of the fragrence to describe for me as its pretty hard to pin down what fruits are used here, but whatever is used has a bubblegumy sweet character to it, however, its not overly sweet nor harsh. The fragrence in general while pretty sweet and dense is pretty smooth after the very intial spray. I can kinda see how people get a metallic character from this as the intial spray has a sorta cooling effect to it but it definitely warms up pretty quick. Last forever on clothing and on skin still testing longevity but the first 2 hours the projection was pretty strong. Radiated off the skin like crazy. For the next 2 hours It started to project a little bit less, forming a nice scent bubble. After, it only got closer and closer to the skin, becoming a skin scent after around 6 hours. Maybe lasting for another 2-4 hours as a skin scent. Very linear ofc but I appreciate linear frags. As much as I love Intense Cafe, this to me does the Vanilla Rose combo a bit better as it is more wearable. I can see myself wearing this all seasons, where as Intense cafe I can barely even see myself wearing it even when its most optimal. Ofc Ik this isnt a dupe of Intense Cafe, nor is it a dupe of Roses Vanille, if anything it is likely a dupe of Magic by Al-Jazeera but it definitely fulfills the role of Intense Cafe for me and then some. Its also dirt cheap. I got this for $18 so its hard to even consider me getting something like Roses Vanille if I wanted something similar to Intense Cafe.

I've owned this for around 7 months now, and I can confidently say that maceration is a real thing and isn't BS. Don't get me wrong; when I first smelled the tester in the store, it smelled incredible. I can see why people rate this as a more feminine-leaning scent, but as a guy, I genuinely enjoy the sweetness. Back then I didn't know Fragrantica was a thing, so I just had to guess what it smelled like. If I could help anyone describe it, "It's like you've handpicked a bunch of your granny's finest fruits in her backyard and sat in the garden filled with flowers to eat with her, being shaded by the huge oak tree that is older than you by at least a 100 years." The vanilla could almost be dismissed entirely because, for me (personally), the drydown is way more woodsy than vanillic. It's a pretty obvious disclaimer that this is NOT BLIND BUY SAFE. Your nose has to like this fragrance; otherwise, you'd end up like @Austin234 or @ishasarah89 below me, because this is neither cheap-smelling nor does it smell like pen ink. It smells like a nice basket of fruits with a rose bouquet. Sillage and longevity are pretty decent as far as Lattafa goes, a good 5 hours for me with the first 1&1/2 hours being the projective period; after that, it becomes an intimate bubble of rose and ambery woods. can be worn year-round, to be honest; it's versatile as freak, the fruitiness can be considered freshie status, whilst the base wood and amber drydown can be a good evening night out for coffee or a date night I do have to warn, though, if you are prone to sweating or have BO, the rose + base notes can come off pretty animalic and urine-y. My brother was the one who had tested this; he wore this to go for a run 💀. Don't ask me why. After half a year, this gets a solid 8.5/10; if it were to have projected longer, this would easily be one of my signatures. Good job, Lattafa!

So, ive eyeing this parfume for a while now frankly because i find the presentation so very unique and beautiful. Ive been sorta worried about "pulling the trigger" as so many people seem to be divided over this fragrance as well as folks saying that it leans quite Feminine and I do enjoy many unisex frags, but do not normally wear very feminine fragrances. With that said, I am SOOO so glad I purchased Ajwaad! I feel that this frag is completely unisex and really like the mild spicey/nutmeg accord. I DO NOT get that irony metallic scent many complain about, nor do I find it extremely floral as many describe. To my nose it comes accross very fruity/sweet/red berry/spicey/woody with a touch of rose in the opening. The sillage isn't crazy, but the longevity is amazing! I could still get wiffs of it even after my 8 hour work day (warehouse setting) Also for what its worth, this bottle is even more beautiful when you see it in person. It has a metal plaque with all those beautiful, raised coloful details. I just dont understand how on earth Lattafa does it as I got this for only $19!! Beautiful 8 outta 10 frag in my opinion😊 ‐------‐---------------------------------- Update So, I havent worn Ajwaad for a exactly 1 month (because of this wretched Florida heat) and so its been macerating during that time. Ajwaad has gotten sweeter, stronger and I can now pick up on the slight powderyness people talk about. Also, I can pick up on the rose and vanilla a bit more. I still LOVE this scent and feel that the very distinguishable spiciness make it unisex enough for men to wear, unfortunately I ended up with a headache bc I kept sniffing my arm where I sprayed and like I said, it got EVEN STRONGER than it already was! lol. I really like this gorgeous, UNIQUE fragrance and cant wait to rock it when it cools down a bit.

Update: So I'd purchased Ajwad back in July 2024. I'd found it a bit wierd, but still enjoyable. Back then it seemed quite evenly "unisex" but after macerating since then, the Rose note has intensified, and although the vanilla is NOT a "Gourmand" vanilla (thankfully), it has also become a bit more noticable. The soft fruity/sweet nuances also make Ajwad lean just a tad more on the feminine side. The "wierdness" of the slight Iron-y smell has dailed back quite a bit, yet it's still there, and Im sorta glad it's not completely gone bc it makes this more interesting and it gives this fragrance an "edgy-ness" which still keeps it somewhat unisex/leaning fem (BTW, this does NOT smell like iron in the air people!! Its when ya immediately put your nose all up where ya just sprayed that you get the "Iron smell" which actually dissapates pretty fast.) Also, the performance is amazing now (3-4 spritzes max), but it's still not too cloying even after that vanilla note has intensified, but I still recommend Ajwad to men and women alike who are a bit more adventurous with fragrances, And who dont feel offended and wrinkle their noses and say "Peeeww" at the slightest bit of "odd-ness" in a fragrance. Again, in the air Ajwad smells really beautiful and "Expensive" and although as a man Im not accustomed to using very feminine fragrances, Ajwad gets use from me bc it really has become very, very nice after macerating a while and remains interesting. I also get plenty of compliments at work with this fragrance, and that freakin bottle is a work of art! Anyhow, YES Ajwad most def has improved after maceration although it has become a bit more feminine, yet its still a great "Unisex" fragrance. 9 outta 10 ESPECIALLY bc its polorizing and is fo sho worth the pick up! Think SNOW! This fragrance is all musk, amber & cedar, with a heart of rose and fruity top notes. I don't know how they did it but this aroma smells just like snow. It has that little tingly je ne sais quoi of a snowy winter walk. I am renaming that metallic aroma others are referring to as ozonic. If you think of frozen treats or snow this aroma becomes a total joy. This is a very cooling futuristic aromatic experience. I think people simply are missing its essence. Such a cooling and futuristic scent is not expected from an Arabic fragrance. Perhaps people are expecting ancient, rose, musk and warmth. This is not that type of experience. I bought this after trying the room spray which I thought was interesting, but was overwhelmed by the actual fragrance. It is not too strong on me. Its sillage is gentile, crisp full. The sillage is large for the first 10 minutes but then dies down to a mysterious musky cooling tingle. I am all about Lataffa at the moment their prices are insanely inexpensive, rivaling the most expensive Niche fragrances on the market. This situation can't last forever so Im gonna buy buy buy as many of their fragrances that catch my interest. Simply put I find this to be a little piece of art. One more thing. I am wondering if Lataffa had snow in mind from the get-go. The packaging of kaleidoscopic N. African shapes may imply a conscious intention to invoke the aroma of a snowflake. Also, I find the wooden top and colors significant as well. The overall design seems to imply it is a fantasy about a snowy mountain conjured by someone who lives/creates in the Middle East. Interesting....hm hm hm

This perfume is not overwhelmingly strong if you are middle eastern/ connected to the culture. You are used to this intensity of perfume because all of your aunties regularly douse themselves in Arab perfume. Anyways, i loved this on my skin and I’m so glad i bought it! I don’t smell anything metallic at all. The first thing i smelled was musk; fruit, rose and powdery notes came after i sniffed again. It is very intense though. I will be mixing it with something fruitier because the musk is making it seem more aged and mature than a lighthearted fruity floral scent. When i smell this, i imagine fluffy clouds of musk with fruits and flowers sprinkled on it, but the musk isn’t a fresh musk, it’s more of a warm musk and reminds me of being covered by a really thick blanket with heat blasting. It gives a really comforting and cozy vibe but is perfect for elegant scenes like weddings and fancy date nights. I just smelled it again after a few minutes and the dry down is way fruitier. I’m getting a rosy pink color when i smell it. I almost feel like there’s some sort of jasmine peaking through but that just might be my nose confusing the rose scent. It’s definitely heavily musky. I smell a lot of vanilla, but it’s not an intoxicating or gourmand vanilla. It reminds me of vanilla musk by nemat. I feel like this is what jasmine would wear (from Aladdin lol). It gives me Arabian princess vibes in a palace with arguila (hookah) blowing and tea trays. Smells like home ! <3

Inspired by a YouTube review, I took a chance and blind-bought this Arabian perfume from Amazon—my first foray into this category of fragrance. Upon the very first spritz, I was instantly captivated. The initial impression is a vibrant and juicy floral opening with a subtle, intriguing metallic note. As it dries down, the scent evolves into what my husband aptly describes as "good wine and clean laundry," a sophisticated and clean combination. While it leans toward a traditionally feminine profile, its unique character makes it a compelling choice for anyone comfortable in their masculinity, adding a refined touch to a man's presence. This fragrance has exceptional longevity and powerful sillage. With just 3-4 spritzes, the scent leaves a lasting impression. Its projection is remarkable; during a recent doctor's visit, an assistant noted its beautiful aroma from the moment she entered my room. Its staying power is equally impressive—after applying it at 8 a.m., my husband came home at 6 p.m. and could still detect my presence by the lingering scent in our home. Even my sister, who is notoriously selective about fragrances, finds herself drawn to its aroma and often requests I wear it when we go out. If you appreciate a bold, long-lasting, and unique scent with excellent projection, I highly recommend this perfume. As it remains a niche find, you can enjoy the distinction of wearing a fragrance that is both high-quality and uncommon.

If warm sangria was a perfume, this would be it! I can't help but be transported back to life in Spain enjoying tapas with family and friends when I spray this. To me, the fruit notes really are a general mixture of citrus, apple, and grapes that have been marinating in a sweet red wine with a touch of fragrant rose and vanilla. There is no coolness or lightness to this in my opinion; it is very warming, sultry, and delicious. It is quite strong and will radiate, so I use about 2-3 sprays at most and have no worries since it lasts all day. I get none of the metallic touches that other reviews have mentioned, which I am thankful for. I'm happy to wear this during the day at any time, but it may be more appropriate for date night and cooler months for most folks. If you enjoy a deep incense that touches on both the fruity and floral sides, then I imagine that you could enjoy Ajwad. I did blind buy this based on the notes, but I do not consider it safe to blind buy for everyone. If you have the opportunity to test this beforehand, definitely do that.

UPDATE 10/25/24: Now that it has sat for some time, even though the metallic note is still present, all the other other stuff has risen up to meet it so now I absolutely love this not just for its weird factor, but genuinely think it’s is a beautiful, classy and somewhat eccentric scent. I crave smelling this and have bought a back up bottle. ———— This is on the brink of off-putting and weird in a great way. I like that it doesn’t try to be mass appealing to everyone. It’s definitely a love or hate and the metal definitely is a thing and I love it for that. Reminds me of when I was a kid and would do all sorts of flips and things on the metal bars at school. I almost don’t like it, but I super love it. Smells cold somehow. I pull this out on days I’m feeling like I want to be a little weird, which is often. Looking forward to trying out different layering combinations with clean musk, maybe more amber/vanilla/rose. I dig it.

This was the ONE paper test strip that I didn't write the fragrance name on because it didn't stand out to me at the time, and then later, I was like: "WAIT, what is this?!" I went back to the store and retraced my steps to find that it was in fact Ajwad. Ajwad was such a beautiful discovery. I feel like it scratches the unusual scent niche for me. It reminds me of the fragrances with the odd, subtle rice notes like Blue Madeleine, but with notes that elevate it and make it actually lovely and not just soft weirdness. Ajwad is a beautiful weirdness that is so well blended, I didn't even pick the rose note until I looked it up. Please tell me there are more fragrances with rose notes that are this balanced because I can't do another pink pepper and rose fragrance. PS - I ordered Ajwad Pink to Pink. I know lightning doesn't strike twice, but it sounds fascinating and I can't wait to try it and give it time.

While Ajwad is an elusive yet powerful scent which transcends time and space, it will definitely declare your worldly personality to the room. I can't but feel that the bottle is a magic lamp, and with a simple touch, an ancient oriental genie is released, a genie bound to the orient which I know and love. Perhaps lovers of this scent are granted their true wishes. Perhaps those who despise its smoky essence are forever cursed. Layer yourself in this scent, and you will walk in a cloud of mysterious woody incense all day, while all of the cotidian which surrounds you will appear to you but a mirage. Those who enter the room you grace with your perfumed presence will declare that they feel they have entered a harem abound with the beauty and riches of the ancient orient. With Ajwad you will indeed become an ornament of the world.

This is my second Lattafa and I am equally enjoying this one. This is a “reminds” me of Mancera’s Roses Vanillee, not a dupe. It’s a smooth blend of vanilla, jasmine and roses. Soft, but a few sprays will get you the appropriate 1’ scent bubble. It does have that very distinctive Arabian perfume bottom note, maybe the amber or musk? But it’s nice. Perfect for early and cool spring, then again in fall. As with the Nebras bottle, first spray resulted in overflow everywhere and the black paint on the cap will come off if the oil gets on it. Wash the atomizer in hot water first and clear out the spray hole and it’s fine after. This has happened on both my bottles so I think I will just start doing this pre- spray. This is a nice casual date scent. Presentation is solid again as well. Thumbs up!

This is the most feminine fragrance I don’t mind wearing. It was gifted to me and at first I was like dang it’s too girly. But after wearing it to bed one night it felt nice and cozy and intoxicating. In the morning I could still smell it. I was in denial like nah this is too feminine but why deny myself this enjoyable fragrance that I do not get tired of smelling on me all day. It’s a beastly performer, 2 sprays (or 3 if you like to spray heavy) should suffice. If you’re a guy that enjoys freshies this will be totally different from what you’re used to but I recommend you buy it and give it a couple chances lol worse case you lose out on $20, best case scenario it’s a steal for an amazing unique fragrance.

Ajwad is one of my favorite perfumes! I'm so glad to finally see it in the database. I guess I can see a slight resemblance to Roses Vanille, but I don't see them as being very similar. I wouldn't have even noticed a resemblance if not for a certain reviewer pointing it out. I have both, and I like this one better. I seem to be the only one who thinks this, but I smell apple juice. It is a fuzzy, airy, sweet apple concoction to my nose. If you are smelling a new bottle for the first time, give it a couple of weeks. It gets so much better. I wasn't even sure I liked it at first, but now it's one of my greatest perfume loves.

Ajwad opens up with a sweet, sugary scent of fruit. I can't distinguish a fruit that sticks out more but I smell stone fruits like plum and nectarine. After the top notes disappears, you are left with a gourmand with rose notes, resembling a lot like Rose Vanilla by Mancera. I didn't like the first day I sprayed this. The top fruity notes came on too strong but the dry down is more balanced and worth waiting for the unfolding. I also like it better after a week as the the perfume got sweeter, less cloying and more pronounce. You don't need a lot sprays and it projects very well. 7/10 on the first day but now it is 10/10.

Delicious, beautiful chameleon that gets better each day! This is a fragrance that should macérate for a couple of weeks after the first initial spray. I get opening notes of sweet jammy fruit. Then come the spices mixed with vanilla which gradually warm down in a fruity amber and sweet mix. Sometimes I get the spices straight on the first spray then a plummy note layering smoothly into a spicy mix. The silage and longevity are both strong. It is a gorgeous scent, elegant, classy, statement making! If you don’t like sweet, spicy, somewhat jammy scents, then this is not a safe blind buy.

Smelled this passively at a shopping mall and I am straight away reminded of Delina by Parfums de Marly. But.. with a twist.🙂 I see where Lattafa was going with this. I think they were definitely inspired by some fragrance house and one of them has to be Parfums de Marly Delina. There's definitely litchi - ✔️ pink roses -✔️ -musc ✔️ and vanilla ✔️ Rhubarb,nutmeg and peony are missing to make this an almost complete clone. (Check out Pink to Pink Ajwad for confirmation btw). I love the scent and it's too feminine for my cup so I'd probably just gift this to a female special to me.

The opening is a little strange on this one. I guess it’s the metallic note people are mentioning below. Might it have something to do with the metal bottle? Not sure, but thankfully it doesn’t last long at all. Once that weird metal note is gone I definitely see the comparison to Roses Vanille, but I also get Kat Von D Sinner in the dry down. It’s like a combination of both and I love them both so it works out for me. It’s the creamy vanilla from Roses Vanille mixed with the spices and fruits from Sinner. A very lovely combination, and for the price, you really can’t beat it!

Ohh my Gosh, I just returned to this gorgeous flacon in one month and it’s completely transformed !!!! When I received it in the mail - I sensed just another Mid.Eastern woody fragrance , nothing special, kind a right in your face ...but NOW it’s turned into something mysteriously precious- it’s nothing to do with Rose Vanille, not even dna - I can’t put this bottle away from my nose - sniffing the cup ..wow wow wow Ok wearing it all day and feeling completely addicted, I've finally put my finger on it !!!! It's a very close version of my beloved " Gentle Fluidity Gold " !!!!
