Lattafa's Al Areeq Silver body slams its sibling flanker down to mat and pins it for the 1-2-3 count. THIS is the most masculine fragrance I've experienced to date. Silver is a hybrid leather and tobacco fragrance. It subs in a dense tobacco note for Gold's black tea. This pulls it out of Gold's gourmand arena and turns Silver into a powerful masculine fragrance. It's a potent blend of sweet, leather, tobacco, oud, woody, powdery, musk, floral and vanilla aromas, though the excellent balance in the notes makes this a lot drier than most sweet fragrances on the market. Where Gold is a nice intro to the leather fragrance DNA for gourmand lovers, Silver is unapologetically intended for users experienced with both leather and tobacco fragrances already. No easing anyone into anything here. This is definitely not unisex, is not good for younger male users, and is really best suited for confident older male users. The audience might be limited but this is extremely rewarding to that audience. It is potentially polarizing to everyone else Like Gold, Al Areeq Silver is very much a niche quality perfume for a discount price. Performance is quite strong. Very high QPR value here. The bottle presentation is beautiful. Note that this also comes in a display case that is IMHO completely unnecessary. It's hard to open and rather plain looking, especially in comparison to Lattafa's outstanding display case presentations for Thouq, Eternal Oud and the Winners Trophy fragrances. Case aside, this is an easy high recommend from me to male users.

Dense, swarthy, smoky, deep, moody and very masculine. So whats not to love? This is beautiful. A mysterious and quite dark fragrance. Al Areeq Silver is bold, assertive and muscular. cardamom, cypress, jasmine, leather, lavender, bakhoor smoke, apple.....challenging and direct. This is a statement maker who's not here to make friends. I get a warm depth of vetiver/patchouli here but its not listed as a note/accord. Its got a defined smoky herbal camphoraceous depth to it behind the exquisite naturalistic leather scent, with a freshness of the lavender and faint lightness from the apple. It takes months to mature so be warned. It takes about 3-6 months to smell its best. I love this now. potent performer, stays all day sillage above average/strong I bought this two years ago and wasn't sure i liked it or not, i kept it a while but ended up rejecting it but regretted it so i recently got another bottle as it was discounted. At my first attempt i was testing Maahir Black and Encre Noir at the same time and the scents got confused in my mind as they were sprayed on the same fabric....they were all very similar at first. As time has gone by after maturing, they're VERY different. In a dark resin way, they have a smilar ghostly density and darkness. They have a wholehearted dark vibe, a strength of conviction and a unique smoky and heavy herbal base. This feels Interesting and very middle eastern to my nose. Kind of like Encre Noir middle eastern style. I guess lovers of deep moody scents like Encre Noir and Maahir Black will dig Al Areeq Silver, its got some gothic gangster vampire grunge to it. I like it, but it won't be for everyone for sure, its deep and moody and pretty rude 8/10 for me

I loved this perfume from the first spray!! I was looking for something like this for a very long time!! If you live or ever lived in Arabian gulf area you will appreciate this type of scent!! "The Mubkhar" shape on the bottle gives you a clue of how this perfume smells!! It smells like a manly quality incense that you would usually smell on an elegant sheikh!! I bought this for the last Eid to complete my local Saudi outfit and it was just perfect!! At least that's how I felt! When you really like a fragrance you are not waiting for complements!! Because you just feel good and confident! After 12 hours I can still smell the perfume on my clothes which is great! I mostly get the notes of cardamom, tobacco, cypress, oud and leather and I think this mix is what's creating the smell of luxurious arabic incense!! And I get a little of apple in the opening which gives this fresh feel and a little bit of vanilla in the dry down, to me this is a work of art!! Very exciting scent but not for everyone! My wife likes the opening but in the dry down she tells me every time that she smells a tobacco in me which is something I like.. Because I enjoy masculine fragrances, this is for 40+ men not for younger guys and definitely not for women don't you dare to try it!! I'm a guy who appreciates fragrances like Aramis and Dior fehrenhite!! Just to give you an idea of how this fragrance is manly, daring and sophisticated!! Enjoy 😉

This is a challenging scent and not for beginners. The opening is smokey and the smell of burning rubber. But once that's gone you're left with leather, tobacco, smoke, some incense & some woods. The vanilla & sweetness is there but in the background. Longevity is about 7-8 hours and sillage is about 6'. Make no mistake: This is a strong, masculine scent and not for the faint at heart. Definitely best suited for the late fall - winter - early spring if you live in the northern part of the USA. You can wear it in a casual setting but also in a more formal setting as long as you don't over spray and not on clothes. Update: After wearing this on 4 different occasions, I have to say that this is one awesome scent. After the dry down you get tobacco, leather and some slight smoke & incense along with vanilla. As time goes by the vanilla becomes a little more prominent along with some woody accord. I'm no expert on ME scents, but this screams ME in my opinion. And the best part is that it's unique. It's not inspired by anything to my knowledge. Lattafa did a great job. For $25, it's an absolute no brainer. Beast mode as well. Projects for a good 4-5 hours and as it lasts on the skin easily over 8 hours. Update - 9/17/2024: I'm wearing Amouage Epic Man today and it has a similar DNA. Think of Al-Areeq-Silver without the leather & vanilla. That's Epic Man.

I just received this yesterday and wanted to leave a quick first impression. It's not as dark as I thought it would be according to previous reviews. One even mentioned this was to leather like Encre Noire is the vetiver...I wouldn't go that far. Yes, it is smoky, but like an incense burning from a distance. A bit gasoline-like :-D. The leather is pure opulence! It smells like a store full of leather goods. Today will be the first full wearing. Sprayed on at 6am and 3.5 hours later, still projecting very well. Looking forward to see the longevity from an immatured bottle. So far, I'm not getting the apple, but I am getting some sweetness. I do get some cardamom. Not really getting tobacco yet, but this came out yesterday when I put it on strip...not on skin though. So, if this is how this fragrance smells fresh out the bottle, I'm very excited about what it will smell like a month from now. This is already projecting very well and seems like the longevity will also be very good off top. Maybe some of those other notes will start filtering in as time goes by. For the price and for leather lovers, you owe it to yourself to at least sample. Last thing, it smells like a 1st cousin to Fragrance World's Spectre, which is supposed to be cloning Falcon Leather from Matière Premiere...dark leather, smoke, gasoline, and birch tar heaven!

Was very interested in trying this one, the note breakdown and reviews suggest it is hyper masculine and challenging. Personally I didn’t find it challenging but I see why people are describing this as hyper masculine - it’s an absolute powerhouse; rough and raw, very bold, bordering on harsh, with amped up traditionally masculine notes of tobacco, leather, spices and woods, plus some strong oud. Wow! This isn’t for metrosexual youngsters with their sweet gourmands, it’s the opposite of all that, very macho and mature. Not sure if I’m man enough to pull this off and enjoy wearing it! 😆 This is ideally suited to a rugged outdoorsman with muscles, a moustache and a hairy chest 😂. I love it though, would be very sexy on the right guy, but sadly I’m pretty sure that’s not me.

What an underrated Masculine masterpiece of art. The Green Apples open up fresh, and the Lavender give them a sharp fragrant edge, with a bit of a dark undertone from the Cardamom. Transmits into a heavy darker righteous monster with the Tobacco pushing the Oud out, which is a beautifully made clean-heavy Oud. The Jasmine, Vanilla and Musk round up and make this monster a righteous one, one that stands on the side of good. Then the Leather starts jumping forward, holding all the notes together, like they were all scrubbed on it and uniting them into this beautiful dark Green and Brown gem. Elegant and daring. Not for the faint of heart. Suitable for office, general outings, date nights or just a cosy night at home with your lady.. Best Lattafa on the market. 10/10

I can't understand why this beauty seems to get all this hate on here :( I absolutely love this fragrance!! I see the comparison to Black Incense malaki and definitely get the "band aid" like note from Gucci Guilty Absolute which I personally love. This lasts forever but doesn't project as much and that's a good thing because this is something you wear for yourself and may not solicit too many compliments. Best worn on a cold winter night over a sexy leather jacket and you're a man about town.. surprisingly the apple comes through a lot more on a woman but barely shows up on me.. on the whole it's a lovely fragrance and the fact that it is so polarising makes me love it more!!

Al Areeq Silver: The first time I sprayed this on(last night around 11pm) my first impression was that it is "VERY" similar to North Stag Hypnotic Oud Quinze. Overall it has the same profile with the notable differences that AAS initially has a burning coals/gunpowder thread running through it and has a milder, more pleasant approach. There's really not much more I can add other than I could still smell it wafting around this morning at 10am when I came home from work, so a solid 11 hours. It's a mild projector but steady at probably around a 1 foot or less bubble. It's interesting and one that I will wear from time to time

Deep, dark, leathery, and challenging. Even prior to maturing and leveling out I knew this was a good one. Now that I've pulled Al Areeq Silver back out for the winter months ahead, it has come into its own. The leather and cardamom meld into a creamy softness, and the tobacco, cypress, and oud provide a sharp, dry, masculine base. If you sprayed this at the Amouage counter you wouldn't consider it out of place even a little bit. Al Areeq Silver is the kind of hidden gem that makes this silly game so much fun. It's blended as well as frags that sell for literally 20x the price, and smells better than quite a few.

Smells incredible well at the opening and middle... dry down is not the best which is a shame for me cuz it is almost a 10/10 Great leather accord, IMO better than Tom Fords cuz even though I was hook with Ombre Leather at first I didn't like smelling like a bag or a car IYKWIM. This leather is strong testosterone not sissy stuff. Still expensive sophisticated smelling. You can detect the tabaco but not like in MM Jazz Club photo realistic fume, is more creamy. There's apple and green notes too. Dry down turns a little too apple for me but still good. As right now one of my fav for sure.

Awesome. A favourite Lattafa of mine. This is a leather scent with support from incense, woods, tobacco, and apple notes. The apple lends sweetness to the leathery and smoky woods as well as a touch of freshness. This smells great on skin and lasts the day on clothing. Good for cool weather casual to formal wear. It's too heavy for my wife. She said I smell like I was standing around a bonfire. I wear this for me. If I had to compare it to familiar fragrances I own, I could describe it as someone pouring my boss bottled oud on my Gucci absolute. All amazing

This fragrance is very masculine. Same family as Tom Ford's Oud Wood. Spicy, Oudi but also added some green notes, which makes it smells like forest. It's also quite incense and leathery. Which is interesting. Overall it's quite smooth, relax and pleasant. Updated on Oct 6th, 2024 : Actually this fragrance's drydown, that spicy Oudi reminds of me of "The Voice of Snake" from Gucci, identical drydown. Which I really love about.

An excellent concentrate of leather, tobacco and wood. Exclusively for gentlemen 45+. The low rating of 3.85 absolutely does not correspond the reality of the perfume. I think that this is a reaction from a younger audience of perfume lovers, and in this case it is misleading. My personal rating is ~4.3.

My favourite Lattafa. This smells amazing. If you are a leather, tobacco , woody accord lover then this is a must! Dry, masculine, with no hint of sweetness. Rugged and dark whilst being aesthetic and addictive at the same time. An absolute win and underrated!

Well blended. Oud, musky, a bit dark. I don't pick up on any of the flowery notes mentioned, but maybe those are used to round it out. It's definitely a very unique one in my collection. Smells very niche. Musty dressed up, powerful scent. A mysterious scent.

Maybe one of the best leather fragrance I've ever smell. Apple, leather, cigarette juice with chocolatey oud dry down. Oh man, this is amazing creation. Really bold, masculine, yet so poise like Bob Dylan's leather jacket

From the outset, Al Areeq Silver conjures images of a rugged, chopper-riding motorcyclist cruising along misty mountain roads — there's an untamed edge to this scent full of attitude. The opening unfolds with a sweet-tart apple blended with herbal lavender, offering a surprisingly fresh introduction. There's a subtle hint of my favorite rubbery tone at the start, though not as intense as some reviewers suggest. However, this quickly gives way to a blend of tobacco-infused oud and cypress, bearing a strong resemblance to Encre Noire. The drydown delivers a deep, leathery intensity with a raw, animalic edge, softened by the faintest trace of vanilla. The bottle itself showcases a classic Arabian bakhoor design, perfectly echoing the scent's profile — a rich, woody-oudy composition with resinous and oily undertones. Longevity is acceptable, but the projection is quite limited, to say the least. I must take a full breath to catch more than a faint aura — the fragrance's biggest drawback, but in a way, this adds a sense of intimacy. This is an ultra-masculine scent, far from a crowd-pleaser. It's best suited for mature men and cooler seasons, and definitely not a blind-buy at full price. I waited a long time for a good deal on auction sites, as it was clear from the beginning that this scent isn't for everyone — not ideal as a blind purchase by any stretch. I’m kind of happy that this is not a mass pleasing scent and I happened to like a lot so far at my first whole wearing. I’m a heavy sprayer (about 25 to 30 sprays on entire upper body, neck and both sides of both arms) and I’m wrapped in this heavenly herbaceous, fresh, woody and leathery cloud right now. (I don't go into a tight public space so not to worry fellas! LOL) And this should be clearly forever lasting after my spray routine. Not a huge projector however, I think but I don’t care, as long as I can keep smelling myself all day with this wonderful aroma. Masculine, sophisticated, fresh and dense at the same time. I’m very pleased to blind buy this hidden gem. 4.5/5

Nose Note #734 The opening smells like unwashed earthy carrots. In short it's just a wonderful and unique leather scent. You have to enjoy leather or oud to like this. It's very very strong and not easy to wear. You have to find a special occasion + not many people will appreciate the scent unless you are a +45yrs man. This can wonderfully underline high status. Smells very expensive. The ratings are low because the leather note is generally challenging to most. This is nutty leather, tobacco is not super prominent. 7.5/10, top notch leather scent on the level with Ombre Leather

Al Areeq Silver is a beast! The leather is prominent from start to finish, which I love. It's definitely a bold and masculine scent, perfect for cooler weather. Longevity is amazing, it lasted all day on my skin.

Al Areeq Silver opens up with cardamom and lavender at least that’s what I get initially. A few minutes later, cypress starts to appear, along with a minimal touch of jasmine that’s almost nonexistent. Personally, I think the jasmine here only serves to round out the fragrance so the notes aren’t as sharp as they are in the opening. Afterwards, I get this apple note mixed with tobacco. I’m not a fan of the apple here because, combined with the lavender, cypress, jasmine, and cardamom, the perfume comes across as overly aromatic and green in a way that reminds me of some sort of herbal medicine. The oud isn’t dominant it stays far in the background and blends with the sandalwood, which creates a woody vibe layered with green aromatics. What really stands out to me is the leather. I actually like the leather here it’s an old, raw, and bold leather, almost borderline aggressive, not the overly polished type which is good. There’s also musk, but I’m not a fan of it in this composition. I generally love musk but this musk isn’t enough animalic for my taste, which is a bit of a letdown. Overall, it’s a nice perfume considering the price, but it’s not my cup of tea due to the apple note, the weak oud, and the overly clean musk. It also lacks the intensity and animalics I usually look for. Some people mention there’s smoke in this fragrance, but honestly, I don’t get any smoke at all. This isn’t a heavy hitter. It leans masculine, but it’s just not strong enough for me. There are other perfumes that come to mind, but I won’t compare them here due to the price difference. Still, for around 30 dollars, it’s an amazing deal. In the end, if you like it and you wear it, that’s what matters most.

Nothing unique about the scent, it is Leather, Oud, a bit of vanilla mixed with woods. Challenging? I don't think so due to its weak sillage, it is long lasting, but not a good projector. You spray it on clothes and neck(8 sprays) for the first time ever, ( this is what I did), I could barely smell it, the only thing I got was about 3 hours later and it only was the woods and vanilla.

At a glance Areeq Silver smells soapy and leather. To make it simpler it's Blue Fragrance Leather version. I love medicinal, herbal, aromatic fragrance. Yes it has that vibes in the opening and after it becomes more soapy in the dry down. The rubbery effect might comes from that herbal, medicinal notes. But for me it doesn't that pronounced. The leather have prominent place from opening to the middle. And after it's slowly sets back and turns into soapy scent with hint of leather. But sadly the soap smells synthetic for me; Linear, cheap, and boring at the same time. I don't smell any apple, fruits or any flowers. This is more a Blue Fragrance rather than a Fougere or Chypre fragrance. Compared to other Middle Eastern leather theme: - Absolute Homme: is a more resinous leather. - Spectre: is a more dried fruit, oud / incense, leather. - Cuir Leather: is a more white flower amber, leather. Different fragrance house, different leather blend. To my nose they are different apart. For me, I'm not into Blue Fragrance. That's the only downside for me. In term of uniqueness; well I guess it's not. Everyone use soap, everybody smells fresh and soapy; I don't know how can this perfume find it's uniqueness. It is not. Uniqueness 2/5 (soap scent) Blend 2/5 (linear) Quality 3/5 (synthetic soap but powerhouse)

For the first time ever, I had to scrub off a scent as I could not bear it even for 5 minutes. Holy shit, this is so repulsive for me, smells like burning rubber or skanky leather, take your pick. Maybe my nose is too undeveloped for this kind of stuff but it is not my cup of tea for sure. Thankfully it is just a sample that I can throw away. If you are interested, must sample before buy!

For some reason this smells just like my bottle of Thailand Oud in Cairo Paris Corner which was so bad I just binned it. Maybe they were both spoiled bottles. IDK. For me, they just smelled like poorly blended messes. Maybe it's because of poorer quality assurance that means bad batches happen more commonly with these dupe houses? :(

I can feel some similarities with Chopard Black Incense malaki which is my signature scent. But There is something in this perfume (may be burning rubber smell) which I couldn't tolerate. This was a big failure for me as a blind buy. if you want to challenge your-self then go with it.

I belive those positive comment are made by the company itself. There is no way somone will enjoy this fragrance... I collect parfums for many years and If you want to smell like petroleum mixed with burning rubber. Than that's the one...

I took a risk and blind bought this. The reviews are very polarizing with a general consensus that this is a very challenging, mature and sophisticated fragrance best suited for more experienced noses. It sells for a very affordable price, so it's not that risky of a blind buy, but I'd still rather not accumulate fragrances that I won't enjoy. It just arrived in the mail today, and luckily, I absolutely love it. I agree that this is a very challenging and mature fragrance, probably the most challenging and mature fragrance in my entire collection. Grey hairs are pretty much a requirement to pull this off, luckily I have many. As my collection grows, I really appreciate acquisitions like this that are unique and stand out with no redundancy, so long as I love the fragrance as I do here. Although it's not a redundant pickup, it reminds me of 3 fragrances I own; Bvlgari Onekh (similar oud and leather accord), Bvlgari Falkar (similar oud and black musk) and Gucci Guilty Absolute (similar leather and wood accords). What I get with Al Areeq Silver is primarily a dirty and animalic leather accord, a very realistic and unapologetic pipe tobacco, and a super bold black musk. Also present is the warm and spicy cardamom, some woods and some earthy/aromatic cypress and lavender. The cardamom, woods and aromatics are just in support, but it's primarily the leather, tobacco and black musk, and all 3 are super bold and challenging. The black musk is really prominent, it reminds me of the black musk in Falkar, and black musk is much more challenging and animalic compared to white musk. Performance is very good on this. Longevity lasts all day, and it projects a lot with a heavy sillage. The bold and daring usage of notes also creates a very distinctive scent that's hard to go noseblind to. If you want to challenge yourself and see how far you've come on your fragrance journey, pick this up for cheap and see if you like it.

I blind bought this right at the beginning of my Fragrance journey, and it was too challenging for me. A year later, and my tastes have changed - I enjoy the medicinal, animalic nature of this one now. It's heavy duty leather and oud, a little sweet up top, some musk and lavender. I get the cypress for sure, and some cardamom - but I don't pick up on the Tobacco. It's not easy wearing, or office safe, or blind buy safe. If I'm any indication, maybe not the best if you're brand new to the hobby. But man, I'm glad I didn't give it away. It's not a clone of Gucci guilty absolute, but I think if you like that one, you'll like this one. Smells high quality

Got this for free as part of a bulk buy. Absolutely hated it on first spray. I could not understand how any one could wear this. Smelt toxic, like burning rubber, gave me a headache and I had a shower trying to scrub it off myself. I threw it on the shelf for 2 weeks. Just sprayed it again out of curiosity and it's completely changed, I can now smell the apple and tobacco, the leather is taking more of a back seat and the burning rubber has almost gone. I thought maceration/maturation was a myth. I may have just been converted. I'm still not sure id buy this, but I have amazed how much it has changed in just 2 weeks

Fantastic quality and scent profile. This is one of the best lattafa in terms of quality. Buy this is you like the scent profile based on the notes. IMO, this is one of the only lattafa where i can smell majority of the notes listed in here. I also have black incense malaki and beleive me its an exact clone. The only major difference is that the OG smells more high quality but no one can differentiate this in the air or on clothes. Absolute must have in your collection if you like complex scent profiles.

Hello everyone. I’ve been reading reviews about this one. I noticed everyone is complaining about the smell, except for a few people . This is a beautiful fragrance however, it takes about 1015 minutes for it to get to the beautiful smell . This one is for mature, noses and by mature noses. I don’t mean age. This one is a cross between Chopard and spirit of Dubai Meydan which is also challenging in the first 15 to 20 minutes. However, if you let it sit and develop becomes a beautiful leather fragrance.

I bought a 20ml sample of this as a blind buy, when I received it I sprayed it on the box and woah! I don't know how to explain it but it was LOUD and I'm not saying it was bad but seemed muddled, went back to work and look this stuff is ETERNAL- 3days my house smelled like that and on the 3rd day the scent transformed into something absolutely AMAZING and smooth. One of the most wonderful fragrances I have ever smelled. I still have the sample just waiting for it to macerate fully.

A bit of a hidden gem if you ask me. The level of this shit for $30? Forget about it. There's a musky dirty leather, with some dirty tobacco, and dirty jasmine. A drop of oud and incense. Sweetened up with a touch of lavender and apple. Again, I ask, I don't see how you can do better than this for $30. As always, it will need to sit and mature for maybe longer than you want it to. To the Lattafa deniers, forgive them my Lord, they know not of what they speak.

Smells like old shoes, toes and cheese that were all smoked in the BBQ do not blind buy usually I enjoy dark oud leather fragrances but this barnyard catastrophe is absolutely not worth it even for the cheap price but props to the performance cause this last forever on skin with this longevity you get to smell like your uncle's old worn out leather sandle for days. Edit: its starting to grow on me not as bad as I first sprayed

Great leather scent if you're into those sorts. Does remind me a bit of Black Incense Malaki, but less smoke and more tobacco. All the bottles I've bought from the pride line have been killers. Really good quality stuff, and all between $25-$35. They also have samples out for most of them on eBay.

Top- cardamom and pencil shaving Middle- gasoline soaked synthetic leather, oud Base-cyprus, sandalwood,smoke If there's any tobacco it's like European tobacco like bali shag. It's not so great glad I only got. 20ml, I do love that lattafa makes that size.

Ordered Al Qiam Silver but Areeq Silver was delivered. I don't like it at all.
