Al Nashama Caprice

This review is pretty much the same as my review for Riiffs Fareed as they are so similar in quality and scent profile, I'd struggle to choose between them! I'm astounded that a fragrance at this price not only competes with a classic like the now discontinued LNDH Bleu electrique but surpasses it. Many inspirational scents fall short but occasionally something comes along that is astounding. For around £30 GBP you get a classic that performs way beyond it has any right to! It projects at way over arms length for a good few hours and remaining easily noticeable, but slightly closer for the same again. The sillage is very good and people will take notice without any respiratory issues. Again, it's a classic for a reason. Timeless and distinguished. As per the original it's a male dominant scent, hence the name of the YSL offering. But hey, these days you can pretty much wear what ever floats your boat! Wear in almost any situation and whatever season it happens to be. This product will do it all. Probably for the more level headed, civilised type of individual but if you enjoy quality and class why not give it a go, whatever your age! The fresh, blue tinge to this may well draw in a younger crowd. The actual scent is so incredibly well blended that it truly belies it's price. The notes listed are all fairly distinguishable singularly and combine beautifully as a whole. This juice is just a little bit more lively all around over the original, hence why it offers offers the much welcomed increase in performance. Someone seems to have asked themselves how they could keep the essence of the original but improve it in just about every area.....they succeeded spectacularly. Now, you'd think it's lucky to find one decent clone of a classic but stone me, I managed to stumble across two together! If you like the sound of this but would prefer something without the added notes of Lavender and mint then you really need to try Fareed by Riiffs. It has all of the quality and performance of this Lattafa offering but sticks more closely to the original NLDH, another true classic that absolutely oozes refinement in my view. Either are just excellent, offering strength and performance quite a bit better than the perfumes they copy without losing the identity of the originals. Honestly, I'm more a fan of classic Barbershop, Fougere and chypre style of fragrance but these are an excellent alternative when I fancy something different.

Oh man, I knew it was a very high value hidden gem when I wore it half a year after maturation. I hoped that people would not talk about it because it was so freaking special! Even though this is completely irrational because there are almost 8 billion people on earth but I still wanted to be the only one smelling like this. For the ones disliking it on the first spray: please let it mature first. This fragrance especially needed a very long time to develop, and trust me, it has so much potential to become one of your all time favourites. Fast forward 6 months of maturation, I gave it another try because I had nothing else I wanted to wear that day. Second spray in I got this deep, iris-like, lipsticky goodness with the main DNA of LNDL. And first time in my whole journey I really audibly said: whoa! Because this fragrance just does something with your senses and emotions. Just feeling wise it navigates between somewhere you don't really like and somewhere you just love and adore. At the same time it is so artsy that you appreciate the perfumers work behind it and wonder how heshe did it. Al Nashama Caprice just makes you caving for more. That feeling I described resonated with other people when I went outside. I was standing on a red light. People were turning heads, two girls took deep breaths and I knew I wasn't the only one who liked it. This went on for the rest of the night, people were taking deep breaths left and right, but the situation standing at the red light I remember the best. I have to say, that until today I did not wear it often. Not because I don't like it but because I wanted it to be a special scent for me (I get bored easily when wearing the same fragrance too often). So there you have it, now it's quite popular anyway. Now I have said what I would have said if I didn't want to gatekeep this fragrance. Until today I wonder how the OG would have smelled like and why the f**** YSL discontinued that one.

I heard about this fragrance as I was on a buying frenzy and I also noted the discontinued LNDLBE original that I hadn't had the pleasure of experiencing. I've had this Al Nashama Caprice for about 5 months and wondered what all of the stories were about as I didn't get the hype about it and having not smelled the original I didn't have a comparison. It was on the shelf with its cheap plastic cover along with others and I had the odd spray every now and again to see if anything dynamic happened and although I enjoyed the fragrance it really didn't light any fires to my nose. Anyway, in a quiet evening in my house I decided to try it on my hand along with others on other areas. Nothing particularly amazing happened on that hand so I thought it hadn't changed and because i had others on me I kept going back to them to enjoy the sniffs. Then an hour or so later I poured myself a drink and I wondered what the scent on my left hand was as it was one that was really good. I had forgotten the scent I sprayed as I had around 8 on me at the time in different areas, but I realised it was this one. Al Nashama Caprice. It is absolutely fantastic. It took some time apparently but now I know why people rate it so highly. It is very very much on the drydown. I guess all things come to those who wait after all. There is no better dupe than a dupe that brings a discontinued fragrance back to life.

I've had this stuff for the better part of 7-8 months, I gave it a pretty good review back then, but to me it seemed as though something was lacking in it. It had that LNDLH dna pretty good, enough to where it felt like a slightly better perfoming version than I remember my sample of LNDLH having. I also got big comparisons to Khamrah with an added freshness to it, and so it just felt redundant in my little collection. Probably sprayed it all of 20 times, worn it a couple of times out. Zoom forward to now. I HATE sounding cliche, and maybe I'm just being fooled by nose, but I came back to this sniffing around in my collection as I and I'm sure most of us do, and I remembered that it had been a while since sampling this, and oh man, the performance side is still pretty average, not huge, but it'll get you through a workday, but the scent is SO MUCH BETTER. I hate saying that, because most of the clones I've bought, have been mistakes, never getting much better if it all with maturation. This finally seems like it doesn't smell like Khamrah to me at all, and it has to me the LNDLH dna all over it, but as weird as it sounds, with like a touch of the OG Le Male.

One of the only times the Dumb Lattafa Twist® actually paid off. Based on the legendary Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit de l'Homme Bleu Electriqué, but with and amber twist and a hint of cinnamon. This one was earth shattering in the fragcom when first released, carried a ridiculous score in here of 4.60+ for the first 5 months it was out. Two years later, the smoke has cleared and it sits at a 4.23 which I think is a little low for what you get. So what do you get? You get what I like to think of as a modernized take on La Nuit de l'Homme with some hints of Bleu Electriqué. The classic DNA is there and everything is bolstered and stronger, an added cinnamon note in the middle (not listed in here but I'm other sites and I definitely smell it) and a very nice amber base. I do not get any mint. This is sweeter and more powdery than the original. The blending is very good (especially considering this is Lattafa), and the performance is great. I own some vintage 2011 La Nuit, Bleu Electriqué, La Nuit EDP, Frozen Cologne, and I used to have Le Parfum. They all bore me, but I still enjoy Al Nashama Caprice.

Update: 6 Months Maturation *I faintly remember when I first sprayed it it was giving a hefty alcohol kick for the first 2 min. That is gone for me. *It has improved in terms of smell. *Usage was okay for warm weather now it's stronger, sweeter (resin like) and darker but with much better smoothness. *The lavander has matured nicely and blended with the base creating a sweet dark lavander smell. *Strength has increased noticeably. Reminds me of Valentino BIR coral fantasy. Base is similar and sweetness is similar vibe wise. One is apple tobacco the other is lavander tobacco. FYI the Valentino is more subtle and safe. This can be a bit overbearing with the lavander accord for some noses. Lovely in the air, Harder to like when its clinging to you in the heat. Best for colder days and weather. Occasions: I wouldn't believe this is a cheapy based on smell alone. Gives me distant penhaligon vibes. More mature smelling for sure. Date, formal occasion and casual for winter and spring outings.

Al Nashama Caprice: Citrus, Spice, and Zero Walmart Vibes Al Nashama Caprice by Lattafa opens with a citrus-spice punch that feels fresh, lively, and immediately grabs my attention. I love how it transitions into smooth lavender and amber, giving it this soft, powdery sophistication that feels more expensive than it is. The touch of cardamom spice keeps it masculine, while the mint and geranium round everything out, adding a crisp and slightly floral vibe that really completes the scent. Overall, this fragrance strikes me as warm, sexy, and confident—definitely not something I’d wear to wander Walmart in sweatpants. It’s perfect for dates, dinners, brunches, or even the office if I’m careful with the sprayer. I’ve been testing it from a 5ml decant and love it so much that I’ll be grabbing the full bottle for my collection. If you like Versace Eros Flame or Lattafa Vintage Radio, I think you’ll really enjoy Al Nashama Caprice too. I rate it a solid 8/10, maybe even a 9.

Nice, aromatic but sweet scent, with some slight hints of spices. For me neither the geranium, the mint or the lavender come through. Also its quite linear, doesn't change much from first spraying it to the drydown - except for becoming sweeter and less spicy / aromatic. Tried it on for clubbing last weekend - a girl came up to me at around 5:30 in the morning, right before I went home and told me that she could smell the perfume from 2 meters away! She liked the scent, but also told me that it was to much perfume for her. So be careful not to overspray, especially since the sweetness probably is cloying for some people! I dont wear perfume to get compliments, rather for myself. quite nice value for the price, especially since I haven't found anything else yet thats dupe or designer that smells similar. 7/10 for good performance but its not something I would wear a lot, plus the sweetness makes it unisex for me, not very masculine.

I'm sick :^( but wanna share so I keep it short :^, This is one of the greatest clone fragrances of all time, and especially in terms of bang per buck. It's a nuclear lavender and cardamom bomb, and nobody should be complaining about the performance on this one. I feel like it is somewhere between normal la nuit and bleu electrique once it's had a minute to dry down. I would buy like 6 bottles of this immediately if you like bleu electrique, and for anyone not familiar with la Nuit, this is the perfect blind buy for 25 bucks. It is so similar to bleu electrique, that I can't even give you a percentage similarity. It's basically dead on, and you definitely can't go wrong. Insane that they came out with something like this. Not an exaggeration to call this a 10/10 and one of the greatest fragrances ever made. The performance is so good that I hesitate to wear it to the office. Probably spray about 30 minutes before walking in.

I usually sell my dupes, end up regretting them, and have remorse for my bad decisions simply because I wanted to minimize my possessions. I regretted selling my Detour Noir ever since I bought Layton, it IS 1:1. and Yes you heard it is 1 TO 1, top to dry down. This is another prime example of Lattafa clone wars, some hit and some are miss. But Al Nashama Caprice is still being kept pretty lowkey in the community, I can assure you. THIS IS LITERALLY THE SAME BUT LASTS 3HRS+ LONGER THAN BLEU ELECTRIQUE. This fragrance blows my mind with how great clones can be and how much further advanced they can create it, if you can mind the ugly bottle design (could indicate Arabian architecture?) but honestly. This is the SAME. 10/10 Best clone I've ever tried.

Bought this hoping to have something close to the original la nuit de l homme, since its the best thing I've ever smelled. Thankfully its really close. The opening on this is amazing and smells exaclty how I remember la nuit smelling. Sadly this enchanting fresh smell dies down after a few minutes leaving a still very nice smelling warm drydown. If you like la nuit de l homme you will like this. If only it was more linear/kept the opening longer this would be 10/10. Not sure about longevity yet might need to stay a bit. Update: After getting used to it I find the drydown really heavy smelling. I oversprayed once (like 4-6) and my mom got annoyed by the smell from the next room over after I left the house. Opening >> drydown on this one which is kinda sad since the drydown lasts the majority of the time.

When I first sprayed it, smelled like a generic cheap ah perfume that you can get for 8$. Was so disappointed, especially as I love YSL's LNDL and bleu electrique . PROs: Then I let it macerate for about 3-4weeks. And wow, it was a TOTALLY DIFFERENT perfume. Then for me it smelled a bit aromatic with that baby powder like sweetness (it's REALLY good). A pleasant sexy smell that you can wear year round and also gets you a bunch of compliments. CONS: But the performance for me rn isn't even good. Lasts for around 3-4 hours on my clothes so that's not good, especially since it performs awful on my skin. (on my skin I get just like an hour max) Now it has been more than 2 months of maceration and the performance still sucks. If not for it's awful performance🥲 this would definitely be my signature scent.

This is a beautiful fragrance for men that opens up with a small dose of citrus accompanied by the powdery cardamom. It's almost a barbershop-y smell but more sophisticated and rich, just a bit dated. Soon after the top, the lavender kicks in along with the mint which tones down the spicy cardamom and adds a cooler vibe, around this time is when the projection also dies down to a smaller scent bubble. Now in the base is when it gets even better, this is once it develops into a sexy, creamy and woody scent which comes off very 'gentleman'. All in all, this fragrance is amazing and it is my new signature as it is very versatile. I can't speak on how good it does at cloning Bleu Electrique but it does have a similar cardamom to La Nuit de'Lhomme. It's amazingly cheap for what you get, buy this!

This one stopped me in my tracks. It's the YSL DNA but it has something else, although I haven't smelled the specific dupe so it's possible that is the unique note it replicates. Either way, this fragrance is a powerhouse. It lasts for hours, pretty strongly I might add, and is definitely a "your sweat but better" type of scent in the sense that it covers a multitude of sins on a hot day. I got many compliments on this even when I had been out and about for many hours. This is the first fragrance I have left a review on but for good reason. This is a must for a casual wearer who wants something somewhat unique but bulletproof and middling in terms of sillage. Outperforms my Hermès fragrances for 1/5 of the price. I am very impressed.

This is my signature scent and i've been wearing this for a while now. Requires maceration. Opening, you get a citrus blast that lasts around 30 seconds, then it has this baby wipe/rubbery smell, for about 15/20 mins. But when it dries down, it is heavenly. Incredibly seductive scent, it smells rich, sweet and creamy to me. This scent has gotten me the most compliments of all my collection. And the performance is incredible, i get a good 10 hours from this, great sillage too. It's a shame that the blend is so bad. Like many clones, you get a muddy opening, but this scent gets better over time. If Lattafa perfected the blend, this would be one of the best fragrances ever.

This fragrance was something I truly regretted buying at first. I honestly hated how it smelled when I first got it. However, a lot of people in the fragrance community kept saying that this one needs a lot of maceration.After almost 8 to 10 months, it finally bloomed into its true beauty. Man, this fragrance is now absolutely beautiful. It feels unique, sexy, and very seductive, completely different from how it started. It’s totally worth the money. Longevity, performance, and overall quality are all excellent. Everything about this fragrance feels perfect. That said, you definitely need patience with this one, but if you give it time, the payoff is more than worth it.

This is a fantastic twist on the Bleu Electrique DNA. It's not a direct copy, if that's what you are looking for, go with Grandeur Iconic Nuit Cerulean. This has a beautiful rich amber base and fantastic performance. This is better suited to the cold than the original BE. Lattafa did a great job on this, I usually hate when they try and put a twist in a clone because it's usually lacking or changed in an undesirable way, but this is great. I still think this is solid for the Spring, just go easy on the sprays. I would not wear this on a really hot day, although it could work for a summer night, again, just easy on the sprays.

Al Nashama Caprice opens with a paradox aggressive yet somehow gentle, like a confident stranger who knows when to soften. Do yourself a favor and let the bottle macerate for at least a month; the transformation is worth every day of patience. The dry down settles into something quieter but never disappears, with sillage that holds strong past the 4 hour mark. It's powdery, effortlessly unisex, and a certified compliment magnet as long as you resist the urge to overdo it. Best worn in spring on a casual walk, it's the kind of scent that lets you move through the world and through a crowd with quiet, unmistakable presence.

I let it sit and go through the maceration process for about 2 months before wearing it out. Honestly I purchased this scent because of the hype it picked up by many of the fragrance influencers on social media. I'm currently at the mid point of my work day and I'm really loving this scent. After reading the notes here on Fragrantica these are the ones that I agree with. It is warm and spicy, powdery and non-offensive. I think the powdery scent is from the lavender, amber and cardamom all working together. You can't go wrong with this one for the great price that it's at you're getting a great value.

I have not smelled bleu electrique but Caprice is a vast improvement over the original LNDL. Caprice lasts much longer and the scent is more interesting. The added mint, patchouli and amber make the mid and base much better than the original. I get 7 hours before becoming a skin scent. The original I am lucky to get 3 hours. I find the combo of cardamon, lavender, geranium and amber to be very pleasant and smooth. I see Caprice as very versatile for all seasons and reasons. Caprice is my new favorite that I have picked up recently and I think it will be my signature scent this year.
