Al Qiam Gold

Nose Note #816 Man oh man, this is beautiful. The first 2-3 minutes are not very nice at all, but the scent changes drastically into this beautiful leathery oud. It's like Ombre Leather and Oud Ispahan combined, but without the rose note, although here this raspberry is sort of rosey. Anyway, I think rose would fit perfectly in here, the OG mentions rose too. It's hard to describe if you've never come across strong leather and oud notes, because here you have the two together. Poopy, medicinal, rubbery all such words apply to this and similar scents to a degree. I have so long passed this opinion that I almost cannot understand how this can be considered not pleasant. This is very dark, very thick, kind of oily, reminding of something middle eastern. The raspberry or something berry-like is definately there, but I wish it was slightly more pronounced, which would make it more unisex. Otherwise I cannot really see a woman wearing this. It fits a man really well. It's a very mature fragrance, but not as mature as Interlude Man for example. You really have to like oud and middle eastern fragrances to enjoy it. I just crave stuff like Opulent Oud, Oud Mood, Rouat Al Oud, but my all time favourite is the Cuir InfraRouge DNA - Armaf Desert Night, King of Arabia, and especially Carnal Desire by French Avenue (the last one is my TOP 10). And the great thing is it's strong and performs like a $400 fragrance. 8.6/10, really good

beautiful, to my nose this is VERY similar to jean lowe noir but to me this is more rose forward and slightly less animalic. the scent is musky rose water like and a bit fruity with dry smoky woods and leather undertones and as it sits, it gets more woody. lasts 12 hours with nice projection in the first 5-6 hours on my skin. heavy high quality matte bottle and nice presentation, much better than some 600$ niche out there. this, jean lowe noir and l'oudh by alhamra are the endgame rose oud combo in my book period, regardless of your budget. l'oudh is more on the fecal barn like woody oud "accord" and al qiam/jean lowe noir are like musky feral and smoky dry woody oud "accord". Edit: lattafa did not respond to my email asking them the differences between this and jean lowe noir, and if the juice is the same or not; so I will "assume" the subtle differences are caused by batch variation and aging. I asked them if there is any real oud in them or not, guess what? no answers again. Pretty horrendous and atrocious costumer support if I'm being honest.

This is a very bold oud fragrance. The opening immediately delivers raspberry, geranium, and saffron, but there is a clear contrast between the opening and the dry-down. The start can be harsh and intense, leaning toward an animalic oud impression. For that reason, it is best applied at least an hour before going out to allow it to settle. The dry-down, however, is excellent—smooth, rich, and far more refined than the opening suggests. Once it reaches that stage, the fragrance truly shines. Best use: an open-air winter event, where its strength and character can breathe properly and leave a confident impression.

This is a twist on the Ombre Nomade DNA that I actually really like. Compared to The Woods Collection Royal Night, which is considered among the best Ombre Nomade clones, I find Al Qiam Gold to be more smokey and leathery with a more beginner-friendly oud base. It's perhaps not as expensive-smelling, but considering Royal Night is €45+ while this can be found for under €25, this is the better-value choice in my opinion. I've had no issues with longevity/projection like others have reported, this is a scent that makes a statement and lasts.

Super great clone of Ombre Nomade. Even one of my mates I'm in college with complimented it saying it smells a lot like Ombre Nomade before I even told him. It lasted a solid 8-10 hours. The projection at the 6-7 hour mark was still fabulous. Thats why my mate complimented it, because it was still projecting at that time. If you don't want to pay the mad price for Ombre Nomade, don't care about a brand name, and love the smell of Ombre Nomade, then you'd be silly not to get this...

Opens up exactly as the notes describe - blast of sweet raspberry and saffron. The leather, benzoin and oud then begin to creep in over the first hour. This fragrance changes over about the course of 4 hours on my skin. Good sillage for around 6 hours and then gradually gets closer to the skin over about the next 4-6 Sprayed this at 18:00 last night and woke up this morning still smelling it - Powerful stuff.

Very good-smelling fragrance. Smells just like the notes described. Something about it keeps making me want to smell it. It has a unique smell as opposed to many other fragrances. Some people may find the smell controversial, as some may think it has an older smell to it. I love the smell and think it is a powerful, and eternal-lasting fragrance. 8.7/10

Just purchased after coming across this at a mall perfume kiosk. Very masculine scent with leather and woody undertones. It seems very long lasting and rich. Very impressed with Lattafa Perfumes and definitely worth a try if you are looking for a cool weather scent in your collection!

I hate Tuscan Leather but man i love this! A great deep leather with a non aching / synthetic raspberry and saffron note! and this is all without letting it sit, loving it immediately after opening and if you know about Lattafa they’d only get better over time

I can't believe i spent so much on the og just to get the same thing exactly! Beautiful sexy masculine perfume.(its for my husband) To me it smells like lv nomad and Tom Ford umbre leather..they basically smell pretty much the same.Gorgeous!!!

Beautiful extremely masculine scent, but i can understand it could be too strong for some sensitive noses. Notes are harmonious and absolutely pull anyone into the massive trail it forms

Very nice fragrance. Very similar to LV ombre nomade, with very good performances, something Lattafa doesn't always achieve. Excellent value for money.

It's very similar to the dry down of Royal night by The woods collection. Except it has less depth and feels more artificial than Royal night.

It's considered a clone of Louis Vitton's Ombre Nomade. It's an intriguing and challenging fragrance for sure, a hybrid fruit and leather fragrance accented by light oud wood. It's a potent blend of fruity, leathery, woody, spicy, and musky notes. You'll get prominent notes of raspberry, leather, patchouli saffron and oud wood. The leather and oud are softened considerably by the sweet raspberry and saffron, making this much more wearable than other leather dominant fragrances. However, leather and oud can still be quite polarizing to some noses. This takes quite a bit of confidence and maturity to wear, and is very much an all or nothing proposition. As such, I would not recommend it for either women or younger male users or wearing it in warm weather. This is quite unique and will stand out one way or another. Recommended, but make sure that this is your kind of fragrance before buying.

If you know Lattafa Pride series you know that Gold means more feminine, Silver means more masculine. Yeah, with Al Qiam throw that out of the window. This is a very masculine fragrance to the point where I wouldn't even call it unisex. It opens with a very smoky saffrony leather and while the smokines mellows out into ambery-woody notes, the leather stays. Despite the raspberry notes it has very little sweetness, in fact out of all the Lattafas I own this is easily the dryest. It is definitely not a crowd-pleaser and absolutely not blind-buy safe, but that doesn't mean it is not a very good scent. This is for 45+ family men with strong character, it radiates firmness, steadfastness but also warmth. Exclusively for cold weather.

Smells like if LV released an Ombre Nomade lite edition. All the qualities of the original are there, but this is missing the opulence and richness the original has. Immediately, the oud and saffron are overpowering and slowly calm down to a smooth, leathery fragrance with raspberry notes. On my skin, this fragrance moves in waves. It's not bad, and if you like the OG, you'll maybe like this. As I said, there is a noticeable difference because of the quality of the ingredients, and you can easily tell how well blended the OG is in comparison. If you are itching for Ombre Nomade, this could be a good supplement, but you'll always be chasing the dragon of the oppulent OG.

I have this and the french avenue the shadow,comparison of these two qiam gold is a more leathery slightly oudy very raspberry prominent which i love ,the shadow is more complex,more middle eastern type of inky oud which dominates and is harder to wear,raspberry with rose.Honestly i prefer qiam gold ,more wearable oud and more longer lasting but strange the shadow is extrait but not beast mode at all.Hope it helped

The opening just smells of pure strong rubbery leather but in the dry down there’s raspberry mixed with the leather scent , which smells good. Not totally blind buy safe but you can find samples which is what I did. Last about 8 hours on skin and forever on clothes, I can still smell it after many washes. Overall 7/10

The quality of this scent is OUTSTANDING. Dark, Mysterious, Masculine, Niche DNA. The Oud is well done. This one and Jean lowe nouveau (maison al hambra) are almost the same scent, however, Al Qiam Gold lacks the boozy note in the opening.

I have no experience in the Louis Vuitton, but this is leather, oud and raspberry scent. Great for cooler weather and evening out. Masculine scent for sure. I like it.

Unisex perfume. An intense amber oud, slightly fruity. More suitable for fall and winter. It reminds me of Oud Baie Rose La Closerie des Parfums.

I got a 20ml decant of this scent a year ago and at the beginning, it was too mature for me but after a few wears I started feeling better about it until I loved it. It is a heavy scent, dark mysterious, not for everyone and perfect for cold nights. It opens with dominant raspberry note with hints of saffron and soft leather, and settles on a sweet oudy base. But the problem I faced is the performance, it’s very very weak lasting about an hour on my skin, the projection is about 30 minutes and becomes a skin scent. So I grabbed another decant hoping that the problem is in this specific patch but it was the same weakness, that’s why I changed my mind about getting the full bottle. It’s very disappointing bcz I really love the scent profile _._._._._._._._._._._._._._._._._._._._._._._._._._. Scent: 10/10 Performance: 2/10 Uniqueness: 8/10 Season: Winter-Night Versatility: 6/10

I own the OG and this. This is VERY similar, but a little less barnyardey in the opening, which is favorable. Both are still a little stinky for the first 30minutes to an hour though. I would spray these on at least an hour before you have to be somewhere or you risk initial impressions of poopy smell. The mid and dry down is where this drag shines. My biggest issue, aside from the opening, is when to wear this. It’s not a daily, casual frag and I don’t know if I want the level of presence that this imparts during a very formal event (wedding, black tie event) either. This, to me, is more of a “stay home on a cold evening and sip a manhattan in front of the fireplace” type of fragrance.

Este perfume es demasiado fuerte, sobresale mucho el cuero y el oud de una manera que puede ser demasiado repugnante para mi gusto si es en el dia a dia, se siente un poco, muy poco la frambuesa y el ambar. Sin embargo si lo veo super elegante e imponente pero para ocasiones especiales, si es asi si es 10/10 pero puro para ese tipo de ocaciones, nose porque pero aveces siento que cuando huelo este aroma estoy oliendo unas aceitunas.

Dislike at first sniff...BUT. after a few days its beginning to grow on me, although its Not overly harsh or synthetic. It is quite spicy, very warm with oud and leather and in your face perfume, albeit i only had it for a week or so. Does it get smoother after a while or? I got it £16 , so, its kinda blind buy worthy, although i recommend you sniff it first

Unfortunately, this one just isn’t for me. It reminds me of something an aunt over 60 would wear. That said, the performance is solid easily lasting 8+ hours and has great sillage. If you enjoy smelling like an aunt you might love it but personally, it’s not my style.

Great scent but does not last long. After opening blast becomes a more intimate scent. Shame

Sillage - For the duration of the fragrance the sillage is pretty good, I use about 4 sprays and with this that easily fills the room and it really projects and then soothes down and you can really pick up on the middle notes. Longevity - Unfortunately for me this fragrance lasts a very maximum of 4hrs and that’s being generous. Which is a real shame because the smell is fantastic. The bottle itself is really cool and if you can pick it up for under £20 I reckon it’s worth the purchase. The only thing telling me it isn’t good value and the longevity of faced with it personally.

The initial spray smells like walking into an incense shop, very aggressive very masculine. The leather comes out on the dry down and it becomes more tame. Overall 5/10.

This might be the worst thing that I have ever smelled in my life. My brother bought it, came to give it to me because he said he didn't care for it... I opened it up and smelled it on a test strip....whooooa! No Go. My wife hated it, I hate it, my brother couldn't get with it nor could his wife. We continued to let it dry down on the counter and it just stayed consistently terrible. One of the few bad lattafa's I've smelled.

This is shame in a bottle .. His little brother al qiam silver smells amazing but this one .. Cheap perfumers alcohol, ambroxin that smells like a mix of body odor and nail polish remover. Under there there is a scent hidden i think , maybe even a good one . Sadly i cant get past that cheap alcohol thing . Not recommended.

After acquiring it for more than a year now i still haven't made up my mind whether i like this frag or not...still sitting on the fence about it. It slightly reminds me of the smell of an old leather coin purse with coins in it & burnt rubber. I tested & sprayed Ombre Nomade on my wrist from an LV outlet store to compare it to AQM on my other wrist & it smells a lot smoother & wearable. It's the saffron accord of AQM that throws me off, I'm never a big fan of the metallic rusty iron oxide smell. The best version imho of this similar scent profile is Oud Maracuja it's just simply luscious & irresistible...without the iron oxide or burnt rubber. But for now this will have to do until i could afford to buy a bottle of MCOM. How it will develop on me in time with a few more wearings remains to be seen. Wish me luck...😉🤞🏻🍀🧲

I just got this today. It smells amazing and really high quality. I don't really pick up much leather though. To me, it's more in the realm of fragrances like Lattafa's Opulent Oud/Oud Mood and Lancome's Oud Bouquet/L'Autre Oud. It smells like a rose/oud fragrance. The oud is very prominent and it smells incredible. I definitely pick up the saffron, which does provide some leathery and earthy accords, but this is very much an oud dominant fragrance. The raspberry provides a nice sweetness and creates a nice balance. It has great performance too, very long lasting with good sillage. I love this fragrance.

I don’t know what it is but mine is sadly weak when it comes to projection😪 It’s only with you for about an hour? Then it slowly disappears, that’s very sad because the scent is beautiful.

In the opening it has an earthy smell. Then it dries and becomes pretty similar to Tom Ford Ombré Leather. But this is slightly fruitier, like it has a very soft orange.

Its a Jean Lowe Noir Maison Alhambra but with more non-sweet raspberry leather.
