I’m so glad I read the reviews about the opening! Thank you previous reviewers! 🫶Had I not I think I would have ran for the hills after throwing her through a glass window whilst calling a clergyman to enquire about an Exorcism! However, as so many of you said the dry down after a couple of minutes is where everything blends and the base notes come forth to soften the top notes, I am definitely smelling the rose, pepper, dark cherry, peony with the patchouli, sugar, caramel and vanilla doing a good job in support! I feel like you would need to spray this in a locked room about 30 minutes before you went out to achieve the stunning beauty of this seductive rose and dark cherry fragrance. This is not a Gourmand fragrance and is not blind buy safe, it reminds me a little of my journey with PC’s Wayward Charlie, so if you like stand out complex femme fatale, deep and spicy rose/cherry with, warmth and depth and your soul likes to take a trip to the dark side on occasion then give this a try, but please wait for the dry down, the dry down is addictive and you will not smell this fragrance on everyone. The longevity and sillage are very good too but don’t overspray and for me this is a skin spray only, it needs the warmth of skin I feel to bloom. A complex fragrance for a mere £11.95 on Amazon. The cap for my bottle (mfg 08/25) looks as though it had popped off in the factory and was kicked about before being put back, plus when it arrived there was a fair bit of perfume residue around the atomizer similar to how my AA Rouge bottle gets if the cap isn't put back on just so, so this gal had an adventure before being packaged and shipped off. But I'm not mad about it, because that gave this bottle air long before I unwrapped it. The result: I thankfully don't get that terrifying opening many people warn about. Straight away this is a luscious dark cherry and rose petal jam -- sweet, but not sickly sweet. The performance is strong and long-lived, definitely among my strongest. I do love a moody perfume, so this fits in with my Opera Noir (Black Opium dupe, depending on who you ask), Opulent Oud, and Bade'e al Oud Amethyst rather nicely. A safe blind-buy for me, but if you have any reservations regarding similar profiles, you may want to find a slightly aged decant to try first. This is not a fresh rose or medicinal cherry. This is deep and mature with a bit of bite from the pepper -- very femme fatale. In an air conditioned space with 2 sprays it isn't overwhelming, but in high heat and humidity I can see this one being a bit suffocating, so spray accordingly.

First impression; Give it 30 minutes....then....This! How?! Not a safe blind buy. Patchouli is not my favorite...but this is soooo good. I smell cedar too. This may become my summer signature. It is sophisticated and expensive its not heavy or cloying somehow either. How does Lattafa do this? The sexy sillage and longevity....I live! Ive never smelled whatever its a dupe of....and I don't care! Someone thought I was wearing Black Opium. 🙄 Honestly I don't smell rose, there is a hint of cherry in the dry down. Im going to mascerate for a month to appreciate the other notes. Edit: I couldnt wait...I love this stuff. I now get the rose. Im realizing I was looking for an old timey rose. This rose is refined. This scent is for the spicy resinous girl. 7/6/26 - I sampled Louboutin Rose Fetiche. It is a deeper jammy profile. I want it too! But I cant have both....seems a waste to have two scents in my wardrobe so similar. I love that I can wear Scarlet everyday if I want. Louboutin feels so precious, if that makes sense. Maybe I'll get the Louboutin Oud Fetiche (to die for) instead. Ain't nobody making an inspiration that will touch that!

“Omg, I love this! I thought it would be a dense fragrance, but it’s actually a bit airy and can be worn year-round. I just got it, and it’s stunning no need for maturation like other Lattafa scents. When I first sprayed it, it smelled familiar, and then it clicked, it reminds me of Mohra Silky Rose. Probably because of the rose, pink pepper, and patchouli combo , but this one isn’t as tart or cloyingly sweet. It’s creamier, more refined, and honestly smells expensive. I don’t get much cherry right now, but maybe it’ll develop with time. For now, this is a total banger, easily my most successful blind buy this year!” UPDATE: I wore this out today and of course absolutely loved the beautiful opening. However, toward the end of the day, I started picking up some spice notes like kitchen spices in the dry down, and it was quite unpleasant. It’s disappointing how such a gorgeous opening turned into that. I’ll still keep it and see if it changes or improves over time.

Edit bc now I understand Scarlet has been shacked up in the cold, dark closet for 2 almost 3 months. Yes, she has had to sit. Not bc of performance . I applied her 14 hrs ago, I just washed her off. I still smell my clothing from my hamper. The scent was subtle on my skin when washed off. I just deleted my whole description from before bc Scarlet has changed her whole persona. Oh my, she is stunning! The pepper isn’t as prominent, still present, just better blended. The rose and cherry are so beautiful together, deep, sultry. Finally I smell the tonka, nutmeg as they welcome the sweet, sweet base. It does not bite my nose as before, I struggled to wear it. The contrast between the sweet & spice is perfection. I cannot wait to wear out! I am so so happy! She is so daggum good!!! Wore the lil vixen out & everyone I met said you smell so good...so satisfactory. 100/10
