Bade'e Al Oud Sublime

Bade'e Al Oud Sublime by Lattafa (often recognized for its iconic red bottle) is a fragrance that has caused a lot of talk since its launch in 2023. Although it is part of the "Bade'e Al Oud" collection, it clearly distances itself from its brothers (Oud for Glory or Amethyst) to take a decidedly fruitier path. Despite the name "Oud", this fragrance is a celebration of juicy fruit. It is widely considered an excellent "dupe" of (or otherwise inspired by) Eden Sparkling Lychee | 39 by Kayali. The Opening (The Fruity "Boat"): Freshly sprayed, the explosion of Apple and Lychee is dominant. It is a crunchy, almost "caramel-like" sweetness, refreshed by a touch of rose which however does not appear ancient, but modern and dewy. The Evolution: The heart reveals the Plum, which adds a dark and velvety nuance, making the perfume less "adolescent" and more sophisticated. The jasmine remains in the background, giving body to the structure. The Fund: The close is hot. Vanilla and Patchouli create a solid and slightly earthy base that dampens the acidity of the fruit, ensuring an enveloping trail. Seasonality Versatile: Perfect in spring/summer, but the plum also makes it suitable for autumn. Gender: Unisex (Leaning towards Feminine). The strong fruity component pushes it slightly towards the traditional feminine taste. Value for Money: As is typical of Lattafa, the cost is very affordable given a luxurious Arabesque presentation (bottle and box). It is a fragrance that puts you in a good mood, ideal for those who love "sweet but fresh" scents. Packaging: The opaque red bottle is heavy and has a great visual impact. The name is misleading: If you are looking for an intense, woody or animalic Oud perfume, you will be disappointed. Here Oud is practically absent. Initial sweetness: For some it may be too similar to a fruit syrup in the first few minutes. It is the ideal choice if you love fragrances that smell of clean, red fruit and summer dessert. It's perfect for layering - try using it alongside a woodier scent or white musk to give it even more depth.

Sublime was on my list, but I never ordered bc I didn’t know the inspired fragrance(remember I am new to all this). There were others that held priority on my list bc I knew & wanted their dna. I ran across her at Burlington on the way home from vacation, sure why not. Love at first sniff. Oh so sweet and fresh was my first impression. When I properly tested, I was so pleasantly surprised by the journey this one took. I did not expect that dry down. The oak moss owns the dry down. Mixed with the apple and lychee, it provides a crispness that honestly reminds me of Fall. At first I only got about 4 hrs on skin, but now she goes & goes. I wore on a rainy hot day to a concert and all night to the after party. When I rolled in around 3am, I smelled of mossy apples. I was still in a scent bubble from my clothing but of course to a skin scent on my skin. It had cooled that evening after the rain & I sat outside most the night, she still lasted. This is one of my favorite fragrances. I wear often, especially out, day & night. Next Friday I plan to layer with Khamrah for my kid’s football senior night. I want them to be able to smell me all the way on the other end of the field hehe. Yes, I plan to wear Sublime year round, it doesn’t get very cold often here. I never want to be without Sublime😊 50/10

I am on a mission to find perfumes that smell like fruit shampoo to wear in the summer months. This time, I thought of trying an affordable one. I read about Bade'e Al Oud in reviews, watched many videos about it, and everyone said it smelled like apple shampoo. So, I thought to give it a try. My initial reaction was "nope, it doesn't smell like shampoo at all." To me, it smelled like apple-scented attar, plain and simple. And attars aren't my kind of jam. So, I ignored this and focused on other perfumes. Two days later, something in me told me to try this again, and I did. I dunno what happened, but this time things were different! It smelled like I had taken a bite of a fresh red apple on my skin in the opening. Then, when the scent settled, that shampoo vibe fully came forth, and I rejoiced. It's a well-blended juice, so it's hard for me to single out the notes. I just find it earthy, grounding, slightly sweet, and fresh. The sweetness is not cavity-inducing at all. It weirdly reminded me of Si Passione (my favourite perfume) in the dry down, I don't know why. Do I love it? Yes. Does it smell like shampoo? Also yes. I love it, and I know I'll bring it out in the summer and wear it until I get bored.

Smelt this at fragrance net today and was so good I had to buy. To me this gives me very autumn vibes and whenever I think of apple I just think of autumn. This def is an all year round scent but something in it makes it smell a bit spicy or woodsy and could just be the vanilla and patchouli. It’s not a strong patchouli or spice scent either but it’s how my nose picks it up. While I do think it’s perfect without layering I can see myself wearing this the most in autumn and winter depending how you layer it even just by itself. I did go ahead and layer it with lattafa khamrah and it smells incredible together. Khamrah already gave slight pie vibes to me just a little bit but the apple really reels in that apple pie vibes. I usually never preferred lattafa but clearly I was smelling the wrong ones because this one is very good. For my fall people off the top of my head I can even see this smelling good with winter candy apple, Clinique cookies and kisses and maybe even ginger biscuit Jo Malone and maybe maybe maybe sweet cinnamon pumpkin bbw but I’ll go test those out for sure. I heard this one smells like fruit punch, and as an obscure gourmand addict, I obviously had to get a sample. And I see it. Not a photorealistic punch bowl, but it's definitely giving red juice vibes. Sweet, sticky, red, a little jello-y. If you’ve ever wanted to smell like a cup of melted red popsicle at a family cookout, this is that. I spotted it at Burlington for like 20 bones. If you love the scent, that’s a steal. No hesitation. But something in me is holding back from getting a full bottle. Maybe it’s because I’m trying not to turn my shelf into a fragrance landfill, or maybe because deep down I know I wouldn’t reach for it that often. I think it leans a little too feminine for me to wear regularly. Not that I care much about that, I fully support the “fragrance doesn't have a gender” mindset. But I just personally don’t feel like walking around smelling like sticky red fruits 24/7. That being said, the quality is really solid for the price. Props to Lattafa for that. I really do like how it smells, I just don’t need much of it. A 5 or so mL decant would scratch the itch just fine. Still, for $20? You could do way worse.

Nose Note #553 To me all Kayali fragrances smell similar (judging by the dupes), they are all very-very sweet and centered around some fruit or berry, basically making them into candies. This dupe is no expection. It's an apple candy. Brings up memories of Britney Spears Fantasy - just the direction this fragrances follows. And it has a hair spray vibe like Ambre Pimente Ajmal or Al Rehab One Secret. I've had 3-4 dupes of different Kayali fragrances and this trend doesn't impress me anymore. I think generally this is a very safe fragrance to buy. It's very easy-going, a common candy-sweet kind of fragrance. Or imagine MFK BR540, but done in a less niche way. Upd.: I raise my rating to 8.5. This is absolutely solid. A strawberry Chupa Chups 8.5/10, really, really good

I actually really like this one. It smells fresh, juicy, and uplifting. The fruity notes give it a bright, vibrant feel that's perfect for hot weather. I've received a lot of compliments while wearing this perfume, which was a nice surprise. It has a fresh, bright, fruity scent that stands out without feeling overwhelming. I saw some reviews saying it smells sour or bad, but I personally don't get that at all. I think some people might be picking up the plum note differently, since fruity notes can smell very different depending on your nose and skin chemistry. On me, after the dry down, it comes across as a tart, juicy fruit rather than anything unpleasant. It's perfect if you like a fresh fruity, sweet, youthful vibe without smelling childish.

I've had this perfume for a year now, but I own so many that I kind of forgot about it. I need to reach for Sublime more often, especially now when warm season's started. It's clean, happy and refreshing perfume, but in a fruity and delicious way. The apple and litchi shine the most and stay throughout the whole wear. I don't get much rose at all (I'm glad). The other notes just sit in the background. Very versatile - great for day time, holiday or gym. Not cloying at all. It's just clean, fruity vibe. Gets compliments easily. Great perfomance if you spray generously and I did not leave it to mature at all. I get whiffs of it 8hrs after application. Greay for layering with other fragrances. Very affordable too. I will definitely repurchase.

Sweet, apple, rose, plum, amber base. Very enjoyable. I bought Sublime initially because I was interested in a more affordable option than Kayali Eden Sparkling Lychee which I enjoy but think the price point is high for what it is. This IS in fact a good alternative for a great price. Sublime is its own creature as well. There’s a richer plum and amber base to it than Sparkling Lychee. Also, on my skin Sublime lasts longer than Sparkling Lychee. The deeper base makes Sublime more appropriate for fall winter, while the fresh rose middle makes it light enough for early spring. It is sweet to be sure but not cloying or sickening. I don’t enjoy it as much in hot weather but overall I enjoy it and give it a 8/10.

This is playfulness in a bottle. It's bright with this... how to describe... like this kind of spicy, effervescent sensation without being like a sparkling drink. Just shy of it. It tickles your senses. Like a fizzy apple candy shampoo. You have to be in a certain mood to wear something like this. When you're in a good mood, or when you need your mood lifted. The stereotype of a 'manic pixie dream girl' is who I see wearing something like this, OR a man who can make people laugh, with a brilliant, confident smile. That being said, the longevity and projection are the usual guarantee from Lattafa, that is to say, it's excellent. I think this'll be a staple for springtime when I want something less floral.

I was actually searching for a similar scent to the Victoria secret pure seduction line as I wanted something similar in a perfume form which they don’t do. I saw a single post of Reddit where someone recommend this one. I never would have thought by the description and packaging that this would be spot on. It’s juicey, fruity, plummy and apple yummyness. I don’t think I will find a closer scent to what I was looking for, judging by the bottle and description I expected it to be far more woody and spicy but it’s very light and bright. As a collector of Middle Eastern fragrances I know sometimes you have to let them mature when you first get them but this smelled amazing straight out the box.

This one is no joke. Eventhough its cheap, but it performs more than expensive designer. This smells like typical Victoria Secret body spray, very feminine fruity and a room filling. The 3-4 feet projection last for 3 hours in cool room. So mind blowing. Its sweet, fruity, fresh and full with berries. Its like a fruit mocktail with heavy dose of berries, plum and lychee. I bought 2 bottles for me and my sister. And the next day, my sister wear it to her office and everyone compliment her perfume and start buying the same fragrance. Now, my sister say her whole office smells like boutique of victoria secret body spray section. Worth blind buy for gf, sister or mother.

I've had my eyes on this scent since my very first time getting into perfumes, it came as a sample with my opulent oud, which was my first cologne that started it all, and I kind of kept away from getting it since I wanted to explore new smells since I already knew what it smelled like, and oh my goodness it's great, definitely more feminine, but it's amazing. It smells almost like a very creamy but also airy strawberry lotion, litchi and a little little bit of green apple in the back to give it that sour sweetness. Glad I finally got the whole bottle. Would recommend for everyone 100000% !!!

Smells like a 90ies kids fave bathe / shower gel fruity, but not overly sweet, quite some longevity as far as I can tell until now. Its a pure comfort smell for me - nothing challenging about it, just smooth, sweet fruits. would probably wear this at any time during the year. Whenever i felt the need for sweet, ripe fruits. I can smell plum, lichy (normally dont like that as much, but here its "sublime") apple and some others like a hint of rose, jasmin and other florals. its totally unisex, no hints of either masculine, or even feminine notes. just sweet sweet fruits!

Listen, I don't understand why this has so many bad reviews cause I really like it 😭 I personally don't own this perfume but I visited my sisters place and I found it. Of course I sprayed it all over myself like a good sister 😂 I loved it so much😍 also important to note that I was actually wearing something else before spraying this so I've never really tried it on its own. I was planning to get a full bottle of this, it's a really beautiful fruity scent. The reviews on this made me think maybe I should just get a decant before committing to a full bottle.

Everyone's nose is different, so here's my take... Juicy apple up front, fragrant litchi right behind it, floral jasmine pulling it all together. This is beautifully smooth, juicy, fragrant and turns heads. The oakmoss is the only thing keeping me from saying this is a purely feminine fragrance, it's really on the fence of unisex. Great value, heavy bottle, decent longevity and something I can share with my wife.

I wasnt sure about this one at first, but then I revisited after a few months of macerating and now I love her!! Smells exactly like apple shampoo but with spice. Doesn't last long which is a bummer, but for the price, I dont mind reapplying. My husband described it as "decadent". I layered this with DKNY Be Delicious and that was a delight. Next, I plan on trying it with CK Eternity to add some airiness.

Apple shampoo meets Baccarat Rouge 540... As a man, I'm really enjoying this one. It may be a bit more feminine than masculine, but the apple shampoo scent actually reminds me of PdM Greenley which I LOVE! So again, for that reason, I'm really enjoying wearing this one. Super fresh, fruity, a little bit of woody patchouli, and plenty of that warm BR540 style amber to balance it out. Great combination.

I’m not familiar with the fragrance that this is duping. First spray I get a crisp apple that eventually dries down to BR540 smell. Now that I’ve had this fragrance for a couple of weeks now, the fruity aspects are really sticking around more. I think with time, like with most ME fragrances, it will settle and turn into some even more beautiful. An apple with a middle eastern twist 🍎❤️

It actually does smell close to Kayali’s Eden Juicy Apple, however Kayali is more feminine smoother and emphasizes that lychee, apple combo. Where as Sublime is more unisex having an ever so slight black pepper or spicy undertone without having the note... may be the moss. Pretty good on opening 9/10 opening. Dry down on skin 8/10. Sweet/dirty green scent.
