Blue Oud

A NOT-SO-BLUE FRAGRANCE Usually, I tend to appreciate fragrances containing oud less on the opening stage and more on the base and dry-down time frame. This woody fresh scent from Lattafa contains oud and pleases me as much on the opening as on the dry down. Blue Oud is also far from being a linear fragrance; that's a plus for this unusual woody and semi-fresh perfume. It qualified as a unisex fragrance but I really think that it leans more toward the masculine side. I don't have any doubts that I get a different scent on the opening - fresh and very spicy - while it gets woodier on the base. At the top, the fragrance projects more and it's harsher than in the base. Actually, the woody scents - radiant cashmere and animal oud - kind of melt into a single very agreeable oriental woody scent in the dry down. With the heart notes I get a faint animalistic nuance and some spices -residual pepper and emerging vanilla probably, thus originating a light sweet touch. Besides the woody accords, herbs are also detectable in the heart stage. In the base, the more vibrant cashemearan woody scent is overcome by the stronger oud note. The fragrance comes in an EDP concentration but it has slightly less performance than other Oud fragrances crafted by Lattafa. Nevertheless, it has respectable longevity of up to 8 hours with three sprays and 5~6 feet sillage, projecting for two hours. The woody notes are really wearable and agreeable. There is some fresh subtleness associated with the fragrance's woody strength that makes you really enjoy this perfume. It is very well-behaved, without any hint of a "barnyard scent". The flask is very original and it's made of heavy glass, lacquered with a strong "azure" or "king blue" colour, with a metal medal "à la Versace" and a very good metal cap and sprayer. Let's check the different rates I attribute to this Lattafa Blue Oud perfume: ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ Scent Opening: 8.5 (nice fresh and spicy opening, a bit harsh but pleasant) Scent Dry Down: 9.5 (fantastic dry down with a great velvety tamed oud and leathery accords) Longevity: 8.0 (3 good sprays may last up to 8 hours) Sillage: 7.5 (5 feet at its peak with just 3 sprays; projects for two hours and becomes a skin scent by the fifth hour) Uniqueness: 9.0 (Quite unique and enjoyable for an oriental woody fragrance due to its somewhat easy-to-perceive "blueness") Wearability: 8.5 (A three seasons scent for both outdoor or indoor, day or night; just avoid the summer hot days; You also have better choices for winter nights; it presents a scent different from the average oriental woody fragrance that usually targets cold weather only) Versatility: 8.0 (An "all-around" versatile unisex fresh woody fragrance; That's a strange comment for an oud perfume, but Blue Oud is one of the most wearable oud fragrances I have ever tried) Compliments: 8.0 (This fragrance it's not a compliment magnet, but it is alluring and an above-average pleaser, especially because it contains an oud note that has not been disguised by citrus, flowers, fruits and spices) Quality: 9.0 (Above average quality, quality ingredients, nice flask, nice sprayer) Presentation: 8.0 (no apparent faults, elegant flask in a glass strong "azure" colour and a good metal cap. I just think it is a bit strange for the cap to have the word "opulent" written in a similar way as in Lattafa Opulent Oud. Is this a new "Opulent" family of perfumes by Lattafa? I guess it is!) Price: 10.0 (100 ml non-tester for £ 12,5 + shipping, a real bargain) ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ Overall rating: 8.55/10.00 - between 7 and 8 =above average; - between 8 and 9 = recommended; - bigger than 9 = don't miss it; My Advice: If you are not familiar with oud scents, do buy them only after trying them; I recommend Lattafa's "Blue Oud" to ALL oriental fragrance lovers due to its singularity of being semi-fresh. If you really like oriental woody fragrances, you don't even need to try it before buying it. I do believe this fragrance will conquer you with its uniqueness. Note: If you think that all Lattafas are trying to dupe another fragrance, in my opinion, this scent is quite unique and does not intend to clone anything. Music: The Marcels - "Blue Moon"

Fresh As Dawn, Warm As Dusk If you like non-linear fragrances, this might be for you. It is twofold, starts cool like the morning dawn and ends warm like the evening twilight. Let the scent of your imagination carry you away with this seductive oriental fragrance from Lattafa. Even though I already own the amazing Opulent Oud, I have always been reticent about purchasing Blue Oud. Everything attracted me, except the marine note, which I have appreciated and loved in the past but at this stage of my life it is not among my favourites, and if combined with sweet accords it disturbs me and makes me nauseous. But in the end, I gave in to temptation, given the very low price I found online, around €15, ridiculous for a 100ml edp with very careful packaging and design, the satin velvet box, the sapphire blue bottle, a decorated cap antique silver colour and a functional spray. And my choice was rewarded. First, there is a reason this perfume, and all those in the same series, have been baptized with the adjective opulent. Their opening is overpowering, and dense, taking your breath away like a punch in the stomach. Blue Oud opens straightaway with a medicinal oud, with influences of rugged saffron, something camphorous, with plenty of pepper and dark sugary nuances. A tinge is leathery, not skanky or barnyard-like. The pyramid notes seem to come out upside down. It exudes a salty, marine hum, not too obnoxious, not too Bvlgari Aqva. It’s an oriental with Western influences, fruity amber rather than opulent, gelatinous rose sweetens the oud. The fruity accord includes green apple, sour, crispy, and sweet. Top notes are well blended and soon lead to the middle stage. Let the oud and spicy aroma calm down and a sweet lavender with creamy touches of cashmeran slowly emerges from the warm skin. Lavender is almost devoid of its slightly balsamic and aromatic side, while its herbaceous side stands out and blends well with the creamy cashmeran, sometimes woodier, sometimes muskier. Some pleasant and noticeable white flowers make the central phase a little indolic, almost as if there were a pinch of night jasmine among the secret notes. There is even a sort of mixed fruit sweetness along with the white jasmin edge, which adds a sort of fruity vibe. At times, I notice waxy and rosy shades that I associate with geranium and sage leaves. Before approaching the drying phase, the perfume takes on a powdery and dewy appearance, which makes me think of iris flowers or violet leaves. These are the first signs that the coumarins are waking up, giving me sweet and slightly herbaceous reflections, with nuances of vanilla but also of straw. An earthy musk makes its way to the bottom, and the oud notes are almost a memory, drowned in a sea of briny amber and sensual musk. The sense of smooth creaminess remains, and cashmeran combines with an equally creamy light wood, sandalwood. The last trail is a smooth sweet oud aroma with plenty of muskiness and ambroxan saltiness. It seems like Blue Oud is a good fragrance, awesome, underrated, to wear during the cool months of the spring and fall seasons. Too heavy for summer, but good for winter if you want something oudy yet fresh. The projection is within arm’s reach, and I catch it every time I move my hands. Longevity is above average on my skin, becoming a scent on the skin after wearing it almost all day. More suitable for casual and leisure time, offputting for work and coworkers in the first hours. If you wanna check a sugary oud fragrance, without smoky, dirty, rubbery, or skanky influences, you’d better give it a try. I'm expressing my experience with a bottle I've owned since January 2024.

As of now, I have the entire opulent line,and here's what I will say. Out of ALL of them, I feel like this will be the most mass appealing to men. This definitely leans more masculine. This feels very fresh, clean, aquatic and almost a shaving cream/after shave type of smell. Upon the first spray I get the apple and bergamot, it quickly dies away and I immediately start picking up on the guaiac woods, the sandalwood, saffron, Jasmine, and musk. It definitely does give off a a bit of a fabric softener type of vibe, (not the overly feminine ones) especially in the dry down. Something in this, gives it a sort of coziness in the base. The oud in the this is fresh. This oud is not funky, not medicinal or fecal. To me, the saffron,woody notes and ambergris is the most prominent in this fragrance. This is definitely a woody, fresh fragrance, with a hint of fruits. I feel like, if you like aftershave smells/shaving cream sort of scents then you'd really enjoy this one. This would be amazinggg in summer/spring. The smell that whaffs in the air is just wonderful. In my opinion, this would definitely suit a man better than a woman. Over all I give this fragrance a ten/ten. It's really lovley,well blended,etc. It's a more wearable middle eastern Fragrance. I love, love, loooove this stuff. ........................................................... Side note, out of all the opulent line. I'll give a quick little opinion for each one. Opulent musk- most fresh, most airy, good amaount of citrus. And the most amaount of saffron, but the oud IS slightly animalic. Opulent Red - The most unique and most strange. It doesn't smell like anything I own. Least safe blind buy. (The most floral) Opulent Oud - The most dark, the most rich, the most amount of oud and sweetness. (Oud is skanky) Opulent blue Oud - The easiest to wear, and the least funky. The most well rounded. Minimal oud. (The oud is more medicinal and is not animalistic).

I recently picked up this bad boy for about $16.99 at my local Burlington and immediately fell in love with it this is a very strong and long lasting fragrance i get about 7-10 hours while wearing this and I would like to say, that oud is NOT shy I love the balanced blend of sweet and spicy that I get from this fragrance and it's is an amazing addition to my collection although the scent might not be suitable for some, I highly recommend picking this one up especially for the price tag. Definitely worth my money and definitely blind buy worthy I give this fragrance a solid 10/10

I bought this perfume blindly yesterday for like 11$. I am getting notes of oud and sweetness - they are balanced quite well. Could be little bit stronger imo If you are looking for really cheap perfume with potential to turn heads - this is it. Its to soon for me to judge longevity, but considering price and first impression - 8/10.

Just bought fragrance last night on a blind buy and on a recommendation from a friend. My wife liked it, she complimented me as I wore it as my scent of the day. It smells fresh fragrant with a smooth oud spicy scent. I love it, I'm glad I bought it. I recommend it for mature crowd. Good for dates and office. Survives hot weather.

This is still similar to Opulent Oud, but with a bit of freshness mixed into it. The opening is a bit sickening but once it settles down, it is alluring. I must say I am pleasantly surprised. The scent is still very sharp, but now has an added complexity to it and is smoothed out.

Hahaha how in earth this smells like Invictus? Just because it is blue bottle doesn't mean it is blue scent. Wake up people. No one forcing you to be here. This is quite oody and woody with a slight touch of floral. End of. For me it was a steal. 16$, literally amazing bargain.

The oud in the opening is a bit medicinal but as time goes by, the scent gets better and better and you're left with a nice fruity floral musky dry down. I think this can work any season, day and night. A good performer too. A unique take on oud that many can appreciate.

Love this stuff. It's floral, fruity, musky, woody, oudy. It's so smooth and sweet, but masculine. Nothing I own smells like this. One of my favourites, and as always with Lattafa, brilliant value for money, about 13 quid on Ebay. Long lasting and projects well too

I'm glad I bought it. Great price and a scent with character. I like the black version better than the blue one. Excellent performance, strength and durability. The scent is for colder weather. Overall rating 8/10.

Blue Oud is without a doubt one of the most unconventional compositions I have ever encountered, but I don't mean that in a negative sense. If you've ever smelled a blue gel pen, you might notice a certain weird similarity here. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what I'm sensing, even more so because the official Lattafa website lists two different fragrance pyramids — both of which, oddly enough, seem fitting when trying to describe the scent blindly. The opening is a distinct blend of sweet, salty, marine, and fruity notes, paired with a fresh and clean, soapy undertone. There are moments when I wonder whether I'm detecting something herbal, animalic, or spicy — yet I can't quite put my finger on it. The scent evolves through several phases — it starts off chaotic, and with each passing minute, it shifts and transforms. This is an experience full of contrasts: from the sweetness of fruits, through watery notes, to earthy and woody oud accords that add a sense of depth. I can even detect something slightly tropical. At times, it's hard to believe all these elements come from a single bottle. The drydown is a deep, lavender-infused vanilla that intensifies until the very end. Despite its unconventional nature, the fragrance is balanced and warm, with a subtle hint of something synthetic, but not overly so. It's a true oddity. One thing is certain: Blue Oud is far from linear. It's like having several perfumes in one, with noticeable shifts over time. The lasting power is also impressive. It clings for hours, and the projection is equally remarkable. Even with the slightest movement, you'll be reminded of its presence. As for gender, it's difficult to categorize. It might lean masculine due to its raw edge, but there's also some softness and freshness that could easily suit a woman. Maison Alhambre Lattafa just left a bad taste in my mouth. But one day I just sprayed it on my skin and not in my mouth and I discovered they’re not bad if you just smell them. No really I had a lot that were just cheap. They brought out the cologne snob in me . All this hype over this garbage. But I have picked out some cheapies that sort of kind of smell expensive. This is one of them. Well what I mean is , You can smell the oud and it’s not that funky wet smelling stuff. Nice and warm. And this stuff is strong. Half a spray is enough to stick with you on this one. Longevity is good. Sillage is a strong moderate . Sandalwood is there in the entire duration of the wear. Nice balance with the oud. Hell yea there’s synthetic stuff going on. I mean come on, They didn’t pick 500 pounds of Safron and squeeze the juice out to make it smell good and sell it for $15.99. And how else can they get this kind of sillage. Better life through chemistry , But it’s smells fine. For $16.00 what smells as good as this ? And looks as good as this. Now I doubt I will wear it that much as a stand alone . But I believe it will help kick up a few blue scents this summer. A spray in each arm pit. One spray don’t burn and it’s strong. I don’t use anti perspirant they’re way worse Than what is in perfume for a man . And I can still enjoy whatever on the rest of my body. I’m all about some combos. Not too many weirdos like me. But I hope maybe that will help somebody. A perfect cologne haul today. I picked this up going through the Burlington rack just for the hell of it. This one and Ramz probably the best deals in the store. That a man can wear anyways. Save me from having to order online as I enjoy Ramz anyways. And This one is a beast so why not. I love the look of the bottle. Reminds me of crown Royal. Don’t taste as good though🤮 The bottle Looks good wearing my midnight oud crown. Lol. Think I’ll wear this out the shower tonight. 16 bucks man. Can’t spend it much better at the Burlington rack. The bottle will be around a while because I’m not big on many oud scents.

Interesting fragrance here. Some fruity, fresh notes hit you right off the bat and there's a woody backbone behind it that smells like synthetic, slightly medicinal oud. I see people calling this a cold weather scent but I just can't imagine that - it's definitely a moderate weather spring/fall scent. Not a crowd pleaser and not a blind reach whatsoever, despite the fresh/fruity/floral/musk character of it... Oversprayingthis (or hell, spraying this at all) will give some people headaches and it is a good performer to boot. Not office safe, and grab Sheikh Al Shuyukh Final Edition or Fakhar Black instead if you want a warm weather crowd pleaser. All in all, I think like this one. For me it will most likely be used lightly for layering with other spring scents as the weather changes, or around the house/on neighborhood errands. I'm not a blue fragrance person at all and I'm glad this has a little more depth and character to it than other fruity/fresh scents tend to. For under $20 I think it's a good pickup. The presentation is tight for the price too, as is usually the case for Lattafa. 4/5

Initial thoughts on this fragrance. It is quite similar to Aoud Blue Notes, although I used up my sample of it years ago I would say there's a 80-90%+ similarity, it definitely scratches the same itch. It's quite powdery to my nose, a bit more than I remember the Mancera being. I think it's the sandalwood, musk and ambergris creating a fuzzy powdery scent. Either the Oud or Guaiac wood is giving a faint funk if I dig my nose in it. It's fruity but not excessively sweet. Overall I'd say it's a strong like. It's definitely not a hot summer day scent for me I think it'd get too cloying and stuffy but it'd definitely work on a summer night, and year round. It's a casual scent, like the Mancera it's similar to it's doesn't lean immature nor overly mature, I think it fits early to mid twenties to mid thirties. I think it slightly masculine but not so much so that it'd be out of place being worn by someone feminine.

Let's get something out the way quickly - for this price, you're not getting real oud. Right, what does this smell like? My bottle opens with an oudy note and a very tart fruit-like smell. The opening notes say apple and bergamot but it smells more like the tart fruitiness of passionfruit to me. It projects well for the 1st couple of hours with that prominent fruit and oud combo before drying down to something woody, fruity and a little bit creamy. The sour/tart fruity notes bring sweetness to the oud/woody base and are present all through the lifespan of the fragrance. You'll get 6hrs out of this easy with generous spraying. It's pleasant but smells a bit cheap or synthetic so I would not recommend this if you are trying to make an impression. Better for cold weather use. In between like and OK for me. Nothing special and better to try before you buy so you don't end up with a bottle you struggle to use up.

Had this and Opulent Red for several months and I would say they’re both complex non-linear oud-forward. Blue Oud (wish it was named Opulent Blue lol) is a woody, aquatic sweet/green apple scent. Upon initial spray it starts out spicy and aromatic from the black pepper and substantial herbaceous presence being warm like dusk. Never got any rubber, synthetic and or barnyard smell but would definitely say the agarwood (Oud) does have a small “medicinal” impact on the aroma but that mostly is due to being in conjunction with smoky, leathery saffron. Interesting enough in the drydown there is this “smooth blue” impression of succulent fruits picked in a crisp dawn supported by the oud, additional woody notes and ambergris. Would not consider this eau de parfum blind buy material but if you’re looking for an oriental fragrance with a twist, check it out! Rating: 7.7/10

All I want to say is that this stuff is strong, not for office use for sure, it has a very strong sillage for the first 3 hours, then it starts to lose strength until it sits close to the skin, It starts with a fruity musky scent, i can smell the apple the musk and the oud on the first spray, then after 3-4 minutes the apple vanishes leaving a strong musk and oud scent, then after 1 or 2 hours as the musk loses strength you start to get the jasmine and this stays till the entire duration of this perfume. Go easy on the trigger with this one cowboy, and NEVER wear it to the office because people around you will start to develop a headache, and you start to get complaints about your perfume. This is not a crowd pleaser by any means, but I like it, if you like musk and oud (and piss people off) buy this one you wont regret it.

Fruity Floral Fresh Soapy Clean Lattafa Blue Oud smells like fresh laundry soap powder or dryer sheets (gives off that fresh-clean/fuzzy feel of a dryer sheet); the oud isn't really detectable; the main players are the bright-clean-musk, ambergris, jasmine, sage, and fruits, then a little bit of guaiac wood, pepper, saffron & sandalwood; has that lattafa middle eastern powdery-incense(y) vibe when full dry/at the base. Beast projection & sillage for the 1st 1-2 hour(s), don't need many sprays (not the most natural smelling or smooth)

oud dominant, hints of some fruits, sea breeze in the background (ambergris) i think its not a warm spicy and cold weather fragrance. its not even harsh and loud. it is best suitable for spring, summer and autumn. it started growing on me in maceration process. I get the oud in front and soapy freshness at the background. I still couldn't detect the fruity vibes of it.

It definitely has a fruity, black pepper scent which makes it quite spicy, it is not as sweet when compared to Midnight Oud by Ard Al Zaafaran... It could potentially be worn casually, I prefer to reserve it for special occasions because of its strength... If I’m honest, I’d suggest testing it on skin first to see what you are up against...

Interesting complex fragrance. Up close there is a nice animalic essence. After a few uses you will be able to determine how this fragrance works for you. For me, the dry down is a fruity floral musk but there’s a twist to the sweetness from the ambergris. It’s almost like a hint of sweet tea. Mixed with a strong wooded base.

I like the way it smells, after the dry down it smells like green apple and oud.I received compliments with it, I was also told when I was wearing it that it smells like odor, so maybe it is not a frag that everyone can like.6 hours of performance with a moderate sillage after maceration

Opens with a good dose of oud, not animalic and quite pleasant. Then fruits become apparent with a focus on apple. It dries down to fruits with powdery musks and amberwood. Pleasant but a bit too synthetic for my taste. It very very cheap (~15 CHF) and has pretty good performance. 6/10

If you ever wondered how a blue pencil would smell this is the fragrance for you. Literally smells like the color blue i dont know how to explain. Spicy yet fresh. Very nice scent that works better on older individuals but teenagers could pull it off too!

The opening is sort of harsh, as you're bombarded with a ton of different nuances. After a while it becomes a spicier woodier version of Lattafa's Fakhar Black. 100% Recommended if you can survive the first moments of the fragrance.

i've had this for a week. the dominant scent is apple and oud with saffron. in the drydown you get the flowers with sandalwood until it becomes a clean soap skinscent. its great but doesnt last very long

Opens with a medicinal, woody note and fresh too. It's quite pleasant. It does remind me of ink somehow. I'll wait for this to mature before a final review. Lovely well made bottle.

I have been taught a few lessons here; fruity does not equal sweet, blind-buying is a gamble, and you can never know yourself completely. The opening of this scent is a real challenge for me. Reflecting on the perfumes I enjoy, I thought that I have rather left-of-centre taste but this has taught me that there are indeed fragrance combinations I have trouble with. The oud is very strong in the opening and the fruits add a bitter acidity... to achieve some sort of a balance, I guess? Then the musk and sage announce themselves. It diffuses into a sort of herbaceous astringency reminiscent of stuffing your mouth full of unripe grapes, twigs and all, and trying to chew without dehydrating. Do not be fooled by the picture used on Fragrantica for "fruit" notes. It leads you to believe that there is something yummy in the mix, however if I started searching for it now, I will die one day without finding it. During the mid, I find the ambergris joining the other kids to play. Like with all groups of children playing together, if there are vast differences in their character there is bound to be a fight at some stage, and I feel this is where that happens. Chaos...but in a way, you want to luridly watch them fight it out to see what happens...who survives. I had to force myself not to layer with something more familiar so I can relate to the scent, but in the end I failed. I topped it with a sweeter fragrance and it turns out that I now smell like a whore's boudoir. I low-key like it ;-). This is certainly not a scent for everyone so do not blind buy it under any circumstances. Below are my ratings. Scent: 4 ( not my jam entirely ) Longevity: 7 ( about 5 hours on my skin, this includes the time as a skin scent ) Sillage: 9 for the opening to mid (1 hour ), 6 for the mid to dry-down ( 4 hours ) Value: 9 ( if you like this type of scent it is insane value ) Novelty: 9 ( quite unusual ) Occasion: Committing a crime. Colour: Burnt orange Character: Alfred Hitchcock. If only for the novelty, go and experience this. If you hate it, you'll have something to talk about. If you love it, you'll have something to talk about. Definitely a controversial fragrance.

"Synthetic, synthetic, synthetic, chemical", can people please stop using these buzzwords as pejoratives? All fragrances are mostly "synthetic" as the industry has become heavily regulated. Synthetic just means derived in a laboratory probably from some cheaper material. For example, Vanillin can be derived from rice, cloves, etc, it's still a natural ingredient, the difference is it's singled out. It's the same molecule that's predominant in a vanilla pod, it's just that, there it's surrounded by other molecules giving vanilla its distinct flavour/smell. If you'd extract just the Vanillin from Vanilla, it would be the same "synthetic" molecule people throw tantrums about. As for the scent, when I sprayed it once to test it, I thought I definitely wouldn't like it. Wearing it today, after spraying liberally, I'm pleasantly surprised by the skankiness stemming from the oud in the opening, and something akin to salty musk, which might be coming from the "ambergris" in the note breakdown. There's also something fruity, with a touch of white florals. In the air, it gives off a fruity impression. I linger somewhere between a like and ok, leaning closer to like.

The first spray feels like a lot to take in. While trying to process the nuances properly, I couldn't help but notice a salty aquatic feeling in that opening. It mixes with the fruits(peach, pear??), woods and saffron to create a smell I really do not like. As it settles down a lil, it becomes endurable. The intensity of the woods and pepper has added a much-needed backbone to the composition. I can also smell a powdery accord with a bit of floral touches as it further dries down. Performance is good. 8hrs+ with a good sillage. This can be worn as an office scent. It can also be worn casually. This is nothing special if you've built a large collection already, but if starting, this could be a good performing sweet fragrance with a touch of freshness and spice that you can invest in. But just be ready to "get used to it" and "give it time to macerate" when you buy it. Final Rating: 5.5 Not totally bad. But I've seen Lattafa fragrances that are way better.

My first impressions don’t match those of others, but I admit I don’t have a very refined sense of smell. I detect leather on my skin, so it brings to mind other leather fragrances I have. This one instantly makes me think of Leather Oud Intense (listed as Oud Leather Intense) by the brand Oudose (that one has incense/smoke), or Lattafa Velvet Oud. I do not get the apple, bergamot (or any fruits) nor do I get the jasmine, but I think the immediate off-putting scent others describe is the sage + saffron together. It’s not so unpleasant that it is unusual, just the average strong-to-a-Westerner synthetic oud that I have already habituated myself to. The dry-down is slightly sweet and soft, but ultimately an uninteresting oud, as far as others go like Lael Maleki or Bade Al Oud - Oud for Glory.

This fragrance is really cheap, and for the price, its good value. The box and bottle design feel very premium. The performance of this fragrance is also very good. The quality of the juice itself is also high quality, and for someone who likes the way this smells its absolutely a no brainer. But me, im not the biggest fan of the scent profile. The opening is really flowery which leans it way too feminine for me, but after some long hours it does became more masculine and i defenetively like the base notes a lot more than the opening. Despite it being blue, i cant really imagine wearing this on a hot summer day, its way too sweet for that season. What it does best is deliver amazing quality for very low price for those, who look for a unisex fragrance, and like this dna.

Got it for $12 a couple of days ago. The opening smells a bit like melted rubber but afterwards I get more of a fabric softener vibe from it. Not sure if I have a bad batch or I become nose blind but I can't really feel it on my skin anymore after a couple of hours. Later edit: applied this at 9:15 AM and people could still feel it on me when close at 4:15 PM

This leans chypre on me and it’s not my favorite. Spicy green is definitely present, and it’s masculine in a way I don’t prefer. No full bottle. These notes are to help me best remember my samples in the future.

Smells kind of like a fabric softener, good for refreshing clothes that were in a closet for too long.

No way as good as Opulent Oud or Musk. Good value for money but average smell at best...

Nose Note #576 It's very oudy and it's trying to be aquatic at the same time, and it's just not working well. To my nose the note of saffron is absolutely dominating the mix. Saffron is really murdering the overall vibe for me. The oud is of the fruity type and doesn't feel nice overall, it's fruity and very oily, the type of oud I really don't like. I'm getting a similar rancid oil feeling in Art of Arabia III and Raw Human, Cassius Maison Alhambra and Red Tobacco Mancera. I thought I'd really like it, but I really don't. I don't want to wear it at all. I don't make Aoud Blue Notes, but I do have Aoud Lemon Mint which is supposedly similar to the former. Aoud Lemon Mint is great. The oud is at the back of the composition, there is a nice note of soft sweet lemon, a little bit of almond, nice amount of amber and vanilla. I must say when Blue Oud dries down it's a little similar to Aoud Lemon Mint, but not enough to upvote the similarity. Aoud Lemon Mint is like Tonka Cola, but softer and with lemon. Blue Oud is too oudy and not in a beautiful and animalic way like Oud Maracuja has it. Here oud just feels off and synthetic. I don't know. I hate to dislike it, but sometimes it has to happen, even with my beloved UAE houses. "Burnt rubber" smell? Maybe. "Powdery musky floral accord" - yeah, something like that. "Honey"? Yeah, kind of smells like honey too. 5.8/10, not pleasant, dry down is OK, but wanting for it is a struggle I don't want to engage in UPD.: I've had Blue Oud for a year and I couldn't believe the OG could be this disgusting, so ever since I wanted a sample of Aoud Blue Notes. But to my bitter regret Blue Oud turned out to actually be not far away from it... I don't know how to describe it. "Experimental medicine or scented clay" - kind of accurate. I feel a huge load of saffron in Blue Oud and this. The violet note definately doesn't help. The very same violet note is in Mancera Black Gold which I am similarly turned off. To my nose Aoud Blue Notes also has quite a lot of leather and in that sense it's also similar to Wild Leather. Basically, if you are like me with 32 Mancera and Montale fragrances and a dozen others that you had in the past you know that MANY of them overlap and smell very similar to each other. NOT ALL are nice. This one is not pleasant. Though I did recieve compliments on both this and even Blue Oud (!!!). Blue Oud is quite a faithful dupe. It's about 85% similar, but you 100% get the overall experience of Aoud Blue Notes. I'd even say Blue Oud is more palatable... This violet fruity accord in Mancera really kills it for me. And it smells like medicinal saffron in the worst sense, not even like Oud for Greatness. Aoud Blue Notes is definately stronger than Blue Oud. I have a friend that rocks Aoud Blue Notes and I remember smelling the sillage and thinking it smelled amazing. But smelling it off myself - I can't stand it.

I don't like this , I don't hate this , I do respect it. I'm trying to get into some oud fragrances . I saw this for $16 so why not. The person that said that this smells like blue pen ink is pretty accurate. But it's not in a bad way . To me it has a oud and blue jean type of smell. The oud surprisingly smells pretty high quality. Overall this fragrance smells way more high quality than you would expect from a $16 fragrance. Its very oud forward and fresh. The oud is pretty strong and I really don't get many of the other notes but their combination give the fragrance a slight freshness and cut the oud from getting very heavy and deep so they play their part. I do enjoy it more as it dries down. The oud mellows out buy is still the leading note but the sage sandalwood saffron and musk show up more. It's pleasant after a bit but it's just not for me and I will be returning this. Performance isn't bad. It stays on the skin for 6 hours easy. Projects for about 2 to 3 hours. I give this a 5/10 .

I don't feel like this is a blue fragrance at all. It's not something I would wear during the hot summer. It suits spring, fall, and maybe winter better. It has a fruity sweetness but is dominated by a syrupy oriental medicine note, with perhaps a hint of black leather. It vaguely reminds me of TF Ombre Leather, though it's not quite the same. The more I smell it, the more I think you could pull it off on a cooler summer evening. But it definitely wouldn't be my first or last choice. This fragrance isn't for everyone. I can see it drawing more complaints than compliments. It's best worn around people who appreciate unique scent profiles. The younger crowd might find it unpleasant and even nauseating. So, if you're a people pleaser looking for compliments and a pleasant reaction, definitely skip this one. 5.5/10.

Wearing this today. And just going to be frank, the initial burst was described to me as the scent from "urinal cakes". That's definitely not a good sign. On my own skin, the opening is ok but the drydown really is divine. Good mix of oud and a kind of marine scent. It's lasted a good 6 hours now. This would be what happens if you make an oud version of Wings for Men by Giorgio (this is the most nuclear scent known to man) There's a lot of good in the presentation here. Ace design and box. This is definitely a box scent gift that would be welcome. Just not one for regular use. It's not suitable for work unless you work in a niche hotel. Like another reviewer said, I get the pleasant note of Jasmine here.

I'll keep this one simple: Blue Oud goes on smelling like burnt rubber. It dries down to the smell of burnt rubber and roses. If you wait long enough, the burnt rubber finally dies leaving a less offensive powdery musky floral accord, but it's not worth the wait. I gotta stop these blind purchases :( Humorous follow-up to my original review: My 20 year old son, who enjoys sampling my colognes, was home from college so I sprayed this on him and asked him what he thought. His reply, "Ooh, I'm not liking this one. It smells kinda like rubber".

Invictus? No way.. This is completely different and is not an easy fragrance, very masculine in my opinion. The opening it's horrendous, really rough with an urinal feel to it, disgusting. After some minutes, the fruity sweetness (pear/apple) comes up and it mixes with an animalic musk. It's a strange fragrance for sure, strong, sickening and heavy, not blind buy safe for sure if you have less than 25 years old.

Maybe this just needs to sit for a while but as of right now after having it for a month or so, my husband and I both find this very... poopy 💩

Nothing like you would've expect. Oud / woody, warm and spicy; long lasting. Can't smell the fresh notes. Nothing like Aoud Lemon Mint.

Horrendous! This will sit on the shelf and never get used, Only paid about £14 - you get what you pay for.

Chemical synthetic mess that will choke out anyone within 5m of you

Mix any of the classic “Axe” body sprays with a putrid radio static and you have Lattafa Blue Oud. It is the most synthetic and toxic smelling fragrances that I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. I purchased it for like $8, and I would rather pay someone $10 to punch me in the face than wear or even smell this fragrance on someone else. In one word you could describe this fragrance only as, VILE. Projection: good Longevity: Eternal, it will not wash off and you’ll be tearing at your skin to get it off of you. You’ll have to throw your clothes away. Smell: inexcusably bad, like you’ll think that the perfumer was playing a prank on your nose. Price:it’s so cheap, cheapest fragrance I own, and I wouldn’t take it from someone for free given the opportunity.
