Danhal Oud Kambodi

I have postponed reviewing this fragrance for a lengthy period of time so that I can make sure that I have become fully acquainted with it’s characteristics and behaviours. I did procure a 100ml bottle of this fragrance from an overseas vendor in Kuwait. To some, this fragrance may be found to be shocking......shocking in the way a nose accustomed to western fragrance would react to something so far removed from that standard.... and make no mistake about it...this fragrance does deviate from that standard significantly. At first application....I was caught off guard by this fragrance. It comes out heavy, rich, somewhat fruity and moderately fungal. The fungal essences of the Oud are very much present, and if you are accustomed to a more westernized Oud you will be caught off guard too. The fungal essence of the Oud settles rather quickly though...so no need to panic (just yet). The full bouquet of the scent opens up, smoothes out, and calms down after a few minutes of being out in the air. What’s left is stone fruit-esque , rich, somewhat Smokey ..somewhat bhakoor-like Oriental incense scent. This fragrance is one that may challenge you at first if you are not familiar with the legitimate fragrances of the Far East and/or the Middle East. I did really warm up to it, though...and it really is quite exotic smelling and very different from the traditional Western frags sold mainstream . If you have an adventurous soul, and like new, fascinating luxurious fragrances to indulge upon with your senses....I would recommend it. acquiring this fragrance may prove to be a bit of a challenge, so if you need a Middle Eastern connection to obtain this and some of the many others....message me and I can give you a lead to obtain it. The Verdict: Excellent

I haven't worn this scent for ages and to be honest I've fallen head over heels in love with it again today. It's a gorgeous concoction of plum, incense, oud, milk chocolate, vanilla, saffron, woods and cashmeran. Its oud note displays the correct progression from fungal to rich stonefruit, as a real aged oud does. I'm not saying this is real aged oud, as it's too cheap to be such, but as with all Lattafa fragrances, they have masterfully recreated this delightful transition. Only slight let-down was longevity which was only about 6 hours, but at this price you could totally just re-apply and it's still worthwhile for this gorgeous scent. Smells a bit like Tom Ford's Plum Japonais, but with a more realistic oud note.

Another beautiful oriental fragrance! It starts with an intoxicated rum with a black chocolate scent that remind me some beautiful dark ouds like Oud Hindi or Oud Saharah. This sweetness turns into a kind of soil scent little by little, and settles into much earthy smoky tone. Good quality and modest price!

The fragrance features woody notes, agarwood (oud) and incense.

These colognes have similar mixes of ingredients all smelling very expensive and high end. They are not giving away their secrets or description of development. They all smell very different. Amazing products from the Middle East.
