Fakhar Black

I've had great luck with Lattafa's cool and cold weather scents but I'd never tried any of their warm weather stuff so, I recently went on a mini binge and bought three of their spring and summer fragrances. Najdia EDP = Invictus Aqua 2016 Fakhar EDP = supposed to straddle the line between YSL Y EDT and EDP Sheikh Al Shuyukh Final Edition EDP = Supposed to be closer to YSL Y EDP I've had the Fakhar for a couple of months. The Sheikh Al Shuyukh is still in the mail at the moment. I'll compare and contrast the two of them once I have both in hand. But for now, I'll talk about Fakhar. So right off the bat yes, Fakhar smells just like YSL Y as soon as you spray it. It smells really nice. And reviewers got this one right in my opinion. It does sit somewhere between the EDT and EDP versions of YSL Y. There's less aldehydes and more sweetness than the EDT. But there's also less emphasis on the sage than the EDP. If I had to pick one, I'd say Fakhar is closer to the EDP version of YSL Y. Performance is about what I expected. Not terrible, not beast mode. It's solid. I get about 5-6 hours of longevity and a little over an hour of projection. Like any "Blue" fragrance, it's a crowd pleaser that can be worn year round and for almost any occasion. This could be a one bottle wardrobe / signature scent. You'd have to spray like crazy to overdo Fakhar. It's safe almost anywhere. But it's probably not a club scent if you want to walk around in a perfume fog. The scent itself is great. To the point that there is absolutely no point in buying YSL Y in any form. I can't wait to get my hands on Sheikh Al Shuyukh to compare the two. I'm expecting that one to be a little sweeter and denser and maybe leaning a little more towards evenings. Oddly, it's not listed on Fragrantica so, I can't leave a separate review for it. Najdia was an OK for me based on performance. Fakhar is another winner from Lattafa. This is blind buy safe. EDIT: OK, UPS delivered the Sheikh Al Shuyukh Final Edition just before I headed out the door on Friday evening. So I wore it that night in weather that was cool and dry (about 60F / 16C). I had friends over Saturday night and I wore it again that night. No compliments or mentions about it either night. I tried to post a photo here but apparently that's not allowed and Sheikh Al Shuyukh Final Edition is missing from the Fragrantica database. So you'll have to use Google for a visual. Based on two uses I'd have to say the YouTube reviewers have it right. Fakhar sits somewhere between YSL Y EDT and EDP. Whereas Sheikh Al Shuyukh Final Edition is much more a straight up YSL Y EDP inspired / clone fragrance. Sheikh Al Shuyukh Final Edition has all or most of the aldehydes removed. It's also smoother, richer, and denser than Fakhar. I can't say it's "better" because both are outstanding. It's just different. I think Fakhar wins for hot weather and daytime use. I think Sheikh Al Shuyukh Final Edition wins for cooler weather and evenings. The only slight disappointment is the performance. Both are moderate, not bad, but not beast mode either. I get a solid 5-6 hours of longevity with good (arms length) projection for about an hour, maybe 1.5 hours. But the performance is pretty much what I've come to expect from the average warmer weather, mass appealing type fragrances. So Lattafa hasn't discovered any miracles. But they also created something that's perfectly competitive with the YSL Y line it's trying to emulate. And the performance may have been a conscious decision so they won't overpower a room. It it worth owning both? Yes, at less than $30 apiece it's absolutely worth owning both of these fragrances for me. As I mentioned, they are both very versatile but they do skew towards different situations enough that it's worth owning both. As far as "Blue" fragrances go, I'd buy these over Bleu De Chanel, Sauvage, YSL Y, or Dylan Blue all day every day. They are that good and the price is 70% lower. Where these don't play is in the "Blue" Aquatic space. For that, I'll hang onto Bvlgari Aqva Atlantiqve.

If you are looking for a perfume that offers unbeatable value for money, Lattafa Fakhar Black is probably one of the best candidates on the current market. Launched in 2022, it quickly gained fame as the near-perfect "clone" of Yves Saint Laurent Y Eau de Parfum. Fakhar Black is the essence of the "Blue" perfume: fresh, clean, versatile and deeply masculine. The Opening: Freshly sprayed, the explosion of crisp apple and ginger is identical to YSL's DNA. It's lively, bubbly and immediately gives off a "just out of the shower" feeling. The Evolution: In the heart, lavender and sage give an aromatic and slightly herbaceous touch, making the fragrance more elegant and less "playful". The Base: The finish is made warm and enveloping by Tonka Bean and Amberwood, which guarantee that modern sweetness that those around you really like. Duration: On the skin it lasts on average 6-7 hours. It's not an extreme "beast mode", but it's absolutely solid for its price range. Sillage: Very good in the first two hours. It manages to get noticed without being intrusive or annoying in closed environments such as the office. Fakhar Black is an extremely safe blind buy. It is a fragrance that projects an image of cleanliness, order and self-confidence. If you love the aromatic-sweet genre and want to save money without sacrificing perceived quality, it's a "must-have".

I bought this fragrance around 6 months ago as a blind buy, because i was not willing to spend so much money for YSL Y at the time as it had plenty of hype. What I ended up buying was my new favourite fragrance. This is amazing. It is fresh, manly and a little fruity. I wear it to work and I get some compliments for it every once in a while, we're way too antisocial in Finland so people don't really do that here, so when it happens it feels good :) . The one thing i dislike is the projection and sillage, it is great for a few hours max, then you only briefly smell it anymore. This might be me just getting too used to it as i wear it so much, or my skin just decimating the fragrance and making me smell like sweat. For anyone wondering to buy it, absolutely do. You will not regret it. Also, Lattafa is offering their gift sets for this fragrance, you get this, a hair mist and deo spray for just around 30euro, a little more than the fragrance itself, it is a great deal for a daily driver, or for someone's special night fragrance. I give it a solid 9/10, one of the greats currently for sure. If you're thinking of buying it and fancy YSL Y, do it.

Too sweet and headache-inducing! The scent is very strong and projects heavily, but is more tolerable after two hours when it becomes more of a skin scent. It reminds me of Invictus and Armani Code Profumo, both of which were an instant no for me because I got a headache after smelling them. This is currently a "NO" for me, but I am willing to give it more time. Edit: I can pull this one of if i spray less than half a spray. Then I get this pleasant scent that reminds me of one of my all-time favourites, L'homme by YSL. This one is a monster performer, though; the other day I sprayed around 3 pm and woke up the next day still getting faint whiffs of it. Edit 2: After macerating for a month, the scent has developed into a much more pleasant, powdery aroma, which I really enjoy! The sharp, bubblegum-sweet opening that used to give me a headache is gone. Loving it now and the longevity is fantastic too! Projects well for 2-3 hours and then remains a skin scent for 6-8 hours. Great buy! Scent: 8.5/10, Performance: 10/10

From south africa. Lataffa has made me stop designer perfumes, they way overpriced and hyped up. Anyway it's hot in south Africa and I learnt that when spraying lataffa your max should be 4sprays,other than that people will complain instead of complimenting you since this juice is sooo potent. I do not care much about notes and the breakdown of notes all I want is to smell classy all day round, and Fakhar does that for me in this hot weather. 3 sprays at 6am when I am going to work, around 5pm then I get asked what is it that smells good on me. It's as if I just showers and reapplied but noo. If u want to se fakhar at its best, spray on skin that's where the magic happens when the skin starts to sweat and fakhar comes in to play. Another fact that I like is that the scent dissapears in the 3rd hour and you think its gone.. NO NO No, people around you can smell u 5feet away yet you can't even smell it on yourself.. It's a good 10-12h projection and at a good price.. I love it... No regrets, thank you

I have both YSL Y EDP and Fakhar Black, here are my takes on both of them. As a general take on the scent, It is the only blueish fragrance that I like, I smelled sauvage, blue de channel and didn't like them that much. But this is much more freshier, easier to wear and enjoyable. It smells like citrusy, fresh, aquatic. For the differences between them, In the opening, YSL Y has more rich and fresh texture then fakhar black which is expected, it smells more quality and it has more depth. As the time goes, they become much more closer. I would say YSL is much more fresh and citrusy and stronger. But overall the similarity is crazy, I would say 90% similar and this is while comparing them side by side, If i encountered fakhar black in a casual day It is very hard to distinguish them.

Like this way better than the Y YSL it smells just richer, woodier with a sexier masculine geranium note that’s just delicious. You also don’t have to worry about performance because of the price, a steal, but it still delivers amazing performance. On clothes it lasts days, on skin, gives a nice 8 hours with an average sillage, then becomes a skin scent for 2 more hours. And yup yup, I see this more versatile than our versatile king from YSL. You really can wear this anytime, everywhere, as long as the situation is not on the verge of anything. You can wear this when it’s not too cold nor too warm, or as long as it’s not a very serious ovation. It also makes for a great air freshener. I spray this in the stinky bathroom at job, lasts a decent amount of time there too.

I’m honestly extremely confused by all these other reviews on here, either this stuff has recently been reformulated or I just got a particularly good batch, but as someone who doesn’t really like the ysl Y line, this stuff is amazing. Maybe my nose just isn’t used to this type of profile but to me it smells kind of like a mixture between ysl y and myself, and it actually lasts a pretty long time on my skin. Honestly, if you need something that’s just a no-brainer ultra mass appealing whilst being interesting, I would totally pick this up for 35$ why not, this now kind of serves this purpose in my collection, if I ever need something that I know for a fact everyone will like that just simply smells good risk free this is pretty perfect for that

So i just bought this today. It retails for $55 here in Australia. In terms of the scent it is clean, lot like a laundry smell of fresh clothes. From owning a lot of fresh blue men’s fragrances this comes the closest into that category. It has a Dylan Blue - Blue de Chanel sort of dry down, but the opening is more delectable than any other blue fragrance currently on the market. Someone mentioned that Y EDP has less apple. But having more apple in this clone would make it stand out more. TBH it has been very tempting to buy YSL for better quality and performance but for an extra $150 Australian dollars i would rather buy 4 of these. Honest rating 8.5/ 10. Hard to hate. But easy to get over.

This fragrance opens with a blast of zingy ginger; it then quickly dries down into a pleasant fresh green apple scent with a bit of that ginger still lingering. Longevity is good at about 8 hours, projection is about 1-2 feet. It’s very similar to something like Y edp or Polo 67 edp. For anyone wondering how close it gets to Y edp, I would say about 90%. If someone else wore this I would assume they were wearing Y edp, but in a side-by-side comparison there are a few minor differences such as a harsher opening and more distinct ginger in fakhar black (which I prefer the latter). Overall a great cheap freshie for $25, if you like any fragrance from the YSL Y line you’ll love this. 8.5/10

Blind bought it. The opening was quite soapy, which was unexpected and threw me off a little the first time I wore it, but it's die down is one of my favorite summer scents. It is a great dupe of YSL Y edp, but also does its own thing. Great easy going masculine scent for the spring/summer. Works great for men who has a difficult time with masculine scents, and for men who just want an every day scent for warm weather. The projection isnt anything crazy, but it lasts a pretty good amount of time. I'd say you get about 6-8 hours off projection from it. Appeals to women more than it does to men. 🫡

Thiis is said to be similar to invictus but this is far better, and YSL? Not smelt that so couldn't say but this as a stand alone fragrance is beautiful, very fresh but a solid quality about it, bought this about 2 month ago but never wore it, i thought that initial spray it smelt a little too synthetic but after 5 minutes it vastly improved, so i put it on the shelf knowing I would come back to it and so after wearing it this shines and I do absolutely love it, anything with a bit of lavender in and I'm interested 8.5/10 😊

I swear to god this is prolly one of my top favorite fragrance. Just a one spray and you get that fruity citrusy apple note. The fragrance is too seductive. I received bunch of compliments from Fakhar Black. The projection is seriously about 6hrs. You can feel the aromatic smell once after you start unboxing. This is a must for a guy in a black suit whether it's club, parties or date nights. Moreover than day time I prefer this during night basis. I'm still melting over the smell god.

I don't understand the forced hate for this fragrance Today i bought my 4th bottle of this parfum, i will macerate it for atleast 2 months and after february i will start using it because the maceration is a must do for this fragrance and bunch of other dupes. Last summer when i was using it i got many copliments, i think the key of it is to overspray it to make it last longer in e heat nights. Also is a good year round fragrance just make sure you spray enough because its fresh one

Hands down one of the best YSL Y EDP dupes out there. Like most people say, you’ve got to let this one sit for a bit. If you use it right away, the opening can come off pretty harsh and the performance isn’t great. Once it’s had time to mature though, it really smooths out and lasts much longer. Overall, I really enjoy this scent—it’s addictive without being too much for people around you. Super easy to wear and works for pretty much any occasion. 9.5/10

Very easy everyday wear for warm weather. Fairly versatile, but unsurprisingly lacks top-end sophistication or maturity. Recommend 3-5 sprays. Opening is pleasant but can be sharp or slightly synthetic-smelling. Drydown is subtle and sweet. Masculine-leaning unisex fragrance to my nose. Well worth the $20-25 on discounters, but may be redundant if you own other citrusy/fresh fragrances.

I’ve already had it for two days, and I’m impressed. The longevity on my skin is pretty damn good, about 6–8 hours. The scent is insane; to me, it smells like YSL Y EDP combined with something from Mugler I’m not sure why. It’s definitely a bit woodier, but for me, it’s even better than other dupes. It’s one of the best cheap fragrances I’ve ever smelled. A safe blind buy.

this is a great ysl clone. I love the fresh opening especially the apple note. its all pretty similar to ysl y If not slightly better. the performance kinda varies for me but the dry down is pretty masculine and lasts a while. I find myself reaching for this one on those days where its too hot for a winter fragrance but not cold enough for a blue fragrance,

This one is nearly identical to YSL Y.. I have this and after a few weeks I put some on and went into Ulta to try YSL Y and these are damn near identical. Good value and has that same profile between the two. These middle eastern clones are so good and so close I don't understand buying any of the name branded ones for 10x the price. Really nice smell.
