His Confession

I've had this nearly a year now, and have barely worn it because it was Ok but unspectacular, and pretty weak, leaning feminine fragrance. The first 12 weeks i tried it, It was mostly creme cake cakeshop, bit of iris, bit of boozy vanilla, bit of wood basenote. It was a bland but nice 6/10. Now a year or so on, its completely different. its retained only about 30% of its identity from the first six months i tried it. I haven't sprayed a drop for over six months and decided to try it again yesterday and amazingly its nearly a masterpiece now. I would just about give this a 10/10 now. Its a bold yet soft balancing act of heavy masculine scent and floral gourmand that gives an aura of the classic yet modern gentleman, oozing class and good manners. The blend is exceptional on this, the balance between sweet, heavy, deep, dark and gourmand is not easy to pull off, but yet manages it all smoothly and gently whilst being always muscular testosterone friendly. I get a kind of Belle Epoque Paris from this, a vibe of the 19th century, ideas, sophistication, art and optimism. Its grimy and deep, dark yet welcoming, light and genial. I could wear this anywhere too, though it feels more of a formal scent. Charles Baudelaire and Arthur Rimbaud probably wore this. This has changed from an ugly duckling into a beautiful swan, turned from a caterpillar into a magnificent butterfly! Boozy vanilla, French patisserie, iris, lavender, spicy leather, smoky cedar combo scentbomb banger. Lasted me all day and is still there now next day softly still working its stuff on my skin. Projection is above average, with longevity excellent. Six months ago it had nowhere near that sillage and projection level. I gotta confess I only really kept this all that time because i like the bottle, i love the ostentatious ridiculousness of it. Its so kitsch, love it or hate it, one way or the other you have to have an opinion on that Greek/Romanesque statuette bottle. Little did i know inside that daft bottle there awaits an absolutely majestic masculine dusky wealthy cologne inside waiting for me if i waited all those days. FANTASTIC shit. Love this. Hoping to use it a whole lot more now. If you have a spare year of your life to wait for it, grab it immediately. Then again, you could die in three months and you wasted your money. 9/10 for me

After a few wears i can finally review this. The elephant in the room, the presentation. I understand why people dislike it, i dislike how tacky it is to store on a shelf... but out of probably anyone in fragrantica i am IN LOVE with roman statues and busts. Like i literally thrift for life size replicas and even have the David statue as my phone wallpaper, so ofc i had to cop this just for the bottle, AND i was also looking for a DHI/GRP dna fragrance, so this basically was perfect for me. Scent I'm kind of tired from work so I'm not gonna delve on any particular notes, just on the profile as a whole. The opening is a woody, herbal vanilla with a slight touch of mandarin that basically goes away in 2-3 seconds, then the tonka and the violet start to come through in what reminds me of a barbershop style fougere but with ofc a ton of sweetness and vibrant florals. The mid is pretty much cinammon, powder and woody vanilla, the main players here are the woods, the mahonial and the cinammon, in this stage i get heavy Bentley for men Intense vibes but with waaaay less woods and a bit more modern with the tonka touch. Also because His confession has a boozy touch that not a lot of people seem to mention. Far dry down is def my favorite part, it becomes a slightly woody, amber, powdery vanilla that's basically a seduction masterclass, i actually recommended you underspray this so you can get the base notes quicker, plus i feel this is a date night scent through and through. Performance is absolutely stellar, not too strong and not weak at all. Leaves more of a trail than it projects, one thing about it is that i feel this behaves more like a parfum. For those who have bad performance you might wanna check a fake vs real comparison since this has been counterfeit already. This is a 10/10 from lattafa in all aspects, quality is definitely one of the best from the house and it definitely is worth the higher than usual price tag. If you love Le Male Le Parfum, Gentlemen Reserve Priveé, DHI/DHP, Valentino Uomo Intense, Bvlgari MIB, etc. this should be right for you.

The result is a gourmand lover's dream, a strong blend of sweet, vanilla, cinnamon, powdery, amber, floral and woody aromas. This is the love child that Lattafa's Khamrah and Givenchy's Gentlemen Intense had together. This is a great option for gourmand lovers as well as those who love a powdery iris note in their fragrance. It differentiates itself from other cinnamon forward gourmands on the market thanks to the iris note, though those that already have an iris forward fragrance may find this a bit redundant. It's perfect for date nights and intimate occasions, but should be avoided for more serious and somber ones. Performance is great and despite the male oriented marketing, this is perfectly unisex. Presentation is great, Lattafa put some effort into this knowing it was a hit though I don't fidn the black male bust on top of the cap as attractive as the white one on top of sister flanker Her Confession. Price is great for this as well. This is niche quality for an online discounter price. A great and very unique fragrance. Highly recommended, especially for gourmand lovers.

(I put on lotion on my skin before I apply fragrance so this review is based off of with lotion.) Hello! I received this as a gift from my ex a few months back. First of all, amazing presentation, the box is very nice, the little writing on the inside is cool, and the bottle is just awesome. Fresh out the box, it smelled amazing. I can’t really describe the smell but it is very sexy and spicy. It kind of smells like if dark purple was a smell if that makes sense. The projection was pretty ok, not too cloying but not too subtle, and the longevity was about 7 hours id say. I put it away a little bit before the start of summer for maceration and it seems to have improved. The opening feels more deep and complex as opposed to fresh out the box, and now it smells a lot better. The spice and sweetness also work together great but I’d say it leans more spicier. The projection definitely went up a level, not only does it feel like more people can smell me, but when I test sprayed it on my wrist when I got it, I could smell it from around the 3 inch mark and now it’s around the 7-10 inch mark. The longevity increased nicely too, it lasts me about 10 hours on skin and basically until the next wash on clothes. This is one of my date night and winter essentials but I also find it enjoyable to wear during the summer if it’s either a colder day or if you’re going to be in an air conditioned place most of the time. Overall, this fragrance is absolutely amazing, it smells beautiful, sexy, and is great for intimate settings but versatile enough for school/work wear. I give it a strong 9.3/10.

ohhh LAWD!! His Confession is pure love. I usually have to suffer the opening to enjoy the dry down but this starts with a nice spice and quickly transforms to a creamy, delicious, almost woody sweetness without being synthetic. It's very linear after the initial spray and definitely unisex as I'm a woman and will be wearing the hell out of it. This is exactly what I've wanted every perfume I've ever bought to smell like-- my new signature fs. The bottle is an absolute masterpiece and vibes with the inner contents indubitably. I can still catch wiffs of it hours later, I just wish it projected a bit more. I'll be purchasing Valentino Uomo Intense to see if it fulfills my wish. Will update when received p.s. HER CONFESSION bares absolutely zero resemblance to her counterpart. it's been about 8 hours and only now is any sweetness coming through after smelling endlessly like dried rice. its a no from me. **Update** Valentino Uomo Intense is much more masculine and doesn't smell like His Confession at all. I'm sad I bought it cuz for the price, I could have had 3 more bottles of Confession lol I also wanted to note, I believed Confession had mediocre sillage and longevity because I can no longer smell it after a couple hours but I've had coworkers ask me what I'm wearing at the end of our 12 hour shift, so it has some lasting power.

I received a sample of this and gave it to my husband to try—and we both fell in love so quickly that I immediately bought him a full bottle. It simply works for him; it’s easily one of the best scents he owns. The fragrance is soft, well-blended, and undeniably sexy—I just want to cuddle up to him whenever I smell it! I understand that some might see this as unisex, or even slightly leaning feminine due to its softness, but to me, it reads clearly as masculine. It’s also elegant and versatile, making it suitable for people of many ages. It’s light enough for daytime wear, yet works perfectly for evening occasions as well. My husband usually prefers spicy, strong scents, while I like him in something a bit lighter. This strikes a perfect balance, satisfying both our preferences. He’s not an oversprayer, but the trail he leaves behind is gentle and soft—just noticeable enough without overwhelming anyone nearby. Some might call it ordinary, but I think it stands out from the crowd, at least here where we live. Longevity is moderate in my opinion, around 6 hours. Unfortunately, the bottle itself is really awkward and impractical, but we can overlook that because the scent is simply heavenly! 😄

Among the best iris fragrances I’ve tried, Valentino Uomo Intense stands out, and the similarity between these two really amazed me. The opening of both is about 80% similar, but after a minute the similarity gradually decreases to around 50%. This one is easier to wear. the iris note is more controlled and better blended. You could say that Valentino and Dior Homme Intense are iris-based fragrances, while this one leans more toward a gourmand profile , around 70% vanilla and 30% iris. This is almost the opposite of Valentino uomo intense , which feels like 70% iris, 20% leather, and 10% orange. Both are truly great fragrances and should be worn in different styles & situations. This one is safer and more versatile overall. The reason behind the negative comments you might see is the iris note . iris is simply not everyone’s cup of tea. So I recommend buying a decant first and enjoying the quality at the lowest possible cost. The juice quality is easily comparable to Valentino. I should also mention that both have moderate to slightly weak performance. Worth the price? Definitely. Signature worthy? Absolutely. Unisex? Yes 7.5/10 (not higher because of performance and longevity)

This is a sweet, powdery iris fragrance with a noticeable creamy vanilla note. This DNA immediately reminds me of Dior Homme Intense and Givenchy Gentleman EDP. To my nose, it’s a creamy, powdery iris. The vanilla here feels thicker and sweeter compared to Dior Homme Intense, and it softens the iris, making it less like a typical makeup-powdery iris scent. Because of that, it comes across as a unisex iris scent. The packaging and bottle design are quite nice in my opinion. Some people say it looks too “tacky,” but I personally think it’s well done, especially with the hard box presentation. The price is also very affordable. Performance-wise, projection and longevity are moderate to long. It’s not overly loud, but it projects enough to be noticeable. What I like the most is how this is an iris fragrance that doesn’t feel too powdery. The dominant vanilla balances it out nicely, turning it into a more creamy, comforting iris. The three main notes I get are iris, vanilla, and tonka, while the woody notes stay in the background as supporting elements. Overall, a very good scent at an affordable price. 8.3/10

First impression from an in-store tester bottle: this smells like a marshmallow style of vanilla and iris. Reaaally nice. I mean reaaally nice. Really smooth vanilla scent. It's so smooth that it feels soft and elegant. Completely unisex. All seasons, but particularly spring. Dress up formal or dress down for gym - akin to how you can dress YSL La Nuit de L'Homme up or down. Longevity seems to be great on paper. YSL Myslf EDP wishes it could be this good. Easily top 10 or top 15 in my 200+ collection. I was whispering to myself "Damn!" repeatedly as I was smelling this. The female store clerk wasn't as crazy about this though. Update: I smelt the tester a few times on different days and man it's good. It's a smoooth vanilla for spring. So I've now bought a bottle and I smell a lot more violet flower with the greenness of the stem, whereas I didn't get any greenness from the tester. Not hitting like the tester did at all. Will eagerly await maturation. Update: After a week of maturation with 5-10 sprays spent, it basically smells just like the tester. The green note is gone. Smells excellent.

Lo compré por la botella, y la verdad no me arrepiento, al día de hoy podría decir que es mi fragancia favorita para frío. Me resulto retador como primeros perfumes, pero me ayudo a desarrollar un olfato más adaptativo a aromas fuertes. Su salida de canela e smuy presente y puede picar la nariz de algunos. Pero cuando seca es un olor delicioso de vainilla e iris. Es cremoso y dulce, encantador, puede usarse de diario en temporada fría pero también para una cena o cita funciona muy bien. Su proyección es de dos horas y después es casi a raz de piel, pero ahí esta lo que lo hace diferente, su estela, en cuanto alguien pase a lado o detrás de ti lo notará enseguida, lo recomiendo mucho para lugares abiertos ya que tiene una presencia muy rica. En cuanto a la duración, no es broma me ha durado más de 12 horas en piel y en ropa podría ser infinito si no lavas la prenda, se pega el aroma en la tela. Si quieres dejar a alguien con tu aroma después de abrazarla, este es el perfume. Muy encantador, y debería tener más reconocimiento.

Honestly, I don't care about its similarity to DHI or Givenchy Gentleman or any other fragrances. To me it is just great scent for its price (less than 30 EUR at this moment). Silage is moderate, not leaving a tail, lasting couple of hours on skin. On clothes it lasts untill laundry. After spraying my jacket I could smell it couple of days later, whenever I wore it. Sweet, vanilla themed fragrance with floral notes, which makes it cozy and warm but not absolutely cloying sticky-sweet like some other fall/winter frags. It definitely has something elegant to it, reminds me of freshly ironed shirt after laundry. Obviously, best to wear in colder weather, probably evening, maybe during a date. But I think it is pretty universal overall, not overwhelming during the day. I would definitely give it a try during some business meetings too thanks to the mentioned elegant vibes. I bought my wife "Her Confession" and it makes a great compliment if you are going out together. Safe to blind buy!

This fragrance for me was love at first sniff. Where I live it's very hard to find shops that sells these kind of perfumes let alone let's you sample so most of my buys are blind buys. Luckily there was one shop that had this and I was amazed by how good this frag was. I ordered it online and it smelled amazing straight out of the box. Very elegant , seductive scent for men. Very luxurious feel. I want to say it's a mixture of many good scents mixed in one. I'm really struggling to describe what it smells like because there is so much going on but hopefully you'll get some idea by looking at the scent pyramid. I'm sorry I couldn't be much of a help describing it but to me this is a fantastic good scent. In conclusion: This could easily be a expensive designer fragrance. So good and elegant. Wonderful scent that I'm proud and happy to have in my collection. Lattafa did it once again. This is top quality for sure. Perfect scent for special occasions with an exclusive feel.

Some might think its tacky but I think its pretty cool standing tall above my collection. The scent definitely surprised me, I hadn't tried an iris scent before but this is honestly pretty incredible. The kind of scent you sniff on your arm and your eyes close lol. It's extremely relaxing whilst also perking me up from how 'sexy' it smells. The cinammon and lavender do the heavy lifting and for the mandarin is there right at the start but then fades away scentwise but leaves a refreshing undertone. When it gets to the vanilla base it's just so damn good. It's always a hard toss up for a date night type fragrance whether id wear this or Le male Le Parfum. Id say the latter is probably sexier and more suited but this is more unique and interesting. Overall 4.6/5

Nose Note #821 It's something between Dior Homme Intense, Gentleman EDP Boisée and Valentino Uomo Intense. All four are very very similar, so if you like any of these you'll be very satisfied, but personally I think Gentleman EDP Boisée is the best iris dominant mens fragrance I've smelled and also one of the best performing. His Confession is noticebly weaker and less projecting. I have a lot of niche, designer, luxury fragrances and I'm sort of tired of most UAE fragrances really underperforming compared to them... Of course, for the price you can't really complain. But still this deserves a lot of praise. The composition is beautiful, much much better than La Collection D'antiquités 1886 which had the iris note too powdery, making the DHI DNA a lot more unisex. This one here is just right. Iris fragrances are definately not for everyone, but the majority of people around seem to really enjoy the scent. 8.6/10, outstanding

I'll be damned, expected some dollarstore toilet water but this actually smells good bro. Puzzlingly fresh, being a full-blood Arabian Smells more expensive than the tag for sure, I got the five star hotel vibe from the opening, which is a sign of a well put together fragrance and quality ingredients. To be honest here, it is a novel version of Givenchys Gentleman EDP Reserve Privée, but does it better for less bucks. To my nose its less green but also less sweet, which is an improvement and makes it much more masculine and bad boy. The Givenchy I loved but I had to ignore that it was on the verge of nausea sweet. By the way, why are people always hating on any innovation in bottle design? They hate the robot, they hate the teddy bear... I for one am so done with the dime a dousen glassbottles with no brand distinction, love that this is over the top and classical. I would put it as a piece of art in my living room.

Let me start this by saying I do enjoy this fragrance. It smells good, it just confuses me a little. What I get is amber and vanilla mainly. But take that with a grain of salt because I’m not the best at identifying specific notes unless they’re obvious. I’d say I get decent projection because when I did a test spray I didn’t have to fully put my nose to my hand to smell it but Ill continue to test it to see how it last on my skin. But if you want a simple sweet and like date night sexy fragrance I would definitely recommend this one. This is one of those fragrances I could see a girl getting up on your neck to smell. It’s like and addictive, sweet and soft scent. On smell alone I’d give it an 8.5 out of ten. My only problem with it is it smells a lot only bit weird to me and I can’t pinpoint what it is. But it’s not a smell that bothers me at all, it just confuses me a little.

The bottle is just as devious as the fragrance at first. At first glance, the bottle was tacky af to me. The plastic greek bust up top is honestly so extra but man, over time its gold eyes kept looking at me and I warmed up to it's intricacies more and more. The scent at first spray was cinammon spicy with a smooth iris and a very warm sweet base. Overtime, the scent has become stronger, SO much fuller, the vanilla / amber / tonka combination is beautifully composed with the woody cypress and elegant distinct iris. This fragrance smells nowhere near as cheap as you can buy it for. If you love iris, if you love vanilla, and if you want a fall / winter elegant date night or special event scent, this is the perfect pick. Longevity 7 hours, gentle projection after 4. Decided to blind-buy His Confession, according to fragrantica suggesting it is closest to Gentleman EDP. Never smelt the Gentleman EDP but i can tell you that this thing is close to Dior Homme Intense, but with a significant twist. His Confession is noticeably sweeter, creamier, and more powdery. It feels less formal. I actually see this as a Dior Homme Intense for a younger guys like good for clubbing or date night fragrance for guys in their 20s Edit: After leaving it more than month to macerate the notes are more smooth and more blended, the fragrance isn't strong powdery and iris that gives headache. Now is more wearable it reminds me of DHI but like bit more sweet and powdery and i really enjoy it. 8.5/10

when I first got this, very loud and sickeningly sweet, gave another 10 sprays for good measure, let it sit for almost 3 weeks, it smells like an Iris Vanilla Cinnamon bomb, and I love it, I like to layer this with Eros Flame as it works perfectly for the rest of winter and I imagine also during spring, people will look back on this frag as a classic when the Neo-gourmand era is in it's prime, it's Gourmand done right, where it doesn't smell like some dessert, at its core, it's a vanilla/tonka fragrance with a prominent powdery Iris with a hint of lavender, and the Cinnamon cuts through the sweet creaminess, I think tobacco in the top notes would have made this a masterpiece
