Just Oud Boulevard

I finally got my hands on a pre-hype, older release from Lattafa — back when they were crafting their own unique creations rather than simply mimicking other fragrances. This long-lost gem had been sitting on my 'I want' list for ages, but I gave up hope of finding it. I always keep an eye on marketplace sites for great used deals, and the moment this appeared, I purchased it without hesitation. From the very beginning, Just Oud Boulevard Edition is intense. It opens with a striking blend of saffron and spices, resting on a cardamom-vanilla base. There's a subtle hint of brandy or a similar type of alcohol, lending a warm, boozy nuance. At first, it feels like all the notes hit you at once, but as the scent evolves, floral notes emerge more distinctly. Over time, the base develops richer, leathery, oud, and woody qualities, showcasing a noticeable progression in the scent's evolution. Instead of the typical heavy, smoky, and intense oud, the fragrance surprises with an overall experience that has a slightly powdery feel, teetering on the edge of gourmand with hints of coffee or chocolate-like notes, making it quite unusual for a composition involving oud. In the drydown, the fragrance becomes smooth and soft — a stark contrast to its bold opening. This is definitely not a beast-mode fragrance. While its projection is strong at the start, it settles quickly. However, the longevity is above average, ensuring the scent stays with you for hours. Best suited for winter or cooler evenings, this fragrance offers a cozy, comforting embrace. It leans masculine, with its mature and sophisticated profile. The vintage-style bottle is a nice touch, though it's a bit disappointing that the wooden-like element is cheap plastic. True wood would have elevated the packaging to match the fragrance's quality. In some ways, this fragrance reminds me of Raghba. While Raghba leans sweeter, more gourmand, and unisex, Just Oud incorporates more spices and leather-woody-oud notes, making it more masculine by comparison. Simply put, to me, it's like an enhanced, niche sibling of Raghba. At €16, this was an unbelievable steal, though its rarity makes recommending it a bittersweet task. For collectors, it's a real treasure. If you can't find it, exploring similar options might be better. Alternatives like Bentley Intense might offer a comparable experience. A testament to the brand's earlier days when originality defined its creations. It's one of those compositions that show Lattafa used to play in its own league before moving toward a business based on mimicking popular fragrances. PROBABLY MY BEST LATTAFA (brief review) Just Oud Boulevard offers an incredibly beautiful spicy start (saffron and cardamom) that confuses the nose like a strong tobacco note. The vanilla chords are ambitious and well-spiced, providing a warm, creamy aroma, brightened by a deliciously sweet floral point (lily-of-the-valley). Then the woods start to appear with a smoky, precious tone that slightly diminishes the initial sweetness. The woody chords are a little leathery and smoky. The woody-earthy nargamoth develops on an amber, sweet and creamy vanilla background. Slight swirls of patchouli and cypriol, fresh and earthy, coexist with the floral sweetness. This stage (top and heart) remains for most of the perfume's life. The oud facet, also present, with its characteristic tones, mixes with the other emerging woods. In the dry down, we also have a woody, sweet and resinous leather, with slightly smoky tones, all on a bed of very ethereal and light musk. An oriental mastery to take your hat off to! It's a sweet, resinous, spicy (mimicking tobacco), smoky fragrance with woody and leathery tones. My opinion: It's not a recent fragrance and it has not been released with the cloning fever of 2022 and 2023. Get one flask before it disappears! Music: Carly Simon - "You Are So Vain"

I tested this on an outlet and upon returning home after 30 minutes I put on my right arm Bentley Intense. It is indeed similar. But I understand why some people are downvoting the similarity. This one is more potent. It creates some distortion by its potency. The notes on the Pyramid are off but the accords are good. I will buy it even though I have Bentley intense which I adore by the way.

I blind bought this fragrance because of the saffron/leather accord that I crave so much. Upon testing it, I pick up the s/l thing along with oud which is nice. But there is also a concurrent, dated vibe along for the ride which I assume comes from the patchouli and musk (idk). This fragrance is both modern and old-school; the bottle design being really old-school.

This is a lattafa that's over a decade old now. It's an original creation and I darn good one too. Definitely blind buy worthy and performance is fantastic. Has a pressurized atomizer too. 9/10. I get oud, leather, vanilla and cardamom.

For me this is the best Lattafa oud (and leather) perfume. It's a real joy to wear and a huge pleaser. Finally I found a complimet magnet in an oud scent.

Lattafa notably already produces a clone of that called Afro Leather, but it's certainly not beyond them to release fragrances that are quite similar to each other, such as Vintage Radio and Al Nasham. Just Oud Boulevard is a wildly different and pleasantly surprising take on an oud fragrance. Forget your expectations of a heavy woody smoky stinky fragrance -- this will upend all your expectations. It's a complex and very good blend of sweet, woody, spicy, leather, oud, vanilla, powdery, amber and floral musk aromas. The aroma actually comes off a little more like a gourmand fragrance, almost like coffee and chocolate. A very neat olfactory illusion, as it were, until you focus a bit and realize what the notes actually are. This is a very masculine fragrance and not unisex. However, it's certainly a lot gentler than you'd expect, so it may throw off those do enjoy a stronger and more traditional oud fragrance. This is great for date nights and social occasions. Performance is average so be prepared to overspray to start and respray throughout the day. Presentation is very cool, it's a throwback to the late 70s and early 80s a la Stetson Original. This is a great take on oud, one even those who dislike oud would appreciate. Recommended.

I concur with the review below. This is very much like Bentley Intense especially at the start and although they dry down a little differently they're close enough in mood to make one redundant if you've got the other. There is a slightly woodier aspect to the dry down on the Boulevard that the Bentley doesn't have. Soothing, masculine, rich, pleasant and inoffensive. Not all of them work with me but this is another happy buy from Lattafa.

Really Nice scent for the money very weak though very much a skin scent this is only after wearing for 2 days I'm a heavy sprayer even so it's very weak anyway if it improves may come back to update

REVIEW | 90 ml purchased from Premium Services 247 I blind bought this based on the comments here that it was like Bentley Intense. I own Bentley Intense so I'm familiar with its notes. I always try be fair and I hate to leave bad reviews, but in this case I'm left with no other option. Firstly the picture on the item description showed a 100 ml bottle/box. I received a 90 ml box/bottle. Worse still when I sprayed the fragrance it was like Bentley Intense that has went out of date. Unfortunately it smelled truly awful. I got a cheap, sweet, sickly, nauseating, synthetic (burning plastic) smell that was so minging that I had to wash it off immediately (with bleach). I will never forget how bad this fragrance smelled, in fact I'd go as far as to say it's scarred my olfactory receptors for life. Yes, it was that offensive! It's a pity there isn't a 'bucket of baby vomit mixed with RAID Wasp killer' icon as a choice under the 'This perfume reminds me of...' section, because that's what I would've chosen. Maybe it's went off? ...or I've been ripped off? ...because this smells nothing like the bottle of Bentley Intense I own. Based on my particular experience, I really can't recommend this.

Why am I first to review that? Well, since I take all the risks these days( including trying to separate two fighting cats) I will give you the lowdown. Sensational! The first spritz produces a marathonic rush of all the notes to get to the top and greet you. This is the moment I knew it would be love. Spice, Oud, leather, resin, patch, wood all compete successfully for your attention giving the most seductive oriental aroma. Oud here has the typical Lattafa DNA, deep, smooth, smoky. This powerful and aromatic coexistence goes on for a long time. Leather here has a rather boozy touch, like wearing a Belstaff leather jacket and enjoying a glass of rum. The sweetness is so balanced and expertly spiced it left me speechless. Hours later and boozy leather softens allowing amber and wood to surface but, make no mistake, saffron,oud and leather run the main event. I can detect patch in all this harmonious mix too. All the notes here are blended to perfection. This is in the Tom Ford league and super affordable, a luxurious winter warmer and worthy of anyone's top place in their wardrobe. Unisex. Another total winner and compliment getter from Lattafa. Bravo.

This is different to the other lattafas I own - often they smell alike. Much lighter than I expected, which, as a woman, I was a bit disappointed about. I haven't every smelt Bentley for men but I imagine that it could smell like this, I oaid £13 Just reviewing next day - edit - this didn't project at all. Maybe save your coins - wouldn't recommend I also am smelling that plastic note

Very simple comment,this is fantastic for Oud lovers that project really nice and last very long,for the price this is fantastic perfume for a little bit warm weather...Sweet but good..Anyway try before you buy,maybe someone not gonna like but it is safe for blind buy... very prominent with cardamom, saffron and woody notes, with amber. its such a sexy opening and gorgeous bottle and price range is so good. only weakness is its not a beast mode frag. but if you love these fragrances, tf oud wood, creed royal oud, versace oud noir, tf amber absolute and also armaf niche oud, you will love this.

I can see the some finding similarity with Bentley intense, I did at first. This fragrance now makes me feel unwell and I can't wear it. A sickly sweet plastic note now shines through which I just can't tolerate. Maybe it's gone bad. It's going in the bin, something I don't do lightly with anything, especially a fragrance.

First spray and bam! Immediately thought of Bentley intense. It quickly changes but has a similar warm cozy feel to it. If you like Bentley intense you will enjoy this fragrance. Very nice and cozy

This came out in 2014...memo Paris African leather came out In 2015 and is a straight up clone but cost 5times the price. Both smells good but just not for me.

this didn't have the type of oud that made me smell like a donkey. 3/10, too smooth.
