Khalis Musk (Pure Musk)

I’ve finally found it. My dream perfume. I’ve been searching for so long for a fragrance that is sweet, but also fresh. I ventured onto all sorts of vanillas and fruity fragrances. All sorts of gourmands that didn’t work well on me. Fantasy Britney spears, Vanille outremer, bare vanilla victoria secret, coconut passion victoria secret, black opium, Scandal JPG and so many more. Each time I convinced myself I had to stick with those ones as they are gourmands I was satisfied with but I knew it wasn’t enough. I then stumbled upon body shop white musk and was blown away by how much I liked it, and also found that musks were the type of sweet and fresh I was looking for. I then ventured further onto the musk universe (lol): White musk jovan, al rehab white musk and perfume oils online. I stumbled upon white musk tahara and was blown away even more by how clean and sweet it is, it was truly perfect. And then I found this. The best one yet. It smells like someone dressed in all white, running into a field of white jasmine, white lotus and vanilla. It’s beautiful. Perfect amount of sweet and perfect amount of clean. It’s honestly wonderful. I found that most gourmands are very sticky, dirty and very difficult to wear. Most of them smell like pungent perfume and if not that it smelled too sticky as mentioned earlier if it was more realistic. One example of a perfume I was quite repulsed by would be black opium and palmers coca butter. It wasn’t the end of the world, but I found that it did horribly to my skin chemistry. But this? Doesn’t smell perfumey at all, it smells natural, but also synthetic in the best way. This is the only type of perfume I can walk past someone and it would lift my day up. Fresh clean, crispy, sweet. It’s just perfect in my opinion. I feel so put together when I wear this, and it truly boots my confidence. Here are the actual notes from the website I brought it on: Top Notes: Musk and amber Middle Notes: Musk, rose and sugar Base Notes: Musk, woody notes and vanilla The notes are perfect in my opinion, musk in all the notes, the top being amber, the middle having rose and sugar, giving a perfect balance of sweet and clean. The rose I will say you won’t smell it at all, it just blends together with the musk, the vanilla and the woody notes so perfectly well. The funniest part is how affordable it is, the longevity is so spectacular as well. This, coach Women’s EDT and J’adore are my favourites ever. Love it. I will say if you don’t like the smell of fresh laundry, if you don’t like the smell of sweet musk and cleanliness and want of a more “unique” distinct scent this isn’t for you. For me this is perfect, I feel anyone can like this though and to me it isn’t boring at all.

I have recently obtained a 100ml bottle of Lattafa Khalis Musk at a deep discount. I am an admirer of Arabian Musks & Egyptian Musks ....and also an admirer of the Lattafa brand of fragrances. Nothing less than great experiences with the Lattafa brand. The bottle design is beautiful & artistic , another signature of the brand. The quality of the atomizer was A+ , and sprayed evenly & generously. Pure Musk by Lattafa: A sparkling & smooth white Arabian Musk fragrance with several subtle nuances for the trained nose to discover...or the untrained nose to save into their olfactory memory. Its important to remember ....when buying fragrances and having them go through shipping...they MUST have time to settle in order to be their truest self. What an excellent fragrance... It indeed is a pure Arabian musk...with a sparkling & anamalic opening...morphing into a delicate yet very tenacious powdery Egyptian cotton or linen. Very very slightly lactonic...in a mild way. Something perhaps like an oily Castoreum note slightly resembling the faint aroma of coconut. There are suggestions of white florals that appear towards the dry down in a very subtle manner. A very pleasing and relaxing, yet still exotic Unisex Arabian Musk. Delicate, comforting, sensual & lofty Musk in all its glory! Another exceptionally beautiful fragrance by Lattafa. **** A note to the buyer **** If you are expecting this fragrance to be a very complex array of many notes & many different accords...you must remind yourself that this is Pure Musk. Allow yourself to bask in the elegant simplicity of a pure musk fragrance. Go on.......Treat Yourself. Your Worth It. The Verdict : EXCELLENCE

I am here to offer a somewhat different perspective from the other commenters, and to echo what commenters like nerdboy83 and cunt dracula said: this is a very lovely scent, yes, perfect for that clean smell that many people like to go for. On the skin, it doesn’t put people off, though at times allowing people to sniff my bottle has garnered comments like “this smells like a grandma!”. It was also a very good gift for my sister, someone notorious in my family for not liking any perfumes at all. But what I want to give attention to is that this fragrance also shines when layered underneath another scent. I’ve read before that some people use musk underneath their oud, and while I can imagine they mean a more concentrated oil, I’ve been using this. Personally, I put it underneath almost ALL my other scents; I spray it before rolling on my oud attars, spraying my other vaporisateurs, and even under Khamrah Qahwa. Something about it just works — it adds a deceptively long lasting freshness to serve as a canvas for other fragrances. Maybe I’m mildly insane and this is superfluous, but something about khalis musk just makes me feel cleaner when I already strive to spray on clean skin. Also, the bottle is incredibly fun. That’s the only word there is for it— it tickles and enriches any mind that has been addled with Arab perfume, like mine.

Pure Fresh Clean Powdery Musk fragrance, It's smell similar of "AlTaharah Musk of Abdulsamad Al Qurashi", I adore to wear it in Ramadan month and on Friday but this perfume not special of these times, This fragrance you can wear it any time during the day or at night, in winter or summer. It lasts 12 hours or more the leather and one day on the clothes. This fragrance not synthetic in a noticable way for me specially after Slaking this perfume. In General I advice any one buy Lattafa perfumes to macerate it from 2 - 3 mothes, it seems that Musk mixed with powder in a Clean interested way. I was searching for a fragrance that mirrored the scent of Johnson’s baby powder and their cologne. And guess what? This is spot on. Upon the first spray, it immediately evokes a clean, comforting, and nostalgic feeling. But don’t be deceived—this scent can easily become overpowering. Keep reading. I picked up the 50ml bottle for just five bucks. Definitely a great value. Wow. Now to its bad aspect. I made the mistake of overspraying it on my shirt. Big mistake. This fragrance is potent and can become overwhelming—almost dizzying, even cloying. With the same number of sprays, it’s actually stronger than Oud for Glory. It clings to the skin and projects directly to your nose, creating a headache-inducing experience. I quickly grew tired of it. I learned my lesson the hard way. Moving forward, I’ll apply it to lower parts of my clothing, keeping it far from my nose. Don’t underestimate the strength of this fragrance. I ignored the warning of a reviewer below, and now I’m paying the price. Be cautious with the sprayer—two sprays will likely suffice. I may also use it as a room freshener or bed spray, but it will be used sparingly, as it lasts for hours. A failed blind buy for me. Sad.

I haven't left a review in quite a while; reason being...I lost my husband unexpectedly. He was a large part of my perfume journey--didn't have the urge to review. Then, my new fragrance by Lattafa arrived the other day--Pure Musk. I liked this so much, I wore it two days in a row! Something that I never, ever do. Pure Musk starts off daring. Kinda like something you've never smelled... It starts off slightly masculine, yet floral, with a slight musky backdrop. As it dries--about 15 minutes into the fragrance--a delicate, powdery delight emerges. To my nose, Pure Musk works for most casual occasions. I can't wait to try it, as the air crisps outside. I think it'll be a total showstopper as the weather cools. The packaging is very nice and unique--perfect addition to any collector's collection! Not a safe blind-buy for most--but worked out perfectly for my lifestyle!

Crisp, clean and airy. I was looking for a "stepped out of the shower and wrapped myself in freshly washed fluffy towels" smell, and she definitely delivered. Great for days when you just want to smell clean, or when you need to give your nose a break from all the wonderful bottles in your scent collection. Contrary to some reviews, Pure Musk doesn't turn powdery on me, but continues to project exactly as it came out of the bottle: pure and clean. The bottle itself is very pretty with gorgeous glass beads inside and gold and silver patterns on the front outside. The perfume left an oil smear on a silk blouse (my fault, I oversprayed (O_o)), but it came out with some tender care. Totally would buy again.

Omg.... this. Is. Absolutely. Beautiful. From the very first spray I was in awe of this gorgeous clean musky smell. It's more white musk imo but a very sweet aaaah just gorgeous smell. I was hoping to find it on fragranticas data Base. A friend gifted me this and I couldn't find the brand name or anything until I read the very small calligraphic print. So glad that I will be able to buy it again when I run out. Edit: and I agree with archivist (review below mine) it does have a sweet coconutty element to it, and altho some coconut averted ppl might find this off putting, I can assure you it only adds to the greatness of this gorgeous rich long lasting fragrance. Mmmmmm. So yummy.

Wow. Such a simple, yet effective use of ingredients... ingredient*. For a £15 buy, I must say this has outperformed some of the expensive perfumes I own. And there's not a single takeback either. The smell is actually great! A fresh/powdery musk. The freshness reminds me of Acqua di Gio Profumo, the way it opens your nose and clears your sinuses, and the powdery musk creates a comforting feeling, like your mother putting an extra blanket on you when you're unwell. The perfume is (for me at least) unisex, however I'd understand if one may think of it to be more feminine. To end things off, a definite yes.

Arabian perfumes have not disappointed me yet! I bought a decant from lifestylewithtrish.ca since I don't like to commit to full sized bottles right away. This Pure Musk from Lattafa might be my TOP 1 perfume for summer days. I can see this perfume being worn by both men and women. It's fresh, airy, and perfect for this hot weather. At 38-40 degrees this summer, it made me feel fresh all day, like I had just come out of the shower, surrounded by freshly washed fluffy towels. I'm absolutely in love with it! You can wear it alone or layer it with other scents. I ended up buying a full-sized bottle

I fell in love with this from the first sniff. Light, soft, fresh, so Devine. I love the bottle as well, classic clean lines with gold and silver embossed swirls, added to that which you don’t see in the images are glass opaque balls inside the bottom of the bottle. Classy touch. This has lasted a fair 4-5 hours on my skin which I am happy with and also makes this fragrance perfect for layering. I definitely get a vanilla and a white floral note, not a coconut? Hope I can find this again as I was lucky enough to get the last bottle on the website that I found it on.

if you own musk al-tahara, this is a 99.99% DEAD ON match to it, in the best way. personally, i can't wear musk al tahara a lot because of how sticky it is (sensory issues), so this spray has that creamy musky goodness all in such a pretty bottle. good for all seasons (might perform worse in winter, because it probably won't project as well since it's not a fragrance that makes a "statement", it's just for people who simply like to smell fresh and like newly-cleaned laundry). creamy, musky, and unisex. probably great for layering with citruses and other musks too!

Beautiful, light, clean, inoffensive, and by far the most versatile fragrance I own, suitable for any weather and occasion. I can see how westerns can be a little put off by this as this type of scent as I assume it's unusual to most, but if you're familar with those little blue or white 'Musk Al Tahara' perfume oils or 'attars' then you'll like this as it is genuinely the very same scent in a sprayer form. My biggest issue with the attars was the inconvenience of putting them on and the sticky texture, this fixes that.

I love this fragrance. It’s true, she’s very similar to Musk Mood by Lattafa, but I find Pure Musk to be slightly less soapy and harsh. Pure Musk also has a tiny bit of sexiness to it that MM doesn’t, which is why I reach for this far more often. This is a clean, warm, sexy, fresh perfume and I wear it when I want to smell good but not cloying or harsh. It has good longevity, about 6 hours for me, and decent sillage. This will absolutely be a repurchase-worthy scent for me.

This was a blind buy and I'm so happy with it! It's the perfect amount of clean/powdery and layers well with other perfumes as well. I wear it out of the shower, to bed, to work, to run errands, it's truly a perfect clean scent!! I'm just a little hesitant about which layered scent I want to wear out, so I just wear it on its own. I'm looking forward to experimenting more with layering and seeing where I land with a 'signature' scent for the year!! : )

Milky, musky and powdery, a round scent that makes me feel the way I felt when I was wearing Musk by Alyssa Ashley in the 90s: A comfort, cozy scent that makes you smell like soap, clean, and ready to take with peace anything life will throw at you. I love the sound of those glass beads inside the bottle, every time I reach out for this perfume, it adds up on the experience of using such an ethereal scent.

A simple scent profile done to perfection. Laundry detergent is an accurate description as stated by others here. There's definitely something floral blended with the musk. It gives it an edge over similar fragrances. It lasts much longer than any dry musk fragrance I've tried. Unisex and good on its own or layered. Simple scents like this surely have a place in one's collection.

this is very fresh and attractive. it opens up with sizzling soapy notes, which get fattier as the perfume dries down. soft florals, cashmere, cotton and a touch of musk is what i’m getting. it’s like taking a morning shower in ur hotel room, windows wide open, sea breeze blends with the luxurious scent of hotel shampoo and u feel the cleanest u’ve ever been

At first I couldn’t stand this fragrance as I thought it smelt like straight up cleaning chemicals but giving it about 6 months to macerate has made it smell SO much better. It is now a beautiful yet simple musky sweet smell. Anyone who owns this fragrance and doesn’t like it just give it a bit of time to macerate, Love her 🫶🏼🫶🏼

This perfume smells exactly like musk tehara attars (thick oils). I actually have the perfume oil and it's very lovely and surprisingly nuanced. Yes, it smells clean and soapy but there is a very subtle fruityness to it. Maybe ripened, mellow plums? I wear this to work and I think it's great for close quarters.

This is a great powder fragrance. The powder here is fresh and thin, there is a little sourness, which is refreshing. The magnificent design of the bottle, thick high-quality glass, stones like diamonds inside, a pleasant leather cap. Great for a gift! Perfume is above its price

This was a blind buy. When I first sprayed it it reminded me of the classic dove blue cap dedorant. I instantly loved it. Been layering with Armaf CDN woman and deliah blanc. Or just on its own is beautiful. If you like the comforting smell of Dove then you will love this.

This was a blind buy! And I am so happy I bought it. Clean fresh smell and it just absolutely gorgeous, doesn’t last as long as what I want it too, ideal perfume to wear to work. Must say it is one of Lattafa’s nicest perfumes.

sooo clean, lovely, fresh and inoffensive. you can wear this all year around, it is white-floral, musky perfume. a compliment getter!!! And lasts all day. I love it so much, such a great value.

Powdery, Fresh and clean. I like to pair it with a vanilla essential oil or perfume to smell like fresh laundry. Randomly got compliments for it. Only for spring and summer though.

Loved this fragrance from first spray. Fresh, clean and lively musk, slightly synthetic at the beginning then rounding out to a lovely lingering sweetness. Feminine in my opinion.

Love this!! It's a subtle and wearable - year round! Layerable too. I do smell rose in there (very delicate) with sweet musk. Pretty linear scent. Simple and sweet.

Just finished my bottle. Safe to wear for work especially healthcare settings. Very inoffensive perfume. You can wear it on its own or layer it with other perfume.

A sweet powdery/soapy smell. Very nice smell for work or everyday use. Sometimes it comes off a bit sharp but sometimes its creamy. Nice affordable clean scent.

I so love it...let it macerate...its clean and fresh...on a sweet side...and so powdery...oh and unparalleled as a base.

So this purchase was also another blind buy but I kind of knew what to expect since some of the reviews compared this to musk al tahara which I already have in attar form. The attar version is a thick creamy substance that is very strong and smells exactly like a bar of white soap. Very clean fresh, airy and powdery. Well that's EXACTLY what this lattafa perfume smells like. This scent is perfect for those very hot summer days where you perhaps sweat a lot but want to smell as if you just stepped out of the shower. Perfect for really hot days when any perfume just smells to heavy to wear. It's a recognisable smell that feels neutral so to speak. Pure soap smell. I personally like this smell a lot but would also advise to go easy on the sprayer because too much of this will smell heavy and suffocating. I don't think too much of any frag is good in general. Overall a good purchase worth the low price. I'm happy with it

Woah! I sprayed this on at 12:30 and I can still smell it at 21:00! With just 3 big sprays (which in hindsight was already a little too much...) this is a beast imo! Considering that most fragances dissappear within 4 hours on my skin, I'm really quite pleased with this. Like the other comments: this is fresh and clean, a clean laundry/linen/soapy kind of smell. But if you spray on too much it gets too overpowering and overwhelming really fast. The clean fresh smell turns into something overly artificial mixed with barn yard-y musk and tbh it smells off & little rancid. But with subtlety, this is a great, refreshing, inoffensive, uncomplicated, very long lasting, feels like you are wearing clean clothes and just came out of the shower, cheap fragance. The comparisons some people in the comments make with the blue/original dove soap and the alyssa ashley white musk oil fit really well too, imo.

For me, it changes depending on the placement. On the cap or on my clothes it is soapy and even more powdery, like a neutral fabric softener (not the flowery one, but just "clean"), which reminds most people of their childhood. Very charming and serene, however, very simple and somehow cliched at the same time. On the skin, it changes a lot! Sweet powderiness is gone and soft musk dominates. It is very sexy then but not in an aggressive and offensive way. I feel it smells like waking up on a Saturday morning in really good quality white sheets. Despite the first sniff, which is very powdery, it is unisex. It is also versatile in terms of season and occasion. To sum up: soft, mellow, sexy, musky. I like it a lot. I paid less than $8 here in the UAE which sounds just crazy.

This is a simple, clean, & fresh musk scent. If you don’t like musk scents, you won’t like it. If you don’t like clean scents, you won’t like it. It’s mild & definitely office safe because by the time you get to work...after spraying it all over...you’ll barely be able to smell it. Then by noon, in the privacy of your work cubicle, you’ll literally have to pull your shirt up over your head & bury your nose into your chest to be able to maybe get a whiff of its remains. Unless you already have your own personal musky scent...because of your Ph or from eating a bunch of onions and garlic...you should be marked as “safe” with this one. Hey...For $18 on the Amazon...who can complain.

I really do enjoy this perfume, but it’s not a love... only due to personal preference. on my skin it’s a bit too powdery, leaning into dusty, and can become nauseating if I don’t layer it with something else. When I bought it off Amazon, it came with a cologne spray that I’m a surprisingly more of a fan of! (considering my love for “girly” perfumes) The cologne spray is pretty unisex and has a sharp musk opening, and turns sweet quickly on my skin. Overall a great set that I like to layer with due to its incredible price point ♡

Very clean and fresh. Makes me think of that smell you get when you pull a perfumed Kleenex out of the box, but that itty bitty piece of tissue is STRONG. Dry down, however, is where the good stuff is. Like a very hot iron on clean linen that's also been toasting in the sun. Once the initial light floral goes away, you're left with this deep sunny clean scent forever. (I was curious what musk tahara attar was like. I got the same heavenly clean linen smell from Khadlaj's Musk pour Narcis.)

Smells like wet tissue or baby powder with a lil twist in the dry down that reminds me of the old paper smell. It’s not typical powdery musky dry down but don’t expect too much, nothing so complex or unique here to dig for. If your intention is to look for a new horizon of musk perfumes, skip this, or sample it first. But if you don’t mind spending small bucks for bedtime perfumes frenzy, there’s a good chance you won’t regret it.

An extremely feminine, sweet, powdery and musky smell. Too much of this can become sickly but it’s a great smell. Would go well with layering another perfume such as juicy cotoure. The bottle design is aesthetically pleasing. Nothing too flashy. The 100ml bottle comes with glass beads inside for a unique appearance. Buy off Amazon and they give u a free 30ml smaller bottle. All in all, a decent purchase for the wife.

If you love clean and fresh scents, this is for you!! I got this in a bundle with the matching deodorant for $16 from Fragrancenet.com. It's pretty strong and lasting. Large sillage. I use this somewhat as a "finishing perfume" the way some people use a finishing spray in their makeup lol After I spray my gourmand perfumes, I spray this one about once or twice. It gives the impression you just came out of the shower.

Got a free can of this with my order of “Raghba” by Lattafa. I’m not sure how much the fragrance smell differs between being in a can vs a bottle but this is a very classic, clean and powdery scent. Kinda reminds me of clean clothes out of the wash. Safe blind buy if you’re into the listed notes. I’m not really a powder kinda girl so I will not buy a bottle of this but the free can is nice lol

I also have Afnan's Pure Musk, which smells a little different at first but after drying down it's almost the same scent. Lattafa feels a little more feminine. I love this kind of scent so I ended up collecting a lot of similar scents 😂 I think Afnan's pure musk is of better quality than Lattafa's. I think this pure musk is suitable for layering.

This is just like Arabian Oud's 'Asalat Al Musk' but with vanila. And just like the aforementioned scent, this too does not last. As lovely and clean smelling as it is, it lasts for about 30 minutes then is gone, no matter how many sprays to drown yourself in. If anyone can reccommend a clean Arabian scent which actually lasts, then let me know.

Sweet musk, creates a very clean feel. And although I think there is a noticeable synthetic quality to it, like most Middle Eastern perfumes, I can appreciate the extremely good value for money it provides, coupled with the beautiful presentation with the transparent beads inside a heavy glass bottle.

This smells great. While the votes say this is feminine, i think it's unisex. Reminds me of clothes softeners. The bottle is great... And lasts as long as musk usually does. This is a great gift for anyone. It's also extremely cheap. Nothing to complain about here.

This is for the body spray...to me it is quite similar to Swiss Arabian's Musk Tahara, but more subtle. The two layered together would make a great deodorant pair for daily use. A warm clean musk with just a dash of Play-Doh scent. Pleasant.

This is in no form a Dupe of Prada Candy,its just pure musk with baby powder scent.I actually do love this,as i use it to layer strong oud base perfumes such as Shay oud and Oud bouquet. On its own, it doesn't last for more than 3-4 hours.

The scent is simple to describe. It smells like a stick of Dove deodorant/antiperspirant in the original clean scent. I get powder and musk. I’m not sure what is in it that smells like soap to others but I don’t get any soap.
