Khamrah Qahwa

Khamrah but someone took away its syrup bottle for like, 5 seconds. Personal: 8.5/10 – I like this just as much as the original, which is annoying because now there are two of them (and well, actually 4) Mass appeal: 8/10 – Still very likable, warm, sweet, and cozy, but the coffee makes it slightly less universally easy than regular Khamrah, in my book. Performance: 8.5/10 – Strong, long lasting, and dense with the same words of caution as Khamrah about overspraying. Nothing changed. Value: 10/10 – Still absurdly good for the money. Lattafa remains a menace to Estee Lauder, L'Oreal, Puig, and all the others. Uniqueness: 5.5/10 – Similar to Khamrah, even further from Angel’s Share, but still living in the same sweet winter amber neighborhood. SCORE: 81/100 Full bottle buy? YES, if you like Khamrah but wish it backed off the sugar by about 8%. Blind buy? YES, but only if you like sweet gourmands and don’t hate coffee notes. If not, like Khamrah, you can smell this one at any mall Kiosk too. Recommend? YES, especially if original Khamrah sliiiiiightly too sweet. Or if you like coffee notes. Date night? YES, warm, cozy, sweet, and inviting. Office safe? NO, still too dense and sweet for professional captivity, though two sprays will still probably be fine come winter time. Pros: Slightly less sweet than Khamrah, still smooth, strong, affordable, and very wearable in cold weather. Cons: Coffee accord will not work for everyone, still very sweet, and not dramatically different from the original. Khamrah Qahwa is basically Khamrah after one responsible adult entered the room and said, “Maybe we don’t need this much syrup.” Not a lot less. It's still sweet, syrupy and loud, but like, not AS bad. This didn't turn Khamrah bitter, dark, or mature, like the coffee note in Tom Ford's Cafe Rose, it added a Dunkin Donuts Iced Coffee with 14 pumps of sugar. It's still really, really sweet. But it pulls back enough that I notice and appreciate the adjustment, since Khamrah is at my personal ceiling for sweetness tolerance. The coffee note is a tradeoff, really. I'm picky with coffee in fragrances because it can easily turn cheap smelling, burnt or dusty or even stale and weird, pretty quickly. Here it mostly works, but I don't know for sure that I enjoy the coffee note more than I enjoy the absence of the small amount of sweetness it's replacing. Therein lies the tradeoff. Less sweetness, but coffee instead. It definitely brings in a darker, more roasted feeling edge, meaning that Qahwa has a bit more personality than the original, but it means that for me, it's inherently more difficult to love. If anyone compares THIS to Angel's Share, they're legitimately crazy, and they must have never smelled Angel's Share. Regular Khamrah was distinctly not a 1:1 clone, rather took the Angel's Share DNA and ran with it to make its own thing, and Qahwa strays even further away. This is less boozy-spiced apple pastry and more sweet amber vanilla with a coffee flavored shadow behind it. But, because of its coffee note, I feel that this strays even further from what Angel's Share is. Not in a bad way, necessarily. I'd put it right next to Khamrah in terms of my enjoyment, honestly. Not above or below. Same score, slightly different mood. If Khamrah is syrupy winter dessert, Qahwa is syrupy winter dessert with coffee nearby. It sounds like an insult but it isn't. I wear and own both. I like both. I'm aware I'm part of the problem with that, but what's new. I Gravitate towards Qahwa as being ever so slightly more mature and formal than Khamrah (despite both fragrances being neither mature nor formal) though they are, for all intents and purposes, almost interchangeable. Greetings from the hot and tropical country of The Philippines! (and my first review on fragrantica) I blind bought this since I was already familiar with the original Khamrah DNA - a sweet, boozy, and mostly a cinnamon-based fragrance. I own fragrances like Angels' Share and Oajan, and Khamrah is right up that alley of delicious cinnamon heaven. Despite the heavy difference in price and other stereotypes on Arab Dupe Houses, I appreciate Khamrah as a fragrance on its own, and not as a 'dupe' or interpretation of Angels Share. That's why I loved it. But I was starting to think that my obsession with cinnamon-based fragrances would be redundant if I bought Khamrah, having 2 already great fragrances with similar DNAs would sound crazy right?! So I was hesitant on buying the OG and waited and waited. Until Lattafa announcing a flanker last December. Aromatix on YouTube basically stated it in a fragrance convention that it is basically Khamrah, with a coffee note. That's it. I blind bought it, and here are my thoughts after a week of wearing it. My thoughts: -Lovely, absolutely lovely. You still get the original Khamrah DNA, but with a simple addition of a "Qahwa" or Coffee note. It smells like a candied and sweet Nescafe coffee blend. Which is absolutely delicious! Performance: (On my skin) -10 to 12 hours, projection is very strong for about 4 hours. -I had the mindset of Arab Perfumes being "BEASTMODE", but ever since I got many dupes/arab fragrances brands from Fragrance World or Paris Corner, my mind was set to disbelief as most of those fragrances didn't last long AT ALL -But this is a genuinely long-lasting fragrance, and it is no joke. Verdict: I wanna eat myself every time I wear this, in school I got 8 compliments the first time I wore this. I wore this on my research thesis defense, and I even got a compliment from the panelist. And of course, if the girlfriend loves it, I gotta love it aswell :D note: this is my first fragrantica review, i know there are more things i can improve on :D thank you! and oh man do i smell good XD

My first fragrance for winter, and my second Arabic fragrance. Let’s start with the scent itself: it opens with a strong boozy accord. Half liquor, half burnt caramel. The first hour feels somewhat unusual (not bad at all), slightly powdery to my nose. It quickly turns into something much more enjoyable. It feels rounded and harmonious — a boozy, caramelized coffee with a strong vanilla presence. This is my favorite stage, and it can last up to 5 hours. As time passes, it doesn’t become worse at all; it remains exquisite. The vanilla gradually takes over more and more until it eventually becomes the dominant note. On skin, it regularly lasts close to 24 hours. It’s beastly. Projection is massive as well: after being out for 7 hours and coming back home, my brother commented that he could still smell it strongly. Even after 10 hours, with only 3 sprays. Occasions: I use it as an everyday fragrance. It’s not like I have many other occasions to wear it anyway, unfortunately... I wear it to university, the library, or simply when going out to run errands or walk around the city. I don’t think it feels inappropriate — not because of the scent profile itself. But with this fragrance, you’re always walking the line of potentially overwhelming people because of its strength. I would try to avoid wearing it on sunny days, or only use it during the first hours of the day. -15°C is where it truly shines without question. Though naturally, indoor environments will be warmer, which is why I say this fragrance is always pushing the limit. No more than 3 sprays unless all you’re going to do is walk outdoors. Even then, I probably wouldn’t go above 5. For enclosed spaces, the best approach is probably 2 sprays on the sternum, always underneath clothing. It reminds me a bit of going to bazaars with my mother when I was little — in a good way. It feels distinctly oriental.

I just got this from The Oud Store. They're a little more pricey than what I'd expect but with a discount code it was worth it for me. So I got in a full day's wearing of Khamrah Qahwa (Coffee) in the nice cool Midwest autumn air. This is a brilliant mix of the Gissah Sava/Angel's Share type fragrance but with a nice pronounced coffee note at the base. So, I would usually layer OG Khamrah with a coffee fragrance and coffee based deodorant from KAFX before this came out. I layered using(at different times not at once)Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo, Uomo Signature, Galleria Cognac Cafe, and Kerosene Followed. *Don't mix Kerosene Followed with anything just an FYI. The stuff never I mean NEVER washes off.* Khamrah Qahwa! This is a very welcome flanker for me in the Khamrah line. It smells just like Khamrah off the initial rip and always in the background has a good bitter coffee note. The dry down is the same as OG Khamrah but again, with the very present coffee note hovering in the background adding more complexity and sexiness to an already great fragrance. I'm glad Lattafa saw the obvious progression for the Khamrah line here and they executed perfectly. I get 12 solid hours off my skin. I can still smell it on my jacket 16 hours later from 10 ft away. So it's a beast. If you enjoy this type of fragrance DNA you will want to get a bottle.

If you buy this PLEASE don't over spray it. Around 6 sprays is just enough, and this is coming from a person who loves to over spray. The scent profile is just crazy good. Cozy and creamy vanilla with a coffee edge almost like latte with a good amount of chocolate. Also really a nice syrupy type of scent that just makes it so addictive The longevity is straight up just ridiculous. You can easily get 12+ hours with projection that lasts 3+ hours. Scent profile: 10/10 (smells EXTREMELY high quality) Projection: 10/10 Longevity: 10/10 Price: 100/10 (I found mine for under 30 ) Uniqueness: 8/10 (if it wasn't for the coffee note it would've been lower) Compliment getter? Easily Overall rating: 10/10 Final thoughts: If you are looking for a cheap beast mode winter fragrance that actually smells good and is also unisex, Khamrah Qahwa is without a doubt a perfect choice. Another thing is that the bottle design and presentation is straight up HEAVENLY. BUT BEWARE DO NOT BLIND BUY THIS. Since its so sweet and unique I suggest buying a sample so you don't get your money wasted.
