Khashabi

Khashabi means woody in Arabic. And that's exactly what you get once it's dry. It's quite pleasant smelling with citrus, jasmine, and woods (not oud, maybe cedar and/or pine) being the notes I pick up the most. It's hard to pin point what this smells like but in a way, it's kinda of a woody crossover between Aventus and Reflection man. IT DOES NOT smell like either, but I do get a slight hint of both with this. Past the opening, It's 70% woodsy 30% floral and that combo makes it last longer than average. I think it leans more masculine but a lady can rock this too. It's safe for all seasons except winter, imo. A nicely blended different smelling fragrance to try and an immense value for money. Edit: After spending more time with this, I find it to be a play on the Aventus DNA. They took away the sweetness and amped up the floral and citrusy side. I definitely pick up Patchouli here too. In short, it's a "dry" Aventus. Not a clone though... it's totally its own thing. It's a beautiful scent, especially when it's warm outside.

Very Elegant beautiful bottle and presentation for a Lattafa frag. This cost $22sgd at Mustafa (16usd/12.70pounds/15euro). Solid, standing, Bronze Bamboo designed bottle. It opens Cirtusy with floras, however it seems pretty linear to me and the woodiness and prominent musk in the drydown exist in the opening too, especially more prominent after the cirtruses goes away. I'll say performance is above average and you probably need to like musk to like how the scent develops. But it's a pretty nice linear scent for men due to its musculine nature throughout. It smell kinda niche and this isn't a mass Appealing scent, nor does it have that ME dna/vibe that exists in certain Arabian frags. It's probably worth a collection for the bottle design and presentation of the bottle for the price itself. Safe to overspray without any complains.

The sillage is more on the low-key side, so it's not the kind to fill a room, which may actually be a positive for those who prefer a scent that's personal rather than broadcasted. In short, Khashabi's worth a sniff even if you're just in it for the eye-catching bottle. But if you delve deeper, you'll discover a scent journey, elegantly weaving together its diverse aromatic elements. It has some of Club de Nuit Intense Man in it, for sure. Anyone who likes citrus fragrances and is already a fan of such icons as Light Blue, Acqua di Gio, CK One, orPerry Ellis 360 Red for Men will immediately get and like this. It's a good blend of citrus, wood, floral and powdery musk aromas. The florals could be stronger, to be sure, to make it stand out a bit more. As is, it's very clean and refreshing. This is purportedly a clone of Kilian's Bamboo Harmony which I have no experience with. Just a look at the Fragrantica notes, however, and you should realize that the fragrances are nothing alike. Bamboo Harmony seems to be focused on herbals to complement the citrus a la Sedley/Maahir Legacy whereas Khashabi does so with light florals and wood. Both are great approaches and worth your while. Khashabi is good for both sexes, shines in warmer weather and outdoor activity use, has good performance, and has a beautiful bottle presentation. All this for a very good discounter price. There is a lot of competition in the citrus fragrance market, though, both in the designer and clone realm. Still, this is a very nice addition to anyone's collection. Recommended.

With the price and how nice it looks on camera, i expected the bottle to be cheap feeling plastic... I thought "surely it cant be both beautiful looking AND quality feeling at this price." .... I was wrong. This bottle is SO nice for this price. Possibly the most beautiful bottle in my collection now. This should have been a bottle in the Lataffa Pride series; it's even way nicer than some of those. The scent is good, too. Bone-dry citrus and woods. Little bit of florals. Little bit of patchouli. Straitforward and inoffensive. Suitable for both professional and casual wear. Something about it reminds me Starwalker Extreme, but no tonka bean or sweetness of any kind.

I own both this and Bamboo Harmony by Kilian, I’ve owned this long before I even knew what BH was. It had over a year to “mature” and even after that I can definitely confirm it doesnt smell like BH. Not even the same vibe, two completely different things. Anyone who upvoted BH in the “reminds me of” section must’ve just voted it without trying either. Only similarity they share is BH has Bamboo in the name and Khashabi is a Bamboo stick. Other than that its a very woodsy scent with some slight citrus and florals, nothing ground breaking but I can see why some people are so repulsed by the smell, not for everyone for sure.

Smells like saw mill/freshly chopped pine/fir,coniferous tree. Opens up with bergamot/lemon. Mostly smells fresh woody with touch of white flower(Jasmin) and citrus. Smell modern and very good summer/spring scent. Filthy cheap for under 20$. Would catagorise this as unisex leaning masculine. Do try !!

Smells like burnt wood mixed with standard freshie good for gym or sleep or summer nowat trying to get noticed but wanna smell clean 6/10

Clean crisp citrus, aromatic woody. Nothing to dislike, very linear very simple. Bottle is beautiful.

I look at the smells like and I am not too familiar with many, and the ones I do know are nothing like what I get from this? Bottle is interesting, hefty and eye catching if that’s your thing, the atomizer on my bottle is the absolute worst, so I have to decant the fragrance for use. The scent itself has an Aventus style opening, bright citrus. Dries down to woody notes without the smoke. I really don’t pick up on the florals much, which is really needed because the scent just comes up flat. Not great on performance either. Just sprayed it on my hand again, the opening is the highlight, but not that great. Don’t get me wrong with the Aventus comparison, this would be the most watered down fresh note version of an Aventus style twist ever made, it is not (hopefully) trying to be a clone of that again. And if it is a clone, I have not come across the inspiration. I have had my bottle since the original release, used it infrequently around the house since that time and really have little use for it. I don’t recommend this one, even at a low price it is not worth having. NOTE This does have a touch of that soft white musk in the dry down, a note I have never been overly fond of.

According to Lattafa, the notes are as follows: Top: Bergamot, Lavender Heart: Patchouli, Amber Base: Leather, Dry Amber and ( Arabic "dayim" which according to google translate means Everlasting. On Lattafa's English language page, the word is translated as "Evernly". For an hour or longer, it smelled unisex on me. Later it smelled unisex leaning towards masculine. It was a blind buy. Now I am a little confused by the fragrance pyramid that Lattafa gives. Edited September 2023: Alas! Now it smells totally masculine on me. From start to finish typical manly scent like the ones that men used 30 years ago. I get Lavender, Patchouli and Wood (Moss? Oud?).

God, I wanted to buy this so bad mainly because the bottle is absolutely gorgeous, but luckily I had the chance to smell it first at The Oud Store in San Diego. This fragrance is an incredibly harsh woody concoction that is probably the first Lattafa perfume I was really disappointed in. Despite their prices, I associate Lattafa with quality based on the perfumes I have from them that I’m incredibly happy with. This one is just... badly blended? It smells low quality. Not gonna spend too much energy on this one, but man I just wish it smelled so much better because the bottle is S-tier.

Experimentei na fita olfativa na loja, foi lindo, que perfume top, mas eu apliquei na pele e não gostei. O perfume é meio sintético, não é ruim, tem um cheiro de limpeza meio verde, mas é só isso, o perfume nao evolui. Ficou 6 horas na minha pele com o mesmo cheiro e projeta moderadamente 1 - 1,5 hora por ai. Eu não recomendo, pelo preço eu pegaria o salvo da maison alhambra que é agradavel para o dia a dia e é mais presença (é a minha opinião apenas)

Another disappointment for listening to reviewers. My fault. Generic fragrance, almost like something you'd find in a supermarket. I don't smell any wood notes. I would describe it as ‘synthetic bamboo perfume’. The top and base notes are synthetic citrus. Perhaps I can redeem this purchase by using it as a layering fragrance or bed linen freshener.

Of all Lattafa perfumes I have ever purchased, this is the only one that I regret. As other reviewers have noted, this fragrance is harshly woody. What bothers me the most about this, though, is how incredibly generic it smells. It's not even a wearable generic perfume, though.

this was a total bust one of the worst blind buys in years & totally regret buying it and a few others from this house . its almost unwearable & disgusting

This is a very nice elegant bottle and quality fragrance for its price. I honestly took a chance on it based on the look and price. And I knew lattafa doesn’t disappoint. The only problem I have with them is that their scents are mainly incense and our scents and string ones at that. But then again that’s what UAE/Arabians like and are known for. As for describing the scent, think of a super dried out wood that still has its lingered scent from being wet covered in moss and a bright acidic lemon being cut open. With white florals layering it. No leather, nice woods, fruity, sugary, marine like scent here. This is as earthy as it gets. As one reviewer mentioned wondering what this scent is a dupe of, I don’t think all lattafa scents are dupes/clones/inspired by other famous fragrances. I believe lattafa also create their own fragrances and oud based ones at that. This is one of them. If I had to choose a fragrance that this is a dupe or similar too, I would say this reminds me of something Ramon Monegal would have in his line. Maybe it is a deep of one of those.
