Maahir Legacy

Lattafa Maahir Legacy is honestly a pretty decent fragrance. My only issue is the Longevity and sillage. I love the 'Sprite' like opening, and I also love the musky powdery drydown/base notes. With my bottle, I mostly smell notes of lime, mint, grapefruit, ambroxan, vetiver, and oakmoss. I sometimes can smell notes of lavender, tonka bean, and pepper. Overall, it opens up with a fresh lime soda 'Sprite' opening and drys down into a musky powdery like base. I also get like a fresh, gunpowder like smell in the drydown which I honestly love. That gunpower smell or 'note' that I'm smelling might be the ambroxan note but it kinda reminds me of the same smelling gunpowder note in 'MOON DUST' by Min New York. This scent grew on me and I've let my bottle sit and matured for a little over a month and I'm already seeing improvements in overall scent profile. But my main issue is still present. The performance is still quite moderate. I get maybe roughly 4 hours on clothes and sillage is pretty moderate. I don't get many whiffs of this projecting off my clothes like I do with my bottles of Asad Zanzibar and Nitro Red. My bottle of Asad Zanzibar projects very nicely alongside my bottle of Nitro Red.. so it's a bummer for me when I wear Maahir Legacy and I don't get the same results. I'm a sillage guy and I like wearing strong sillage fragrances. Maahir Legacy (at least at the moment) isn't one of those strong sillage fragrances. I'll let my bottle mature some more and if the performance changes then I'll edit this review. But for now this is my final thoughts. Not bad at all, pretty decent spring/summer wear fragrance, and is worth the $20. But for a Eau de Parfum, it sure does perform more like a Eau de Toilette. I find reviews comparing $25 fragrances to $300 fragrances to be less than helpful. Especially because they usually throw in subjective comparisons to cleaning products. What, there are quality differences?! Here is what you need to know: If you like clean lime, fresh spearmint, bubbly juniper, well-applied jasmine and a lightly sweet and smooth tonka, you will like this. Along the way there are flits of oakmoss, rosemary and artemesia which provide a counterpuntal light bitterness with rich soil undertones; as well as bits of fougere and what I would call a "good doctor office" accord. It evolves several times. The sillage is subject to anosmia and is stronger than it seems. And while the sillage settles into an aromatic tonka with light florals, the nose-to-skin scent emphasizes the earthy, bitter, spicy notes. Really quite interesting, very pleasant, and a bit mature without being austere - on its own, without reference to anything else. I have tried Sedley several times, and it is very nice, obviously nicer than this. But it is not "$345 good," at least to me. This is definitely "$28 good", maybe even twice that. Look, I understand that when you have spent $350, you are going to get defensive when someone says a cheapie is "just as good." But those who compare this to Sedley unfavorably have to remember that for most of us, there is a price/quality ratio, and for 1/12th the price, this one is a winner.

This is probably the most surprising clone I've purchased by far. Right off the immediate opening, it isn't harsh or off, compared to most other cheapies. Probably since mine is a 2024 batch, it has had time to maturate in storage. The opening is a very cool and refreshing lime soda vibe — I'm getting mainly lime, with a cool, refreshing aromatic accord, vetiver, and ambroxan. It really does smell like Sprite or something similar. The mint here isn't too distinct nor toothpastey, unlike in many other mint fragrances. Not like the mint in Versace Eros, for example. It's just a mildly sweet and cool note. In the air I get more of the lavender, but not so much up close. On the drydown, it's a sweet, dry vetiver, with a powdery musk. Very pleasant and refreshing in this 40+ Celcius heat I'm currently in. Performance is alright, I get about 5 hours of longevity on my skin with 2 hours of moderate to close projection. I wore it to a 1-hour high intensity gym session and it was still detectable afterwards, albeit barely. On clothes however, it lasts a while. I'm still getting whiffs of it from my shirt, well over 12 hours post application, and I'm not even sniffing my shirt closely. The only con is that the bottle design is unnecessarily zany. The bottle is easy to grip but the cap pokes the skin. Overall, I am very impressed, and this is going to be a high-heat summer staple for me. ✅Excellent

Since last year I'm wearing Maahir Legacy till now almost 1 year, without realizing it, I used Maahir as much as I'm wearing my daily signature scent Issey LDPH, (can say 300ml per year) because today I just found out my second bottle almost finished and need to purchase the 3rd bottle. I'm sure it's because I'm really comfortable wearing it. So it deserves a review here. I tried sedley already and know the scent is not exactly the same, Maahir Legacy got more fizzy and very minty, but for someone who lived in a consistently humid hot country, this one suit me better, I liked the sensation of cooling effect when wearing it on sunny day, and also the dry down is very clean smell and work very well with my sweat. I was worked out 3 hours playing tennis, and after going back home took off my t-shirt, my wife saw me, smelled me and she thought I just took a shower already. 20$ for hot daily activity is very wonderful, I just hope it can perform more or at least stick around as skin scent for along time.

Smells like an aromatic, minty Sprite. This is very delicious and honestly one of my favorite freshie DNA's of all time. Most citrus dominant freshies you encounter tend to lean heavy on the lemon to give them their zip but the lime in this is beautiful and really sets it apart for me. I have smelled Sedley multiple times at the local Nordstrom and have even smelled it side by side with this and they're nigh indistinguishable for me, 90-95% similar. Really dumb reach even more so than most of my other freshies because of how good this is. This pulls compliments. Also performs better than some comments would lead you to believe, I can still smell this projecting off of skin like 4-5 hours in, even more if I spray on clothes too. I do believe mine's performance improved a bit after some maceration though. For sure one of my best buys and one of Lattafa's best efforts.
