Maahir

Maahir by Lattafa is my first middle-eastern cheapie. well, my first middle eastern cheapie that isn't a direct clone of something. it seems like, for the price you pay, the middle east has a lot of fragrances that would smell very unique to a western nose like mine for a chip-cheap price, which is why the buzz around some of the offerings from Lattafa and Rasasi interested me a lot. first heard about this one in a youtube video from Smelly Cat, who really sold this one as a very high-quality scent with an amazing presentation for a low price. the notes listing looked very much up my street, but multiple reviewers have said it smells nothing like the notes listed. which is true and it isn't, in a weird twist. every note it says is in here (and some it DOESN'T say are in here are as well) but it doesn't smell like exactly what you'd expect. Maahir starts out with a big-bang of oud and saffron, notes that are nowhere to be seen in the listing. the oud is a lot of things; medicinal, boozy, rich, a bit smoky, HELLA STRONG. this isn't a beginner-friendly oud and i am a beginner. this completely threw me, as i wasn't expecting it. the review below saying this is a "nuclear projection smoky oud" isn't the whole story but yeah, i can see that being a part of it. it does NOT smell bad but it does NOT smell like what my north american brain thinks when the word "perfume" comes up. my mom hated it when i gave her a spritz, and said it reminded her of being in the hospital during my grandfather's last moments. fragrance is tied to memory for a lot of people and is highly subjective. you may react like my mom and instantly hate it. needless to say, this makes Maahir a highly unsafe blind buy for those that don't know they love hog-wild powerful ouds. (addendum to this paragraph because i don't know how to fit it in more holistically: the opening smells a bit nicer in the air than when your face is close to it.) this gigantic blast of middle eastern KRAFT dies after about 15 or 20 minutes, and immediately turns into the boozyness in the "peach bellini" accord. it does not smell much like dry white wine, but it does smell like alcohol and peaches. perhaps more like the liquor in a peach daiquiri. i guess the bergamot was supposed to give it that dry prosecco tang but that got lost somewhere in the beginning Oud Storm. some of the medicinal funk hangs out at this point as well but not a ton, by now Maahir is beautiful, soft and sweet fruits and flowers over a very oriental base of sandalwood and vanilla, with the oud/saffron taking a backseat. a Fruity Floriental, if you will. the fruits aren't fresh or incredibly distinct, but i do get "peach" and general "red berries" in this cornucopia. Maahir's florals, on the other hand, are sweet and fresh like they would be in a women's fragrance, which i think is why they chose to call the peony note in here a... well, a peony note. it's rosy but in a fresh way, not in a spicy (geranium-y) way or in a more refined powdery way, and that's kind of refreshing for a fragrance in this style i think, comparing that to my only true rose-oud. (review coming soon) for a unisex fragrance it doesn't go too far into the Femme Zone for most dudes, but is certaily not a Masculine Fragrance. does a good job of striking a balance between masculine and feminine energies. this is a very sweet and alluring concoction, and i'm sure it'd work well as a date night or even a clubbing fragrance due to its deafening loudness. the base is sandalwood and vanilla. and it's gorgeous, smoldering, sensual. definitely the easiest to love/least controversial part of Maahir. you get the vanilla from the mid onward, but it shines here. it smells opulent and warm. i don't have much to say about it. (weird, i know) if this is the fabled "Lattafa Vanilla Drydown,' i'm a big fan. Boring Review Stuff: Middle Eastern Hidden Gem Edition -if you think florals are feminine, this leans feminine. if you don't, it's unisex. the peony note is very prominent but i personally think this would smell very luxurious and sexy on a guy. -the value on this is INSANE. i got it for 29 dollars on fragrancebuy and it smells very very high quality. i didn't mention this in a review, but this comes in great packaging and the bottle has an inch-thick glass base and a full metal cap with great detail on top of smelling expensive and exotic. the value may be poor, however, if you buy it and hate it. if you have a way to try this first i'd recommend it. -fall and winter, and no more than 3 sprays unless it's bitter cold out. this is a loud, loud fragrance -speaking of loud, projection/sillage is nuts. beyond arm's length for sure. perhaps a champ for the coronavirus pandemic era, def a ""mask dropper"" (jesus why is fragcom like this) -no idea about longevity yet as this is my first time wearing it but i'm imagining a strong 8-10 hours. i'll update this later with better numbers, maybe. The Point of All This is that Maahir by Lattafa has a heavy bottle, a heavy oud opening and a heavy value-for-money proposition. it's Unisexy. It's Floriental. it's many portmanteau'd adjectives, and it's a fragrance that deserves more love. if you're interested in the style or just want to try something new, this is a cheap and wonderful entrance point. 8.5 Joy Amin List Videos out of 10

On the initial spray, i get the whiff of a juicy indian masaala paan, especially Banarasi paan with the kattha and tobacco. Which then starts the transition very soon in minutes, from some pleasant fruity rosy fragrance towards vanilla, powdery, woody accords. Then it settles down to powdery woody somewhat like sandal along with vanilla. Very good like gourmand perfume to some extent. Which all together imitates the smell of dark chocolate with vanilla flavor and it also gives smooth Tobacco note in the drydown and considering that, it probably leans towards a masculine fragrance, but could be used by both without any trouble. Not cloying or overwhelming at all. Unless you smell it upclose which you shouldn't.. Never smell non-linear perfumes upclose unless you are upto some chemical research, as it will make you nose blind for a while and you won't be able to smell the sillage bubble it creates around... Let the sillage do the work. Performance - Good 7 to 10 hrs. 8/10 Sillage - Around 3 to 4 feet. 8/10 Overall scent - Worth trying if you like dark fragrances. 8/10 Price - Great for the price. 10/10. I blind bought a full bottle of this beauty and I’m glad to have it in my middle eastern frag collection. Apart from designer and niche, I have a nice collection from Rasasi, Lataffa, Armaf, Swiss Arabian and Afnan. I have so much respect to the quality and strength of middle eastern fragrances. This is so elegant and powerful, a fragrance fit for royalties. Don't talk about potency coz this one isn't foolin around. That bold looking bottle with the imposing golden horse cap means serious business to say the least. Obviously there’s Oud in here but not listed and I dunno why, but this is a magnificent creation at a reasonable price. The scent profile kind of reminds me of Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade which is so expensive and the very affordable Franck Olivier’s Oud Vanille, so I can't be any happier to have this in my collection. The strongest I have before this are Attar Al Guthra and Oud Maknoon. 10/10 to my nose 👃 “Let's spread the scents of peace and kindness. I’ve been wearing Lattafa Maahir for quite some time now and OH BOY! I’m having a hard time keeping my hands off it. Lattafa Maahir is a wonderful vanilla fragrance mixed with a powdery sandalwood note and a subtle peach note. The performance is amazing! Two sprays and it projects like a beast during the first 4-5 hours. It tones down a bit over time, but it’s still noticeable during the next 6 hours. 10+ hours longevity! Additionally, Lattafa Maahir is perfect for autumn and winter, it can be worn any time of the day, and it comes at an unbelievably affordable price for a 100ml bottle. Although Lattafa Maahir is a unisex fragrance, the drydown is different on women and men. On women it smell more sweet, musky, and fruity. On men it smells more smokey, woody, powdery, and a bit ambery. I suggest you test this fragrance before you buy if you aren't familiar with Middle Eastern fragrances. Even if you decide to buy it, keep in mind that Lattafa Maahir might not be an crowd-pleaser. Some will find the scent too overpowering.

At first I thought this was a typical Middle Eastern woody floral(rose) fragrance(think half of all Al Rehab oils), but I've changed my mind a bit on it. It does have some familiar notes that we are used to, but it has some new tricks(or at least new to me). So it does have a beautiful woody florals(smells similar to rose to me), but the rose smell is very sweet and fruity. I don't know if people eat or drink the flowers in this, but this makes me want to try it, because it smells so edible. The powder, vanilla, and creamy sandalwood back it all up making a fantastic smell. So it's basically a hybrid Middle Eastern and western style gourmand. Excellent performance all around too. I'm glad these Middle Eastern companies still make fragrances like this instead of just clones of well known mass appeal fragrances. I don't think this one is all that divisive, and is pretty easy to wear I think.

Bought this with Opulent Red from Lattafa (both blind buys) and thought I would surely love this more straight away but found it incredibly strong with even one spray. I guess Opulent Red took less time to evolve on the skin. The second day after buying both I just wore Maahir and absolutely fell in love. On the dry down is definitely an incredible statement of oud but after a couple of hours the rose definitely comes through with vanilla. It really is a beautiful rose and oud combination so definitely worth it to add to your collection if you love that combo. I can understand the Rose D'Arabie comparisons but I feel as though this is slightly more oud dominant but overall a gorgeous fragrance.

I blind bought this fragrance out of a bet with a friend, and oh my god... what a great purchase! I don't recommend blind buying any fragrance at all, I got lucky with this one, I heard very mixed reviews on this, and I was surprised by it, to me it's a very interesting scent but at the same time very pleasant, it is suffocating especially in a crowded setting, so don't overspray it sine as I tested it lasts long and projects very well. Overall if you can, test it first, and only buy it after that. Maahir is a weird scent, but it’s either you love or hate it. Very very musky rose is what I get initially alongside noticeable peach and leather/oud.

This is a beautiful spicy/oud/rose/saffron dominant perfume. The Fragrantica notes are completely wrong. There's nothing powdery about this at all. If you know Ted Lapidus Oud Blanc or Swiss Arabian's Shaghaf Oud (sweeter) then you'll have a sense for this. Although the saffron in this formula seems a tad synthetic and dominant, it's still a lovely offering in this oud/rose category. Nothing groundbreaking but still it holds its own and is lovely to wear on a cold winter day/night. Performance is strong but not quite 'beast mode'. Lasts on my skin for about 5 hours, on clothes for much longer.

I for sure agree with what Bo-Chan said in the review below. This is a real quality scent. On me it goes thru "stages"....all pleasant ones.....the drydown is awesome. It reminds me of some other scents also....but I cannot figure out which ones...yet....lol. Pretty decent performance, and I would say...yes....unisex. I love this !!! Today I received the latest Lattafa Maahir.....Black Edition...(not here in database yet) WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A stunning scent...at first sniff !!! Same "horse" bottle...but all black....tacky...lol...but..so cool .

I got this because I was told its a dupe of Xerjoff “More than Words”. Well no, not at all and to my nose/ in my skin not a single bit! This smells like old ladies perfumes. My aunt gave me an YSL Opium Fleur de Shanghai that I suppose is from the late 90’s - early 2000’s and to me it’s almost identical. Not saying it doesn’t smell good, its just not what I was looking for. Probably it will get better as it stis. I do really think this is worth its money and still a good perfume if you like that sort of vintage smells.

$25 for Maahir Gold and suddenly oud and rose went DEFCON 1 over smoky sandalwood and peony. People just froze mid-two-step like, “Yo, who baptized the DJ booth?” Some dude swore the smoke machine leveled up after I passed by—nah bro, that was me. I’ve still got my eye on the Black Edition, but Encre Noire Extrême already locked down the “corpse in latex” aesthetic. For now, Maahir Gold’s the official autumn starter pack: pumpkin spice latte for demons. 🍂 9/10, would happily fumigate another dance floor.

The unrelated perfume pyramid posted must have been made for another Lattafa horse-logo perfume, (About 10 Lattafa perfumes have some type of horse logo) Maahir perfume Pyramid is rather simple: Top: Saffron + Bergamot Mid: Rose (Damascena) aka Turkish rose - Rose Bvlgari - Rose Arabie - 'Taif rose Base: Oud + Vanilla Like other traditional Arab Oud/Rose female perfumes it was meant to be a night sensual skin scent. Can be unisex if you are in a cool climate

Just came here to say that some people here in the comments compare this to shagaf oud and I def agree with them. I love this, this fragance is very warm, on my skin it's a mix of sandalwood, vanille, rose, leather & oud. It might not be the most original out there scent, but it's like the love of something familiar, cozy and nostalgic. It's heavy, has strong sillage and lasts about 4-5 hours on my skin.

This is basically Shaghaf Oud with an added leather note. It's a typical Middle Eastern DNA. Having said that I like it. Shaghaf Oud is extremely sweet whereas here the leather gIves it a slight edge. The notes listed here are wrong and according to Lattafa these are the actual notes... Top notes: Saffron, Rose Middle notes: Akigalawood,leather, Dry Amber Base notes: Oud Mood Accord, Vanilla, Musk

The negative reviews are primarily due to the perfume's reasonable price; if it were expensive, they would try to embellish its image and claim its niche, etc. Another point is that Westerners don't like animalic accord, so they don't like this one, whereas in the Middle East we use incense a lot, and this fragrance smells exactly like incense.

These are the notes, according to Lattafa: Top notes: Saffron, Rose Middle notes: Akigalawood,leather, Dry Amber Base notes: Oud Mood Accord, Vanilla, Musk I picked this up for $25 at Burlington. It’s very similar to Oud Satin Mood, Oud Bouquet, that type of DNA. Definitely an “in your face” cold weather fragrance.

POWERFUL!! Just a few sprays in the air right out of the box. I'm not sure if you need to let this macerate.... but I'm going to. It's really nice. All 3 from the Maahir line are fantastic. No reason not to get all three. Cheap and punch way above their weight class.

Firstly I love the bottle & got this as I was born in the year of the horse. No regrets, it’s a beautiful oud & sandalwood scent. You do not need to overspray this as it is a beast. With Maahir, less is truly more. 12 hours later and I can still smell it on my wrist.

Such a beautiful fragrance. Smells like luxury and is unisex. You need to mature the fragrance for few months to get performance. Do 10-12 sprays and let the bottle sit for 3-4 months. It lasts 12+ hours on my skin. It will be a Staple in my collection.

Never underestimate the power of an Arabian cheap house... SOTN: Lattafa Maahir A beast mode with monster projection. I detect florals mainly rose with very decent oud. Room filler and I would probably wear it for Eid Prayer too Eid Mubarik everyone!!

If you have ever been in a taxi in kurdistan, you know this smell. This purfume replicates a kurdish taxi driver but cleaner and way better. No comment there is no other way i can explane this, good blind buy.

Cool manly scent especially perfect for dark/cold days or nights out, it's mostly like an oud/sandalwood with musk and a hint of vanilla

I first sprayed in the air, the memories that came to my mind is Ombre Nomade with peach, be prepare to have men following you.

hmmmm .... Maahir does not WOW me. I got this because of the reviews on Youtube. I can see the notes on fragrantica being totally wrong this. I wish it did have raspberry, jasmine, peach, more musk, more vanilla. I started feeling like I have Covid (may Allah protect me from it aameen). Because some of the reviewers are calling this a "beast scent". Now I am thinking what do they mean "beast"? Surely not in power, as in filling the room with a spray. Someone compared this with "Oud Moods" .... I THOUGHT. So I went to grab the bottle of Oud Mood and sprayed on one arm and Maahir on the other. They are VERY similar but to me Maahir is prettier. This is marketed as Unisex, I can see this statement being from someone who is not Arab or from the middle east. Since I used the phrase "Prettier", to ME "Maahir is a soft feminine scent. First spray I smelled synthetic, velvet leather. Like a nice, new, soft, butter leather coat and slight rose and slight musk. The scent was very flat. I can see it being in the neighborhood of Oud Moods (with the black ribbon). They are close in smell, but not identical. I like the cool down of Maahir better than the opening. The "beast" must be in reference to "longevity". Maahir is soft, velvety, it smells absolute nothing like "Velvet Oud". Not even close. I LIKE Maahir, I can see this being Emirati fragrance for WOMEN. I feel a man would have to OVER SPRAY this. Definitely layer it with something and of course smoke their clothes with oud or some bukhoor. Which would totally kill and overpower Maahir, because it is so soft and smooth. So I don't think this is heavy unisex and for a man. This is very feminine and soft to me. Actually I think I would spray and smoke my clothes with bukhoor when wearing this. There is no smoke with Maahir, just flat, pretty, clean with slight musk. I smell soft synthetic rose, leather and musk, slightly sweet. Maahir is very flat, soft and pretty, velvety. I give 3.5 outta 5 stars. Because I feel if I want to wow in this, I have to put in work by having to over spray and smoke my clothes with bukhoor or oud. 5 for presentation, package, bottle, which would make you expect more from the actual fragrance which is only 3.5 for me. It's not a WOW fragrance but I like it AFTER it cools and settles on the skin. Would I miss this if I ran out? Yes, I think I would. I MIGHT grow to love this as a day scent and miss it if it was gone. So I could see myself restocking and keeping a bottle on hand. It's a pretty everyday scent or fresh out the shower and for going to bed. I wouldn't grab this and think about romance. Just fresh, velvety and pretty. However I think a husband would think of romance, inhaling this on a woman's skin, while laying in bed. It is a very beautiful and pretty fragrance for a WOMAN. I have a middle eastern nose. This is not unisex or masculine to me in the least. The only thing Unisex about Maahir is the bottle.

i like this one. oud and rose and something faintly incense-like and leathery underneath. it is kinda generic, usual middle eastern configuration. It reminded me of the Spice Must Flow (Etat Libre d'Orange) dry down, the same warm, comforting, dusty spice settling into skin. worth mentioning that fragrantica completely dropped the ball on marketing this for Lattafa. the notes listed are wrong, which may explain why so many people are put off by this. on the negative reviews: a lot of them are from people new to this style of perfumery. the dense opening and the rose are not for everyone, totally fair. but there is also a larger pattern worth naming, a significant portion of people getting into arabic fragrances right now are coming through the dupe pipeline, people whose main interest is smelling inoffensive and mass appealing for as little money as possible. that is a valid way to wear fragrance, but it does not produce reviewers who are well placed to judge something like this, even though for some of us this is a basic fragrance, when your reference point is what a fragrance is supposed to smell like on a first date, the whole tradition of heavier, introspective, darker middle eastern perfumery is going to go unappreciated and maybe even bashed. people come to lattafa expecting easy, cheap, crowd pleasing stuff, so when something like this shows up in the lineup it can genuinely catch you off guard. add wrong notes on top of that, plus it being your first time smelling something in this family, and the shock makes sense. to those who did not enjoy it on first smell, come back to it when your nose has a bit more mileage. you might love it! overall, generic but good, could easily be redundant. not hard to wear but you HAVE to wear it. if you enjoy clean soft oud, not medicinal, not animalic, something much safer and more approachable than what oud can be, and rose, as found in a million middle eastern fragrances, you will enjoy this. it does the familiar thing. 7/10

Those who voted and said this smells like Xerjoff MTW, yall need to step up ur game and get a real bottle of MTW, and stop watching influencer. This doesnt smell like it, not even a bit. Stop following stupid hype train just bc an influencer said so. About the frag, i feel this is worth more than the price tag. It smells like a sweet smoky rose to my nose, not powdery at all. Even tho it has a sweet rose, but its a unisex and leans to masculine because of the smoky smell. Performance wise, im tryna be objective here, i wont use the price tag as an excuse, but its not beast like some people said, not at all, its just slightly above average for me. During the initial spray, yes, its strong, but the strong projection dies down pretty fast, maybe thats why lots of people were saying this is a beast, or they havent tried the real beasts such as FM, Amouage, or Xerjoff that still project strongly for the next 3-5h after the initial spray. Yeah, yeah, the price tag is different from those brands, but again, im just tryna be objective in here, if u wanna be subjective, be my guest. Even among the contenders on the same price range, i still aint call this a beast, its strong, but not on beast level, there are lots of stronger ones. Overall this smells good, i like it, but u wont miss anything if u dont have it. This kinda DNA is overused in middle eastern brands. Maison Alhambra's Amberley Pur Oud also has a 80-90% resemblance to this one, but Lattafa's has a better performance. If ure looking for a good daily beater, this is worth the price. But if u already have a daily beater, u can skip this one.

I decided to go against the type and try it summer evening in 28°C temperature since it is so classically oriental and the temperatures there are 50°C. It is very strong, thats for sure. But it also blooms well in such weather. It is heavily woody. I would say it is oud. And a rose. But I also feel the precious jasmine underneath? And something waxy, possibly lily but well under the woods and leather! Or saffron, perhaps. Bitter. Oud or wood-leather-saffron-rose In strength order. Near monstrous in strength. And an unisex. Not for the faint-hearted or searching for subtlety. This is a hammer to the head. I now regret the 3 sprays, should have gone with walking into the mist of one. But the scent is interesting. Fits the horse sculpture with how volatile and strong it is. A horse that is still untamed, with horse skin and saddle smell mixing with heady flowers far away. It is the best in my Arabic collection so far. Because it is so exotic and strong. Sure an experience. Of course it softens considerably within an hour and is perfectly wearable. It lasts over 12 hours and even after washing the skin and the scent that remains is close to amberwoody materials

I love this fragrance! I had smelled Maahir at my mall and loved it, I also found it on fragrance.net for 17$. This bottle probably has the best bang for the buck in my collection. Maahir looks and feels very heavy/luxurious. The colors of the cap, lettering, juice, and clear glass look great together! This fragrance smells great as well, it’s such a nice combo of oud, rose, vanilla, and powdery notes. It opens with a familiar oud/rose smell combined with a “middle eastern” smell which dies off after about 10 minutes and turns into a vanilla, oud, and powdery smell. Maahir smells masculine, mature, and elegant, while wearable enough for casual occasions. I haven’t seen any hype about this fragrance, and I can barely find any reviews on YouTube. Even when I do find reviews, they are usually pretty mixed. Maybe I’m a middle eastern fragrance guy, or maybe this is a hidden gem. Either way I’ve been obsessed with this since receiving it, I will look into more Lattafa fragrances and other middle eastern fragrances soon.

I was blown away by this. I smelled it at the mall randomly and fell in love. I like this more than Oud Pashmina or More Than Words. I usually stay away from the middle eastern cheapies because, let's be honest, they are popular because they are affordable not because they are high quality. This smells expensive and complex in a way I was not expecting from Lattafa. You have to like the smoky animalic oud this has in the opening. You also have to really like middle eastern style rose ouds. Not for everyone. I think this would be great for someone who wants a loud somewhat animalic oud rose in their collection but doesn't want to drop the big bucks on one of the many great niche offerings. That style isn't wearable in a lot of situations so paying a lot for something that you'll only rock on rare occasions won't make sense to a lot of people. I'll be wearing this a lot on my days off when it won't bother too many people around me.

Oh boy. I just received Maahir and I was so excited to get my hands on it. The opening is truly pungent with woods and saffron. Unfortunately, there's also a poop like component in it, which completely ruins this fragrance for me. Both on skin and fabric, this animalistic note takes over and not in a good way. The dry down is more musky, but that weird note is still there. I'll let this sit for a while. It's a stunning, high quality bottle. I really hope there's improvement. Update 1: the poopy note has disappeared after two weeks, but Maahir remains challenging for me. Longevity 8 hours+ Update 2: after 2 months, Maahir is much, much better. It now settles into a strong Arabian mixture of musk, oud and rose. I'm starting to love it!

Fragrantica needs to update to the correct notes... This fragrance smells nothing like the note breakdown on here... Parfumo has the following: Top: Rose, Saffron Mid: Amber, Akigalawood, Leather Base: Oud, Musk, Vanilla When I smell this, I get rose, strong amber, and oud. It smells like it's trying to go after Ombre Nomade. Regardless of what it's trying to clone, this is damned good scent. It won't get much wear until the fall and definitely looking forward to it. Strong amber but not overdone. Now, if you already have the classic oud, rose, saffron fragrance, you may not need this in your collection. Not a must have, but very good and a good addition if you don't already have something smelling like Oud Bouquet or Ombre Nomade.

There is no rose? No oud? No incense? How is it possible? The scent is totally a smoky, incensy, oudy rose. Very similar to Rose d'Arabie by Armani it is rather dark and perfect for the evening and winter. I blind bought it for the bottle, but I will be wearing the scent. It smells luxurious niche, without compromising feminity though I can easily see a man pulling it off. The presence is substantial, but polite. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous and the horse sculpture a masterpiece! It opens on me with an intense leather note covering a heart of flowers. Feels very smoky, woody and sweet. Horse saddle and the scent of heated garden in the background. I feel agarwood, jasmine, and peach. I feel a scent close to a rose, too.

Rien d’exceptionnel mais il vaut son prix, on croirait même sentir un parfum plus cher que le prix réel. Il n’est pas cheap du tout, mais il est fort surtout au démarrage. Et bizarrement, son odeur va changer en fonction de si l on en met beaucoup ou pas. Pchitez très peu car alors on n’arrive plus à détecter les notes et c’est juste une explosion d’odeur fruitée sans vraiment de sens. Si on en met modérément, l’odeur est classe, agréable et dégage un fort charisme. C’est une odeur qui me met, personnellement, en confiance et me rend sûre de moi, elle inspire un caractère fort. Je recommande.

This fragrance smells very similar to many other oud rose fragrances on the market. I find this scent similar to oud mood and inara oud. This is a fragrance that I feel needs to be dressed up. Maahir is a solid cold weather fragrance that performs like a beast. This lasts 12+ hours on my skin and projects for about 3-4 hours. This fragrance can easily fill a room! I am not a big fan of the opening, there is a slight medicinal smell. The dry down is much better in my opinion. Yep, I agree with the comments that it's similar to "Shaghaf Oud". I am a Lattafa fan, even though many of their scents seem quite similar to each other. It's quality scent for a reasonable price. (Still, I am happy I have a decant and not a full bottle, because it's not what I was expecting from the notes, nor different enough to what I already own.)

I like the scent, I detect Smokey peaches, musk, synthetic oud and vanilla. A crowd pleaser, dense and intense. Projection and longevity are way above average. The bottle and golden horse cap are really heavy and very high quality, albeit the horse design itself may not appeal to all. Overall it’s a wonderful piece.

DO NOT BLIND BUY THIS!! I bought this fragrance a few days ago. I personally like it a bit, definitely not my favourite fragrance, but it’s kinda nice. Except I asked my family what they think and everyone else hated it and said it smelt like feces, and the worst smell they’ve ever smelt.

It's has a strong Middle Eastern DNA and has that Middle Eastern Floral Fragrance Vibe. Projection and Lasting is really good lasts all day and fills a room within 5-6 sprays I'll say it's 9/10 for lasting 8.5/10 for projection and sillage 6/10 for scent 7/10 overall

I like it, but I was expecting something more. The notes here are misleading, look like its going to be floral fruity, its not. Typical middle eastern blend but very wearable. There is for sure oud and saffron/spices that are not listed. Unisex leaning masculine.

This is just a better performing, but way funkier version of opoulent oud by lattafa. This smells more robust and animalistic, while opulent oud is softer and blended much better. Opulent oud is way more wearable though.

Get this one if you like oud but sweet one because it gives you Middle Eastern vibes and also for my muslim akhis out there get this one for Friday prayer you guys won't regret it...

Found this at Burlington, thought the notes were good. The notes on Fragrantica did not match the smell at all, this smells more like LV's Ombre Nomad to me than anything else.

NUCLEAR projection smoky oud. A neighbor one floor below wears it. I can smell it in the corridor the entire day. Wow from a distance, meh when close by.

A spicy, powdery vanilla musk. A touch of typical Middle Eastern cheapie rose-oud in the overtone. Shines after it dries down into a skin scent.

Maybe I got a messy bottle but sillage is only a feet and that too for only first hour. Although it smells niche and a lot like Dubai Mall
