Mazaaji

Garden party surrounded by casual elegance, cream and white fabrics blowing in the breeze, large chaise lounges, scattered about a clifftop yard overlooking the Pacific highway. High-end sunscreen gets picked up on the breeze and wafts along with trellises of confederate jasmine and honeysuckle, warm sand and honey. Not derivative, it stands out without begging for attention. For anyone looking like a solid, comforting, and warm white floral that isn't a clone of anything else I'd recommend Mazaaji all day long. In fact, I kind of want to gatekeep this one and prefer that it remain obscure. It's one of Lattafa's best-blended fragrances if you let it macerate long enough. On first receipt all I got was coconut, but let that thing sit a few months and you have a smooth, creamy white floral on your hands that is so well-blended that the other notes are kind of imperceptible. Not woody exactly. Not musky. But more than just the flowers, and deeper. Before maceration I also layered that with the Iso E Super and Ambroxan molecules from MiracleLayer, (and still do sometimes) and got compliments everywhere I went. It's also a beautiful woody flower bomb layered over vetiver. For comparison: When you add in the Turab al Dhahab (Ard Al Zaafran) or another coconutty fragrance to something much more basic and linear like Maison Alhambra's Libbra or its YSL equivalent,, what you end up with is a tolerable floral-forward beachy scent that is inoffensive and fun. But when you add it in to Mazaaji, you smell like a warm summer day in the absolute best of ways. But I have also grown to love it on its own merit. It reminds me of the 90s formulation of Coty's Sand & Sable if you didn't know there was supposed to be gardenia in it, but smells more expensive. Projects enough to get noticed without causing annoyance. On my skin, I can apply it in the late afternoon and still smell it faintly on my skin the next morning. In cooler weather Maazaji is less noticeable unless you're up close, and is more mellow. In the heat, it will get noticed when you walk by- and this fragrance will transport you.

My initial thought on this one was "this is something very similar to what my aunt wore when I was little". Mazaaji is a bit warm, a bit bright, and a bit loud and proud of it - much like said aunt. In a good way. I love this one because on my skin it's a bright, warm floral without the screech and therefore a very easy wear for me. The depth from the light touch of patchouli and the slightly powdery sandalwood keeps it from just screaming FLOWERS, but the orange blossoms and roses are definitely at the forefront. With 1 spray under my shirt it easily lasts 8hrs to the degree I can still smell it, but about 4 hours for projection past arm length. I don't want to overwhelm the people around me, so that performance is perfectly fine with me. This is the only perfume I have that my husband will routinely stop and say something about me being the smell he's smelling, and that I smell really nice, which is all the more reason to reach for this one often enough that I'd happily consider Mazaaji signature-worthy. The manufacturing date on my box was roughly one year prior to purchase and the colour in my bottle resembles that of the picture above. My experience with this perfume has been since directly after purchasing, with no months-long ageing afterwards others have required. Based on other reviews of Lataffa perfumes, the bottle being at least a few months old before trying seems to be a key thing to watch for.

Bravo to Lattafa for making such a rich, decadent, gorgeous spot on dupe of Elie Saab Le Parfum Royal. I wore Mazaaji a lot in the spring but put her away to make room for my fall and winter fragrances. Last week I ordered Le Parfum Royal (a tester bottle) on eBay. Anxiously awaiting its arrival, I wore Mazaaji yesterday and was once again blown away by the performance. She was still going STRONG after a long day of shopping, and that never ever happens to me. My menopausal skin just eats up fragrances and at midnight, I was still smelling her like I just applied it. WOW! I love this scent so much! So Le Parfum Royal came in the mail today... Broken and leaked all over the box. Just a teenie tiny bit on the bottle. I wasn't mad, but happy. Now I can get a refund for le Parfum Royal because Mazaaji is freaking IDENTICAL. Not watered down but identical. Rich. This is one of the best blind buys I've ever had and one of the closest dupes I've smelled.

Initially I detect a very fruity scent, maybe it’s the orange blossoms, it is a little citrusy, and there’s also a beautiful blast of white floral which blends beautifully with the rose notes. A little powdery, a little musky but mostly I detect the rose over the top of white floral. It’s really quite beautiful! Feminine, fresh and pretty. An easy reach fragrance for me, suitable for any occasion. It projects at least arms length, maybe more, and lasts on skin about 6 hours, longer on clothes. There’s something really yummy about this scent, but it’s not a four kind scent at all, but I keep wanting to smell my arms :-) it reminds me of another scent I’ve smelled before but I just can’t put my finger on it. Maybe a little like Chanel’s Coco Madamoiselle? Not sure but if I figure it out I will update this. This fragrance is really great value too. Oh & the bottle is gorgeous :-)

I just got this and to say I'm excited is an understatement. When I tried this in store I completely fell in love and had to have it. So I just got it and after one spray, I absolutely positively cannot stop sniffing my hand. This fragrance embodies me to a T. What I've always wanted a perfume to be. The descriptions below are spot on so I will not waste time describing the scent. I don't have anything in my collection quite like this. The dry down is the best part of this scent. This is a spring, winter, date night, intimate gathering kind of scent. I really absolutely love it and it was cheap as chips!. Just got it so cannot speak to the longevity but I will update if impressive. Thank you Lattafa. Update: So I get up to 7 hours on skin,3-4 hrs loud projection. Not bad.

I'm fairly new to the fragrance world and have just started building a (mostly Middle Eastern) collection. This was a blind buy based on some YouTube reviews, so for $18, I went for it. This is now my favorite fragrance! It's such a unique white floral that is so beautiful. Granted, I'm still training my nose to pick up individual notes, but I truly don't think I've ever smelled a perfume like it. I get about 9ish hours of longevity on skin and about 12 hours on clothes. I think this would be good year round, mostly as a daytime scent, but could work for nighttime, too. Definitely signature scent worthy. Maybe mine...?

GORGEOUS!! Identical to Elie Saab Le Parfume Royal! I really like e.s. Royal and when l heard this one is similar l decided to get both because l like this scent profile, thankfully Royal wasn't on stock so l only ordered Mazaaji, now l see they are identical and there's no need to spend more on Elie Saab. Floral, powdery but as far as it gets from clean scent, it feels 'dirty' and even kind of animalic ...if you like JPG Scandal you would probably like this, and if don't like Scandal stay away from this one too, they are not similar in notes but in heavyness and aura they have.

Oh, this really smells like honey! This is not so focused on white flowers, luckily. I'm already totally tired of tuberose for this summer. This isn't a typical oriental musk either, the powderiness of this is more like sensuel rosepowder and this also doesn't have as much airiness or green crispness as several daytime fragrances often have, although the scent is deep and long-lasting, the reflection remains quite reasonable. I would even recommend this for an evening and night time use too...surprisingly sexy and totally feminine 10/10.

I was very meh when I first smelled this. It did remind me slightly of a bug spray. But I've let it sit for about 1 month and I really like it now. It's pretty unique, it doesn't remind me of any other fragrance I have. It's spicy, it's fresh without being a freshie due to the orange blossom, and it smells slightly green like the orange isn't fully ripe yet. It's definitely a mature scent and it's quite difficult to describe - I wouldn't think it smells like it does based on the notes. I feel like this is definitely an any-season scent.

This is a safe blind purchasing , Its an elegant mature fragrance suited for those aged 25 above , It smells like a high quality perfume especially considering its price. -In hot weather : All I can smell is orange bloosom deep in a white floral saop with a hint of powderness that gave the fragrance touch of warmness -In wet weather : I get a vanilla scent -not sweet vanilla- mixte with the smell of orange peel -It’s reminiscent of the fresh, slightly tangy aroma you get when peeling an orange- .

I sometimes layer my Narciso by Narciso with Ellie Saab le parfum to get this heavenly combination of powder, orange blossom and honey. Mazaji is exactly this. Orange blossom and honey with a heavenly powderiness, or more like creaminess, all throughout the development stages of the fragrance. The only difference is this lasts immensely longer and projects gigantically better, and is a fraction of the price. Lattafa has restored my hope in this world.

Why nobody talks about this fragrance, I really don't get it. This is STUNNING. I usually don't like super-floral scents, but this. This is sweet, warm, seductive. Super girly. And the performance. The lasting power is around 8 hours AT LEAST. And it didn't even macerate yet! If you are looking for a fragrance for spring/summer, this is going to do it for you.

Mazaaji is such a beautiful rich and honeyed white floral! The orange blossom and jasmine are perfectly melded together with the sweetest, syrupy honey. There is the slightest hint of lemon and eucalyptus elevating it, making it feel fresh and elegant. A perfect spring time scent, but I wear it anytime! I definitely get the Elie Saab Le Parfum Royal vibe too.

Honestly I love this perfume..It smells more like Jasmine and white floral.The scent is amazing.I love how not so many people know about it so I get to have as my own signature scent making it unique..It's definitely a compliment getter..I get compliments from both men and women .I'm on my 3rd bottle right now.lol..definetly and IT feminine scent.love it

I was digging through my summer flowers and found this little gem again. I wonder why this has gotten so little attention? Isn't the salty summer fragrance boom over yet? For me, this kind of sweetness, without the salty nuances, is a welcome change. Of course, salt has its place, but in the long run it's just so... salty.

Beautiful, beautiful scent. It is very similar to Elie Saab royal. I have and love both. There are slight differences though, it lacks the heavy patchouli of the elie saab and is heavier on the vanilla notes. Overall airier and sweeter. So happy it’s been added to the database. Very feminine and quite long lasting too.

Love love love love it! I want to expand my perfume collection but I'm so tempted to get another bottle as I have gone through the one I've owned for the last 7-8 months so fast! And That's while trying not to reach for it too much

I have the Elie Saab Le Parfum Royale and Im very surprised by how similar smelling this perfume is with it. Omg. Although the patchouli for this one is less potent than elie saab. Love it.

This is so beautiful. It’s a very pretty, sparkling floral fragrance. I absolutely LOVE it. I love Lataffa!

I have been trying to figure out this scent for the longest time. It ́s not linear. Upon the first spray, I can strongly smell sweet citruses (probably orange), orange blossom, and patchouli. In the mid other flowers come out, and the citruses fade away a little bit. In the dry down, vanilla shows up on the scene, but flowers and patchouli are still dominant. I know that the citruses, vanilla, and patchouli aren ́t listed, but I can clearly smell them. Citruses + white florals might sound light, but patchouli and vanilla make it quite heavy. Orange blossom is the strongest flower all the way through, and patchouli is rather green, not dirty. I can strongly smell dill, as Darča mentioned, but only from the nozzle, not on the skin. The smell from the nozzle is bad. Don ́t let it fool you. Overall, it ́s a very pleasant scent for spring/autumn, not for hot summer days. Smells classy and mature. Nice for every day, definitely not for a wedding day. It ́s too mature and heavy for that. I ́m comfortable wearing it in my 30s, but I don ́t wear it when I want to smell youthful. For 13€ this was a steal. It doesn ́t smell cheap at all. I love how this fragrance morphs, and the longevity and sillage are great.
