Niche Emarati Antique

Que dire, j'adore ce parfum. Lors de la réception et du 1er pschitt j'ai eu peur, j'ai senti une odeur de poussière, comme être entrée dans l'arrière salle d'une bibliothèque et d'avoir soulevé des livres anciens, couverts d'un nuage de poussière, puis je me suis occupée à autre chose, et d'un coup j'ai senti une odeur agréable, même très agréable, j'ai cherché, je ne me souvenais plus m'être vaporisée auparavant, et quand j'ai approché mon nez de mon poignet, oh là là comme j'ai aimé, cela n'avait plus rien à voir avec le jet initial, j'ai du mal à décrire mon ressenti, c'était si doux, comme si c'était ma peau qui sentait naturellement cette odeur, j'ai discerné la figue, le thé, la cardamome et légèrement le santal et l'iris, c'était léger aérien et addictif, j'ai lu un commentaire parlant d'une balade au milieu de la brume, je suis toute à fait d'accord avec ça, une balade dans la brume, enroulée d'une écharpe de cachemire, après avoir été réchauffée d'un delicieux thè, la tête perdue dans les nuages rêvassant avec nostalgie. Idéal également par temps de pluie. La tenue n'a pas été des meilleures, mais qu'à cela ne tienne, je l'ai religieusement rangé dans sa boîte et ne l'ai ressorti qu'un mois plus tard, la magie à opérée, plus d'odeur de poussière à la vaporisation, juste cette odeur sublime tellement présente et oh, miracle! la tenue, quel bonheur, parfumée à 7h00 du matin et à 18h00, je pouvais encore le sentir sur ma peau, certes de façon intimiste mais bien présent. Vous l'aurez compris, pour moi, c'est un coup de coeur. Je conçois que concernant les parfums, tout reste subjectif, et que les goûts différent d'une personne à l'autre, alors humblement, je précise, qu'il ne s'agit que de mon ressenti personnel. J'ai également testé Francique 63.55, très très proche, je dirai plus léger, je l'adore également, par contre j'ai essayé Liam et là cela n'a pas été concluant pour moi, je l'ai trouvé moins beau, moins recherché, plus masulin.

I hadn't expected the tea note to be so prominent. This feels dark academia, having tea by a fireplace while it's raining outside. It has grounding vibes. Something that makes you want to wrap in a blanket and read a book. I sprayed a few hours ago, and when I walk about, I'm still getting whiffs of fig tea. I had feared that the iris would be overwhelmingly loud, but to my nose, it's merely a soft-spoken assistant. And the bottle itself? While I don't normally care about presentation, the bottle is very heavy. It's gorgeous. It adds to the aforementioned aesthetic. It looks and feels expensive. There is nothing wrong with the simplistic aesthetic of clear glass bottles that western fragrance houses lean on, but it's leaned way too heavily. This has personality. It adds something to the perfume tray. Just a perfect perfume for autumn rainy days, or days you want to feel sophisticated and catch up on your reading. 10/10

This is a beautiful, comforting and pleasantly seducing scent. If you prefer something more unique, but also feeling familiar, Antique offers a beautiful experience. What i get mostly is a beautiful, strong fig. It's not that sweet, which i like a lot. In the background vetiver, tea and cardamon are appearing too. In the drydown it gets more creamy with the santalwood and musk. Such lovely and really versitile, high quality fragrance. Works every season, every occasion. I really wish it would perform better. After using it for months, it still projects for 1 hour and leaves a trail and a small bubble for 3 hours. On skin it stays for 6. I don't like reapplying but what can you do, some perfumes just require it. All in all i really love this one.

Now this is what Liam Grey wants to be.. Is Liam a bad fragrance? Nah it's good but it's clearly a dupe though the quality compared to Gris charnel is not there. It has a sharp aroma chemical base that becomes obvious especially on paper. But it does hang around on skin as well. Now THIS is smooth and high quality which is probably why it's more expensive but the quality is there.. definitely closer to Gris Charnel. Possibly a little bit woodier. I already have francique 63.55 which is my favorite inspiration so far because it's a little bit softer and sweeter and airier. But if you want something that's a little woodier and has more substance but you think Liam is too sharp definitely go with this one!

Funny, the latest Lattafas that are the least talked about by "influencers" are the ones i'm enjoying the most. This scent is freaking beautiful. Again, the quality/price ratio here is insane. Indeed it does smell like Liam Grey but done in a higher level. Both are inspired by Gris Charnel but Antique it's one step above. Perhaps they used better ingredients here than in Liam or really fine tuned some of the notes. You can tell it's the same DNA but here it's smoother and less woody, more nuanced. If only this had a little more push, it would be a 10 for me, but honestly thats a minor issue considering everything else.

I truly thoroughly enjoy this fragrance. This is very similar to gris charnel extrait, but with a slight coconutty nuance. When comparing this to Liam grey, this scent is less focused on the tea, and is instead heavier, denser, and creamier (whilst still maintaining the same calming aspect in Liam grey). The iris in this is also more amped up, compared to Liam grey (if you have Liam grey, then imagine that same scent profile just flipped upside down and turned inside out - the foreground elements are pulled back and the background elements are pushed forward). Additionally, the performance is really good. 9.8/10 imo

Gris Charnel with a twist. I have owned the OG and now own Liam Grey. This has an added dry coconut scent to it and may be a bit milkier. I prefer Liam but it could be b/c my bottle has matured quite a bit but this is an excellent variation to this adored scent profile. I love it. It is not redundant in my collection. I fell head over heels for the OG so I will never get enough of this profile. I would agree this wears best in cooler weather but we will do what we please with our favs. I don't find that this wears as long as Liam right now but the jury is still out. Sexy vibes either way!

As everyone says, yes, it is a QUALITY dupe of Gris Charnel BDK. Its longevity is almost ETERNAL, and its silage is very POWEFUL. The bottle is a real metal BEAST, giving the vibe of an Arab lamp. The PRICE is nothing comparable with BDK. Overall it is absolutely great fragrance and can be a great GIFT for someone. The only thing - if you are sensitive to some perfume formaldehyde, if you get a headache from some of Kenzo or, Guerlain - most likely you will get a headache from this one and other Lattafa perfumes

A very creamy light coconut milk like scent but more sophisticated and dark. Very high quality and smooth but longevity and sillage are pretty bad. Unisex, you wouldn't like it if you enjoy super masculine scents. Pretty verastile with the exception of summer and hot spring days. Very mass appealing in my opinion and would reccomend but performance is just not there, it doesn't project over 1 feet imo and lasts no longer than 3-5 hours.

Fantastic, Thus far the entire group of Niche Emarati lattafa fragrances have been solid! My favorite being Mughal Fort but Antique is a quick second. I will say these need to macerate, like it’s a must, even a couple of weeks will matter try at least a month. It’s like a different vibe and intensity completely. The soft dry down on this one is everything.

Great scent, especially for the price point. Very close to Gris Charnel but it smells a bit more laxtonic, which I appreciate. You can't beat it for the price. I have had mixed results on longevity. Some days it fades in 2 hours. Some days it has lasted 9+ hours. Not sure why the variance in longevity and performance but I really enjoy it none the less.

This is a first impression: I love it. Best Lattafa I have. Haven't smelled BDK's OG but this is really pleasent. Completely unisex. Non-offensive so great for work place use as well as elsewhere. Winter, fall, spring both day and night. Seems longlasting. No regrets.

I have Gris Charnel and bought a 20ml of this for under $18 to give it a try. This is lovely, smells extremely similar to GC and lasts at least 6 hrs on fabric. Dare I say I might like this slightly better? Save your money and buy this is you have been wanting GS.

Best take on Gris Charnel! Starts of with coconut-iris mix vibes with a lot of tea and fig notes. Smells creamy/spicy/super unique. This is much better quality than Liam Grey and the performance is MONSTEROUS!!! Super unique scent for winter/cold weather!

Didn't like it when i bought it, smell was too feminine and not that nice. Spraying it every once in a while it became better and better to my nose. Now, a year or so later i totally love it. Scent is much richer now with the perfect amount of sweetness.

Wild that Liam Grey has higher ratings than this, this does everything that Liam does but is so much better in every way and only costs an extra $15.

I love this fragrance. It is much better than Liam and I have no problem with longevity and sillage.

Three and a half days ago I sprayed this on the corner of my blanket to test it out. I was already wearing fragrance on my skin and was too impatient and curious to wait any longer, so blanket it was. Annoyingly (and true to form), I hadn't thought this through. This is my only blanket. And as it's currently bloody cold here and there is no way of laundering the blanket and having it dry in time to use at night, I had to put up with the smell. And put up I did, as for three and a half days the blanket was emitting overwhelmingly cloying, chemically sweet and screechy fumes. Till just now, when I sat on my bed to look something up on my phone and suddenly noticed the most fantastic scent all around me. It's rich and milky, with loads of really nicely blended coconut and sandalwood, black tea and figs. It's clean and fresh while also warm and comforting. It's wonderful. I don't want to move as this scent bubble is so nice. But seriously though, it took three and a half days. Three and a half days for a single spray of this perfume on fabric, to start smelling good. I am genuinely fucking scared to spray this on my skin.

The cardamom is very strong in this but luckily it fades a little bit after wearing for a while because I love the black tea and fig combo. Unfortunately, though, my husband thinks this smells like cleaning products for some reason. But his sense of smell is odd so I’m just going to wear it anyway. I live in a cold and rainy climate and this will be great for those days. The bottle is also really pretty and unlike any others that I own. Love the antique look to go with the name. Edit: turns out my husband was mixing up the smell of the perfume with the hotel body wash and lotion which had a lot of bergamot so he doesn’t actually think it smells like cleaning products. However, I do get a bit of a beach-ball-that-you-just-blew-up or latex glove smell. Not sure where that’s coming from.

I have tested more than 20 hyped middle eastern fragrances recently. And I have been disappointed with all of them except a couple. This is a good one in my opinion, where all other lattafas i tested were a synthetic mess, you can can recognize a structure here. It smells very similar to Gris Charnel, slightly more woody, spicy and dry where Gris charnel has a "wet" fresh quality to my nose. I enjoy Gris Chanel, but I never fell in love with It and I was not looking for a dupe. I may go as far as to say I like Antique a little bit more. Good to wear on a cold, rainy day.

Two weeks of maceration and this is no longer nuclear! (See a few reviews down for that story.) 12h+ of moderate to intimate sillage from two sprays; one on skin under several layers of clothing, and one to my wrist, which I touched to the other and dabbed behind my ears. Unisex, but only really because every time I catch the scent off my skin it seems to fluctuate between smelling feminine or masculine.

The air is wet. A fog entangles itself in your hair, in your clothes and even every village building. Trees are lush, vibrant and lively. Greenery enwraps atop them and entangle from tree to tree. Your village is small but mighty. Bonding over morning tea, you prepare yourselves for a day tending to green rice submerged in water. A village entirely its own.

Antique is a version of Gris Charnel but without the intense vanilla. Antique is softer, muskier and milkier and I much prefer it, but I’m not getting the longevity that others report, on me it doesn’t last more than about 4 hours. So when I wear it for work, I smell divine at the start of my shift but by lunchtime it’s gone already.

Yep. Liam Grey, GC profile. I have never sampled GC. Therefore, I have no context there. But, I have Liam Grey and it is great. To my nose this adds coconut. Nice. However, i still prefer Liam Grey. Either way both (this and Liam Grey) are certainly worth the meager cost. Give them a shot and decide for yourself.

The initial blast felt overpowering, but it soon mellowed into a clean, soapy spice layered over warm woods. As for the bottle, I wish Middle Eastern perfume houses learnt to keep them elegant. Think clear glass, balanced typography, and a simple, elegant cap... this thing is hideous mamma mia.

I have Liam and like it a lot. This is better. This smells like it’s better quality. It lasts longer and projects farther. If you like Liam, chances are that you like this even more. It’s a no brainer. Easy blind buy if you can’t sample. That’s what I did.

Very close to Gris Charnel, definitely more vanilla and coconut. More feminine. However, on a budget this is the BEST dupe you can get. Longevity could be better but I'm sure maceration would improve it. Blind buy safe imo.

I have both Antique and Liam grey and to be honest, antique isn't worth picking up over Liam grey. Liam grey has less depth and is more linear but the dry down is more soothing and polite than antique.

All I smell is a tea bag and slight coconut. You have to smell your skin to get the slightest of fig. I will let it maserate. Right now this is masculine. Weak/moderate projection. By itself 8.9/10

After having it for some time my take is that it smells like if Dior Homme intense and BDK Gris charnel had a baby and that baby had a baby with Matiere Premiere Vanilla Powder, thats it.

Not at all pleasant and rather cheap smelling, which is not unexpected, as clearly the money has all gone on the ridiculous, heavy metal bottle and the humongous display box (within a box,) that it comes in. This one requires its own shelf. I’m tired of the ridiculous packing some of these niche perfumes often come in. This is powdery, chemical-based, nausea-inducing and headache-inducing. This is all style over content, and for poseurs. It’s definitely not for authentic perfume-lovers. Save your money.

Sprayed from a store tester (which was half empty by the weight of it), and just smells like white soap to me.. i like most of the Niche Emarati perfumes but not this one..

Agree with djbethell about the ridiculous amount of packaging of these perfume bottles...in boxes of boxes!! No comment about this scent as I’ve. Not tried this one. I will say I’m losing a bit of my curiosity with the Arabic dupe houses as I’m sick of the same ones they do over and over again! Sick of seeing the notes of lychee, rose, and strawberry, I’m about to lose my mind!! Wish these houses made more dupes of indie scents or newer designer scents like I’d love some sniff or Phlur dupes or a cashmere and Palo santo dupe; no more Bianco latte or rose and lychee ehh Anywhoo back to the WASTE of all the packaging?hopefully they read these things, and stop using soooo much packaging and also stop with the bottles that are huge ugly and heavy! No one wants that. But we need to think about the waste on our earth. I’d prefer much LESS packaging less huge gawdy bottles, or I’m going to start losing interest in the middle eastern dupe houses. 🌍

It's so wild how different peoples' noses are. Every time someone says a middle Eastern dupe is a "1 to 1 for [insert fragrance here]" I always end up disagreeing when I finally compare. This, however, smells 99.99% like Gris Charnel to me. It's probably the closest dupe I have ever smelled, and I have a picky nose. I would say Gris Charnel is just a hair smoother, a bit less of that semi-sharp, herbal tea note, but other than that, it's identical. Also, I don't know why so.many people hate on the bottle- I think it's cool! It's heavy and feels expensive. All around stoked I bought this scent!

This junt grown and dark. Sexy and bold. Quiet and rich. Nice purchase. Smells 90s-ish. Ive smelled this before in my younger years...just can't recall it. Im glad I purchased it. Good for office. Its a head turner for sure. Im so glad im in my tea phase of fragrances. Feels good being aware and able to acquire what you will when you will.

I find this too masculine for me . I prefer Delina exclusif, Guidances and Valaya exclusif . This is very long lasting and well blended . feels like better quality than what Lataffa does usually. I might give it away or resell and try to find a feminine scent from the Niche Emarati line . I believe they are better quality from Lataffa .

Sim uma imitação do GRIS CHARNEL da BDK! Acabei de borrifar o Antique no pulso e o aroma remete a Gris Charnel , não tem o mesmo frescor e intensidade na abertura mas sim é o aroma dele. Em termos de fixação não sei pois preciso testar durante um bom tempo.
