Niche Emarati Khalid

Khalid & Khamra- An Autumnal match made in heaven! I was wracking my brain trying to find a smoky, ouddy, resinous fragrance to go with my Lattafa Khamra to provide deeper base notes and serve as an anchor to my skin. I had purchased a 20 mil spray of Khalid EDP to investigate a deep leather/Oud fragrance in general and promptly put it in my “discard asap stash” after trying it earlier this Spring. Well, needless to say I had an epiphany while getting ready to list Khalid for sale today... it was exactly what I was looking for and was already bought and paid for. Typically I do not practice fragrance layering as I believe any great fragrance should speak for itself. I was so WRONG! There have been times when I’ve wanted to deepen Khamra, which most of you already realize is a highly rich & elegant fragrance experience in and of itself. But there are times I’d like to smell a bit more mysterious. Khalid does the job! If you use Khalid to layer, DO NOT spray Khalid with your main scent. Spray one-two pumps on your torso and as Khalid warms from your body heat, it wafts up beautifully and blends with Khamra perfectly. Trust me, one or two sprays will do it. Khalid is so rich and powerful there will be no missing its fantastically deep note layer it gives Khamra or even Liam or Sutoor for that matter. I now love and appreciate the leather & Ouddie Beauty of Khalid not as a “loner” but as a layer and highly recommend it.

YESSSS! I'm so glad they added this! This was the first perfume I bought just on notes alone. No reviews, no fragrantica, no nothing. There was nothing available at the time, but the.notes looked so good. They called out to me! I even spent double my average on it. (I almost exclusively stick to cheapies.) First presentation: wow, wow wow. 2 door folding box and a glass bottle covered in metal armor that probably weighs 2 lbs. The metal is pewter I think? It's nice, if a little overblown. The scent matches the box in opulence and performance. It's deep, dark, resinous, leathery and a little smokey. It's everything I love! It's just sweet enough to make me think a little of smoked caramel or something. It's really well blended, and performs like a beast. It's one of those scents that seems to fill the whole room with one spray. I definitely recommend this if the notes excite you the way they did for me, I don't think you'll regret it. One more thing, unlike almost all other middle eastern scents I've had this one didn't need time to sit, as far as I can tell it was the same that first day as it is now.

Leather, oud, and flowers, with HEAVY emphasis on the leather at first. It's cozy yet uncomfortable and would do good with a light spray. Spraying more than two spritz would last about two days and make everyone around you hate *you* specifically. However, using this fragrance conservatively gives you an interesting masculine smell. After a while it unfolds into a light leather, oud, and vanilla (flowers disappear almost completely). This fragrance will do very good on cold days. I can't speak on the likeness to Cuoium yet but will update if I ever get to smell them together.

Somehow this is way more brutal than Orto Parisi Cuoium. If Cuoium would suit Guts from Berserk, this one is straight up demonic apostle level. There is lots of unpacked violent energy here, like it was made by some death metal band. However, it's made by freaking Lattafa. If you ever felt like Cuoium wasn't strong enough, then by all means get this one and forget about the brand.

I found the 20ml version for a great price. This is amazing! Ambery, leathery, smoky, oudy, with a touch of balsamic sweetness. Smells divine. It's more appropriate for cold weather and special occasions. Great quality and longevity too. Has to be in my top 5 Lattafa scents.

Damn this is fire.I have the OG. This is 95% close, just a bit less stronger,a bit less smoother and a bit less denser but all in all very close.

This is pretty classic-Amouage-coded, love it.

Alright, let's talk about Lattafa's Khalid. First impression? Khalid is the kind of scent that walks into a casual autumn bonfire or a cozy winter pub and just fits. The star of the show here is that fine, ubiquitous incense note. You know the one. It’s not the heavy, church-y smoke that overwhelms everything. This is smoother (think of the warm, resinous scent of expensive oudh chips smoldering in a background, wrapping you in a cloud of mystical, spicy warmth). It’s the heart and soul of this fragrance, and it is delicious. But wait, there's more. Woven through that beautiful incense is a light, suede-like leather accord. This isn't the harsh, "brand new motorcycle jacket" kind of leather. It's softer, more broken-in, like your favorite well-worn boots or the collar of a trusted jacket. It adds this fantastic, grounded edge that keeps the incense from floating away and makes the whole scent feel incredibly masculine and comfortable. Together, these two notes create a fragrance that is perfectly made for fall and winter. It’s warm, a little spicy, and has just enough depth to stand out in the cold air without being overpowering in close quarters. It’s your go-to for coffee dates on a crisp day, trivia night at the local brewpub, Thanksgiving with the family (you'll get compliments, trust me). Basically any casual event where you want to smell incredible without smelling like you're trying too hard. My verdict: Khalid is an absolute steal. It’s a warm, inviting, and effortlessly cool scent built on a foundation of that gorgeous, smoky incense and grounded by a touch of soft leather. If you want a signature scent for the colder months that won't break the bank but will absolutely break necks (in a good way), grab a bottle (you can still use the latter as a self defense weapon). You can thank me later

Opens up ambery sweet, then intertwining with a smoky accord, then the balsamic accords show, but rather it supports the oud that takes the lead. I barely get the cade oil impression, maybe when it's being combined with the balsamic notes it comes off as tobacco-leaf, is as far cade goes for me. I was prepared to be disappointed...but then after some time, like 1/2 hour later, the cade clearly made its way through, while still smelling balsamic, yet even darker now. The birch is there, but it's more of a flank note. Though it seems like the only way to get a whiff of this scent is by buying the bottle whole, it's rather dirt cheap for what you get. In a mood...I think I like this very much. On skin, it's a bit sweeter. Unfortunately, the leather impression is minimal, though it's dark and you can see it if you look for it--that's about the extent of it. That's in addition to the smoke teasing and the profile I've described so far... At least I don't have to chuck a bottle into a dusty oblivion, but it's not really a close favorite of mine like Boxer, MB1, Leatherize are to me. In any regard, I'm actually very impressed given the cost of this frag before fees at a discounter (30$!). Usually cheapies around this price range are generic and aren't really as distinguished in a niche frag manner. Not to mention you could seriously smash a foot toe or something by accident with this if you were a clumsy klutz while spraying this..and not have it break [the bottle that is :-)]. Definitely the most challenging perfume I own. The opening smells like a hospital in hell; slightly metallic and incredibly ashy and sharp, almost like a sweeter blood, very difficult to describe. The dry down is more my style as it kind of gives a church incense vibe, but the church is in a barren pine forest and it caught on fire. I have never smelt anything like this before and I am very pleased to have this in my collection. 25$ at Marshall’s was an absolute steal. Also the bottle is heavy af and you could probably tenderize meat with it. Edit: ok the review above was not a full wear and was on my wrist where I constantly smelled it close. After a full wear on the neck and a night of masturbation, the leather is way more prominent and it’s less screechy. I still stand in my review but once again after masturbating I would say this is more wearable. One other thing, I saw a few people say this is similar to the leather in Tom Ford’s fragrances, which in the air is kinda true, but can you get a tom ford fragrance for 25$? No, you can’t.

A Cade Oil bomb from the opening through the mid for me. Leather and Woods are there in the background. After a few hours in the dry down, for me it smells like grilled and buttered chicken. If scents like Gucci Guilty Absolute are too tame, then this might work. Based on the notes listed here, Niche Emarati Khalid appears to be a clone of Falcon Leather EDP by Matiere Premiere. The 2 differ in cost. My NEK 20 ml bottle cost about what a 1 ml sample of FL costs. Update: consider layering NEK with a strong floral fragrance. A "Beauty and the Beast" combo is Delina + NEK.

Initial thoughts: I love the bottle design of both the Niche Emarati Khalid, and of the Niche Emarati Toleen (the latter of which is not listed on this site). I would probably best describe the scent as: Imagine being in church. Heavy, Smokey (incense-like, not fireplace or campfire adjacent). I actually like the smell, but the second I tried it on my head started killing me from how heavy and cloying it is. After some time it got less brain-numbing, and I came to enjoy it. Definitely would not wear this as a daily-driver, but I think it is A-OK.

This one is challenging. Very leathery, metallic and a little minty but in a not safe blind buy way, the dry down becomes more wearable. It gives me vibes of an old wooden fence painted with used engine oil or a really old engine / locomotive workshop smell. If you can pull this off, i envy you, probably a 45+ years old mature person scent. The quality is great, well blended, very masculine. I'm keeping it for the bottle figurine, got it from vivantis for 14 euros.

Khalid is an overpowering dry smoky masculine oud. Maybe it’s trying to be Boadicea The Victorious ‘Blue Sapphire’ but it makes me feel nauseous so can’t wear it. It’s certainly no Interlude.

Too much Tom Ford (ish), very intense and eternal. But if you like Tom Ford Leather/oud - you gonna like this one as well

Smells funny and weird, i dont know how to describe the smell but it just smells weird, not a safe blind buy at all

This shit is straight up offensive. Do not be fooled by the rad bottle, this perfume is poisonous. This smells like how a bone dry, painfully hot, burnt hit off of an ancient THC cartridge would taste. It’s seemingly cancerous and puts up an eye watering assault on the olfactory. I cannot imagine the maniacs that wear this but I would guess their noses have been exposed to so much carnage that the electrical fire aroma here is all that’s profound enough to break through their damaged senses. 0.17/10

I thought I would like this due to the leather notes, but i was mistaken. This fragrance is metallic and not in a good way. It’s also a little green but it comes back to metallic with the faintest leather. My least favorite from the niche emarati line. Most of the other ones in this line are amazing. Definitely skip this one if it wasn’t for the synthetic metallic note maybe it could have been ok.
