Ra'ed Oud

I like it. The bottle i received belongs to a fairly dated batch (09/22). The initial opening makes me think of a WC detergent based on chemical citruses (bergamot, perhaps) but the chemical note goes away probably annihilated by the saffron and rose. the Lavander is so light I can accept its presence. as for the incense, it is ore of the unburnt stick type, again lightly present. The cypriol oil gives me a bit that industrial lubricant vibe that fits well into the equation. There is no 'oud' to speak of in the fragrance and the woody note is really coming from a dry sandalwood. The leather not is more suede to my nose. What i really appreciate is the final assembly of a well though of fragrance. Definitely not a mass pleaser. I wouldn't wear this at the office, even if I was the boss. This is not a safe blind buy and even if its not a mature scent i don't see any man below 30 years of age wearing this jus. It's a fall/winter fragrance I would wear any time of the day. Cooler spring nights are welcome too. A good addition to my collection. I paid 18€ which makes of this nice and quite out-of-the-schemes fragrance a great deal.

My nose wants to love this smell, but after spraying it on my skin, my brain is telling me I'm smelling a brand new vinyl shower curtain. The top notes remind of the aromatic hydrocarbons and volatile organic compounds in petroleum or polyurethane; a distinct, sweet, synthetic plastic-y smell (Or is this the cypriol I'm smelling?) Until I can get past this nose-brain barrier it will be challenging to wear. That being said, I still somehow like it, that's because I like the smell of new shower curtains! I sprayed about ten sprays on my shirt last night and wore it this morning. Gotta say, it was just perfect when the amber and oud came into play. I will see if it matures in the bottle after a few months.

My mum had this and I really loved hers because longevity was eternal and I loved the oriental oud scent I got from it. I went ahead to get mine but it almost doesn’t smell like it’s the same thing my mum has. Mine smells weaker, instead of the oriental oud scent, i smell something like petrol So I’ve used a few times and left it to mature in my closet. I’m hopeful it’ll get better and be the same with what my mum has. My mum has had hers for over a yr now Update: mine has matured well and I now have the oriental note I love about it as well as the beast mode longevity. I’d always want to have this in my collection !

I added this cologne as a blind buy to my cart since I wanted to try something along the lines of Imperial Valley by Gissah. Turns out that this one was a smash favorite. I really like the layering of the oud, floral notes, bergamot, and cypriol. It’s relatively linear so it all comes there but in general it is wow so good. It is not a crowd pleaser fragrance by any stretch, indeed I can smell the gasoline similarities with the bergamot, leather, and cypriol. But it’s really bold and I like that. An underrated gem from Lattafa.

I am shocked, no one has commented on this anything yet. I bought a full bottle. This is like YSL La Nuit de home + oud. Fresh, powdery and hints of oud. 100% western style oud fragrance. Very versatile. First 10 minutes sharp citrus + woods, manly and then becomes fresh powdery with oud. I don't know which perfume it is trying to copy but it does not smells like Versace Oud Noire or Gucci oud at all. Bought it for PKR 4500 ($17) from a local shop.

This smells so close to Imperial Valley by Gissah but it's more leathery and has a decent dose of saffron. It's fruity in the opening then gets kinda green and finally leather kicks in once it reaches the drydown (I don't detect oud here). Quite strong, very masculine, and not very mass pleasing. Try before you buy, unless you like Imperial Valley, in which case you'll probably like this one.

A very masculine scent. This is testosterone in a bottle. This is something Don Corleone would wear. Sharp and non apologetic. This is not about pleasing the crowds, this is about making a statement.

Saffron, bergamot, and lavender open the scent, with the saffron giving off a slightly metallic edge. The bergamot and lavender cut through the blend cleanly, leaving a crisp, almost freshly ironed feel. As it moves into the heart, the floral-oily notes are supported by incense and some earthy boldness, before settling into a woody, creamy oud and leather base. The oud, present but not overpowering in the earlier stages, eventually takes center stage. It is not the loud, in-your-face oud often found in traditional Eastern fragrances. Instead, it feels more Westernized, as mentioned in the review below. The performance leaves me with mixed feelings. Its sillage is strong during the first few hours, but it fades faster than I'd like. Ra'ed Oud feels like a simple composition built around oud, but with enough nuance to keep it interesting. In general, I can see why some people compare it to a car freshener. It's a cheeky comparison, but not entirely wrong. There is a certain freshness to it, though I find it unexpected and quite pleasant rather than cheap or off-putting. Maybe it was designed for an expensive car smell. #521 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I purchased Ra'ed Silver in January of '23 and was very pleased with it, as I have been with most of the Lattafa scents I've trialed. Out of 32 I've purchased I've given passing grades to 22, including this one, and the third scent in the Ra'ed line, Ra'ed Luxe, is arriving tomorrow, and I'm fairly confident I'll be pleased with that one also. This a nice. leathery, ambery oud. Does have that ubiquitous synthetic bergamot note I despise, but not so pronounced I won't wear it. Credit the saffron for pushing the fake bergamot note to one side. The florals are obtrusive enough that if you were looking strictly for oudniess this wouldn't be your best choice, but not so obtrusive as to make this come off a granny scent, as it's definitely masculine, not unisex. It's not too oriental for the work place, fine for casual evening wear, but not really a club or date scent IMO. Solid EDP projection and longevity. I think Craftvision's take that this is YSL La Nuit De L'homme + oud is pretty much right on. A bargain at $20.

Initial impressions: As many will tell you, it's better to let frags from this brand mature or jack off or whatever, so here's my first impression after having this for about a week. The opening is somewhat harsh, and unexpectedly fresh. It took me a while to recognize what I was smelling and then I had it: dryer sheets! I think in its immature state the cypriol+lavender+some kind of galaxolide type musk come together to create that accord. However, on the skin, rose emerges and then it begins to dry down into a beautiful papyrus-oud but without any real dirtiness. Definitely not what I expected looking at the note pyramid, but how often do those ring true anyway? For the money you really can't beat it, and if you love Cypriol-heavy perfumes, like me, it's a no-brainer. Very strong performance, lives forever on clothes. I hate restricting fragrances to seasons, but if that's something that concerns you because of the freshness aspect it should be good year-round.

Masculine indeed and quite linear in developing right now. The main and dominant players are leather /Suede/ note with incense undertone, supported gently with oud+saffron+sandalwood. I can't detect any bergamot, lavender, rose or anything else here, its all hiding well behind leather-oud accord. Nothing fresh, sweet or overly spicy here for me. Sort of Western interpretation on Suede, Incense and Oud mix with rough corners. yet elegant enough. Not as safe blind buy / for faint hearts (noses) imho. If anyone (like few users previously) expecting much to find similarities to "La Nuit de L'Homme" Parfum of Yves Saint Laurent, please don't... Just don't! Raed Oud- will take you to another direction, it has only a faint, very distinct hint of it somewhere in the end ,definitely not the same aroma, level and complexity of YSL. Medium longevity and silage. Just imagine guys with leather jackets, accessories and suede boots riding bikes wearing this creation. Not bad. Leaving this one to macerate and to see what's happening later. P.S. Well. Not much changed later, Its become little bit more balanced with less rough corners. For leather / suede note lovers with no doubts.

This thing does not come off of my jacket. It’s kind of like a rubberized jacket (polyurethane) I use for work but I’ve sprayed others and this one will not come off until like the third time I washed it. Probably the strongest cologne I own and have owned. I can’t even describe the smell. It’s like a sour smell or spicy, idk lol it’s different... definitely not for everyone. I blind buy most of my fragrances but this is definitely one I would try before buying it.

Has almost the same notes as Khalta Blend of Lattafa, but arranged in a much different way. My bottle has not matured yet but as of now I get mostly cypriol and saffron, which I quite enjoyed. The cypriol is very strong and has a nice camphorous feel, and dies down after a couple hours to let the oud and leather in. Very nice.

This is a slightly lighter version but holds a similar lasting power as Imperial Valley II by Gissah. This is exactly what you get but in a 100 ml bottle and relevant pricing. So yeah another good dupe of Imperial Valley II by Gissah.

Smells it price point the lavender is cheap smelling against the leather and it's only slightly oudy in the background. My least favourite from the 3 and my least favourite from lattafa I have tried
