Ramz Lattafa (Gold)

Some of the reviews on here seem like light jokes. I truly don't get the hatred for this! Off the opening note, I don't get the gasoline smell that everyone describes. I get a very aggressive green apple smell that lingers heavily alongside a florally white pear. I get how most would be extremely thrown off by this! It's wildly aggressive at first sniff! There's some rose that starts to show its head after a while, contrary to other comments. I think the main problem here is that the rose is lost in the blend. It's there but masked by a bunch of white florals, which I think makes it a bit difficult to enjoy if you buy this fragrance strictly for the rose. I'm not sure of the age of the bottle I purchased, though the dry down is where the scent starts to get really sweet, it's patchouli, vanilla, and a strong lingering white musk that lingers. I do see why some might not like it, though I have heard and I agree that maceration may be really good for this! It seems like one of those bottle that on first open, it's gonna smell very strong, and to some noses, offensive off the rip. Given some time to break down, this just seems like the type of fragrance to gain a ton of character. I wouldn't suggest this to everyone! It's a great smeller! Though it seems like that type of fragrance that would appeal to a certain audience. Similarly to how a certain kind of crowd loves Joop, Cordovan Vintage, etc... I think it's one of those. Some will just not like it, and some may see the appeal. It's a matter of a particular taste.

Beautiful fragrance. Proper fruit and spice bomb. Really fruity in the opening, I can detect apple, pear and pineapple, the latter being a note that's not even listed. As it dries down it becomes more mossy, woody and has a touch of vanilla to it. Really reminds me of Most Wanted By Night on the dry down, before that it's just super sweet and fruity. Definitely a unisex fragrance as long as you're a man that doesn't shy away from sweet frags, although I'd say it's more 60/40 in favour of feminine, but I'd say the same about Le Male and that's marketed purely towards men so hey ho. I got my bottle for £14 for 100ml, which is an absolute bargain. It's quite comfortably beaten other scent I've bought this year that were over £100 for 50ml. Longevity is really good, projection isn't, but it's more of an intimate scent so I didn't expect it to fill a room. Anyone that gets near will be in heaven though. I've no idea if it smells anything like Alexandria II as I've never tested/owned that, but if it does, I can see why Xerjoff sell a lot of bottles.

If I believed the reviews I would never have bought it. Thank God I didn’t 😍 It’s a great perfume if you like this DNA! The fact that it was really inexpensive made me believe for a second that it could be bad, but with Middle Eastern we should know by now that this is never the case. They can be of very low price and really good, like this one. Fruity opening with more peach than apple to my nose, beautiful rose and jasmine in the middle with a lovely sandalwood, musky vanilla and patchouli perfectly rounded together in the dry down. It lasted an amazing 12 hours on my skin right out of the box 😳 You have to like the rose/wood/musk/patchouli Middle Eastern touch to appreciate it, although it’s really toned down here, but it is there. And I love it! Not a slight “gasoline” smell like some mentioned below. Maybe a bad batch? So overall this is a 9/10 for me, making it very easy to wear anytime and anywhere. And in my opinion it leans more feminine ♥️

This is a kind of BOMB! at first sprayed it was so feminine i thought this perfume for women, after an hour OMG i just like it so much, this is a monster long lasting perfume for daylight, night, office and party, i got 2 of this LATTAFA RAMZ version SILVER and GOLD. 1. SILVER version = Oud, coffee, leather some others like a bit of pacco rabbane 1 million and more to creed - longevity 8 to 10 hours 2. GOLD version = Rose at first spray, after an hour the smell more to men and good performance, smell leather, a bit of oud, a bit coffee, fruity, same like Dolce & Gabanna but this kind more performance and long lasting to 8 to 12 hours, after woke up next morning i still can smell a bit this perfume. From Malaysia, good in hot weather, in hot weather it become more aggresive on skin, spray on shirt can get more long lasting for roses

Just received this fragrance. First sprays come off as a sweet masculine fragrance. To me it's lovely but I do get a tart or sour note after the first blast of fruity apple, maybe it's the pineapple? I noticed here it's missing several notes mentioned on Lattafa's page for this fragrance such as pineapple, bergamot and amber. Once it dries the woody notes really come out to play and it smells like a botanical herbalist shop. Smells like how I picture a cold October day in all of those Autumn movies (Practical Magic, Twilight, Hocus Pocus) of even what Ollivanders might smell like. I purchased this to wear during the colder months . Knowing Lattafa these fragrances you have to allow them to sit for about a month or so to get the full experience. For now this will be going into storage as I'm excited to see what this becomes.

Why is this perfume getting so much hate? This smells like Roses, Arabic roses if it makes sens?it is literally so nice, you can feel the peach in the sweetness, the rose and the musk and it has a lingering sweetness almost like a syrup. It is very unisex and not headache inducing like other Arabic perfumes. It is really unisex in a very fluid way, like it literally suits perfectly a man and a woman, not like other unisex perfumes that are really masculine or really feminine, it is very well balanced. The projection is good, the price is good and the silage is good too. Very clean and sweet at the same time if it makes sense, almost like a sweet clothes whash. I really like it and everyone that smelled it liked it. I really don’t get the hate:-??.

Ramz Gold smells like the beginning of an adventure. The rose is the star to my nose, but what I enjoy most is that I don't just smell the rose itself, I smell its fruitiness. The pear, peach, apple, and black currant seem to melt into the rose, creating a bright, juicy quality that feels natural rather than sweet. White musk and airy florals keep everything smooth and inviting. I find myself catching wafts of it throughout the day, which makes wearing it a pleasure. This isn’t a fragrance that tells people who you are. It’s a fragrance that suggests you’re someone worth getting to know. Projection: 8/10 | Sillage: 8/10 | Longevity: 9/1

I love this one. It always pleasantly surprises me when I sniff the cap then spray it on, like a quick pick-me-up. It doesn’t remind me of anything else I have, and it is just the right amount of sweet balanced with musk. It feels very adult to me. I can’t pick out any of the fruits listed, but I credit more of the sweetness to the white florals. I’m a sucker for jasmine sambac and orange blossom specifically. I am not a huge fan of rose, but it does not stand out among the other florals and it plays nicely with the sandalwood and musk. I would love this as a travel scent to keep me company on a long plane or train ride.

@vikkinca's right, the notes he posted are correct. I'm surprised this is not popular, I love it, it's so GOOD. I can't explain it. On another note, it doesn't have the lataffa DNA. In the opening I get gasoline, which I love?! 😭 Then it gets sweeter, you get the peach 🍑 maybe the orange blossom as well, can't decide. The dry down is soft and fresh, crisp from the apple. I definitely think this is unisex but I think it leans feminine. Also I forgot to mention that the dry down to me smells exactly like boss the scent.

Its a very good fragrance especially for the price I paid ($17 at Marshalls). Heck I’d pay more for this one. Every one at work compliments and tells me how good it smells. I see why some people might run away from this one cause it’s certainly not for everyone. Fruity, woody, with a lot of flowery scent. Its pretty strong at first but it tones down a bit later through the day. Also it lasts through out the day. Give a try before you buy though I did a blind buy with this one and I loved it.

I've had this one for years, and I've been torn between loving it and simply tolerating it. I had always believed that it resembled Alexandria II (which I've never tried) because of what I've read here. Today, I got my first travel spray of Ombre Nomade and discovered that Ramz Gold is almost exactly the same. So much so that I'm appalled no one else has mentioned it. Definitely no reason to spend such an exorbitant price just because the other bottle has the LV name on it.

A fruity powerhouse! Ramz Gold is like an artisanal jam. I'm not typically a fan of very "fruity" fragrances, but this is a fruity fragrance done right in my opinion. Ramz Gold could easily fall into the "juvenile" category if it weren't for the sandalwood and patchouli. I also think that the florals from the rose and orange blossom keep you from smelling like straight up fruity candy.

Definitely picking up the Rose, but I swear there's Saffron in this. This feels/smells A LOT like the limited but now-discontinued Boss Bottled Oud Saffron. From first sniff, it's what it seems most alike to. I can see the comparison to Xerjoff Alexandria II because just like Boss Bottled Oud Saffron, it's a woody, spicy, ambery scent with rose forward to accompany it.

Blind bought it, zero regrets. This is a fresh rasberry rose jam...I normally hate fruity scents but this is well done...it's sweet without crossing the line into cloying territory...it's deep, rich, and sexy. I can see wearing this on a night out. Beast mode projection and sillage. Might need a backup bottle. Love.

@SweetLadyForOne You are quite correct. According to the Lattafa catalogue I have the perfume pyramid of Ramz Lattafa Gold is as follows: Top Notes: Sweet Orange, Blackcurrant, Apple, Pear, Peach. Heart Notes: Jasmine Sambac, Orange Flower, Rose. Base Notes: Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vanilla, White Musk.

Absolutely HATE this bottle but i reckon the juice is something special even after 100s of cheapies. Fight all you want but ive sampled Alexandria 2 after knowing this and its definitely there, id say 75%, if you layer it with a real dehn al oud attar, you get Alexandria.

Sweet, fruity, creamy, woody, floral balanced scent. I got the silver Ramz first and skipped this thinking it'll be too feminine, until I smelled it in an Arab shop. Perfectly unisex, at least to my middle eastern nose. Smells great with excellent performance.

The opening on this thing is like a sharp disgusting smell which I don’t like. Afterwards though, you can smell the fruits, with some woodyness. The dry down is where it’s at for me. Personally not blind buy safe but for the price it might as well be. 5.5/10

for under 20$ this fragrance is honestly extremely good. to me it smells like frozen berries and powder and it smells great! I think the performance is middle of the road and it definitely leans a bit feminine but you can definitely pull this off as a man!

Absolutely smooth, fruity, woodsy vanilla fragrance leaning a bit feminine on my skin. GORGEOUS! It doesn't have a strong oud presence IMO so beginners to Middle Eastern fragrances may like this. I own about 12 Lattafa fragrances and this is a real treat🙂

Beautiful and underrated! Fruit, oud (although not listed as a note), spices, and rose. Has a fresh quality to it but not a freshie. Unisex, but leaning feminine. I will love this for the fall season. And soo affordable! 10/10

This is fantastic all around fragrance for summer....smells beautiful....unless you judge it right out of the box....Open the cap, spray a few times, then let it sit and macerate for a few weeks.....Patience is a virtue

Another rose fragrance cheapie. I love the way rose smells on me, and I tend to get plenty of compliments. Tip: Layer this with Bade Al Oude Amethyst to get a rose bomb that will last for hours and hours!

This is the fragrance that made me start paying attention to the lattafa brand ! I find that it’s notes layers well with other fragrances Longevity is eternal! It lasts days on my clothes till laundry

A very sweet, pleasant and rich fruity and floral perfume. Lasts ages and projects well. The Rose and fruits combine well. The dry down is sublime actually. An under rated gem. It's a love from me.

Sweet, fruity and likeable with floral and amber notes. Good potency and longevity. The silage is particularly nice. I love the bottle design too. I'm glad I bought this blind. Love it.

Sweet and fruity, I get a hint of incense as well. Very simple but not boring. The bottle is a bit goofy with random words all over it??? But hey it's $15 so I can't complain.

Just had one spritz. So far it's very nice. Sweet, dark, jammy fruits and heavy florals with character. This is not a fresh fragrance, it's heavy and sweet. Good potency.

I smell incense, leather at the beginning, and then pineapple. The fragrance is beautiful.

Great balance of sweet and woody

Although the majority of my and my partners fragrance collection is niche and bought in store or through the myriad discounters online, we still always check the fragrance sections in stores like TJ Maxx and Marshalls in case something interesting or fun pops up. Its rare but it happens. Recently we were in a Marshalls and I found a "tester" of Lattafa Ramz so I gave it a spritz on my wrist and I thought, "I like it. Its different to their usual "mens" fare." But I didnt get it... (I have a couple of other Lattafa frags - I am the half of this relationship that doesnt mind cheaper fragrances. I've found that Lattafa produces a fairly high quality products for tge money. Im consistently impressed with the bottles and packaging (if not the particular fragrances). They go above where they need to for being a dupe house. They dont look or feel "cheap" -- even when a 100ml bottle is $16.99 USD.) We kept shopping. Somewhere around the pet aisle I smelled my wrist again and thought, "Gee, this actually smells really nice.". I told my partner how much I liked it and she gave it a sniff and agreed. Still, I did not get it. We left but on the ride home I couldnt stop smelling my wrist. My partner suggested we pick it up next time we go - which we did, two days later. The fragrance itself IS unisex though I definitely get it leaning a little more feminine. But we are secure in our masculinity so things like that dont mean anything. Contrary to other reviews I dont think the opening is bad in any way. It doesnt have a plastic smell nor is it screech erc. It IS fruit forward at the start. You get that sweet/tart thinf with the rose underneath. The real magic of this one is in its dry down. It gets better and better with time. It becomes so smooth but maintains a lightness in its top notes even as it gets down into the bottom. The vanilla and patchouli are doing some sort of alchemical magic pulling all of it together while managing to keep the rose so well balanced as the through line. If you judge fragrances by their price then you might dismiss this one. But this IS quality. It gets compliments. I recommend it. I would even say its a safe blind buy if you pay attention to the notes and breakdown and youre familiar with lattafa. And $16.99...? Come on.

Saw the (Incorrect) notes listed by Fragrantica and decided to order this last week. Just received this today...and WHOOWEEE is this a "ROSE" fragrance! But it's not so bad...you can smell hints of the other notes, but do not be mistaken...this is a Rose-centered fragrance! Luckily, I had been looking for a "Rose Scented" frag to replace my cheapie "Burberry - Brit for him" that would also last a long time. Definitely not disappointed, as the main note I smell in this is the Rose...with little hints of the other fruits. Smoother than "Burberry Brit for him" and so far, lasts longer as well. Though I do miss the powdery aspect of BBfH. After wearing it over the course of a day and a night, I can say that this isn't a fragrance I could see wearing every day, but it will be great for those occasions where I have to put on a frag and I'm not able to reapply later in the day. 3-4 shots of this on skin would get you through a 48 hour period away from home...definitely! Just...don't spray it near your face... Seriously though...This is a beautiful "spring-day" scent and would also be great great great GREAT for a formal event. I will let my bottle mature in the closet until spring temps arrive...then debut it once I don't have to wear a heavy winter coat each day. Edit 1: It's now midnight and I can STILL smell this on me loud as day! This is absolutely nuclear performance...wow! Edit 2: Woke up the next day and could STILL smell this on me! I smelled absolutely LOVELY waking up this morning! Now THIS is the kind of performance I LOVE!!! Edit 3: I take it all back...this IS a fragrance that I can AND HAVE worn every day pretty much since I got it. Goodness gracious this is amazing juice!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 Layering options: - Layer this with a Vanilla frag like "Cremo - S&Bv" for a warmer smoother personal feel - Layer this with a Vanilla frag like "Mercedes-Benz Select Night" to own the town - Layer this with an Amber frag like "Davidoff - CWI" to muscle it up a bit on cooler days 19MAY22: Crud...still can't stand rose, rosemary and caraway after having COVID last year. Sadly, I'll be offloading this fragrance to a friend.

Woahhh I am a Lattafa fanatic but this is the first perfume of theirs to really hit me with a strong smell of gasoline/petrol on the initial spray, as I’ve heard the brand being accused of. I vaguely smell fruit and a wee bit of floral, but mostly I’m getting gas. ⛽️ Even after the dry down I still get a mumbley mush. Ok now it’s an hour later and it’s almost lost the gas smell & it’s now pretty amazing. I smell the rose, I smell some fruit.... First impression? Set this aside for a month to mascerate and mature, and come back to it for a better idea of what she’s actually all about. Edited: it’s been a little over a month and the fruity and floral smells are definitely stronger, but the petrol smell is still prevalent after I spray and during the dry down. I’ve decided to trick myself for now that maybe bc I like the smell of gasoline it doesn’t really bother me as much as when I first smelled it? Or is it just that it’s becoming less prominent too? I’ll keep editing as it macerates. Edited again: now it’s been 2 months and the gasoline smell is mostly gone. If I *really go looking for it w my nose, I can vaguely vaguely still pick it up but we’re now in the land of fruity florals for sure. Weird ride on this one, curious how it will behave in other temps too. Edited again: 3 months and the petrol smell is still 95% gone & the smoky in this scent is showing up. I love it! Hope that continues! Fall & winter might be this scent’s jam Edited: 7 months later, I’ve worn it a lot this winter which seems to be its best season. But I’m over it and gave it away to a friend. First of all, I hate the bottle. Initial spray for me was "Yuck" The dry down an hour later is nice AF though. I wear rose water mist in my hair for moisturizer and this layers really well with it for a general aura without clashing. Reminds me of Lattafah's Oud Mood. Just much fruitier, less oud. I wore it last night while I was out doing hoodrat stuff with my friends and it was quite pleasant. That gasoline opening smelled.... Strange. But keep in mind I just bought this bottle so I know it needs to oxygenate. It's nuclear and it smells exotic which is why I think middle eastern fragrances have a place in the market here in the U.S. Sometimes you just want to smell like you're from a different time zone. To me this fragrance smells very romantic and gives me feelings of a type of mystical devotion. Look up Bobby Valentino - Tell Me or Mariah Carey and Jadakiss - U Make Me Wanna Those 2 songs remind me of this fragrance. Will let my bottle oxygenate properly and update in a couple weeks or a month Update: I think I'm going to reserve this one for Fall / Winter. It's very very strong so I'm sure it will be best fitted for cold weather. May take some time for this bottle to do its thing. It smells gorgeous but it's not anything mind-blowing. Fire dry down. I think men can pull this off but if you're overly macho and want to smell like you wrestle hogs, stay away. If you're a suavé guy and can appreciate venusian things and not trying to come off like an"alpha male" *eyeroll* then you can vibe with this. Airy, Beautiful, lovely. But for cold weather only imo

I too bought this on Amazon for 13 bucks. I’ve been curious about Alexandria and when I learned this is similar and how cheap it is. I thought wth. I really like it. Makes up for my recent possible Khadlaj fail. The bottle is really cute too with the embossed lettering, though I’m not sure they really suite the juice with the cutesy words. Ramz is fruity, flowery, yet deep, dark and sexy. I am getting a vintage vibe with a slight smokiness and a touch of over ripened fruit. I’m sure with maceration it will improve and get even better. And I will be using this in my fall/winter rotation. I think it will be too much in the heat. Edit: When a reviewer mentioned juvenile I was like huh? But in the dry down I am getting a more juicy, fruity sweetness that is leaning more juvenile yet nostalgic so now I know what she means. Like a grown, amped up woody Brittney perfume. So maybe spring and summer nights this would work. And I can’t stop smelling my wrist as I love fruity scents, but I also love amber, woody, spicy so this is right up my alley.

I got this as a dupe for Al Madawi which I do own, but it's pricepoint makes it one for occasional wear for me. I find Al Madawi smells like peach jam and an underlying dried pineapple note. I see Ramz Gold does not have the pineapple blossom note of Al Madawi but the two are still remarkably similar. I think this is more masculine leaning than Al Madawi (for a Western market at least - I'm aware that Al Madawi is also popular with men in the Middle East). Ramz Gold is a muskier, duskier, slightly less sweet, pineapple-smelling-with-no pineapple-note, fruity Summery fragrance with a Middle Eastern feel. Says no oud but is somewhat oudy and has a touch of male cologne to it. Will hang onto it til Summer and then may keep or give to one of my sons depending what it's giving in the warmer weather.

Oud Mood’s fruity cousin! Not siblings but definitely related. What a wonderful surprise! This was a complete blind buy at a rack store and I won’t lie it had me nervous upon open. The initial spray is almost assaulting and I was shocked to see no oud at the top. But it quickly dissipates and reveals a fruity, woody warmth that is just addicting. The florals, wood, patchouli, and musk give it that similar DNA to OM, but where OM has a sugary caramel sweetness, Ramz is less sugar more natural fruit sweet. Dry pear and dry apple, with a deeper berry hiding behind them. Beautiful, bombastic, and completely unexpected. So far the cheapest in my collection from Lattafa are the best. Oud Mood, Mohra, and now Ramz. All below $20, just crazy.

Hear me out: This one right here, is a stunner. I had to let this one sit...for a good WHILE After the initial spray, say 10 minutes in, it is a beautiful aromatic adventure. You get the subtle sweetness of the fruits, a pop of rose and jasmine for warmth and sensuality that draws you back in for another intoxicating smell, and the patchouli grounding it all down. I've not tried what it is inspired by, but if you're into the Amouage DNA, this one would be one to pick up. For less than $20, this is a keeper. Yes the opening is a bit screechy, but from what I understand, some of Amouage's fragrances are as well. This one is best tested on skin. I was skeptical for a few months, but now I'm glad I didn't declutter it.

I’ve had it maturing for over 3 mos. The gasoline smell has just gotten unbearable. I will let it sit for another 3 mos and hopefully it gets better. I think it’s quite odd though that it has gotten worse. I do like the dry down. Disappointing, though. Ajwad Pink and Khadlaj le Prestige Royal also have that gasoline quality. I gave Ajwad Pink away and may end up doing the same with this and Prestige Royal. Edit: I tried again last night, a couple of weeks after this review. I’m starting to enjoy it more. I didn’t get any gas. Definitely unique in my collection. Fruity, deep, sexy, slightly vintage. Probably won’t reach for it a lot, but digging the vanilla musky dry down that is not an offensive patchouli.

Synthetic sweet fruity notes, woods and vanilla in a cloud of light incense. I feel its best used in autumn and winter and can be an office appropriate unisex fragrance. However, my issue is with the longevity. On clothing it fares better, but on skin, I can barely sniff any scent after 2-3 hours. The longevity is a let down from other better performing Lattafa fragrances. Update: 25/04/23, almost a year later, I've retested this fragrance and I definitely like the scent more than I did in 2022, it's not so synthetic in the opening. I'll retest for longevity to see if letting the fragrance mellow for so long changed things.

When first sprayed this it gives a strong gasoline scent. It’s super off putting but once it dries it is magical. It becomes a beautiful fruity floral woody scent. I really smell apple and peach in this and I love that. I think it layers well with some other fresh-fruity scents. I tried layering it three times so far. First with Figue Du Foret by Le Monde Gourmand which I think brought out the florals. Second with Applejuice by Zara which brought out the fruit (my personal favorite combo with this so far). Third with Thank U Next 2.0 body mist by Ariana Grande which brought out the sweetness.
