Shahrazad

I bought this perfume for the light sweetness in it, compared to Raghba I love the cardamom they used and the sweet vanilla and oud in the drydown For me it works great on skin, at least 12 hours persistance and sillage of more than 8 medium to high I sprayed in the eveningand the next morning still smelled it on my wrist Although having both, Shahrazad and Raghba, I sense the differences and love them differently I might even wear it tomorrow night for the New Year's Eve ❤️👌

Its a lovely oriental woody fragrance. I'm a hug fan of arabian woody fragrances and this is up there, love the notes in this but it could have done with something aromatic and fresh in with the blend. Only thing is its a bit on the weak side and dosen't last unfortunately. But other wise good value.

this is a different take on the already existing vanilla/ wood/amber based scents inspired from the famous 24 Gold scentstory or Raghba. scent story 24 gold is a spicy, woody and creamy scent because of vanilla, amber and sandalwood. Raghba because of vanilla, amber, sugar and musk in the base resembles to 24 gold scentstory but incense in Raghba gives it strength and distinction. Now in case of Shahrazad, the use of cardamom and saffron instead of incense makes it more versatile and elegant. the base remains the same with the use of agarwood/ guaiac wood and vanilla. another important feature is the use of nagarmotha. i think it played a double role in the composition. on one hand it brought its spicy character to neutralize the overwhelming effect of saffron and cardamom and on the other hand it helped the woody drydown to be more earthy in comparison to raghba and similar ones. it is not a beast mode scent but it gives you 7-8 hours of longevity with a good 3 hrs span of average projection which is a good thing. i dont want scents to scream its presence. anyone in the proximity can easily notice that. it is an ideal fragrance for a night time event particularly in winters.

Smells 90% similar to Ambre Amande (Amber Almond) L'Occitane en Provence, slightly more spicy.

[Shahrazad] ⚫️⚫️⚫️⚪️⚪️ INEXPENSIVE - CHARMING - WARM For those who compare Shahrazad to Raghba, it’s a very accurate comparison and helped me to gauge whether it was worth picking up so credit to you. To me it leans slightly more balsamic than Raghba and less sugary overall. Shahrazad opens with a chocolate-y cinnamon to me which slightly reminds me of the spices in Coca-Cola. I imagine it’s either the cinnamon and spices or myrrh giving this impression. This is in the typical style of Lattafa with ‘Oud’ playing a supporting role whilst resins and vanillic notes steal the show. Resins are everywhere here with benzoin and labdanum being most present. If you’ve ever smelt labdanum absolute then the dry down will feel very familiar in the rich, dark and syrupy nature of labdanum. This is (to me) the perfect autumn/winter fragrance when the weather isn’t so pleasant and the thought of staying indoors on a rainy Sunday afternoon seems like a sensible idea. Cosy cosy cosy. Longevity is good on my skin which is great considering my skin eats up fragrances very quickly. Not quite Raghba 12+ hours but certainly 8+ with moderate projection as it’s heavy in resins and oriental notes. This is undoubtably the better fragrance when compared to Raghba as it’s more resinous and not as sweet. Bottle and presentation are better too (in my humble opinion) and for £12/13 I’m not complaining one bit. Hope this was helpful for you guys.
