It's not,-but it is an incredibly good modern take on the classic aromatic fougere. It takes the tell=tale herbal oakmoss base but then surrounds it with sweet, citrus, fruit, vanilla, powder and woody aromas instead of more herbal aromatics. The result is a fresh and uplifting modern take on the aromatic fougere DNA that should appeal to both older and younger users. This is really quite good and is highly underrated and undervalued. Not sure why it has slipped below the radar. It's unisex and good for all ages. Men, though, should be aware of the fresh powdery note and women should be aware of every other note that might make this lean more masculine. This is great for warmer weather and outdoor activities. Performance is quite good and the price for it is great. This is designer quality for a discounter price and I would have loved to see it bloom into a full line of flankers the way other popular Middle Eastern brand fresh fragrances such as Dumont's Nitro and Celerio and Rasasi's Hawas. Shame this is the only one in the line, but I highly recommend it as is.

Imagine taking Dylan Blue.... Then completely changing it....LOL.... NO, seriously.... I get the comparison. This is giving vibes that echo the OG by Versace. If Dylan Blue had more wood, more jammy-sweetness, and a rich clove note at the base, then I would call this a clone. I would say, instead, that this is a loosely "inspired-by" fragrance. When you first spray this on, it does something interesting. Most fragrances greet you with their lichter, sweeter notes, then dry down to a deeper, woodier, spicier base. But, not Sumou Platinum. Right after you spray, the mahogany, and cedar flood the air around you with this dry, woody, experience of a deep forest walk. But, as you walk, you enter a cleaning. An Orchard by a CRYSTAL CLEAR lake breaks up the woody Terrain. Suddenly you are surrounded by apple, plum, and citrus trees. Their fruity jammy scent, marries with the aquatic, cool, aquatic fragrance of the lake (there are no aquatic notes, but I think the jammy plum, envokes that aquatic feel). A log cabin on the hill-side; smoke rolling from the chimney, releases the scent of a baking dessert, filled with cinnamon, vanilla, and clove. You sit in the mossy grass, on the hillside, soaking in the sun... breathe deeply, and let the sweet, woody, fruity scent transport you to an ethereal high. That... is Sumou Platinum....Enjoy !

This is almost like two different fragrances. The opening is vastly different than the final dry down. It is quite wonderful especially for sub $20. So it opens up with this wonderful sharp citrus and sweet fruityness. I can totally smell the plum note strong, and I dig it a lot. As it dries down it starts to smell more and more like a blue fragrance(woody, incense, slightly powdery, clean, soapy)like Versace Dylan Blue I guess, but it's still amped up. By the end after about 8-10hrs it smells very woody and smoky. It's a pretty strong departure from the fruity sweet tart blast in the opening. By about the 6hr mark it's a woody smoky skin scent, but on clothes it still smells pretty strong, and clean citrus fruity. It comes in roaring like a lion but goes out like a smoky lamb. Bottom line it's excellent, and smells like Versace Dylan Blue and Hawas Ice had a baby that was just like a stronger Dylan Blue with Hawas Ice's eyes and nose.

The neverending problem when picking blue fragrance is you'll always confused because of the muscle memory after sniffing that leads you to arguing to compare this with Bleu de Chanel and Versace Dylan Blue. I'll go with Dylan Blue for describing this Sumou Platinum character, because I smell more wood rather than citrus. Sumou means "loftiness or majesty" in Arabic, so you'll float and get noticed that you're the highly respected yet down to earth serene gentleman that smells polite and inoffensive. I personally will make this as a signature scent myself. Totally safe blind-buy, very versatile, very masculine, very mass-pleasing, and highly respectable.

People talking like it's bad are absolutely ridiculous, this a fairly complex freshy. It's not some super burst of citrus, it could actually be a mix of blue and green scents. I'm about two hours in and I get this faint smell of a Banana Republic Grassland style fragrance, it's like mixing a nice mellow blue freshy with Grassland, that's what I get and I love it.

Pleasant & Masculine: The fragrance opens with energizing citrus notes and settles into a woody, masculine scent. Longevity s moderately long-lasting, allowing you to enjoy it for several hours. Silage & Projection is not overpowering, it leaves a noticeable trail around you. Always let them sit for a few weeks to experience full potential.

Well mine is a more than a year old bottle and the juice has settled down nicely and the longevity increased and to my nose it feels more like Versace Dylan Blue with added sweetness

this stuff is great. i would still like to own a bottle of the original eventually, but judging factoring in the price, this is a 10/10 scent

If Sumou Platinum were a comic book character it would be Dylan Dog, loved by entire generations of teenagers and adults, he is also known worldwide for his “always the same” look, i.e. red shirt with open collar, fitted black blazer, jeans in light blue, black leather belt and, on his feet, beige suede ankle boots. When I smelled this perfume for the first time, I was immediately reminded of this character, Dylan Dog. Sumou Platinum is another of the Lattafa Arabian fragrances that has nothing to do with Middle Eastern scents. Initially, it releases a fresh, mainly citrus and peppery accord, with a salty amber and semi-sweet burnt sugar lying underneath. From the first notes, the fragrance screams and calls out the hot summer, with a predominantly masculine edge, that kind of fresh, green and aromatic aroma that most men prefer to wear. The bitter grapefruit and bright bergamot are there, so well-blended that it is nearly impossible to distinguish one another individually. This is so far what I get out of my skin. From the blotter instead comes an aroma that reminds me of Baileys Irish Cream made of milk, whiskey and a touch of green apple. It’s strange, but that’s what I get. Refreshing, aromatic, and sour is the initial blaze. Then, Sumou Platinum takes a turn as the initial acid blast mellows out a bit. It becomes more aromatic, smoky and papery. I get mostly the dewy, leafy violet, even though it’s not listed, with a good dose of black pepper berries and papyrus leaves. The violet leaves add a veil of wateriness while the salty ambroxan continues its journey without weighing down the fragrance. In the central phase, moist violet dominates the scent, while on the paper, the fruity green apple prevails. The tones of the violet leaves do not give up and reach the finish line. In the dry-down, I begin to perceive the presence of resinous and earthy elements more clearly. Patchouli and incense give depth and thickness to the final stage, which on the skin gives a musky, soapy, clean, and slightly semi-sweet toasted veil. I love incense and incensed notes, in all its nuances, from the most clerical to the most resinous ones. Unfortunately, they are only mentioned here, in passing. the sweetness that was present in the opening is stronger, but it is a dusty and vanilla sweetness, like that found in coumarins. The trail remains dusty and musky, without ever being too dirty or earthy. The dark notes of patchouli and incense are perfectly balanced. Sumou Platinum is the kind of perfume that you can easily wear to go to the office, in your free time, or for an outing with friends, from morning until evening, versatile, mainly in the warmer months. It belongs to the genre of fresh fragrances defined as “blue”, without wanting to replicate Sauvage EAU DE TOILETTE or Bleu de Chanel EAU DE TOILETTE. On my skin, I get a restrained performance, both in projection and durability. It’s not a bomb, but given the very low cost, it can be reapplied several times. These are my impressions based on a bottle I have owned since April 2024 (BC M02- 230702011, PD 08.2023, 12,45 €)

EDIT: Recently got Dylan Blue and thought to compare; this is very very similar to Dylan Blue, but imho much BETTER. If Dylan Blue is juvenile for you, then this has a little more depth to it because of those woods. I honestly like this more than Dylan blue becuase it feels fuller and more bodied. Performance is the only disappointing factor, lasts maximum 4 hours on my skin and project mild for the first hour. Got this for €12 and I am happy with the scent for that price. Yes this is a more oriental yet airy vibrant Dylan Blue-esque frag, if that makes sense. But I would not exactly consider it a 1:1 clone as it misses on the depth and is a little sharp (maybe becuase i get grapefruit at top, which is not mentioned here). Performance is fairly average, lasts for about 4-5 hours on my skin with moderate projection for the first hour, stays a skin scent thereafter. A good dumb reach rotation option in spring, summer and early autumn. Do not buy it for a Dylan Blue clone like me, not a must have so go for it you need a citrus forward cheap burner for warmer days, its just okay.

When sprayed straight from the box it smelled like body odour. After 6 months of maceration it started tocome close to Dylan Blue. A year later it is 80% close to the OG. The opening is less citrusy and less fresh, but the drydown smells like Dylan Blue to me. EDIT: it has been now a year since I bought this. It matured and blended really well. It is very close to the OG Dylan Blue. It is a bit more fresh than DB and one woody note is missing but other than that a solid altenrative for Dylan Blue, if you are willing to wait for it to mature 10+ months

Smell good , fresh ,manly, similar to dylan blue 90% , projection and longetivity is just average but for the price great scent

So, funny story... When I was first getting into fragrances, I sampled Dylan Blue and REALLY liked it. Had it been just a little cheaper (even though I know it is not expensive) I would have made it my signature scent right then and there. I decided that I liked it a lot. There was no need to sample it further. I wouldn't buy it because I am a cheapskate, but it was very good nonetheless. Done. A couple of years later, I heard Lattafa Sumou Platinum was very like Dylan Blue for only $16-20. So, I bought Sumou Platinum. I disliked it. I thought it must just be a very bad clone of DB since I liked DB so much. But, just yesterday, I had the opportunity to try them side-by-side. It turns out Sumou Platinum is a good deal like Dylan Blue-- my nose just doesn't like the Dylan Blue profile much anymore. Who knew? As for an actual review, Sumou Platinum is like Dylan Blue in most respects. The two fragrances produce a very similar effect except that DB offers the accords in a much more smooth and laid-back style, and SP shouts every syllable. SP is sharper, sweeter, woodier, and smokier. Essentially, I find SP too biting where DB is at least a smoother take on the profile-- even if I'm not too fond of that profile anymore. If you will bear an analogy, it's like Dylan Blue is a Jazz saxophone player and Sumou Platinum is his over-confident kid brother who tries to play the same song on a honking, second hand clarinet. That said, if you like Dylan Blue but wish there was an "extreme" version of it where just about everything is revved up a bit, you might just LOVE Sumou Platinum.

This is like if your 80-year-old grandfather made a flanker of Versace Dylan blue and currently had a fixation on scooping jelly out of a jar with his hands. It has all of the facets of being a good blue fragrance but then almost honestly ruins it with how fucking jammy it is. There are times when I wear it and I'm like this really is not that bad but 99% of the time I cannot stop thinking about how much I smell like an old man because of how jammy sweet it is. Like there's a difference between a fresh sweet and this and it's not a good difference. Really though it's not that bad at all it just kind of goes and it really weird direction with the scent profile. If you like jamminess this is perfect but if you don't like jamminess then this is going to smell like an 80-year-old man.

A summer scent, safe, fresh, clean, average performer.

For the price you can't complain too much but the smell itself isn't something I quite like. First thing that comes to my mind is like an adidas perfume that comes in a box set of shower gel and other things.

Tried Dylan blue and a store and this one is somewhat similar, but to me it doesn't seem like a clone. But for the low price it's a decent fragrance nonetheless.

Ok, first of all I only paid $16usd for this and it smells like I got robbed of my $16 dollars. This smells bad like body odor or like dog breath. I have let it sit for 6 months already thinking it was going to turn but honestly there's only been a slight change. It's so bad that in 6 months I have not brought myself to actually wear this out somewhere. I have been spraying it on index cards and on it's own box but I've yet to wear it. Yes, I can pick up a blue scent maybe even a hint of Dylan Blue but I could be trying hard just to talk myself into it. Trust me don't make the same mistake I made and stay away from this one. Honestly one of the worst buys I have ever made. Have your dog lick your hand then smell it. That's what this one smells like. Worst buy in my collection.

One of the worst smells I have ever smelled. It literally smells like sneez or saliva.
