Vanilla Freak

Vanilla and gourmand scents are my favorite, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect vanilla cupcake scent that would make me smell like dessert. I’m sensitive about strong smells and nauseating scents, and I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised with this one. Despite the expectation of an overly sweet scent, I adore this fragrance. When I first spray it, I get hit with an immediate note of cupcakes and buttercream. As it sits on the skin it slowly sets into a creamy vanilla with a warm hint of almond and cinnamon. I like to layer this with vanilla based perfumes and it creates the most heavenly combination. My only complaint is the longevity, as with a lot of gourmand fragrances they often fade away quite fast due to the light and velvety notes. You likely have to reapply it every 3-4 hours, which isn’t too bad. Considering the price, it’s absolutely worth the money and it’s become one of my signatures. Another bonus is not only the compliments I get on it, but also my boyfriend not being able to resist me because it smells so delicious.

Will update my review and rankings when mine arrives to be an ACTUAL REVIEW and actual rankings on performance, seasons, etc. But yall, come on. Writing in the review section when you haven't tried something purely because you don't like a bottle design or the notes is weird. Not everything is made to be appealing to you and thats okay. Taking the time out of your day to moan about a bottle you aren't even going to try is weird behavior. Especially commenting that the notes look bad. Like, the world isn't catered to you. A tad pretentious to think so. The point of a review is to comment on a product you have tried to let others who are interested in it know if it met standards. If I went on H&M's website and wrote a review that I thought a skirt looked tacky so I wasn't going to buy it, that would be a useless comment and not a review. A review would be saying if the skirt fit or not and how the material was in person. Reviews aren't comment sections to speak grievances on products you aren't interested in.

I really don’t understand why Vanilla Freak isn’t more loved. It smells absolutely delicious and, in my opinion, it might be one of the best fragrances in the Give Me Gourmand collection. I loved it from the very first spray. Just like the notes suggest, there’s a noticeable buttery scent at first. However, the more you wear it, the less you notice the butter, and the fragrance gradually becomes more about the almond and vanilla. Those are the notes I smell the most now, and I still enjoy wearing Vanilla Freak. It also reminds me of the pleasantly scented plastic dolls we used to play with as kids. Even though they were made of plastic, they had such a nice, comforting smell, and this fragrance brings back that memory for me. Another thing that really surprised me is its longevity. I can still smell it on my clothes even after they’ve been washed.

This smells soooo good ME🥰. Initially I wasn’t feeling it. The opening spray smelled like burnt sugar cookies. But the cool down on me is amazing. It smells sooooo GOOD. It’s dries down to a fresh, clean but at same time smoky, sensual scent. This is a good intimate scent for me. I would DEF buy again and again. I’m going to buy a back up bottle and try the berry one. I really only bought this because I’m really girly and was attracted to the bottle. I’m really happy I bought this. This is a really nice girly middle eastern scent. I give 10 outta 10 🌟’s for this really cute bottle and the perfume.

I am surprised by the lower rating of this because I love it. It opens like a frosted cupcake and dries down into a cinammony milk scent. I smell it 12 hours later on clothes and it’s super pleasant. Now I’m intrigued by the others in the line because was the lowest rating and it’s a love for me. Lattafa’s longevity seems to be head and shoulders above other Arab fragrances because all other recent non- Lattafa purchases disappear on me. But the Lattafas last and last, even this one. Don’t be fooled by the rating, you may end up loving it like me.

1st: Noone here has actually received a bottle and smelled this. 2nd of all: Not every perfume is for every demographic and every nose. Sandalwood smells horrific to me, do I go around review bombing woody perfumes? No. I'm not daft. I check the notes for things I buy, and if I encounter a perfume that smells like bleach, I check here and lo and behold... Sandalwood. If you think the bottle is juvenile, do not buy it. If you tjink the scent profile is juvenile, do not buy it. it's really very simple.

If you want an absurdly milky, sweet vanilla extract stink without bitterness, this is the smell for you. I'm obsessed with the almost synthetic feeling scent, it overpowers its own musk note so much and I'm so relieved it does. The lack of citrusy drydowns is such a gamechanger too, lets it be the true gourmand I've sought out desperately for. I bathed my bedsheets in it, it feels like falling asleep in a bowl of frosting, I sleep like a goddamn baby.

An actual review from someone who owns it (wow): cake batter! But make it wearable. Just got it in so no notes on longevity yet, but smells like an almond cupcake with vanilla frosting. Very calming and yummy, not overly sweet. Just the right amount. Packaging is heavy and feels sturdy and well-made. Its giving day time gourmand. Pairs perfectly with EOS vanilla cashmere. Same kinda vibes

Does anyone can smell Ariana Grande’s Cloud in the dry down? A little bit sweeter, cinnamony, with a hint of Victoria’s Secret Sparkling Creme( which to me smells like pickles) and with a more pronounced medicinal note. This would’ve been such a beautiful fragrance without that very faint smell of pickles that my nose perceives. The bottle is very beautiful.

😍 Oooh, I can't wait for these to become available in the UK. I'm going to get all 6 of them. Loving all the yummy notes, and I personally adore the bottles (will go nicely with my Anna Sui ones). I've never been disappointed with Lattafa Perfumes, so I'm excited to get my hands on these babies 🙃!

This is my fave of this line! Want to smell like a vanilla cupcake? This is it! No extras, just straight vanilla cupcake. Love to wear this during the day paired with EOS vanilla cashmere. It’s my airport scent cause it’s not going to overpower but still smells good.

The bottle is so very cute. I don't why people are so mad about it and downvoting when they haven't even smelled it. Not everyone wants a boring ass bottle. They're meant to be fun and whimsical.

This smells like how the cap of the bottle looks. From start to finish this smells like fresh warm blueberry glazed cake doughnuts. It's an overload of gooey sticky sweetness.

I really love it! It does have a slightly playful, almost youthful vibe, but honestly. It smells so delicious and addictive that I can’t stop enjoying it.

The whole series is awsome, don’t listen to anybody saying otherwise. This is yummy biscuit cookies with vanilla.

I’m gonna give you my honest opinion. This is literally sol de janeiro 62 with the vanilla note being toned up. I have both and comparing this two together I have to say they are very similar. At first spray it’s a little fruity and then on the dry down you can smell the sugar, vanilla and almond. I was sceptical when buying this fragrance because of bad reviews but I’m pleasantly surprised at how good this is. If you love sweet vanilla fragrances this one is for you.

A very buttery and milky vanilla in it's core. I also saw someone describe it as reminiscent of the milk left over after eating some fruity pebbles cereal. To me it's very soft, and honestly it reminds me of Eilish no. 1 a little bit on the dry down. It's the kind of creaminess that is faint and kinda skin scent after a while. I'm going to use up the tester to see if it's good enough for a full bottle.

This starts off like berry cereals, its has a bit musky underground but not so strong - I overall do not like musk in perfumes. Then it turns into cake vanilla like the one from Montale and end up smelling milky like Chabaud lait concentre. The only downside is the longevity and projection. You need to overspray to get to 6 hrs mark.

Not sure why this gets so much hate. It's a sweet gourmand vanilla fragrance. At first there was something like a popcorn note but I think it's supposed to be the cake batter. An hour later it has mellowed to a nice skin scent that I catch when I move around.
