Wajood

Wajood is an absolutely amazing dark aquatic scent! It’s got this salty, dark watery seaweed, and this very clean woody vetiver (not rooty like encre noir). Both of these elements bring a weird image to my mind, like a cabin in the woods that’s somehow next to a murky violent sea in a heavy rain day. I love Kenzo EDT intense, I always test it and sometimes wear it in two of my nearby retail stores. I’ve never pulled the trigger on it because it’s got some limited availability on discounters / fb groups in my city, or when it’s available it hasn’t been a priority to me. It’s a strong, dark, transgressive aquatic fragrance which is exactly what I’m looking for. Wajood does an amazing job in replicating this DNA, I’d say it’s a 90% similar, and only because it’s got a twist that I like: Wajood has a leathery-ish accord in it’s back bone which is not found in the Kenzo fragrance, this twist makes it a very nice alternative to this DNA. Quality-wise though, they’re 100% the same, Kenzo’s not known for their natural smelling ingredients anyways. Also, you gotta keep in mind, these darker more unique fragrances need their synthetics for their creativity and heavy performance. Wajood brings Oud Minerale, Atlas / Megamare, Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme, or any of the fragrances of the Kenzo homme bambu bottle line to mind. I’ve seen comments describing this as screechy or a “synthetic mess”, and I have to disagree, from first spray this feels like any well rounded fragrance. My guess is people who are not familiar with dark aquatics buy this expecting something more in the normie aquatic family. Wajood is a strong performer, but it causes noseblindness for a while when you smell it directly from your skin, but when you forget about it, you keep smelling it. Highly recommend this one if you like any of the fragrances I listed before. If possible, test Kenzo EDT Intense if that’s an available fragrance in your nearby stores to decide. Update: During the superbowl, I applied this at around 12:40 pm, I went with my brother who was wearing Teriaq Intense, to one of his friend's house to watch the game. At around 4-5 pm, after smoking a lot and being in the sun, I got a compliment from one of his friends, saying that he liked my fragrance and it smelled good and unique. Since my brother was projecting so loudly with Teriaq, and was kinda nearby, I told him it may be my brother's fragrance, but upon further inspection, he was indeed talking about Wajood, and he couldn't believe it was 25 bucks lol, said it smelled way more expensive.

Wajood does not impress with its complexity; it remains linear and unchanging. What you get at the start is what you'll experience throughout — a marine and metallic scent with spiced wood, intense vetiver, and the impression of mineral-like wet stones, as if they were freshly plucked from a shoreline. It is earthy and darkly captivating. I find it amusing when reviews search for hints of a sweaty ass in this scent. Wajood, to me, evokes the sensation of being on a rocking boat during a fishing trip, enveloped by the raw power of the ocean. Beyond the salty marine notes, it is deeply aromatic, with an undercurrent of nostalgia, comparable with weathered wood. It might remind one of the air and general aroma of nature after a storm, especially in a forest setting, where the scent of wet leaves, combined with the rich scent of damp earth, brings about a certain melancholy yet comforting presence. My favorite place to wear it is the saline graduation tower, where I go every week after it gets dark. That's when everyone leaves the place, and it's only mine until it's closed. Wajood merges perfectly with the architecture, the sound, and the vibe of that damp microclimate. During my breathing time there, I feel a deep, almost primal connection with the surroundings, as if the scent itself were an echo of the environment's essence. Wajood is an extremely intense fragrance that lingers on clothes for a long time, with decent projection. The only other two metallic summer fragrances I've had to compare it to are Lattafa Masa, which is much weaker by comparison, and Armaf Milestone, which is also a summer favorite of mine. If you're not deterred by its dark weight, linearity, and the atmosphere of a fishing expedition, this could be a perfect match. It has an animalistic quality, raw and unyielding. However, it's probably not a safe blind buy unless you're like me and enjoy all types of scents, or if it's not intended as a gift. I believe this fragrance can be worn anywhere and any time, but be sure to apply it sparingly if you don't want to come across as an overwhelming ocean blast. As for me, I feel like the epicenter of a storm or its cause when wearing this. It's truly a beast mode fragrance. Alright, let's get molecular on Lattafa Wajood. Strap in. The opening is a chemical shockwave they call "Sea Notes," but let's be frank—this isn't a gentle ocean breeze. It's a lab-made tsunami of dihydromyrcenol and calone, that metallic, salty ozone hit that screams "AQUATIC" with the subtlety of a air horn. Immediately, pink pepper's beta-caryophyllene barges in, fizzing like static electricity on a wool sweater. This isn't a peaceful beach day; it's a storm rolling in over a rocky shore, and it's aggressive enough that I have to respect it. But here's the plot twist: the marine top notes are a complete Trojan Horse. While you're distracted by the sea spray, the molecular heavyweights are moving in. Vetiver's gnarly roots, loaded with earthy khusimone, rise from the soil, and patchouli brings its dank, chocolatey patchoulol to the party, throwing a deep anchor into your skin. The "fresh" opening is getting mugged in a dark alley by these earthy bruisers, and it's a brilliant ambush. The base is where the real magic happens, as sandalwood's creamy santalol molecules start holding hands with amber's warm, synthetic glow; thank you, ambroxan, you beautiful, tenacious beast. This creates a creamy, woody-amber dry-down that is ridiculously persistent. The scent trail you leave is a complete lie; it starts as "ocean man" and finishes as "woody god." The performance is a ten-foot force field, with longevity measured in business days, not hours. This is a molecular lesson in durability where the fresh notes evaporate fast, but the vetiver and sandalwood molecules are heavy, stubborn, and stick around for a fight. The verdict? This isn't a cologne; it's a chemical engineering project with fantastic taste, for the man who wants to smell clean but needs a scent with the backbone of a heavyweight champ. Blind buy this if you want a "fresh" scent that can bench-press its competitors. You've been warned.

I'm back in the review game after an extended leave of absence. And for the record, Versace Dylan Blue has been moved to the "Perfumes I Had" list in my user profile... Anyway, on a related matter, I was introduced to Lattafa Wajood by my probation officer (thanks Kostas). I have now placed it as my signature fragrance, not because I need my PO to think that I think he's a bad ass, because he is, and he already knows I know he is (dude, you're like Kojak with an electric car), but because Wajood, more than any other fragrance, transports me to a better time and place. It reminds me of childhood visits to my Grandma's in Salton City. I haven't been there in years, but as I remember it, everything there smelled Wajoody. Basically her whole neighborhood, if you could call it that. It was really more of a lunar landscape, strewn with driftwood and broken glass. I guess that's what Wajood means - Jean's place (she wouldn't let us call her Grandma). OK, hold on... I just looked up Wajood with the Googles. It means "Existence" in Persian. Existence... Existence..... My God these Lattafa people get me!!! Thanks Lattafa. Thanks for bringing a tear to my eye. Damn... Anyway, just lettin' you all know - buy this juice!!! Me and Kostas like it. Great stuff if you want to smell Wajoody.

One of my signature perfumes. I really liked this one.it opens up like salty aquatic earthy mossy like seaweed that is wet from the deep of the ocean then dry down to that nomad-ish gasoline creamy oud.compliment getter but only from men🥲.my girl said it smells like lemongrass and she felt like a mosquito but that is after 12 hrs mark coz I don't have the chance to respray.longevity wise last longer than 12 hrs I don't think I need to test it more than that.met my friend at 7 hr mark he said its strong af and it smells so good.not something u would wear to meet ur girl tho.but its all rounder smells good in air conditioned places.and smells good eventho it sweating AF coz I went to hike using this and became sweaty af and still my big bro said the smell is good.longevity projection super strong.and it's very smooth not screechy maybe mine is batch early 2024 long maceration overall I love this one

Lattafa Wajood is a unique perfume. I have not smelled any of the kenzo homme fragrances, and I don't know how much similar Wajood is to them, but on its own it's amazing. It opens up very aquatic and woody, gives me vibes of standing on the edge of a swimming pool where the air is pregnant with moisture. It is not sweet at all, I don't think it is a crowd pleaser in the way that everyone would love smelling it on their own body, but it is a crowd pleaser in the way that a lot of people would like smelling it on someone else. It's very masculine and mature, can be worn for most occasions imo. Although this is a freshie, but its performance is mind blowing. It literally fills the room with 3-4 sprays and lasts well beyond 24 hours on clothes, on skin easily past 12 hours. I love how uniquely it smells.

Pretty good. Undeserving of a sub 4 rating really. This is kenzo homme edt intense, more masculine and more cheaply made and poorly blended. Lattafa tried recreating the Akigalawood note by mixing their synthetic oud with patchulol and a few other elements. In the end its poorly blended and slightly screechy unlike the OG. Still it has potential and I'm certain it will get better with time, but as of now, the opening is really poorly blended, with 2 distinct scents fighting against eachother. With a plasticky incense smell in the beginning. I dont consider this to be bad per se, but I see potential for this if it sits long enough. Longevity for me was average or even below, again it might get a lot better. Drydown is actually good, and gets that sunscreen lotiony smell from the sandalwood.

Starts off like a woody aquatic, freshened by a bracing dose of pepper, with patchouli and vetiver. Quite masculine and mature. Seems very like niche quality. The woody, earthy base is quite dark, making this a dark aquatic, which is a pretty unique vibe. No warmth whatsoever, its temperature is very cool. The dark earthy base reminds me a lot of Encre Noir, with an added aquatic element. I really like it, it’s quite a bit different from the usual frags. This can be worn nearly all year - maybe most of all spring (especially rainy days), then fall and cooler summer days, but perhaps not winter.

Just got this over the weekend. I like this quite a bit. There is a bit of challenge to this as it transitions from the opening to the mid with the patchouli being a bit dank. Eyes closed, this brings me to a shore during a thunderstorm as the waves crash against a compilation of woods...its the smell of this air. It dries down to something like sunscreen lotion or something coconutty. The longevity out the box isn't crazy...maybe 6-7 hours. Projection is good for the first 30 minutes before drawing back. Will sit this and retest later for improvements. Very good so far.

This is a unique marine scent. I'm getting a combo of pink pepper, vetiver, sea notes, and a metallic incense note (if there is such a thing). It's a little odd but in a way that I find quite appealing and mysterious. It performs quite well but I don't find it loud in terms of projection. I'm enjoying this! Edit: ok I was wrong about projection. I wore it today and it is loud for almost 3 hours. I guess I was getting nose blind to it earlier. Edit 2: this smells very close to Kenzo Homme EDP but Wajood is woodier, more peppery, and denser overall.

Comfortably the most photorealistic marine scent I have ever worn. Gorgeous breezy pink pepper and oceanic notes with just a subtle touch of seaweed. To an extent, significantly more dark and mysterious than the notes suggest. I live in a tropical country, by the beach and this smells like an empty beach after a storm on an overcast monsoon evening on one of my runs. As someone who dislikes blue scents, this is as good as it gets, albeit not in a traditional blue sense.

I don't understand the low Fragrantica rating? I love this stuff. Dupe of Tom Ford Oud Minerale, one of the underrated fragrances in the TF lineup, which was always one of my favorites. Sweet, fresh, and mineral-y, like the ocean. Lasts 4-6 hours with fairly strong projection, then sticks to your clothes and skin. When I showered, I could literally smell this as the water hit my skin. A wonderful masculine, summer scent. Would I buy this again? Yes.

This is Tom Ford Ombre Leather×Kenzo Homme Marine and what a sexy nuclear in strength beast. I wanna gatekeep this gem so only my man can smell like this! 😉 It has a cold metallic nuance mixed with a salty aromatic aquatic feel. You are floating on a Mediterranean sea in your oversized metal boat and as you are getting hit with cold waves you pickup on the salty breeze, seaweed and moss. This 1 is for the "bad" boy...the rebel. Obsessed!

1. This is not an Oud Minerale dupe. 2. This is not a Megamare dupe. 3. It is exponentially better than both, lacks the heavy seaweed smell, and is somewhat like Kenzo Homme, but richer. 4. It is one of the greatest marine scents ever created. Complex, rich, nuanced, and dark—imagine a rolling storm by the beach. 5. It is absolutely nuclear and works in every weather. I've tested it in the brutal, unforgiving climate of Goa.

This is such a great value fragrance. It evolves throughout the day and reminds you of its presence on the move. Very versatile, professional enough to wear to work and interesting enough to take on a date. Silage is ok, within arm reach or maybe a little bit more. Longevity is 5hrs at least, I get whiffs of it on the 7hr but not as strong as before. I like to put it in the evenings. Blind buy safe in my opinion.

I like it a lot. BUT when compared to kenzo homme intense they are only kinda similar in the deep drydown. Right off the bat it's a strong, woody aquatic scent. On my skin it has this medicinal vibe, as if I were wearing a bandage with iodine but off my clothes it's much more pleasing. It gives off this niche frag vibe but definitely NOT Kenzo because I have that too

I have not smelled Kenzo edt intense. I have edt and edp. Right now I feel it’s 1:1 with edp. It is also very similar to TF Oud Mineral, which I had on my upper arm. The thing that trips me out the most is the level of quality in this fragrance. Cloning is done so well but most of the time you can pickup the difference in quality but not with this one. Blown away.

This smells fantastic!! This is the type of fragrance that will fill a room and when someone smells it, they will wonder where it is coming from. In some ways it smells more like a scent you would use to make a room smell nice rather than a fragrance. Trust me, this is not a bad thing because of the quality and uniqueness. Solid Solid solid!!

I got stopped in Costco by another man, he asked me if what he's smelling is my cologne. I told him probably, lol, and he said, "I just want to keep smelling you forever." Best. Compliment. 😂 He said it hit him like no other cologne has before, like in a movie where scents turn someone on, lololol

Although Wajood is somehow linear, so far THE BEST FROM LATTAFA. Masculine, Long lasting, High heat companion, Work fellow. Unique scent, can not be categorized, it is said to be an aquatic, No it is not. this one bewildered me when I first smelled it and still. Good job Lattafa.

I love this scent it's masculine, bold and unapologetic. Wajood smells like a rustic leather workshop, woods and leather. I will let It macerate, this fragrance profile really improves after some time

Lattafas Vetiver is so good. Fresh and spicy opening. Very mature, then the earthiness and softness come through in the dry down. Very impressive that is stays robust and fresh.

Very masculine smelling but a tad bid heavy and cloying for a woody aquatic or for a summer fragrance

Context: Private Blend Oud Minérale is my favorite fragrance; the original '90s Kenzo Pour Homme is high on my list as well, and I have three or four other versions of Kenzo in my collection and daily rotation, so I'm familiar with these profiles. I blind bought Wajood for $25 USD. As a lover of aforementioned dark aquatic / marine / woody fragrances, this seemed like a likely win, and no big loss if not. I was hoping for something with a unique twist or variation while still hanging out in the same general neighborhood as the above, but, as others have mentioned before, this is extraordinarily close to two specific Kenzos: the currently produced katana-cut-bamboo bottles KH EDT Intense and KH EDP. In fact, this is so close to both of these fragrances that I'd call it a clone; 98% similarity. It primarily resembles the EDT Intense, especially in the opening, but as it dries it shows off a little bit of the sweet-leather / fig accord that is found in the EDP. This is nothing whatsoever like Oud Minérale; there is no saltiness here at all. The only note they have in common is the fresh-aquatic blast which I assume is calone or some similar aromachemical blend, and perhaps some pepper. Alongside the freshwater / aquatic accord, Wajood features a dominating, dark, resinous, earthy-woody accord. This combination of woods and aquatics, to my nose, smells precisely like a beautiful pile of organic cedar mulch after a heavy rain. Wet, fresh, resinous, earthy, aromatic wood. Almost like freshly turned soil in a dark coastal cedar forest of the Pacific Northwest. Overall, this is more of a supremely-dark woody fragrance than it is an aquatic. It's absolutely not any kind of "fresh aquatic" featuring citrus or light herbs or Mediterranean vacation vibes. - You may like this if you enjoy Oud Minérale, but don't expect direct similarity in the notes; what they share is rather a general wet darkness of mood. - If you love Encre Noire, you may love this as well; it features the same level of concentrated damp woodiness, albeit with a different "flavor". The woods of Wajood are a bit spicier or tangier than the heavy vetiver of Encre Noire. - If you already have Kenzo Homme EDT Intense or Kenzo Homme EDP, this is redundant. If you don't have either of those but you want them, this is a very affordable clone which will get you 98% there. Beautiful fragrance – 89% – sadly it feels redundant in my collection.

Interesting, very unique fragrance. It will subvert expectations and have you wondering what angle it's coming from. The opening is sharp and more of a woody, peppery scent that goes away quickly. The mids offer a more of a green, spruce woody smell of the trees surrounding a lake or beach with the slightest touch of the salty, oceanic/lake, mineral smell. I'm getting a Pacific Northwest/Nova Scotia feel. This stuff is great on light rainy, overcast days at the end of summer as it matches that vibe. The green, woody notes hover above your skin while the watery, mineral & earthy notes stick to closer your skin. Almost like the forest air hovering over the water and ground. The vetiver and patchouli take center stage here before more seamlessly merging into the sandalwood/amber drydown where it settles down after a while and the sea salt, marine smells show more of themselves. It still needs a bit more salt. This base is really where it's at and you get more of the mineral/oceanic vibe that you paid to see. The amber is very subtle but it's there. Wajood is a dry scent with good projection and performance that lasts about 8 or so hours. It has a sillage of 6 or more feet before it tones down to about 2 feet. It's good for wearing for yourself around the house, pottering around town, or having a few beers on the deck or bonfire with your friends as the summer sun goes down. This scent is mature or more for those who refuse to grow up or those that are more in tune with what life's really about. I'm picturing wind-swept hair, flip-flops, worn and faded jeans and a loose white T-shirt. This reminds me of hiking, camping, and walks on a forest-lined, non-tourist lake or beach at the end of the summer season where the weather is turning. This is a very nice unique scent that needs a couple of wearings before you fully appreciate it (and edit your review a couple of times). It toggles from green, sprucey woody in the mids to more subtle marine/lake scent in the base. The more I wear it, the more I like it. You get Tom Ford's Oud Minerale in this but this is more like Kenzo Homme Marine's greener, rougher older brother who knows a few things because he's seen a few things. I really like it and have even refreshed it around 6pm with a bit of Kenzo Homme Marine and vise versa.

Think of Yves Saint Laurent's Y and Lalique's Encre Noire having a baby together. They would name it Wajood. It's an interesting blend of sweet, fresh, spicy, woody and incense aromas. It opens extremely clean and fresh, very reminiscent of the Montblanc legend lines before transitioning into spices, incense, oud and wood on the drydown. This is quite masculine. The oudy and woody drydown will be polarizing to some noses and this isn't good for women or younger male users. For those who can rock and love oud fragrances, though, this is a great change of pace from the usual and an amazing option thanks to the fresh opening. This is a good performer with a fair level of potency. Presentation is beautiful, the same as Nebras with a silver metallic shield on the front instead of gold. This is a niche quality fragrance for a discounter price and is a great value buy if you can wear it. Recommended, especially for oud lovers who are willing to try something different.

Right as you spray it, it smells like vinegar and very strong wood. After that, it starts smelling like sea water, salt, and spices, so it's not sweet at all. It is pretty linear as well, atleast on my skin. It resembled Tom Ford Oud Minerale, so if you were searching for a clone, you can consider it as one. Lasted about 9 hours, with a good projection for about an hour and a half, becoming an almost skin scent after 2 hours. Wouldn't work in too high temperature situations, but it would work in warmer spring and cooler summer nights. In terms of compliment factor, from the men, I heard "it's good", "elegant", "smells nice", and "okay, but I wouldn't wear it". The women told me it doesn't smell good, so I'm guessing you are mostly gonna attract males with this fragrance. I found the 100ml going for around €40, however I wanted to take my chances by buying a 20ml for €5 (atomizer tends to be quite okay on those testers not gonna lie). Test it before you buy it, because you may be extraordinarily dissapointed.

Just got this from Intense Oud off the TikTok shop ($8.54 for a 20mL sampler w/free shipping!!). It goes on woody and spicy and has a sharp funk to it almost like body odor -- but in a good way (similar to the opening of Majd al Sultan by Asdaaf but without the dusty wood drydown). This is a dark woody aquatic. Wajood rides that line of being fresh and woody, heavy and light, and with an earthy darkness -- all without coming off obnoxious. It does project well for a couple hours as it thins out. Longevity is a solid 6-8 hours for me. The aquatic top note is present for most the wear and seems to come thru during the dry-down about 30 mins in -- and although there is vetiver listed in the mid, it is not noticeable at all and overpowered by patchouli and sandalwood. This is a bold fragrance without being overbearing or cloying. Its dark, earthy, and with just enough freshness to make it suitable for any occasion.

This Fragrance may most probably need maceration, first few sprays smelled like Plastic fake wood with a Touch of sweet-spicy Pink pepper. After two months it has definetely changed, now it is very much like Akigalawood (most Dominant note) and linear with a Touch Pink pepper, vetiver and wood that has been in and out of the water. If i may put it in a very simplified way then i would say it smells like a screechy Rain Forest where the humidity makes it smell Sour-sweet (the sweetness is very minimal) in a screechy manner. Definetely not a safe blind buy, very unique and complex Oudy-Marine scent that will only appeal to people that like such fragrances. I have both Kenzo Homme Eau de Parfum and Tom Ford Oud Minerale 2023 and when I compare them both to Wajood the only similarity I find in the three of them are Marine Fragrances, but the way they were put together are completely different.

Some scents, like many things in life, are beautiful in their simplicity. Wajood is one of those things. The ocean notes make it a little more suitable for the warmer months in the year however I agree with another reviewer to say that it's definitely not suitable for a humid day. Imagine an 18th century sailing boat captain who, after bathing, walks out onto the deck of his new wooden boat as it sails on the middle of the sea. For me, it gives me the feeling of the best of all those elements. It projects like crazy. I didn't notice at first, but others around me did. My son said he noticed it before he walked on the room I was in, and my wife said she smelt it after I put it on, whilst she was having a shower with the ensuite door closed.. The extraction fan may have pulled some in, but still. Masculine and fresh but with a somewhat dark depth. My kind of fragrance.

This was touted as a good quality alternative for Oud Minerale (which I've never smelled). I tried a fragrance based on Noir Anthracite and loved it so I thought it would be nice to give this one a go for something different. It's different, alright. First spray and I get sea notes (heavy and salty like a stormy ocean) mixed with a spicy woodiness. The patchouli brings in an earthiness resulting in an aquatic that doesn't smell fresh. As it dries down, a slight hint of sweetness joins the salty, earthy and woody notes already present. I love it. My description might not be doing it justice but it reminds me of Kenzo Homme EDT Intense. I used it in summer heat and the performance was fantastic. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but if you aren't afraid of wandering off the mainstream fragrance path then I think you'll like this one.

Nose Note #594 Let's agree that this is not a Megamare clone. It's not trying to be. I haven't tried Kenzo, maybe it's that. Anyway, this is a marine scent that's very strong and not exactly a summer scent. It will work in the summer, but it's a "mood" scent. And the mood is very sad. It's a scent for an old castle on top of a rock that's being bashed with big waves. I can't help but feel at little bit uneasy wearing this. Not very challenging, just niche and moody. If you are looking for a marine scent in the direction of Megamare, but more tolerable, this is a good choice. This is more masculine though. The Ganymede comparison has a point. Ganymede can be seen in the distance lurking around that old castle on the rock. 7/10, cool, interesting, a lot of sad Encre Noire type vetiver

This is only my first wear, so I won't do a full review, but this strikes me as extremely similar to Kenzo Pour Homme Intense. I love KPHI, it's one of the few warmer weather fragrances that I absolutely adore: I have over 120 frags in my collection and it's mainly dominated by cold weather offerings. The opening of Wajood is lot spicier and almost animalic in comparison to the fig and melon opening of KPHI, by the dry down is very close. This is fantastic news for me as Wajood is cheap and easy to get a hold of and KPHI is not as widely available or popular where I live. I see this one being in heavy rotation come warmer months.

When I bought it, I wanted something that was inoffensive and different from the rest of my collection, specifically for those one-off situations. My most notable compliment was when I got into a taxi, and the driver immediately asked me what I was wearing. It projects well and draws some attention. I personally like the scent, which 100% reminds me of the beach, but it’s not my wife’s favorite, so I’d definitely recommend trying it before you buy. That said, I don’t regret my purchase at all.

I bought only 20ml from this juice to test it. It's fresh and musky on me, little bit sweet and (sweat and mouth's smell), maybe I can feel this cause of the sea notes, patchouli and vetiver. Smells similar to my PP Megamare dupe, but Wajood is not as sweet. The PP's Megamare on my skin is like burnt sugary. I think Wajood is more masculine but I really like it on me, so I'd to buy a full bottle. Great scent all year around if I want to feel a fresh but dense smell.

Bought this looking for a clone of Oud Minerale. Pretty nice straight out the box, definitely picking up the seaweed and smoky oud that you get with the og. Opens slightly more green/aromatic so it's not an exact 1:1 but at an eighth of the price it definitely scratches the itch. In the dry down it's almost indistinguishable. Longevity and performance are impressive as well

A high-quality copy and up to 99% similar to Kenzo Homme Intense, especially in the opening, which are completely similar. Very good smell distribution and durability Just like Kenzo Home Intense and with a price of about a third, it is really valuable If you like marine and green flavors, definitely try it

Wajood is a really unique scent! It's fresh and aquatic at first, thanks to the sea notes and pink pepper. Then it gets earthier with the vetiver and patchouli. The sandalwood and amber base makes it warm and inviting. Definitely unisex, I think anyone could rock this!

If you like aqua marine notes you should try this , has good sillage and projection. Lasting power too is on point. Pink pepper, vetiver, sea notes, and a nice amber, sandalwood base. Layer this with Bentley abosolute 👌

Affordable, long lasting dark marine scent that i find surprisingly wearable counter to nay-sayers. It recalls images of shipwrecks, pirates and all the good stuff.

Well worth it if you enjoy fragrances like Le Sel d’Issey, Megamare and Ganymede. Smells expensive and lasts forever. No need to overspray with this one.

Regarding this being similar to Oud Minerale, it has a similar vibe but they're miles away from each other, especially if you smell them side by side.

It's an interesting fragrance, but the synthetic rubber note, that I've felt in some "marine" perfumes ruins it for me.

As a fan of Quentin Bisch, I've sampled everything from Kenzo Pour Homme to Ganymede/Bois Imperial. This fragrance is a faithful representation of Bisch's beloved 'Akigalawood'. You get pink pepper, sandalwood, and vetiver right after the initial alcohol blast, with a lactonic middle and patchouli base - these are all different facets of the Akigala. There's also an unlisted but very present cedar in the drydown, creating a vibe like Mysore sandalwood, even though it isn't there. The aquatics are more of a 'nod' than a faithful recreation of Kenzo Pour Homme EDT Intense's aquatics. The Calypsone and other sea notes are not as well-blended or forward in Wajood. This Lattafa Pride fragrance is clearly aimed at the Middle-Eastern audience craving an 'aquatic-oud' scent like TF's Oud Minerale, something the clone houses haven't really replicated. Unlike Megamare's violent waves, this scent puts you under a dense rainforest canopy, a few clicks from the rising tide. My personal opinion? Lattafa nailed it. The 'Reminds Me Of' section tells the story disjointedly: this is Oud Minerale if Bisch (instead of Maisondieu) had made it with only Calypsone, Akigalawood, Cedarwood, and some other aroma chemicals. But, it feels like the Lattafa perfumer got a bit too excited at the prospect of raiding a room in Givaudan, and ended up using Akigalawood to chemical warfare levels in Wajood. And that's the worst part—after five months of trying to love it, I have to admit Wajood isn't a Spring/Summer fragrance and doesn't fit any unoccupied niche in my collection other than the sheer novelty of the fragrance. With Lattafa's Atlas, you can kinda pretend you're wearing a Summer fragrance as you choke out yourself and the people around you but not with Wajood. It's just nuclear Akigala—better for chilly, rainy Winter/Fall days. It doesn’t work well with humidity and feels odd on dry Winter days. If I test Wajood indoors and sniff too often, my throat starts to get scratchy. So, please don't blind buy Wajood. It's stubborn, linear, and doesn't care if you appreciate its nuclear-strength Givaudan-sourced roots for 16+ hours. The tide doesn't stop for anyone, and some driftwood just refuses to sink. Wajood just keeps going.

Got a 20ml sample to try this becuase I was very intrigued but skeptical; and I am thankful to myself for not pulling the trigger on a full purchase. I cannot really place this fragrance, I don't even know how to begin to describe it but the only thing that comes to my mind is a peculiar aroma from my childhood that can be best described or associated with something "religious" to put it crudely. It is offputting but kinda appealing at the same time, quite weird as it did grow on me given time, but my mind still finds it difficult to fully appreciate or enjoy wearing it. I do not get any marine notes from this, so make no mistake it is not fresh at all, and this is my primary negative in the entire scenario. Maybe some salty seaweed mixed with vetiver that gives it an earthy feel, like the muddy murky wasteland the ocean abandoned months ago, nothing refreshing. So if you plan to buy this expecting a marine/oceanic freshie (like me), please look elsewhere. Performance is beast mode for me, lasts 8-10h and sticks to clothes for days and projects hard for the initial 2-3 hours, can easily be oversprayed and it will definitely be cloying, so go easy on the trigger. Overall, I can't stress it enough to sample it first becuase this wacky is not everyones cup of tea. I wish it were what I expected it to be, but if this piques your nose, you are in for a treat!
