Yara Candy

Skip the first paragraph and jump to the review if you're not into personal stories I had banned myself from buying any new perfumes before finishing some of the ones I already have but I had to break this rule. we had to stay away from our house for a month and I only had two perfumes with me. the past couple of weeks were very stressful and dark days(I'm Iranian and my country was in war) and nothing can boost my mood like a new perfume. I wanted something cheap, simple and sweet so I asked my husband to buy me Yara. I meant the original Yara because I read it smells like strawberry milkshake which sounded delightful but he came back home with Yara Candy. I know I'm very late to the party because this is my first Lattafa perfume but I'm so impressed that from now on, I'm going to try every single Lattafa perfume I can. At first I was very disappointed to see Yara Candy instead of the popular, viral Yara. I'm a gourmand lover but I wasn't sure I'd like a strawberry fizzy candy type of gourmand. the first time I tried Yara Candy, it reminded me of strawberry hard candies and red lollipops. it was like strawberry candy+an intense dose of sugary sweetness+something sour,fruity and green. strawberry candy, black currant and green tangerine were the only notes I could detect so I found it a very fruity, tart and sweet, candylike perfume.mouth watering and delicious but almost linear, juvenile and not exciting. I can't believe how much it grew on me in a few days because right now I'm obsessed with it and unlike my first assumptions, now I can find layers and depth in it. It still opens with tart and sweet fruity candy scent. after a few minutes, the green sour fruity note fades away and it smells like really sweet strawberry candy for a while. the magic starts when it transforms from strawberry candy to strawberry milkshake! I know the original Yara is known as a strawberry milkshake scent not this one but 15 minutes after spraying, Yara Candy developes to a very realistic sweet strawberry smoothie. OMG it's so creamy and yummy. very sweet and gourmand but also airy and refreshing. I can't believe there's no lactonic notes listed here. I smell sweet whipped cream, strawberry and a touch of blackberry. some days I can detect some beautiful, creamy gardenia too. in this stage, it reminds me of Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy but like a much better, stronger, creamier SLC with added strawberry. as time passes, this berry milkshake scent lingers, while marshmallow and vanilla show up giving it a soft powdery,fluffy vibe. again I can't believe there's no marshmallow listed here. It smells like berry milkshake+ a touch of marshmallow for a couple of hours.after that it fades to a light musky, woodsy vanilla skinscent.no fruits are detectable in this late drydown stage and I was surprised to find out it really reminds me of the drydown of Black Opium Nuit Blanche but then I checked it's notes list and saw there's vanilla, sandalwood, musk and milk in BONB base notes so it makes sense. I absolutely adore Yara Candy and find it very addictive,delectable,playful and delightful. a very fun and happy perfume. It's very girly and youthful, fortunately I don't believe that sweet, girly perfumes just belong to teenagers so I happily wear it (I'm 35) my husband said it smells like strawberry ice cream and my mom commented you smell so good eventhough she's usually into clean,fresh citrus and floral fragrances and dislikes gourmands and sweet scents. Yara Candy stays around three hours on my skin but I don't mind it's poor longevity. I keep spraying and dousing myself in it during the day because I just can't get enough of it. it lasts around 7 hours on clothes but it smells a bit different and more simple on fabric, like strawberry gummy for 4 hours and reaches it's creamy phase after that (but not as creamy as on skin), I can't smell any blackberry when sprayed on clothes, just strawberry. I much prefer it on skin. it projects within arm length and leaves a yummy trail if oversprayed for an hour or two. I read maceration can improve Lattafa perfumes but honestly, I can't wait for it to macerate. I think it's worth the 30 dollars we paid for it. highly recommended if these words speak to you "sweet, strawberry, candy and creamy". Edit: good layering combos: Pink Sugar, Beyonce Heat Wild Orchid, Loewe Quizas Seduction, Burberry Her, AG Sweet Like Candy, Fantasy Rocker Femme, D&G Pour Femme شروعش ترش و شیرینه. یادآور آبنبات توت فرنگی. بعد از چند دقیقه، ترشی مربوط به انگورفرنگی و مرکبات محو میشه و رایحه کم کم خامه ای تر میشه. شبیه ترکیب خامه شیرین، توت فرنگی و یکمم شاتوت. تو این مرحله بشدت یادآور میلک شیک یا اسموتی توت فرنگیه. بعد از چند دقیقه در کنار رایحه میلک شیک توت فرنگی، سر و کله وانیل پودری و مارشمالو هم پیدا میشه. بعد از دو سه ساعت، فقط یه رایحه خیلی محو وانیلی-شیری با ته مایه های مشکی، چوبی رو پوست میمونه که شبیه درای داون عطر بلک اوپیوم نوت بلنش هست.. رو لباس، نسبت به پوست بوی ساده تری داره و تا چن ساعت، فقط بوی آبنبات توت فرنگی و پاستیل قرمز میده و تازه بعد از چهارساعت، خامه ای تر میشه یارا کندی تو نگاه اول، ساده ست اما خطی نیست. بشدت شیرین و خوشمزست اما درعین حال سبکی خامه ای-پودری قشنگی داره که برای تابستون مناسبش میکنه. موندگاریش رو پوست من نهایتا سه ساعت و رو لباس، هفت ساعته اما اگه زیاد اسپری کنید پخش بوی خوبی داره

Okay, let me just start by saying, I judged this perfume HARD before even spraying it. Yara Candy? Really? I was expecting something straight out of a tween's locker: sticky bubblegum, candy necklaces, and maybe a hint of glitter. But oh, was I wrong. From the first spritz, Yara Candy came swinging out of the gates like a diva ready to snatch wigs. This is not your juvenile sugar bomb. No, it’s a sophisticated, multifaceted blend that opens with a juicy green mandarin and blackcurrant combo that says, "Hi, I’m sweet, but also a little mysterious." Then it moves into a gardenia-strawberry fizz heart that smells like a fancy dessert you can’t afford at a Michelin-starred restaurant. And the vanilla syrup base? Pure magic - like a warm hug from a friend who always smells amazing. I genuinely do not understand the many bad reviews. Are we smelling the same perfume? Are they allergic to joy? This is one of those scents that’s almost impossible not to love unless you actively dislike happiness, good vibes, and smelling like a dream. And the price is of course dreamy, especially if you, like me, waited a bit for the hype to die down.

On my skin it opens up sweet, like a fizzy citrus-y strawberry gummy candy. Dry down to me is very aromatic/animalic, almost masculine leaning which I love. To me it smelled very similar to summer forever as it started drying down, but once it completely dried down the difference was polarizing. Summer Forever has that "car scent diffuser that's been left in the sun for too long" property that I know comes from the patchouli, which tends to react that way on my skin with certain perfumes. As for Yara Candy, I've been told that it's too sweet for the colder months approaching but I still thought I'd give it a try to see if it might be a worth it purchase for next summer, only to be surprised that on my skin especially, I think it would definitely be worth a purchase right this moment even! I'm currently looking for a signature scent, and Yara Candy made it to the list just based on the notes provided, but I think now it's high up along with Fakhar Lattafa Extrait.

can’t believe i waited so long to try this. i was scared to blind buy, so i waited almost 2 years to try, but wow do i love it. it’s fruity, juicy, sweet, and surprisingly warm. it definitely smells like real candy, like chewing on nerds gummy clusters or sour jolly rancher gummies; you can almost smell the sugar/citric acid along with the strawberry. and the juiciness from the real fruit in the opening, prevents it from turning plasticky. its almost mouthwatering. i don’t smell the vanilla enough to point it out, but the combination of vanilla and amber adds a sensual intrigue and warmth that makes this wearable for any age. the very first day i wore it my friend said i smelt so good and i kept getting whiffs of myself throughout the entire day. it smells great from the first spray, and i really love the dry down on my skin. overall, this was way better than expected, and exactly what i wanted it to be! my worries of being disappointed were totally unnecessary

I’d definitely put fruity before vanilla in the description of this fragrance. Such a juicy, non-descriptive red fruit smell. Amazing projection and longevity. I was told I smell like a strawberry shortcake doll with this on, and I can definitely see that. The dolls are more fruity smelling than powdery, and that’s why I think this is an accurate comparison. It can be a bit cloying, and it smells similar to B&BW’s Dream Bright. It also reminds me a little of VLJ’s Le Bubbly because it does have a sort of fizzy nature. - Juicy red berries - Gummy candy - Shampoo - Scented doll All of those combined into one. Again, super impressive longevity and sillage. As I wear this more, it has some texture that’s reminiscent of a hi-chew or laffy taffy that coats your mouth in a sort of film. I quite like it. It’s a very chewy gummy smell.

This is a love! Be careful with spraying too much on the upper part of your body as this can become cloying. One spray on your wrists and then spray on your legs and clothing. Everywhere you go you'll leave a trail and you'll smell the perfume (which is addictive) but won't be overwhelmed by it. This is cotton candy at the fair. It's addictive because it doesn't make you sick like some cotton candy smells, due to the strawberry and vanilla that softens it. In the dry down it sits really cozy and it's a nice perfume to wear at home on a cold day. I think you could easily layer this with the right floral perfume as well. It's not a complex perfume. It's an easy reach that is pretty. The price is well worth it. Longevity I would say is 5 hours on clothes and about 3 hours on skin.

I love this fragrance. This is a photorealistic strawberry sour candy scent, and everything I wanted. For a perfume that is very girly and sweet in nature, I find it extremely smooth and well blended. The blackcurrant and strawberry fizz candy note are most prominent, with green tangerine lending itself to the tart, fizzy aspect. I don’t detect hardly any woods, but the vanilla and amber hold the fragrance together and are the defining factors that make this NOT childish or too youthful. This is perfect for warm days during spring and summer, and in my opinion, is best for daytime wear. The longevity and sillage are moderate, but this is not a negative for me as I would not be able to wear this if it were beast mode. I’m very pleasantly surprised - give this one a try.

I put it up against Kayali Sparkling Litchi, Kayali Eden Apple, and Kayali Vanilla Rock Candy Sugar on skin. Yara Candy faded quickly. VRC is lasting the longest with a beautiful dry down. Lots of wafts as I’m typing away. Litchi and Apple were in the middle, moderately lasting and the Yara has disappeared completely by now. The Yara Candy has such a playfulness to it. It stays fruity throughout the endurance of the dry down which surprised me. It’s hard to keep those fruity notes going. This lasted about 2 hours on me. This is: a happy scent. Something for going to run errands and feeling uplifted by the wafts you get from it. A youthful juicy fragrance, even though it’s only here for a short time. Blind buy safe.

I absolutely love this perfume and I think it’s similar to Burberry her elixir but not identical. I love how this perfume has a vibrant scent. The fruity and vanilla really blends well and it’s not over powering like other fruity perfumes. I usually don’t like vanilla perfumes because there so pungent and thick smelling but this perfume really combines vanilla, fruity and light floral together to make a very nice light and sweet refreshing scents. Some people say that this perfume smells like strawberry but I get more of a blackberry and raspberry scent and I don’t smell powder at all from this scent. This scent is definitely long lasting, I can still smell it after waking up in the morning.

I bought this along with the classic Yara perfume, not expecting much, but to my surprise, i ended up liking this one much more. It's the sort of scent that brings a mood boost when you spray it on. It's a bright, happy and sweet gourmand scent, fitting perfectly for the summer and lasting quite well on my skin. It starts off smelling exactly like sour strawbery candy, then after an hour it becomes just a sweet, delicious strawberry candy scent with the smooth warmth of vanilla coming through. To me it gives a similar feeling as kayali sparkling lychee, but with a more gourmand base than fruity - which i actually like more. I will definetely be wearing this throughout the summer!

I love the original Yara fragrance so I was excited to try this Yara Candy and it did not disappoint, like the original Yara, Yara Candy is also a very strong sweet fragrance with vanilla note, but Yara Candy is more sugary sweet due to the candy note. I don't know which one I like more, they're both very nice fragrances. The only downside to these Yara fragrances is that neither of them lasts very long on my skin. While they both smell very nice on my skin, but they only last a few hours on my skin, so the longevity on my skin is not very good. So I'm a bit disappointed with the longevity of these fragrances, but I still love the smell of them.

I own all of the other Yaras but waited for the hype to calm down before purchasing. Summer's almost here and I've been on a fruity kick, strawberry to be exact. First spray, Yara Candy fits the bill. It has the strawberry note that I wanted because as a gourmand lover, I don't have anything quite like this in my collection. I don't get much depth from this as the Musk, Amber and Sandalwood isn't present yet but I can find something to layer it with but hey, it's about to be summer and I don't mind being one note for now. If the Musk, Amber and Sandalwood develops in a few weeks, I will update my review. For now, I am happy.

(Male/23) Honestly comments caught me off guard since several mention that this smells extremely sweet and nauseating which for me is not the case and I'm really picky with gourmand scents. I gave this as a gift to a close aunt and she loves it, and my brother and I do as well whenever we greet her. The gummies' accord makes this from becoming to sweet since it gives it a fruity note and tones down the vanilla. Yara imo works well for Spring and maybe the not so hot Summer days. I wouldn't wear it but because I don't like wearing femenine scents, but I definetely look forward to trying out the other Yaras.

Candy - delicious strawberry Candy. Makes me smile. Youthful, uncomplicated and not difficult to enjoy. It gets a little more musky in the drydown, so the playfulness gets tamed a bit, and you will just smell delicious - not specifically girlish (nothing wrong with that, though) 🍓🩷❤️🩷🍓 Update: Yara Candy might be somewhat juvenile, I have to admit, but since I don't claim to be all grown up through and through no matter my age, I can still enjoy the uncomplicated berry sweetness of this one, and I wear scents for me. I really, really! like it so much, I have ordered the perfume oil version as well ❤️

I love the oil - I hate the spray (so I might had a fake spray). Review for the spray: Animalic Strawberry shisha 😅🍓 Sweet, girly, flirty. Nice for summer nights, esp. at this price. The drydown is a heavy animalic musk leaning masculine. I will not re-purchase it. Edit next day: Oh no! To the bin. This musc is unbearable, stinks! Where is the soft vanilla drydown everyone is talking about? (My experience was positive with the oil, though. I only get the good notes, without that stinky musc. Still animalic, but sexy.) So...maybe I've got a bad bottle last time? I'll try another one in the future.

I smelled this on a cashier at my grocery store and was drooling. It smells juicy, sweet, fruity and super flirty. I smell candied strawberry-grape pencil shavings. I can see how it can come off a bit juvenile in the beginning but it has layers and depth. Younger me would have lost her shit over how good this would have been in the late 90s and early 00s. Yet a mature side peeks out in all of that and find this not only enjoyable but wearable. I really love it and I really love its price tag! Out of my small collection of middle eastern fragrances this is in the top five for sure!

This is a masterpiece in disguise of a youthful and easygoing fragrance. Lattafa told that they have used in this an ingredient that is called "citrus heart" or something similar, that is supposed to mean that the citric notes last longer than just in the opening. That is true, in my skin the sweet, green mandarin note lasts well beyond 3 hours. Mine needed some maceration, but after that, yara candy projects well for some hours before settling a closer to skin, and is truly a fun, sweet and happy fragrance that I always reach for whenever I need some mood boost to my day!

I actually went to the launch party in nyc! I'm gonna be 1000 percent honest I love it however many on line for the event got off line after they went around and sprayed samples for the folks waiting to get in. What I love about it is it smells exactly like watermelon sour patch kids and strawberries! However many were disappointed about how juvenile it smelled. I think it's fun, has a fantastic life on me and lasted me all day and is just a nice new addtion to my collection. If you want somthing to compare it to is the watermelon candy from oakcha is really close.

This is the only yara that I am obsessed with. I had the original pink yara and yara moi and I sold them both. Yara candy is such a playful sweet strawberry candy scent. It smells like a clean girly girl fragrance. Super feminine. It’s not very long lasting but I don’t mind that for warm spring days when I’m running errands or going out for a short period of time🩷 I’m not saying it smells like it or it’s a dupe, but it has the same yummy gummy candy quality of kayali’s eden sparkling lychee. If Eden is lychee gummy bears, yara candy is strawberry gummy rings. 🍓🍬

There is a Dove body scrub that's called "crushed cherries and chia milk" - this smells IDENTICAL. The "strawberry fizz candy" is what I smell the most in opening which reminds me of that Dove body scrub. I like this, it's playful and fun, and cheap enough you can spray the hell out of it, and reapply, because as nice as it is, it's weak. But - very cute and playful! Smells like the freshest candies and has a great gardenia and vanilla body/dry down. If you find something, for $20 or less it's a no-brainer pick up - anything over $20 it's not worth it at all.

When I first opened this I was hit with a smell of what I can only describe as hairspray and I was SO disappointed after all the good reviews however I was told by loads of people on Facebook to spray it and let the bottle sit for a while. I’ve now had it about a month and it smells Devine, like vanilla strawberry rock candy. It’s very fun and flirty and my partner always compliments me when I’m wearing this one. It’s become of of my favourites. It’s just a shame about the bottle not looking so nice.

This one is a zinger!!! This reminds me of what Sour Punch's Strawberry Straws would smell like. It brings to mind the tart powder found on candy strings. In this strawberry candy - a hint of watermelon is detected too. When I wear this, overall it reminds me of tangy strawberry candy drizzled with simple syrup. Smells amazing! This is a good scent to where when you're looking for something simple but not overwhelming to the senses. I don't wear Yara Candy often but when I do, I really enjoy it.

This is such a fun scent. There is nothing serious about it and it might be even be a little too young for some. Personally, I don’t care about that. It smells great, I’m wearing it. Definitely a super sweet strawberry candy. You gotta like SWEET scent to get down with this. Easy blind buy for those who like a sweet gourmand. And, it’s cheap so probably not a big deal if you don’t like it. You could easily pass it on to someone who’ll love it. It’s popular for a reason. Crowd pleaser.

the perfect candy gourmand for summer very realistic strawberry fizzy candy scent with a smidge of tartness to keep it fresh totally agree with the review below that it gives the same energy as kayali sparkling lychee, just replace the lychee with strawberry. fresh and sweet. if you’re looking for a mature scent, this isn’t it, but this would go well with lychee, cotton candy, vanilla, mango, fresh/summer/even aquatic scents. it’s an easy reach if you like to smell like candy 🩷

As a sweet candy fanatic and lover of all things strawberry (and apparent 5 year old according to the reviewer above), this is literally perfect. The embodiment of pink starbursts.. Nothing else to say except I’m obsessed 💗🍬 Edit: just wanted to give an update.. I am just utterly infatuated and obsessed. It is completely mesmerizing to me.. the only perfume I have thought about since I got it.. I haven’t even been reaching for anything else like it’s just perfect for me <3

I LOVE this.The initial spray smells very unique to me.I usually don’t like sweet scents but this is an exception.It doesn’t have a hint of alcoholic smell most perfumes have.This is straight up sour gummies with sugar sprinkled, and the drydown reminds me of a freshly sliced watermelon with a creamy gourmand note.Pretty similar to Burberry Her but softer,creamier and blends well! The only problem is the lasting power as it only lasts around 3-4 hours on me.

This is what I wanted Prada Candy to smell like when I ran to the department store to sample it upon its release. It disappointed. The caramel note in Prada Candy ruined it. Yara Candy is exactly what you see is what you get! I normally hate fruity scents. But this, the perfect juicy candy scent. It's sexy, fun, not over cloying at all. A candy gourmand dream. The fragrance does evolve after drydown to a deeper more vanilla scent.

I adore sweet fragrances, and Yara Candy hits all the right notes for me. It’s got this irresistible strawberry candy sweetness wrapped in a soft, sexy warmth that keeps me sniffing my wrist all day. Call it youthful if you want, I think it’s flirty, fun, and insanely addictive. I’m obsessed, and my husband loves this one too! If you like sweet candy like scents buy this! I’m going to wear it often. Might need a backup bottle.

I don't understand why people talk bad about it. It's so feminine and pretty, not too sweet, and a really clean smell tbh. It smells like freshly washed hair, strawberries, gardenia and happiness. It's nice to layer it with other perfumes to make them more girly, and prevent Yara Candy from being too one note. I really love it. I smell the bottle like a crackhead every time I want to brighten my day 🍓☀️

Candy-like strawberry and fruit. Yummy and playful. Good performance. Simple, sweet, fun. Sometimes you just want something playful and easy - this is that one. Nothing "challenging" or "sophisticated" - don't over think it. If you like fruity and sweet, you will reach for this again and again. Crowdpleaser for a reason. Well done for what it is - doesn't try to be something that it's not.

as a big fan of childish and/or fruity gourmands , I LOVE THIS ! ! ! i'm not very good at detecting individual scent notes but all around it's a yummy friendly outgoing strawberry scent . i do get a bit of a migraine if i smell it for too long, but that's just me so i won't take any points off for that . very reminiscent of body sprays from pink in the 2010's which is something i adore .

I’m so pleased with this fragrance! I was debating between getting this and the original Yara, but I’m glad I settled on Candy. I receive nothing but compliments wearing this— I love how girly and feminine it is. The strawberry fizz note pulls pretty strongly on my skin, which I enjoy. YC is a good buy if you enjoy sweet and fruity fragrances. It lasts about six hours on my skin.

Genuinely INSANE to me how there are no chocolate notes in this, but both my boyfriend and I caught that? I returned to sniff this again another day with a friend, but she agrees with the majority on the blackcurrant scent. Damn... guess somehow this feels chocolate-esque to me? Regardless, what a yummy perfume and LOVE the shade of the bottle! Will deffo be purchasing soon...

This fragrance ended up becoming one of my favourite daytime playful smells to wear. When I first got it I was so disappointed because it smelled like straight up hairspray but after a few weeks of letting it sit it became this beautiful creamy yet fizzy strawberry scent. I love by the sea in the UK and it reminds me of rock candy you got from the beach.

To me, this perfume smells like fruity jelly candies. But it's not for everyone, if you don't like very sweet scents, it's not for you. Extremely suitable for late spring and summer, on me it lasts about 5-6 hours. The funny thing is that I first got a mold to test it, but I broke it, at home it smelled like this scent for maybe 4-5 days.

This is so good ! Fruity gourmand. I almost smell coconut milk ,which is probably the gardenia . Like a strawberry coconut milk drink or smoothie. Reminds me of strawberry snowflakes, jean marc Paris sexy vanilla, or could be a juicy couture flanker. Very strong with one spray! Way better than original in my opinion. Good for all seasons.

I really like this stuff, its a delicious waxy strawberry candy. I can barely detect some different fruits in the opening which lends a really nice background. It doesn't last long, but the light and airy scent profile responsible is part of what makes it so nice. I would spray this on clothes to help longevity

I really love my bottle and have been using it this summer. I've only let it sit for 2 weeks but it is already smelling 5 times better than the first spray. It's a beautiful sweet strawberry milkshake scent which I love for warm days. It's not too overwhelming or sickly sweet. One of my faves for summer.

I love it! This lasts forever in hot spots. I use it for every occasion, feels kinda warm on me. Dries beautifully. If you know Palitos de la Selva (argentinian chewy yogurt flavoured candy) Yara Candy smells EXACTLY like that when you let it sit for a while. One of my favs ever.

A sister to Marshmallow Blush, except this one is straight up hard candy, yummy, sparkling, while Marhmallow Blush is creamier, fluffy, well, strawberry marshmallow. Both are cute. Not sure about longevity yet, but it's sure gonna make you smell like festivals and wonder.

love love LOVEE this perfume, its not the most mature but when your wanting to smell like pink fizzy candy maturity isnt going to be expected i love how utterly sweet and gourmand this is it makes me so happy, so pleasant to the nose and so girly and feminine!!

So sweet! So so so candy sweet! This is what strawberry sour patch kids would smell like in perfume form, it’s also floral? Really weird but it surprisingly works! It’s strong as shit and gets me a ton of compliments! 9/10

Smells like sweet green sour fizzy gummy bears that turns to a powdery green powerhouse in the dry down with hints of something coconuty. I find the colour of the bottle extremely misleading.

Basically if you want to smell like red fruit gummy bears, this is the fragrance to go! After sitting for a couple of months the performance gets better, especially on clothes.

i don't smell strawberry i smell fizzy WATERMELON candy. it's definitely juvenile but don't let that stop any of you from getting it. i need this in my collection 😍

Glad that I listened the rewiew of Redolaissa nce.It is indeed youthful fruity long lasting and pleasant.The best of the Yaras and I own them all.
