Yara

I can understand why some people don't like this fragrance. When I first got it, it was poorly blended, synthetic smelling, and didn't last longer than an hour, even on clothes. I didn't get the Strawberry Milkshake scent that other people were describing. Honestly, it just smelled cheap. I left it to sit on my shelf, checking back occasionally to see if it had gotten any better and then, boom, after over a year of sitting it finally smelled like something I could enjoy wearing. I still don't get the strawberry milkshake that people were talking about, but I do get a soft, sweet, lightly powdery bubblegum fragrance. The longevity has also improved substantially. I sprayed it on my sweatshirt last night before I went to bed then put the same sweatshirt back on this morning and I am still catching whiffs of it every time I turn. Even my husband commented on how good it smelled. He was shocked when I told him it was Yara Pink and that I had sprayed it last night. Now, admittedly, waiting over a year for a perfume to mature is not ideal, but if you're like me and you have a collection, I would just recommend leaving her alone for a while and checking back every now and again. Eventually, she will meld into something quite nice and wearable with a decent silage and longevity. If you're impatient and powdery, bubblegummy scents aren't for you, then I would just skip this one altogether. Overall, I think with time, this is a lovely daily wear perfume and is especially nice as a bedtime fragrance.

Perfume leaves such an impression on people, on the wearer's personality, I'm sure rather subconsciously for those who aren't as enthusiastically invested in perfumery. I like to use some of my scents to guide my encounters, besides matching my feeling of the day of course. I love Yara and wear it for every exam I take. My university exams are like a verbal interrogation, so I am face-to-face with my professors at close range. I genuinely believe it softens the other person's perception of me, like my professors go easier on me or something. It radiates beautifully, it surrounds me as my introduction and enwraps the other person in my comfort bubble. It's sweet and pink, so it leaves the impression of a sweet, feminine girl. It's calm and put together like an inherent, almost goody-two-shoes way. At the same time it's light enough to allow conversation, a smile, even some laughter. I like to literally "assert" my knowledge in a way that is easy to accept. I feel that if I were to wear a more assertively confident perfume I could have been trapped in some trick questions, you know, in a "since you know everything" sort of tone, instead with Yara it just follows to prove that I have studied. I just tried the dark pink Yara and I am sure I'll add it to my collection as well, I swear people's reactions to you change under the influence of some scents. I love the Yara line for that reason. They work on people!

Strawberry? Marshmallow? Milkshake? Where are you?! I bought into the hype after this kept coming up in my Facebook Fragrance group. I read all the reviews on here and got sucked in. Curiosity got my coins. Well let me tell you I don't detect anything gourmand in this fragrance. It smells like generic hand lotion. So if that's what people are calling "creamy" then there it is there. This isn't the kind of sweet, lactonic, "creamy" scent that people hype it up to be. I'm still waiting to find those gourmand accords and "delicious" vanilla.... Feel like I'm going to be waiting for a very long time. I think sometimes people see the color of a bottle or juice and make these assumptions that the fragrance smells like something it doesn't. Case in point this fragrance has a creamy pink container so people say it smells like a strawberry milkshake. Not. At. All. ***UPDATE: I let this sit for a few weeks and I can't believe it but it got so much better. Still don't get strawberries but it is creamy, tropical, and fluffy. I definitely am enjoying it as a bedtime scent. Glad to have it in my collection.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. For the price, around 29 euros, you really do not expect much. But this one completely exceeded my expectations for an affordable perfume. At first, I did notice a slightly synthetic edge, and the longevity was not impressive. However, I have come to realize that many Arab perfumes need time to mature. Once you let it age, it truly reaches its full potential. And honestly, it smells nothing like a 30-euro perfume. It is sweet, but also floral, gourmand, and powdery all at once. I love wearing it when I am in a romantic mood. If you can look past the bottle design, this is easily my second favorite perfume of all time. It combines everything I love in a scent. The longevity is also excellent after aging. Is there still a slight synthetic touch? Yes, but at this price point, it is hard to complain. And in any case, that synthetic note fades quite quickly.

This perfume is beautifully constructed. I'm currently on my second bottle of it. It's very sweet with the gourmand notes and tropical fruits but you don't really smell any florals even though there's top nots of orchid and heliotrope. I would describe this scent as a sweet vanilla strawberry. The vanilla and the musk makes it smell very creamy even though there's no cream note and a bit powdery but not in an old lady way, in a very girly way and the sandalwood gives it a woody undertone that adds an additional layer to the fragrance. It smells like what you would imagine a sweet strawberry and vanilla yogurt. This could definitely be a signature scent for a girl in her teens or 20s who wants a perfume that smells very girly, but isn't immature smelling or generic smelling. I think this is an amazing perfume. You can't go wrong with this if you enjoy sweet, girly scents.

This is a comforting scent to me - not a typical gourmand like I would expect, but I suppose strawberry milkshake would be a good likeness. When I smell it, I get more summer, beachy, sunscreen-almost vibes as it reminds me of a warm day spent on a beach towel on the hot sand. I wear it in any season, and find it appropriate for all 4 seasons daytime or before bed. This isn't something I'd wear on a date night, but for cozying up watching movies at home or just wanting to feel comforted during a rainy day indoors, yes! It is one of my absolute favs. Not cloying, not synthetic, excellent longevity, moderate-strong projection. I will always have a bottle of this in my wardrobe.

I have two bottles of this , one that I got from fragantica and smelled like powdery strawberry milkshake, sweet and delicious. A few week later I found a bottle at Marshall’s so I got it as a backup and I left it in my car for touch ups . I sprayed it on for the first time today and this one is very different , it has some of the DNA of my first bottle but this is sexy woody vanilla . I had to double check the bottle to see if this one wasn’t something different . Then I came to the reviews and the last person also described yara as woody vanilla . I guess this perfume changes over time ! Now it make sense why a lot of people are not getting the strawberry vibe from it

I am so confused on this. I got to sprey it from a friend’s bottle about a month ago, and it was heavenly so youthful and sweet that I could bathe in it. I knew I had to get it so I ordered a smaller 50ml bottle from where I usually order but what came was nothing like I remembered. My bottle was a big dissapointment, not sweet, not energetic, just light but soapy and synthetic generic grocery store flower perfume smell. I wish to believe that my friend’s perfume was the right one and I got a bad patch or something bc her’s matches the notes and descriptions so well.

I'm not sure I understand the hype on this one or why anyone would describe it as a strawberry scent (maybe they were confusing it for Yara Candy? 🤨) On me, it is extremely weak and doesn't last more than a body spray would. On my clothes and hair, it has slightly better lasting power but it is still definitely a "skin" scent type fragrance in that case. It mostly translates to an ever so slightly floral, very powdery fragrance to my nose. Nothing particularly mind blowing and definitely far removed from my preferences.

Here to give Yara some serious love. I've just been gifted this. It is so far from what I would choose for myself but I think it is feminine tropical summer in a bottle. I don't care much for the first sweet synthetic spritz, but after 10minutes I get a clean, fruity, slightly creamy 'just out of the shower' scent that is addictive. I like a big perfume in the colder months but this is a dreamy day-to-day summer perfume amd it makes me feel beautiful.

I honestly didn't expect to like this fragrance as much as I did. I originally bought it as a gift for one of my female family members It's incredibly easy to wear. The sweetness is rich and delicious without becoming overwhelming, giving it a truly edible, dessert-like quality. there's none of that harsh, synthetic sweetness that some gourmand fragrances suffer from. The longevity is excellent, and as it develops it becomes even more warm, seductive.

As cheap as yara is, I was hesitant to get it. I wasn't have good luck with the hyped Arabic fragrances they are beautiful but some were just not for me. Yara definitely is! It's very gourmand and so pretty ...a delicious creamy berry and citrus confection...but the dry down is vanilla and musky on me and my favorite part! Smells so amazing. I brought a back up immediately. Finally a hyped fragrances that wasn't a empty promise for me.

This was a blind buy, and I'm delighted. Overall, I get sweet and powder, plus the nostalgic plastic smell of scented erasers from the 80's. It settles into a smooth, pleasant vanilla musk. I don't have this combination in any other thing that I own. It's like the prettiest, nicest, babysitter on her day off. If you like the smell of the Sanrio store, but want to smell like a person instead of a toystore - this is the way.

I've loved her since the day we met. lol. Literally it was love at first sniff. She's reliable, just the right amount of sweet, floral, and fruity...feminine, soft. Not offensive, a safe blind buy IMO. Wish it lasted longer but I just got the roll on! The perfect floral fruity gourmand. She does no wrong in my eyes. lol. I'll sing her praises til I die. Literally so damn good. Was my signature scent for almost a year.

Es dulcesito pero no me empalaga demasiado, lo siento bastante versátil como para usar casi a diario, hasta me dieron ganas de probar el elixir cuando se me termine este. Me compré un aromatizante de ropa y ambientes que huele bastante similar para combinarlo jjajaj

such a pretty perfume, perfect balance of floral, sweetness, fruity and vanilla creaminess. the only thing is that the sillage and longevity really varies with the different bottles/packaging? the smaller glass bottle is perfect, good lasting power and decent sillage while the pink plastic bottle (the regular packaging) smells so chemical and doesn't last as long. otherwise its a gorgeous perfume.

I'm confused on whether I got a fake. On my 2nd bottle atm, got it off Amazon and it smells completely different than my last bottle. It used to smell much stronger and sweeter and so heavenly but the bottle I have smells like sanitary wipes and just so... faint? and very watered down. I'm disappointed. Maybe it needs time to 'sit' but I've had it for a while now :/

I don't care how many people hates on this, they'll never change my mind. This scent is the color pink mixed with a thick white cream. It's sweet, uplifting, fun and creamy. If barbie had a perfume this would be it. I will never be without this one. It's such an addictive and unique scent. I absolutely love it 💖

I hated this perfume at first and now I love it lol. I was expecting it to be sweeter but months later I realized it’s the perfect sweet. Very tropical fruity and pink-ish. Feminine. This made me realize I was more into fruity sweet scents than gourmand sweet scents. Can use it everyday. I would buy it again.

This is the type of scent that you wear at night, it smells so delicious and creamy! The only issue I have with it is that it does not project that much and the longevity is soooo little. It's good if you're wearing it for a quick "pick-me-up" but don't expect for it to last 8 hours on skin 😩.

got the smaller size of this bc the bottle is much prettier, but 100% needs to sit for a while. The tester and the bottle i purchased were 2 different fragrances however i kind of expected this as its common with Arab perfumes. Matured sent is very powdery and soft with gentle vanilla vibes

I love Yara. It's sweet yet fresh and fruity. It reminds me of something a celebrity in the early 2000s would have farted out. I am a sucker for those types of scents being an elder millennial. I know this is a no-no, but I love it so much I wore it to surgery and no one complained.

at first I didn’t like this. It was a scent that was too sweet for me but as the weather got warmer this became my favourite. I took it with me on vacation best decision I made not many people say this but this is a vacation summer scent loved it.

This smells like fruity and floral baby powder, think pink fluffy baby powder. Which I don't mind, but it's incredibly light. Will give mine some time to macerate and revisit. Probably is well tolerated by others because it's not super noticeable.

I love Yara and tend to layer it with my other more expensive fragrances to create my own unique scent profile. It’s a great, long-lasting, affordable and yummy base scent to wear that gets me compliments no matter where I go.

This is my perfect everyday perfume. Non offensive, suitable at work environment. It creates this beautiful, soft scent bubble. Still, my favourite from Yara line and from all middle eastern perfumes ive tested so far!

I got this as a gift, and loved it! It is very sweet, vanillery and powdery scent. Like others would say, a marshmallow delight! If you like sweet scents, you will love this! It is definitely more for summer though!

I was given this as a gift from a friend (even though I’m a guy). Definitely feminine, smells like a powdery yoghurt to me. Ok sillage and longevity. I like it on women but hard for me to wear as a guy

Girly, yummy, addictive scent <3 last a long time for me, def worth the price. Although I have designer perfumes and some niche, I reach for this one a lot! It’s genuinely beautiful.

I bought the Lattafa Yara perfume oil concentrate from a discount store, and a few weeks later received an incorrect shipment with Yara roller ball from Lattafa's sister brand Ard Al Zaafaran. At first I thought I having both would be redundant. After comparing side by side I can see how reviews for the "same" scent could be so different! The Lattafa oil concentrate smells sweet and creamy. I do get the slightest hint of a strawberry milkshake, emphasis on the "milk" over strawberry. It reminds me of Sweet Like Candy when applied straight to my skin. A little bit mixed with lotion brings back memories of the old school Bath & Body Works scents Secret Wonderland and Be Enchanted. It is truly a girly pastel pink scent, basic in that it's straightforward and uncomplicated. I haven't tried the spray version, but I could totally see this being the feminine equivalent of Axe if oversprayed iykyk. It's nothing special but I do like the oil overall since the sillage is inoffensive and lasts a decent amount of time. It's a pleasant wear for running errands or a cozy weekend at home. The Ard Al Zaafaran roller is a totally different scent and should really have a separate page on Fragrantica. It's a generic powder and floral perfumey smell, no creaminess or fruitiness anywhere. The differences are even more glaring when compared side by side. The sillage is so intimate that I can barely smell anything without pressing my nose against my skin. It's not *bad* but it's not quite good either. It's giving complimentary toiletries from a high end hotel. I would've written Yara off if I smelled this version first.

I think I didn't understand the love and devotion around perfumes until I got this one. I always bought super cheap drugstore perfumes because I thought they were all the same. 😭 Then an adamant seller sprayed this on my wrist and coat to try it out - and I could still smell it 6-7 hours later on my coat. I was very pleasantly surprised by the scent and the longevity. I can definitely say this is what got me into perfumes. The smell is vanilla and powder to me but mostly powdery - the vanilla acts as a dissector so it doesn't smell like a powdery grandma perfume. It's almost like a really nice clean sheets scent, in a super girly all white and pink room. I was in love with it when I first got it, but it gets really boring quickly. I would say this is a safe bet, something you go for once a while but it wouldn't be a first pick on any given day. However, I have two friends that fell in love with the perfume after smelling it on me - and one of them used up the whole 100 ml bottle in two months. The performance is linear - so what you get in the first spray you also get in the dry down. The performance is not as good as the tester bottle though. Lasts about 3, at best 4 hours of which 2-3 hours are really intimate on the skin. I would say this is a safe bet if you like super girly and clean scents but it's definitely not an exciting perfume. It's a very down to earth simple scent.

This was a gift for me from my aunt, so I hadn't smelled it before or tested it on my skin. I love this so much in the bottle and all, it smells so nice and delicious, but on my skin it smells like sunscreen or hand cream, and it is pretty oily when sprayed on my skin (not sure if that's normal for Lattafa perfumes as I'm new to liking perfumes an learning about them, or if that's just skin chemistry), but even through that I do kind of still smell some delicious notes in there. I still spray it on my clothes so it doesn't get as much of that sunscreen-hand cream smell, so I do still like it. Sometimes I will just take off the cap and smell it, just because I love the scent. As for longevity, for me it lasts about 4h, and then it's more of a skin scent, but it might be my nose getting used to the perfume. To me personally, I feel like it's possible to wear it all year round, both on days and nights, but I think not everyone will agree. I would recommend it, just maybe not as a gift for someone if they have never tested it on their skin, you never know with skin chemistry. And if you're a guy who likes to wear delicious smelling perfumes, I'd say you could try it in a store and see what skin chemistry does for you. I can imagine a guy wearing this if he wants to wear it, not gonna lie. :) Overall, I would give it a 9/10. It's good!

I am not particularly familiar with the world of Arab fragrances, only having heard words like "beast mode" and "strong" associated with them. I was on holidays with my family and saw a travel size of this on the dining table next to my cousin's bag. I tried it. It's nice and not as overpowering as I thought. Perhaps it might be because the travel size came as a dabber instead of a spray bottle. Smells like a good balance between floral, fruity and vanilla notes. Longevity is pretty decent at around 4-5hrs. Sillage, can't tell because I dabbed the perfume on my wrists and neck instead of spraying. But despite only these 4 dabs altogether (which I feel isn't too much), I could still smell it on myself from time to time for a few hours. Make of that what you will. My cousin offered to give me this bottle as she said she had another one and despite this exceeding my expectations, I do already have a collection of other fragrances at home that I need to use up and this perhaps just didn't wow me. It would end up gathering dust at home. Needless to say, I would still consider it blind buy safe and easy to gift to anybody who is generally into perfumes.

OHHHHHHHHHHH okay maybe maceration does matter. I bought a rollerball a couple years ago, tested it and tossed it in a drawer because I wasn’t really impressed. I completely forgot I had it and bought a bottle a few months ago. it’s already been declutterred because again, I wasn’t impressed. it gave linear body spray to me. a generic, borderline synthetic fruity scent. fast forward to a couple days ago, when I found the rollerball hiding in the back of a drawer. I am shook lol it’s BEAUTIFUL. sweet with a muskiness and some beautiful depth from the base notes. BRAVO!!! I am wearing today and I feel so girly, but no longer juvenile after the oils had time to macerate. highly recommend testing again if you have given up on her once. not my typical scent profile as there is a lot of fruit but alas, she gets a solid 8.5/10 post-maceration.

I have a love/hate relationship with this fragrance. It smells very pink and young. But I still REALLY enjoy it. Its alway powdery, which I'm generally not a fan of, but still grab for this fragrance. when i first got it it smelled like a strawberry milkshake. about 4 hours longevity About amonth later is smelled like a powdery strawberry milkshake. about 4-6 hours longevity A year later...a powdery fruity vanilla on the spray and the dry down into a powdery sweet slighly musky, slightly woodsy vanilla with a 12 hour longevity. in all variations its still VERY PINK and youthful. but I like it. I didn't mean to let it sit a year, I just started wearing other fragrances and one day came back to it and was like "whoa, what happened?" its definitely a pink vanilla with amazing longevity ON MY SKIN.

Another very nostalgic fragrance. This was gifted to me, and I am surprised at how much I enjoy it, I pared it with Le Monde Gourmand Pistachio Brûlée, and it's like I'm at the mall when I was a kid, and walk past the girls shopping around, oversprayed in Victoria Secret body mist, giggling with their friends talking secrets, crushes, and the new party dress they just found that is covered in glitter and sequins. I loved those girls. It's very fruity and flirty, a universal or perfect balance of every day wear and date night. It softens after some time on the skin and becomes a very warm fruit pastry, vanilla and creamy, I wonder if that's what people are referring to when talking about the powderiness of it, but I'm not picking up on that. Really enjoy, mall fragrance, playful and fun 🫶🏻

bought this in like 2022-23 i think, before it went uber viral on tiktok. was obsessed for a couple months but then i started getting like this.. super sweet, rotting fruit smell? idk how to describe it but it wasn't appealing. stopped using it for a while but picked it up again recently and that scent profile was gone so i fell back in love with it. super powdery scent with absolutely no staying power on skin but it lasts a while on clothes. gonna use up this bottle but i probs won't buy again UPDATE: the further i get through the bottle, the more it smells musty. not musky. MUSTY. like how you'd smell in middle school after running in P.E. then spraying bath and body works spray to compensate for the fact that u forgot ur deodorant at home. i'm not finishing this.

I fell for the TikTok hype for this one and blind-bought a rollerball, and I'm not mad! This did NOT smell how I expected, though. I heard this one smelled like strawberry milkshakes, rich vanilla cake, gourmand. That is NOT what I smell at all. To me, Yara is light and airy, sweet and powdery, fluffy strawberry florals. Almost like shampoo. Just a classic "girly" sweet and fruity scent. Still pleasant, absolutely, but not rich and gourmand by any means. Performs more like a strong body mist than a perfume on me, I have to reapply a few times a day to get the scent to last. But for the price, I don't mind that. I just toss the rollerball in my purse if I'm wearing it that day. Overall, I'm not mad! But I'm also not dazzled. Just moderately pleased (:

This was a recent blind buy due to all the amazing reviews and how popular it is. I have to say this was a great blind buy for me! It smells like strawberries and cream to me. Very fruity and creamy, delicious. I heard after it sits for a few months it will be even better, so I am excited to see how it smells after it macerates. The perfume is pretty strong. Even one spray puts out a lot of sillage and it lasts about 6 hours on my skin. It dries down to a very delicious light vanilla type scent. It is a very sweet fragrance, and I could see how overspraying could be too overwhelming, and perhaps headache inducing. Overall, you really cannot beat the price!! It is a crazy good deal. I'll keep this one around!
