Forever Gold

I’m reviewing this perfume as a man (my girlfriend owns it). The opening is extremely sweet, yet it doesn’t smell synthetic or cheap in any way. The scent has a pleasant, fruity, and natural sweetness that’s beautifully balanced. It’s an intense kind of sweetness that probably comes from the plum note — I can only imagine a ripe, soft, and sweet plum behind it. What’s great about this perfume is that it doesn’t lean toward a youthful, teenage kind of scent (like something for 14–16-year-olds), but can easily be worn by women in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and beyond without ever feeling out of place. It’s a deliciously fruity sweetness that still feels mature and elegant. I believe this would be an absolute compliment magnet with good sillage. The perfume doesn’t reinvent the wheel or try to be overly experimental with different notes — it stays true to its sweetness. What makes this scent special is its femininity. This is a feminine fragrance par excellence — it radiates womanhood, especially through its sweetness and simplicity in composition. A feminine elegance that fits any occasion — at the office, grocery shopping, or in the evening. A compliment-getter with great value for money.

I remember my dad wearing Roma since back in the day we didn’t have a lot of options in my country. One colleague was wearing it recently and it was so good on him, I had to check the female section. LOVE AT FIRST SNIFF ❤️ This is the most deep, mysterious but still sweet fragrance perfect for the spring season. The plum reminds me more of.a blooming plum tree which is the scent in the air of my home town the moment the snow is officially done. The ginger adds this dryness that gives it so much complexity and the sweetness of the tuberose and ylang-ylang, stunning I never had the pleasure of trying Venezia but this is my spring signature with a 6-8 hour wear and a femme fatale but on a sunny day wearing a floral dress scent trail. For the price, the quality is shockingly good. 10/10!

I love it so much!!! We can't wait for it to go on sale in Australia. I've been trying to find a way to get to this perfume since I tried it and it's almost impossible, I ask everyone who goes to Europe to look for it. My favorite perfume is Venezia from the same house, and after 30 years none has taken its place, finally a new Venezia appeared, Forever gold for her is the right name. Finally, thank you Laura.

Love this one so much. It’s big, deep, has lots of character without screaming. Sweet and smooth but with a dark mysterious note that I find very interesting. As others already mentioned, it’s Venezia brought back and that makes me very happy! Be careful not to overspray and not to apply too close to the skin. Love the bottle and that it has no cap (I’m always dropping them). Hope it never gets discontinued 💜

VENEZIA is back! The ginger note in the opening gives Forever Gold a crisp modern touch, apart from that it radiates the DNA of Venezia quite authentically. All in all this is a true reincarnation of Laura Biagiottis masterpiece from 1992. Glad to have it in my collection.

Like a very successful modernisation of Venezia. A little lighter and with a fizzy ginger opening that I don't recall in Venezia but one that gives something new to Forever Gold. I may try amping up the base notes if I feel the need to recreate the past. Delicious.

This is amazing because it smells like the old Venezia, which I have been trying to find for so long! It is beautiful, rich, sweet and opulent, and I associate it with wonderful memories. I can smell mostly plum, jasmine, ylang-ylang and vanilla, and I love it!

Lovely, elegant sweetness, classic with a modern touch, worth every penny. I'm very happy with it, strong, long lasting, outstanding!

I never owned Venezia and don’t remember what it smelled like, just recall passing it by after considering it too sweet. Nowadays, I am experiencing a renewed interest in many perfumes I considered “too” (sweet, annoying, tame, etc.) back then, in my 20s and 30s. Ordered LB Forever Gold after reading reviews about Venezia. It was surprisingly good — smooth, seductive, unapologetically sweet in the best way. I am not too good smelling the single notes in its pyramid, so cannot really call it plummy or jasmine-forward; it’s just a full-bodied baroque sonata with a single sweet tobacco note soaring up like a violin adagio. Despite the sweetness, it does not suffocate the wearer but envelops her in a glorious aura of orange-gold sunset light. Forever Gold is not a modern gourmand as it has nothing I dislike in today’s offerings: no suffocating ambers and ouds, no synthetic musks, no harshness of any kind. I am partial to bittersweet oakmoss-based compositions yet wear Forever Gold with ease. It is very sexy and suitable for all ages. It would read as adorable on a young woman and seductive on someone older. Most men will be gaga over this.

05 May 2023 OMG! This is literally a reincarnation of old school Venezia fragrance that everyone loves!!! I am glad i am not the only one, who smells it. It smells more, like the original venezia, than the reissue under same name. It is softer, yes, but still very true to vintage masterpiece. Lets say it is less loud and more nowdays appropriate, than the vintage. Still very lovely and affordable. Do not sleep on this little treasure. And the bottle is adorable! Projection wise it is really nice, you can easy smell it few hours later. Love, love, love!!!

A very wonderful oriental fragrance, does not smell like nowadays perfume, but I would not call it a granny oldie, it's for those who love really oriental notes. Maybe for winter and summer night it's suitable but not in the office. I definitely feel like something very very similar to Venezia 2011 Laura Biagiotti but there's some note that gives headache to me, too sweet. But I'm happy to have back Venezia vibes.

When Venezia was released in 1992, it was an instant love for me! I’m hoping that I will be coming back to change my review of Forever Gold from dislike to at least like, after the bottle rests for a while. It arrived last week & it must be travel-shock because even though I detect my love, Venezia in this DNA, I’m also getting almost “bug spray” vibe. It must be the Ginger & Black Currant. So disappointing!

For me it is way TOO SWEET and nausea/headache inducing. I have no idea what kind of Venezia existed in the past, but this one is not my cup of tea. Get instant desire to wash it off. Not a safe blind buy.

it smells like smoked meat for me

I got a sample from LB and I must say, I love this one. I grew up with my best friend wearing Venezia and I did not like it. So I do not find the similarities with Venezia others have pointed out. There was a distinct note in Venezia which I could not stand. Back to this one - it is a perfect office wear transitioning to evening out. Beautifully female and warm without being offensive. I can see myself wearing this in the spring / fall season or even winter.

I used to to own a small 30ml bottle of Ralph Lauren glamorous. I am hopeful this will smell similar judging by the notes they have in common. Late 90s and early 2000s fashions are back and hopefully this rings true in the fragrance world as well.

Well, if You miss og Venezia ... buy this one. Its quite much the same without og base of Civet and Tonka. But I found from here the thing I loved in Venezia. For me its similar enough to love Forever Gold ❤️

Not quite what I expected! It is lovely, definitely plummy, but it turns out that is not a note that suits me. If anyone in the UK is seeking a full-sized bottle (it's very hard to find here!), please PM me!

Woody, creamy, fresh and a bit powdery. Smells nice and soft. Elegant but comfy. It’s nothing groundbreaking but it’s pleasant.

Venezia was one of the most lovely fragrances. It's wonderful that it has returned as Forever Gold.
