It is said that Rome is eternal (and Chicago is windy) and these perfumes are also timeless... Roma, despite almost 20 years on the market, not only has not aged, but has lost nothing of its relevance and freshness of tone.... this perfume is like a German or Swedish sedan - no matter how many years have passed since the model's launch, it still invariably pleases the eyes (in this case, the nose) with its neutral line, and no temporary whimsy/trend in design, can threaten its position.... admittedly, in terms of the design of the bouquet, Roma is more reminiscent of an Alfa Romeo or Maserati, rather than an angular Volvo or an edgy Audi - but it is impossible to deny this perfume beauty, finesse and the elegance perfectly leaking between these qualities.... The first Roma of 1995 set a trend for Biagiotti, which the brand consistently (fortunately) adheres to in its newer compositions (so far I have not yet met the Aqua version)... admittedly, Mistero and Essenza di Roma can be accused of duplicity and lack of invention, but anyone has an idea how to improve the style of the Alfa Brera or Maserati Quattroporte - without disturbing the perfect proportions and impeccable lines of their bodies?... is there a need to overpaint John the Baptist of Leonardo da Vinci's brush with the now fashionable Raybans, in order to refresh and improve the perfection of this work?... particles of fruit, a hint of flowers, a pinch of wood, and the whole enveloped in a discreet, lined with warm resins sweetness - creates here the image of a noble, discreet and unmercifully sensual perfume, directly created to seduce with its subtle, nostril-piercing fragrance.... I discovered Laura Biagiotti perfumes late, and although in the so-called "meantime" I have tasted a lot of excellent perfumes - these have made a particularly strong impression on me... this only proves that my delight in their sound is not an initial delight - it is not a result of an initial delight. This only proves that my admiration of their sound is not an initial delight - because along the way they had really strong competition, able to significantly cool down the enthusiasm accompanying the discovery of the contents of perfume shelves .... I know I use a lot of highfalutin terms and adjectives in my watery-ness when referring to bouquets - but this perfume in particular and with full responsibility deserves to be called excellent.... the delicate, charming bouquet of Roma is perfectly tailored, balanced and coherent, and it's impossible to point out a weakness in the composition, including quality parameters... I'm sure that if one were to stick this perfume in a faintly newer flacon, of a more famous brand (Boss, CK, Gucci, Lacoste, Paco Rabanne), and David Beckham, Brad Pitt or Ryan Gosling? (I have no idea what currently causes the biggest fizz in the ladies and jealousy in the gentlemen) in extremely skimpy briefs and pump a fartillion euros into the campaign - the fragrance would become a bestseller, which would easily overshadow all the successfully promoted with this method.... I found here quite a lot of reasons for admiration, starting with the very fashionable and at the same time remarkably revealed sweetness - derived from the combination of slightly aniseed heliotrope, noble resins and discreet chocolate patchouli.... caressing, enveloping and mercilessly seductive sweetness here is extremely light, easily melts with the skin and at the same time moves and ripples around the wearer with unspeakable grace, literally intoxicating with itself everything around... well, as in a hedgehog's mouth, casual perfect.... lovers of discreet and impeccably chic tempters, the likes of Cartier Must, Dolce & Gabbana The One Gentleman, Rochas Lui, Lolita Lempicka, Mont Blanc Presence and Bugatti Design & Motion will be cozily awed by the appeal of this perfume.... it consists of, absolutely not overpowering, a combination of citrus, tactfully colored with a touch of geranium flowers (heliotrope and jasmine) - and the whole thing is subtly underlined by the effusive dryness of conifers and the warmth of light sandalwood, patchouli and benzoin, but one step at a time.... Roma begins its concert with a graceful combination of intimate citrus, wrapped in the subtle sweetness of slightly aniseed heliotrope... admittedly, the official list of notes mentions only grapefruit and bergamot, but I sense the presence of geranium here, because the aforementioned citrus does not "play" as high, juicy and sonorous as the aforementioned "anginka".... in the middle chord, the fragrance loses its citrus freshness, replacing it successively with a discreet, fleshy and slightly resinous dryness - shrouded in geranium and pine needles and indivisibly triumphant, deep heliotrope.... as a result, an amazingly refined, refined and enveloping sweetness rings out over the skin... it is a full and expressive sweetness, yet digestible, graceful and casual enough to be a spectacular and finite axis of the composition in itself.... At the end of the middle chord, the sensual heliotrope begins to be accompanied by a literal dash of jasmine, giving the sound a bit of a lingering panache - which in no way disturbs the eminently masculine and appealing characteristics of the sound of this perfume... I assure you that one wears Roma per Uomo exquisitely and it is difficult to resist the charm of this perfume, especially since from the beginning of the mature opening phase, until the end, the bouquet evolves relatively little.... I assure you that you don't need more to be completely happy... the declining phase is accompanied by the revelation of a very mature and discreet (yet maintaining the briskness and clarity of the composition) sandalwood note, softened by the presence of a delicate, almost amber-soft benzoin - giving the still eminently heliotropic finish a slightly balsamic, warm and even more nostril-pampering character.... Already knowing all the holy trinity from Laura Biagiotti, I can be tempted to indicate their mutual classification... in fact, Essenza di Roma is the classic Roma per Uomo, but served in the Light version... it retains the mainstream Roma theme, but thanks to an adequate reduction in the carrying level of heliotropic sweetness, the fragrance qualifies for free use of this perfume even in summer.... while Mistero di Roma while maintaining a comparable carrying capacity as the Essenza version - from the end of the middle chord, it clearly deviates thematically towards woody atmospheres, prominently emphasized by a considerable share of ISO E Super... to sum up: the pleasure that comes from smelling the sound of this perfume is similar to the delight to the palate that comes from savoring a Kinder Bueno bar, by the way, check it out for yourself.... After knowing this perfume for 25 years now, "Roma Uomo" remains a remarkable scent among all the perfumes I know. It is elegant and sophisticated, although gentle as well. It's not very adventurous. It's like the city of Rome itself. It is impressive and yet so friendly. It's the perfect perfume type for a gentle and romantic man, a seductive male but subtly and charmingly. It starts with a fresh grapefruit opening note, mildly seasoned with fresh spices. The middle notes stand for dark green and woody nuances amidst sweet and vanillic florals. The base accentuates the vanillic and woody accords with strong notes of benzoin and sandalwood. There are also traces of balms that evoke the ambience of many old Roman monuments and churches. I like the presentation very much. It recalls the image of a Roman temple. It matches perfectly the feminine "Roma" which is shaped like an ancient column. I actually believe to exist some customers of both perfumes, that bought them just for their looks. Review of the new formula, manufactured in Italy by Angelini Beauty SpA: Recently, I had dug out my old backup bottle of Roma Uomo out of curiosity. It was buried all the way in the back of a cabinet and was dated to 2005 according to the batch code. It had always been a favorite of mine, but I haven't had a 75mL of some newly manufactured juice in a while, and I noticed that people on here were complaining about a reformulation, so naturally I had to find out what was going on. The only difference I perceive between a 2005 bottle and a 2021 bottle are that the plastic cap on the vintage bottle is speckled whereas the plastic cap on the new bottle has no speckles, and that the new bottle's sprayer is significantly improved, with that pressurized feature that all the kids love nowadays. The smell remains the same. I thought at first the performance may have been slightly degraded, so this morning I put one spray of 2005 on my left wrist and one spray of 2020 on my right wrist. It has been six hours and I can smell the base of both clearly, and they are identical. Actually, the new bottle smells better. It has fresher top notes, and the woods in the base are intact. Despite what you may have read, this was never actually a "beast mode" fragrance, which is why I was surprised when reading that a reformulation killed it's performance. It's always been an intimate/romantic style fragrance. As for the smell itself, it's still my favorite in this category. Oriental fougeres are tough to strike a balance. Individuel give connotations of fabric softener, Sculpture smells like sharp air fresheners or hand towelettes, Le Male is overdone, etc. I really enjoy this even more after doing a deep dive into resins last year. This perfume contains notes of galbanum, pine/fir balsam, and benzoin, which all coalesce to form the main accord of the fragrance after the crisp citruses have worn off. The effect is casual and breezy, perfect for a spring or summer afternoon with linen clothes on. The galbanum and pine contribute to a fresh green "sappyness," while minty geranium, basil and blonde woods create a smooth, clean fougere effect in absence of coumarin. The benzoin in the base gives a warm glow to the entire composition while also providing a powdery aspect, likened by other reviewers to a "chalky" kind of feeling, which is accurate. Even though I have been wearing this on and off since I was a teenager, I can't help but feel that I haven't fully appreciated it until now. This can be worn by any age group, but particularly fits individuals who are craving something original, with a laid back mediterranean vibe, without a scratchy noxious harsh base etc. Thoroughly recommended and incredible juice! I hope the comparison between P&G and Angelini batches helps somebody.

Bought a bunch of samples from Parfums Raffy as I was inspired by my recent trip to California. After visiting Lake Tahoe and hiking the beautiful forest, I wanted something that smelled like the fragrant woods out there.... The best natural scent I've ever smelled. So when I got home I started looking for fragrances with white pine, juniper and cedar as those were the primary ingredients for what I'm looking for. This one checked all 3. While I can safely say the scent doesn't exactly smell like the woods, I CAN say that this scent is an absolute masterpiece at a bargain of a price. When I got the samples, I sprayed all the samples I got on a piece of wafting paper to start and this one by far stood out the most. Rich base of vanilla, benzoin and sandalwood, with the cedar and patchouli taking a back seat but moving forward beautifully as the scent dries down. The pine and juniper add this incredible sharp but subtle edge that I was looking for while the basil and floral notes (jasmine being the one I'm picking up the most) balance it out. Sillage is moderate. Sprayed on my neck and wrists and smells very balanced. The scent is there but not offensive or "in your face". Perfect. I have yet to speak on the longevity as I'm only an hour into the wear, but it's currently as strong as it is when I put it on... I'm going to assume it's moderate. (EDIT: It's definitely moderate, starts to fade after about 3 hours, is virtually gone by 5.) This one really is amazing, I could almost consider this as my new signature. It's the kind of scent that could really work for almost any kind of situation any time of the year. Rich and sweet for the wintertime, yet light and fresh enough for the summer. When writing this review, I'm shocked to find that this fragrance is from 1992, It smells super modern and has aged incredibly well. Probably the first 90s cologne that has impressed me this much. If you are into woody/sweet masculine fragrances, this one is definitely blind buy worthy. After reading reviews below, someone mentioned this fragrance being a father to Versace Eros, nothing truer can be said. It's a vanilla based woody, citrusy, light yet rich masterpiece and is wearable any time of the year. My signature used to be Eros when I was younger, but I think the father scent is better. Truly an older, more low-key, classier alternative to the modern Eros. Less fruity, more woody. A true masterpiece. Timeless. Especially given the price point. This is now my new signature. About 15 years ago when I first began exploring the words of frags, I made a lot of impulsive blind buys. Many of these I quickly regretted and wrote off because I thought for a frag to be good, it had to hit you over the head and scream its presence. Roma Uomo was one that I was quick to disregard and therefore simply packed it away and ignored it. Now, 15 years later, I've discovered just how beautiful this juice truly is. No hard edges to speak of, but rather just a warm, evocative, enveloping blanket. I thank God I impulsively grabbed a number of 125s of the stuff back then, all of which have sat packed away in storage gathering dust until a few days ago when I finally decided to give them another go. What a joy now to wear this stuff, along with a few others that I didn't fully appreciate at first spray, like the original Minotaure, Givenchy's glorious and long-discontinued Insensé, and Diptyque's spectacular sans pareil Benjoin Bohème. Not a sharp edge in any of them--just warm, quiet, soothing, seductive deliciousness. About a decade ago I remember reading that David Bowie was reputedly always the best smelling gent in the room. I eventually came to learn that he often wore a simple mix of Minotaure and Floris' Elite, neither of which I found to be worthy of much praise. Now it's finally starting to make sense. Maybe it's sexier to simply leave the quiet impression that you just smell really good, then to have your presence announce "Hey, over here, I just hosed myself down with a half bottle of Invictus. Did you NOTICE?"

This is my favourite fragrance, it still is extremely popular here in Italy (where you can find it in any selective perfumery shop and where it is priced more or less as any other high end cologne) and there are good reasons for this popularity and longevity on the market. It is sweet, warm and sweet. Creamy. And at the time of its creation there were not so many sweet frangrances for men around as nowadays. Many of the fragrances of this type put on the market in the last years tend to be strong, seductive in a very bold kind of way, they are fragrances for a night out on the disco floor, they catch the nose but they lack subtlety. Roma Uomo is not like that. It is elegant. Very elegant and soft. It's the perfume for a gentle, romantic man, it is *very* seductive but in a subtle, velvety, charming, kind of way.If it was a dressing style it would be a casual chic outfit. It is just perfect for a man in his late 20s and 30's, but it really can suit any age and any dressing style from casual chic up to nearly formal. I use it in every season, but it gives the best in autumn and winter. It is good for daytime use, charming for evening wear. Just perfect. Bottle: nice, the idea is a roman temple at the sunset. Longevity: good. Zodiacal signs I think it would be particular good for: sensually sweet tauruses, romantic cancers, charming lybras.

LB Roma per uomo among all perfumes I know, is a outstanding masterpiece. It is elegant, sophisticated and prudent. Its like Rome itself impressive and yet it is friendly. It starts with a fresh citric scent with a trace of the incense you can smell in the many churches of Rome. In the heart it is like the scent of the the old Roman monuments with some green nuances and jasmine. At last it is like a oriental scent with the aromas of Italian food served in the evening. In the base there is sandalwood and patouchli. It is really a special perfume. It doesn't smell chemical like some modern perfumes like CK. Its a real Italian perfume which is really extremely long lasting for EDT. It is really one of the best. How good and nice a perfume can be depends on its ingredients. That is something I discovered just reading the sticker on the bottom. It says: natural spray * vaporisateur. When I looked at some perfumes that I have and that are for more than 80% natural, I was surprised that Laura Biagiotti Roma uomo had the same description. So now I know for sure that most ingredients of this great perfume are natural because this is an official product contents remark in the EU. Yes I wondered already before I discovered this that this perfume smelled so natural. Wow what a masterpiece. ( The other Roma perfumes don't have this remark btw)

Sweet orange pudding is what popped up in my olfactory system. Citrus freshness that disappears in 10 minutes. Than that green, fruity sweet creamy sandalwoody smell with a touch of spices in the drydown. I watched this one in cheap drugstores, websites and perfume warehouses for decades. Never bothered to try it or look at it more closely. Until I started this almost obsessive hobby that gives me lot's of pleasure and fulfillement. The name Annick Menardo came into my scoop. And after buying a couple of her creations (Jaïpur, Kouros Body, Coolwater Intense, to name a few), I started to appreciate her skills more and more. She creates rather linear perfumes that at first smell lack depth and complexity. But after let's say 5,6 wearings the love for her characteristic style grows and grows. It can take years. But now Roma Uomo is a precious gem for me. The smell calmes and comforts me. It reminds me indeed of Roma, one of my favourite cities. The powdery smells of the dusty streets, a quick lunch in a tiny street or alley. Orange ice-cream! Vanilla cream on warm cake. Spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. The price is so low you can over spray big time. Than it lasts 8 to 10 hours on my skin. I love everything about this. The box, the tacky bottle and the juice. I bow my olfactory head to Annick Menardo and Laura Biagiotti. Amore.

Creamy resinous Orange, Bought probably about 12 years ago from Fragrance.net as part of a large order(cost effective when buying from America) Its quite long lasting and iv not got another thats even close to its smell. and iv got over 155 in my collection. Just enough sillage, good projection and longevity. makes you feel very relaxed. its exotic and totally unisex. I love the way it surrounds me and my wife loves it which is obviously very important. looking at some of the later reviews on here it could well have been ruined by reformulation by now. dont know why they do it to classic fragrances because it will spell the end to its attraction and then they cannot continue to sell it. This fragrance is timeless and beyond fashion in my estimation. when you concider that this was sold from 1992 it is has all the facets from then and from the now! still not out of place in all that time frame. i wonder how many fragrances from the 90s can say that without being tagged grandad or grandma smell lol. mmmmm! yes i have a few of those lol Today its a typical miserable damp verging on rain sort of day here on the Kent coast. but this fragrance is making it pale into insignificance. so much so i just had to put my feelings into writing about it :)

I HAD to buy it again after now 14 years its been a while and I occasionally did some squirts from a tester from time to time as I walked by the store and Roma was seducing me, calling me from the shelves..Hey Pssstt.. pick me Man...,one more time! And i did it!, could not resist anymore it was a favourite scent then and im so happy i bought it now again. Its a milestone scent for me, its package and bottle design is typical classy 90's Italian. The juice gives me a great mellow and happy feeling wearing it, and dont expect an naive Happy,Happy - Joy,Joy scent! I see good times , romantic times, sensual heated moments with your beloved ones and a bit mysterious but definiatly not dark! Its perfect for summer days and evening wearing, it gives women a head turn if you project it rightly. Be a little macho and daring and this truly can be a troublemaker!(As JMGCG said) Hahaha... but its true! As others reviewers say its creamy and i certainly love its composed with galbanum and benzoin and citrus/grapefruits... In my collection i certainly will rank this one in my top 5 of most seducing scents. Buy it if you like a nice italian stallion summersweet delight!

This is such a unique fragrance. Warm creamy, sweet vanilla yet airy and suitable for any season. This is an amazing characteristic that makes it stand out and makes a great addition to any collection IMHO. It's not the strongest performer but it's strength lies in it's composition, creates an amazing impression of an Italian atmosphere and particular places which is so uncommon in today's perfumery. It may not resonate with anyone as it sits between sweet (can feel cloying) and fresh but for me it's one of the most interesting compositions I have ever smelled. It gives a strong 90s and metrosexual vibe so not a standard modern mass appealing fragrance, So I advise to sample first But overall great recommendation from me it's like a olfactory travel in time and space and I love to wear it for myself Edit: I ve seen it being compared to eros, and called eros predecessor in the comments here and I couldn’t agree more! Amazing connotation, obviously its not close just look at the notes but the structure and airiness of the perfume is creating this vibe, which again would explain my passionate opinion on both of this gems!

As a teenager and student, Roma was my go-to fragrance for the summer. The scent opens fruity-sweet, a little citrusy—not lemon, but more like a long-ripened grapefruit. The ripe grapefruit is accompanied by something creamy and sweet in the background, likely either benzoin or amber. Gorgeous! The first association that comes to mind is an expensive fruit sorbet you might enjoy in summer at a fine-dining restaurant in Monte Carlo in Monaco. Of course, the quality of the individual fragrance ingredients is clearly below that of comparable citrus fragrances like Versace Eros Energy or the entire range from Acqua di Parma. The synthetic note is quite noticeable, but for this type of scent profile and considering the price, it doesn’t bother me at all. What does stand out, however, is the sillage: initially incredibly strong, but it drops significantly after about 30 to 60 minutes. As an eau de toilette, the longevity is also rather short—especially in summer, with high outdoor temperatures and the tendency to sweat. Overall, a great and underrated summer perfume—unfortunately with short longevity. Blind buy-safe? 100%.

LAURA BIAGIOTTI: ROMA UOMO – A ROMAN EMBRACE THE METAMORPHOSIS: FROM COOL MARBLE TO SUN-DRENCHED WARMTH When I finally bought Roma Uomo, I was initially taken aback - the sweetness felt overwhelming at first. But a fragrance like this doesn't reveal its soul in a hurry. What I've learned to love is its incredible evolution on the skin. It starts with a crisp, bitter Grapefruit and Basil but as it warms up, it undergoes a beautiful transformation. It becomes creamy, balsamic, and deep. That sweetness is actually the comforting warmth of Pine Resin, Benzoin, and Sandalwood. It’s like sitting on sun-warmed marble as evening falls over the Eternal City. CONCLUSION: A TIMELESS STATEMENT OF MATURITY Roma Uomo demands the right setting - it truly shines in the evening or as the air cools down. It is a fragrance that requires a certain maturity to be fully understood. It’s an invitation, not a demand. If the initial sweetness puts you off, give it a second chance when the sun goes down. A true masterpiece of Italian soul.

My grandfather used Roma Uomo, I will always feel his presence in this fragrance and hopefully someday find enough strength to wear it. My grandfather fought in WWII as a partisan, he was captured by nazis and taken to a concentration camp in Udine, Italy, from which he managed to escape. He became naval officer after the war and lived a long and fulfilled life. When I was a kid we used to spend a lot of time together in his orchard, I always felt he was the happiest surrounded by olives and mandarin trees he planted himself. He never spoke of any hardship, never complained and was always searching for small and simple things that brought our family a lot of pleasure. That is what I feel in Roma Uomo: mandarin and olive trees, brick wall(mattone pieno), pine trees, sun on my cheeks, my grandpa cutting fresh basil, grandma cooking; lunch will be ready soon, life is beautiful, cherish it...

The older brother to the original Dolce and Gabbana Pour Homme. Both released in the mid 90s. While D&G was prepping for a night in the discoteca, picking up girls, Roma was relaxed, a bit older, sipping a cafecito in the plaza, in the late Spring sunset shadow of the cathedral. Jeans, loafers, a nice Polo, and a pastel sweater tied around his neck. The evenings can get crisp. Roma is laid back, laughing with his friends, his beautiful lady on her way to join him for tapas and a bit of vino tinto. (They'll later give birth to Versace Eros, but that's another story) A tad citrusy in the opening and then moved towards a resinous vanilla wood blend. A touch of tart fruit to balance the sweetness, this comes of as a very natural (i.e. effortless) fragrance. Two sprays max. Spring and summer evenings. Recommended

The basil, citrus opening of Roma per Uomo takes me to a new place every time I spray it. It can be a stroll down a ruelle in France, or a walk in the Napa Valley on a cool spring day. For me Roma is strangely warm and cooling at the same time. It is very italian and very stylish. The basil opening sets up the jasmine and the coniferous notes to create this slow sweet, floral progression into an almost vanilla like woody/amber sweetness. Roma is linear but enjoyable. There is this beautiful natural aura around this fragrance. Sure the longevity isn't great but the scent as a whole is a pleasurable olfactory experience. This is a great scent for spring and summer. This scent begs to be worn when meeting an acquaintance over an espresso in the late afternoon.

I enjoy wearing Roma pour Uomo and it is almost more likeable to me, than feminine version, that I also love and own for many years. Its effortlessly chic, relaxing, soft, creamy, smooth, the softest and creamiest pine tree with juniper, by the way. From the first spray it is like..buttery, if you understand the comparison. Whether that balsam's of fir with benzoin contribution, but the blend is absolutely gorgeous. Projection and lasting time is very good as well. To me it is not similar with Minotaure by Paloma Picasso, (also big like of mine) its probably goes in same direction, but they are not like kids from same mother and father anyway. Minotaure is sharper, more herbal and dry-frutier, Roma is again, - soft, creamy, woody - due to pine and cedar.

Another 'Italian stallion'! There's something about these Italian fragrances which is just so seductive. Another favourite is mine is Moschino Uomo (check that one out if you haven't!). Anyway, back to Roma Per Uomo. It opens up very fresh with a citrus/orange smell and is joined by a woody/green smell in the mid and basenotes. Masculine, but not macho. Popular, but still unique. The fragrance is from 1994 but it stands the test of time without any problem. Roma is a true classic which brightens up my day whenever I get a whiff of it. Perfect for the office. Good for all-year round use. Amazing as a compliment-getter (I had many). Conclusion: an affordable, versatile and superb-smelling addition to any collection!

An unusual fragrance: the grapefruit and sweet benzoin together smell vaguely like an orange, but even with the note of vanilla in here combined with it, this doesn't smell like a Creamsicle. It smells nostalgic and far away--very evocative of an autumn rain, although with the citrus you could certainly wear it even in summer. If it had a little more oomph to it, then its haunting melancholy quality might be blasted away. UPDATE 9/2/23: Over time this has become a real favorite, especially more and more now that fall approaches. In its evocation of dreaminess and gentle sadness, it brings to mind that beautiful 1940s Great American Songbook standard "Early Autumn" with the memorable Johnny Mercer lyrics.

Roma Uomo was one of my first imported perfumes along with Quartz Pour Homme and Café Café. And it brings me great memories, like my first job, when I was still a 17-year-old boy, wearing social clothes and starting my "grown-up" life. Roma Uomo is a delight, which opens with galbanum, basil, and grapefruit, going towards a delicious heart of jasmine, pine, heliotrope, and juniper. Then, it reaches its most creamy base of sandalwood, patchouli, and benzoin. The result is a creamy and sophisticated fragrance that evokes elegance. When it comes to Roma Uomo, much more than finding an occasion to wear it, the most important thing is to find the perfect state of mind to bear it. Astonishing fragrance!

I recently had the pleasure of trying out Laura Biagotti's Roma Uomo cologne. I'm usually not one for colognes; I usually like a deodorant or body spray more, but Roma Uomo was an exception. With it's mix of bergamot, grapefruit, lavender, and musk, it's a classic, yet unique scent. Wearing this cologne evoked so many dreams of wandering through the streets of Rome, searching for the perfect tall, dark, and handsome Italian to sweep me away. The blend of citrus and musk made me smell masculine, but still soft and alluring. I received so many compliments throughout the day, it's become one of my favorite colognes. It's one of those timeless aromas you'll always treasure, so go out and try it!

Masterpiece. It reminds me a sailing cruise around Elba, Ishia, Ventotène, Ponza, Gianuttri, Procida near Napoli... Soft and addictive, Orange and vanilla with a creamy side. It smells happiness and civilization through thyrenian sea's port of call... It was a privilege and it is still a pleasure to meet you, LB’s Roma Uomo! Such a great perfume – and equally great is my regret that I discovered you just recently, just a couple of years before these lines are written. How could I be so sightless? Where were my senses? Roma Uomo is a colorful combination of citruses and sweets. It’s enthusiastic and joyful. It is a mature scent, but emanates the spirit of the Latin youth. His sweetness is not the Mugler’s or D&G’s one – but is that kind of aroma that will describe a city and his gents. Of course, you may like it or not – is just normal. My advice is to taste it. At least a few of you will adore it. A deserved 9+/10

On blotter: the initial blast of herbal citrus centers grapefruit without bitterness. Soon Roma diverges from the fresh herbal route with its floral, creamy and ambery aromas, though the herbal citrus lingers around all the time. It's fresh, sweet, and creamy. Seemingly generic today, but it has the composedness that most others lack. One can certainly get a 90s' vibe. People around me love this tender juice. a side note: a friend said it reminds him of Fanta orenge or Nestle Tang (a powdered orange-flavored drink), two really old beverage. LOL For all seasons, but I think it proffers the greatest pleasure when temperatures are moderate.

It's a great fragrance , Elegant , Classy and Sophisticated. It's Sweet but not Cloying. Olfactive family : Oriental Woody. Roma opens up with like sweet citrusy , green and floral notes in the background then dry down is creamy vanilla woody. The Galbanum note is dominant in this scent. The art of bottle design is very beautiful like Roman Temple and Orange color Cap that Roma smells like Tangerine and Orange. This perfume reminds me of Minotaure but Roma is more milder. It is suitable for the spring , fall and winter. I really enjoy it and I love Roma Uomo by Laura Biagiotti for Men. Two Thumbs Up. Rating : 8.5 / 10

I gave my bottle of this to someone whom I thought loved it more than I did. But I really missed wearing it, and so eighteen months later, I bought another bottle for myself, and won't give this one away. This is one of the greatest autumnal scents for men I've ever experienced. Neither orange nor vanilla are officially listed in the note pyramid, but it reminds me of an orange creamsicle nonetheless... but it's not sharp nor is it even a gourmand, really... it's more like the faded memory of a creamsicle. It evokes rain and nostalgia and quiet and contemplation.... the perfect fragrance for fall.

It's time to write my opinion for this "Italian" That's right, it's a real Italian- charming, seductive, classy, not too loud and stylish enough. What I really love about it- this combination of benzoin and citruses. Just beautiful. At some point reminds me of CH Men, both of them have this seductive beauty. From the opening till the very end this fragrance it's beautiful and doesn't have a "black hole" of some bad periods. If you go out in the club in your casual outfit, it suits perfectly. If you take it on a suit, it suits perfectly- you become instantly "wanted". MASTERPIECE!!!

One of the greats from the golden era, Roma Uomo is your citrus beast of choice. It was always a dividing juice - either it's for you, or it isn't. Top notes are grapefruit, lemon zest and bergamotte big time. But then it turns into this almoost woody, hypnotic carnation and patchouli (loud) middle- and skin scent. It lasts all day long, and even the sillage is a 8+ hrs. Measured against todays standards it's a bold choice, and it could be your signature fragrance, or one you'll never wear again. The house of Biagiotti is way underrated either way, because the quality is top-shelf.

This was my prefume election for a long time, after seeking a fresh alternative to the Tuscanny. It was my scent for warm days until the day it was impossible to find it for sale in Portugal. WOW notes of grapefruit involved me for a long time followed by the warm tones of sandalwood and cedarwood. This prefume is a magnet for women :-). In fact is a trouble maker :-) I had a fellow woman who kept following me :-) "my god you smell so good, hugs me want to be involved this perfume "Yup I'm not kidding. Longevity 8 hours or more Scent 8/10 It is one of my perfumes I give it 9/10

So, back in 2007, I worked for just three days with a colleague who smelled... unexplainable. I didn’t think it could be a perfume because, well, it didn’t smell perfumey. I thought it must have been some fabric softener or something. That smell stayed imprinted in my memory, and I searched for it ever since. Fast forward to 2019, and a friend of mine was wearing Roma. That was it! The scent I couldn’t get out of my head because of its subtle, persistent presence. Gorgeous drydown! As a woman, I love wearing this, and I find it absolutely unisex.

A very nice floral woody fragrance with (indeed) some similarities with PP Minotaure. But while I'd define Minotaure as a fruity amber, that could easily be worn by everyone, I see Roma more as a wood-centric fragrance, that will get some creaminess from the jasmine and some sweetness from the resins, which might be favored by men. Overall more well-behaved and less opulent than Minotaure. To note also that performance is lower for Roma. Could do a perfect 'back-up with a twist' (and less sweetness) for Minotaure. I will think about it ;)

There are a lot of fragrances that I love, but none of them is able to evoke such a specific and beautiful scene like Roma Uomo: it's a warm summer evening, a gentle breeze is blowing, and I'm walking through the quiet lesser-known alleys and squares of an historical city, away from the crowds. Roma, as the name suggests, but also Venice, Verona, or some small tuscan town. It's a creamy, sweet and balsamic light scent, a very different tone compared to the stronger ones of men frags.

Benzoin at its best! What a mix! Citrus and pine with heliotrope? I blind bought it for this reason and I’m not disappointed QUITE THE OPPOSITE! It's unisex! It’s a bit more fresh and a little less unapologetic than what I’d like it to be but there’s this resinous, balsamic sweetness and bitterness I am really drawn to. A must have! I’d pay much more for it. If Tom Ford would sell it under some fancy name like “Pubic Noir” I’d need to pay £200 for 50ml! #MASTERPIECE 9/10

Very nice counterpart to Roma Donna, has many of the same features. This one is slightly more sweeter than Donna. I think it makes a good dupe for Hermes Elixir des Merveilles at a fraction of the price. It has the similar orangey woodiness that for some reason gets me stuck on orange Smarties? Possibly the mix of orange, sugar and chocolate? It is evocative of orange trees and hot dusty roads with marble colonnades. As with Donna, this is Roman sightseeing in a bottle.

Higher school of perfumery. I’d really love for this scent to be made by some niche house, composed only of noble ingredients, and to last, and last, and last. I love every moment in this scent. Nothing smells like this. This is how the ’90s smell, a white shirt, leather seats in a Porsche, and a trip to Italy on the Mediterranean. This is how the old world smells, the one that no longer exists. Worth it for the memories alone.

It's just impossible to dislike this scent...aroma seems to be very familiar but it's really unlike any other fragrance....it's soft, pleasant but also deep , long -lasting, warm .... like the best balm that soothes pain and brings relief. It is not the perfume that is needed to seducing or giving some splendor for user...it is perfume that shows -quite simply-the scent of beauty.

A good Parfum. Warm,sweet,romantic... relax me. The benzoin ago backdrop to all the other notes in a perfect way. A perfume indicated more for fall according to my taste .. has a moderate sillage and longevity on me lasts 6-7 hours. I like the drydown, thick and creamy .. a delicious perfume. Sillage: 7.5/10 Longevity: 8/10 Scent: 8.5/10 Overall: 8.5/10

Creamy and delicious opening. Very clean and distinguished. Not particularly floral or citrus.There is a subtle warm spice underlying as it dries down. The base wood notes definitely settle on the dry down, but in a very complimentary way. It has a somewhat enigmatic character. Definitely an every day / work appropriate scent. Very Bon chic- Bon genre.

I love this fragrance! It's so cozy, warm and powdery. It sits close to the skin, it's not a scent you'll smell from miles away. It does smell like grapefruit for about a second, but then it immediatly goes to the jasmine and musk territory. It smells a bit like talc, very clean and calm. I think this could pass easily as a feminine fragrance as well.

This is still so gorgeous after all these years...sweet, creamy, woodsy. otherworldly. Roma makes me think of being in the forest, looking up at the trees. Soft and pretty from the first spray all the way to the drydown. This scent does whisper but it's always there. This whisper-light quality only adds to it's ethereal character. Love this stuff.

Scent of classy 90's gentlemen. My father had it in his cabinet when I was a kid and the smell is just captivating (that was 20-25 years ago). I have a Roma at all times with me. The opening is pure smoothness. Soft, elegant...amazing. The only downside is that it lasts until you reach the door. It has 0 longevity, even for an EDT it is too low.

This for me is the true sensual perfume of the Italians. One of the best selling (if not the best selling) perfumes in Italy. I am a great admirer of this perfume, I once smelt it on a distinguished eighty year old person and it made quite an impression. A perfume for all ages, maybe for the over 25s, that doesn't show its age. Beautiful.

I had this about 10 years ago, so if they have reformulated since then, take what I say with a pinch of salt. I wouldn't say it's overly fruity or citrusy, but it does evoke the feeling of eating a segment of a delicious orange, while sitting outside on a warm summer's day. Fresh and breezy, sweet and natural, a delectable princess. 9/10.

it's simple, not overpowering, smells clean, you get the feeling like freshly washed in the best fabric softener in the world :) at the end it's close to skin and really sweet....besides d&g's the one, this is a true gentleman, very cary grant like feel ;) and the bottle is cool all in all, very addictive scent one of my favorites

I struggle to classify this because I haven't experienced a "cheap" scent of this quality before. A blast of natural citrus melting into green trees with base-notes of sandalwood, cedar and musk. If Creed bottled this, it would sell for $500. A very safe blind-buy. On second thought, buy two. You won't regret it.

Deserves to be gate kept 😁. Such exquisite sweetness yet not cloying nor generic. There’s no hint of synthetic metallic smell. It’s a great scent for a cold winter night out on a sophisticated setting. Quite potent so don’t over spray. Will still cling to your shirt the next day. Kudos to the late Laura Biagiotti

My best blind buy ever. I had read reviews about it and how other people described the scent. Bang on. Great scent! :) My own view..... Very elegant and classy, gentlemanly, fresh cool aquatic citrus, sensual and suave. Like eating a refreshing orange sorbet at the beach but not as sweet. Great scent!

Sex in a bottle .. I owned it when I was 15 & repurchased it multiple times over the years .. it's very nice sensual smooth comforting fragrance...good performance ..all year round fragrance..very affordable..very sexy erotic IMO 🙃 is it just me? & my nostalgic thoughts? Maybe! Unique 8.5/10👌

quite common in italy, this is a good quality scent. it smells like "sweet oranges", in a good sense.. elegant and versatile, can be used at daytime and night; it has class. there's something in this scent that reminds me of the 90s.. anyways i think this better suits people above 25.
