Tempore Donna

Laura Biagotti was such a big deal in the 90s. The perfumes and their ads were everywhere! Tempore was the last fragrance from this era, and maybe not quite as big as Roma, Laura or Venezia, but soo good. I can't remember if I smelled this when I was younger, but I'm so glad I got a sample of this discontinued gem recently. It's a 1990s gourmand, which is different from the gourmands of the 2010s and later. This has a very smooth, non-sugary kind of sweetness. The most important notes to my nose are peach, pineapple, vanilla and dark chocolate. The pineapple smells almost candied in this, not sour and fresh. And the chocolate is masterfully done. Together with the vanilla it smells like a darker milk chocolate, not too bitter, but very refined. Some chocolate perfumes have an unpleasant waxy note, this absolutely doesn't. The florals and woods are not very pronounced, if I never saw the notes list I'd have no idea what exactly is supposed to be in this. But Tempore has a floriental, "perfumey" feel that makes clear that there is more to it than just fruit and foody notes. This is really gorgeous, I love it. Tempore and Laura are my favorite Biagotti scents, too bad that only one of them is still available. Maybe I'll score up a bottle on ebay one day.

First, I got my hands on a mini splash and was completely charmed by this fragrance with its rich, but not overwhelming, chocolate note. I had to find a FB and was lucky enough to get my hands on one. This is a beautiful fragrance. The scent is, of course, vintage so I don't know how much richer this perfume would've been at its prime but I get nearly all the notes sprinkled with the softest but best quality dark chocolate powder. I can't stop smelling my wrist. It is similar in a small way to my Mugler ToF minus the animalic note. I'm so pleased to add this to my collection - a true beauty. 2/18/26 Update: I've loved this beauty so much, the seller offered me a second bottle at an even steeper discount and I did not hesitate to say yes. Because I now have a backup FB, I'm spraying with abandon. This is such a lovely perfume and as the chocolate settles an ever so slight animalic whispers from the background, which I didn't notice at first. Even my husband dared say - "You smell good" - an effusive comment coming from him ;)

Sweet floral vanilla that smelled femininely invigorating at the same time. It was a blind buy for me and it was a wonderful decision too. I remembered buying it when I had first started working in end of 2006. I was still tight on a budget back then. Tempore Donna was top in my favourite perfumes list. I always wore it whenever I attended a social gathering or a formal event as it smelled unique and luxurious without being obnoxious. It was comforting and always gave me a boost of confidence (Well at least to me anyway). I regretted for not buying a second bottle. Fast forward to now, I found out Tempore Donna was discontinued years ago. Such a shame... So now, I have 2 bottles of Escada’s Desire Me as a dupe for Laura Biagiotti’s Tempore Donna. It is about 90% similar. (I still keep Tempore Donna’s empty bottle by the way - That’s how much I’ve loved the fragrance). It has become my signature fragrance too. How I wish Tempore Donna is making a comeback though. I would surely buy it in a heartbeat without a doubt.

Tempore is one of my all time favourites. It starts with citrus notes, pineapple and peach - yellow, sunny fruity notes that resemble the feeling of warm rays of sun on my skin. The floral heart notes of violet, freesia, lily-of-the-valley and jasmine define the heart of the composition and make it a floral fruity fragrance. The soft powdery violet note mingles with the intense, sweet and warm base notes of vanilla and chocolate. All in all the composition smells like sun and vanilla. This is what my husband says and I think he is 100% spot on! Tempore lasts for hours and hours on my skin but has average sillage only. Still, the longevity is marvelous and I get whiffs of this sun & vanilla scent all day long. Another discontinued 5 star fragrance from Laura Biagiotti.

I found Tempore Donna in the internet store and bought again after ten years interval, when I used it first time. It was my signature scent. I do not dissapointed, the scent is so delicate, feminine vanilla. Today is raining all day and I can enjoy this sweet, soft vanilla chocolate and spices. I do not feel floral notes, there are some mix of sweet flovers, but I can't separate them. At first notes I can smell apricot, but do not lemon at all. I like it at cold, rainy days it gets me feeling of warm.

This is one of the longest lasting perfumes out there. I got a mini bottle that I loved so decided to get the big one as well. Mine are exactly the same. Same smell, same sillage, same lasting power. Funny, I don't smell any chocolate in it ( I would love it though:) Even at first spray I can smell the head notes or base notes. No fruity punch on me, just the sweet lingering scent of a mixture of vanilla and honey. Why is honey not listed in the notes? Love it as I love everything Biagiotti.

There is something extremely attractive about Tempore Donna...Very soft, feminine, it does not shout but it whispers.In my mind, it is a scent for Eliza Sommers, the adventurous, but very gentle and loving heroine of Isabel Alliende. I almost can see her in her pastry shop in old Chinatown - with the aura of exotica and mystery about her. This woman will not tell her secrets to anyone, she will keep them in her heart...or in the sand clock bottle of Tempore Donna.

Tempore Donna is another fragrance that I miss. I still have almost a full 50ml bottle left but as soon as that will be finished there will be no way to stock up on this lovely, feminine, sweet and sexy fragrance. I use it very sparingly because it is one of my treasures.

Some missing notes in this perfume are the following: -Pear -Cyclaam -Magnolia -Plum -Rose -Nuts

Oh, I remember this perfume! Sexy, vanilla, cream and a hint of spices. I used to love it!

I have a special fondness for this fragrance and I'm afraid my review's gonna be fueled by emotion rather than fact. For me it's the soft fruity milky touch that makes Tempore shine brightly in the sea of floral-fruities, it gives it that special warm aura (picture a spring day when it's not really hot yet but the sun makes things smell really nice and comforting like my daughter's hair or my cats sunbathing...) It starts out with pineapple, a little peach, citruses and a milky note. Just a hint of the top notes stays noticeable until way into the dry-down. After a while violets and white flowers come into the mix and build a bridge to the base notes. The scent dries down to a really great combination of chocolate, vetiver and woods with a touch of vanilla. But enough with the walk down memory lane, reality check! Unfortunately body chemistry can change over time and Tempore is working decreasingly well for me. The violets - barely there in the past - are now dominating the scent for a short period about 2 1/2 hours in. During that phase they turn the scent way too powdery on me. It's almost suffocating the wonderful dry-down and clearly taking away from the overall experience. With that said I gotta admit I probably wouldn't hold on to the scent if it was still in production and easily attainable. I haven't found anything that could replace my sunshine association with this fragrance's top notes but if I miss the dry-down I put on the original Jil by Jil Sander. It reminds me a little of this scent. Tempore lasts about 6-7 hours, maybe a little longer if your skin doesn't react strongly to violets.

The fruity stage of this perfume is quite unusual in that it is sweet, cohesive and sits on a milky base. I cannot pick out any particular fruit, except for lemon, although it has an overall fruitness to it, akin perhaps to the overall milky fruitness one finds in a tropically themed smoothie. Including the tartness from natural yoghurt. The florals are sheer and mildly astringent, although this could also be a lemon reference. I feel that the taste of florals is primarily there to blend the fruit to the sandelwood/choc base. I think that the underlying briskness of lemon ruins the heart somewhat. While it adds a level of complexity not found in most modern fruity florals, it does seem to curdle the milk a tad and leaves a sour dryness in your mouth. Once the lemon phases out however, you are left with an exquisite vanilla milk chocolate with distinct dry sandalwood undertones. It is very palatable and I find myself revelling in its simple pleasure. All in all, this is a very pretty fragrance, with enough complexity to make you work for it.

Well I admit I can't pick out any specific note, but I don't need to, it's wonderful. I've dabbled in Laura Biagiotti since my mom gave me the balance of one of her bottles of a Laura Biagiotti fragrance when I was in high school. I used every last drop and was never able to find it again. So my love of perfumes started there. This is easy to wear, soft, feminine and fabulous. If your a fan of Venetia it's a definite must to try. Softer than Venetia and just as enjoyable to wear. It's a sweet (but not as sweet as say, Lolita Lempicka) and fruity floral. So well blended it just smells like a big cloud of comfy happiness, much like wrapping up in a fluffy blanket. The dry down makes me think of snicker doodles for some reason. I decided to wear this Christmas day and I couldn't have picked anything better. Perfect for anytime anywhere, and absolutely perfect for the holidays. This is one I'll be wearing for a long time.

Finaly i got this one at hand again . Actualy i never owned it myself earlyer , but i tryed it several times , wanting it . but one day it was nowhere to be found . and i was so sad about it . but thanks to ebay i now have a few small bottles:) this isent cuite as i reamemberd it . somehowe i did think this was sweeter. Trying it on my skin now and i feel a strong relation whit L`instant. I can feel the citrus and pinapple , and the jasmin, lilly of the valley and violet lingering in the middle. the chocolate and vanilla whit all its glory ending it nicly up whit all the other ending notes. a lovely fragrance but i must say im a little disapointed in my memory of this one . Reamembered it more chocolaty and sweeter , but this is nice to:)

When I lived in the UK, my girlfriend husbnad had did a deployment to Holland, while he was in the Red Light District, this exocit dancer walked by him wearing this perfume. He was so caught up in the scent he aske her what it was, and she told him. He purchased a bottle for his wife(my friend, ans when she came to the house, I had to have it. I bought a bottle and used it all. I didn't keep the bottle and I forgot the name of it. I knew it was made by a designer who also made sunglasses. Well today I was on a mission to find this perfume, and Thank Goodness I did! I have been trying to find this scent for 10 years. I already placed an order. This scent is delicious. My husband goes crazy when he smells this.I can't wait to get it.

A gourmand from pre-IFRA era,which can compete and beat most of the gourmands in modern niche by astonishing longevity, softness, deep melting chocolaty nuances with tangy pineapple and - vanilla based. Its full-bodied, skillfully made, even though it belongs to gourmand category,- its very feminine and sensual, thanks to freesia and subtle notes of jasmine, not candy-empty-headed if you know what I mean. And even though in base most prominent note is vanilla yet it has that wonderful soft woodiness, that you dont meet in any modern fragrances anymore.

The beginning of this perfume was very fruity, I was almost sure I was smelling apricot. Then the flowers emerged, first their freshness and sweetness peaking through the slight sourness of fruit, then taking the center stage. This was my favorite part of the smell, especially when the flowers started to smell sweeter and sweeter... I've been smelling this throughout the night, on and off of sleep (yep, I am somewhat an insomniac) and in the morning I woke up with pure dark chocolate on my arm. Will update my review for a more awake experience ;)

At the beginning I can only detect chocolate. All I get is chocolate diluted in alchool, even a little unpleasant. Then, after a while, let's say about 30 minutes, it develops into this lovely, warm, pleasant vanilla and chocolate drooling fragrance... It makes you think of cold winter evenings and a cup of thick hot chocolate with marshmellows...cosy... For those days when you need to hug yourself... :)

It's valentine's day in a bottle! Fruit, flowers and chocolates. I smell mostly pineapple dipped in chocolate- also peaches, oranges, vanilla and freesia. The dry down on me leaves chocolate-vanilla with just a few remaining drops of tart fruit juice. I like it! Probably best in cooler weather for me, otherwise it could border on too sweet during the first couple of hours.

I have had a bottle of this for years and it has hardly been used. I have started to wear it again to merely get it used up. It smells to me similar to at least two from the 90s/early 2000s, e.g Wings and Contradiction. It is pleasant enough and it's longevity is brilliant. However I won't lose any tears when it's finished.

I was wearing this few years ago, went to night club and one Man said to me about this scent "ahh, scent of woman". So I take this to be pretty good One. None have said so before or after him. Smiling, maby its about men in my country.. not talking much about these kinda things... or this is Truely feminine perfume. ;)

To me Tempore smells very similar to Due Donna, with an additional fruity note that prevails. Especially the dry down is IDENTICAL to Due Donna. I know that the components are not the same at all but they are very similar on me. It's a soft, feminine scent.

This is my go-to scent for spring and summer! It's sweet and fruity without being overpowering, and the vanilla and chocolate notes add a touch of warmth. I get compliments on it all the time.

Good, mild, sweet. I like it, not annoying, which's important when it comes to classical perfumes.

This smells NOTHING LIKE CHOCOLATE! It stinks SOoo bad! i hate this stuff,i'm 25 and this stuff is just a strong smell of poop.I am a HUGE cacao/cottoncandy/vanilla scent fan and this smells nothing like VANILLA,or chocolate. it smells like...some cheap dollar perfume that u can get from a dollart store, i've smelled this from there so many times in my life, it doesnt smell high end at all. a waste.. uhhgg..i like fruity/flirty/warm/sensual/alluring scents..this smells like a grandma from 1980...just go to the dollar store for this.

Parfum au chocolat...This is warm, sweet-a touch of vanilla, a touch of powdery flowers, the fruit is there, sweet on the skin, but this is a lot of dark chocolate. I think I don't like chocolate in perfume either, or gourmands for that matter, but this would be great for a gourmand-lover-Maybe I could get my mom to wear this instead of Angel.....

Light, yet comforting. The fruity and floral notes are sheer, but they do lift the chocolate powder base nicely. [3/5]

Tempore donna is a very feminine and upbeat fragrance, which actually came as a surprise. I was expecting warm and cozy....but it's actually quite bright. To my nose, the beginning makes me think of a combination of Woman in Rose & Lollia Always. I "thought" I could smell rose & some kind of citrus (like the grapefruit in Always--just not as potent). I see in the notes listed that TD consists of neither one. When the middle notes arrive, I can't discern the individual floral notes. They seem to be very well balanced, and not strong at all bec. I'm still smelling a vibrant rose-grapefruit aroma...but more powdery now that the middle notes have arrived. It actually takes a while (at least an hour or so) before I finally start smelling a soft spray of vanilla...and it takes another hour before I smell the chocolate (though it's very light & still mingling with the top notes that haven't completely gone away). The woodsy notes do not take root on me at all. Not a bad thing, though I'm still convinced it would have added a bit more sexiness or sensuality at least if they HAD appeared on me. Overall, it's not a bad little potion. I feel very feminine, upbeat, and....poised at the same time. Darling fragrance. I could wear this in the Spring, Summer, AND Autumn....though I think I would need something more "sturdy", deep, sweet, and rich for the Winter. *UPDATE: I'm wearing it after my shower, and though I still get a very soft combination of grapefruit & rose, the sweet chocolate arrives faster this time around. It's so warm and tender right now that I don't know what to think---except that I really truly DO enjoy this fragrance. It's actually quite comforting in its own special way. I love that the sweetness shows up sooner this time. I am very pleased!

Laura Biagiotti Tempore Donna I was in Florence, probably the most opulent city in the world filled with staggeringly beautiful art. I was in seventh heaven having spent a beautiful day in the sunshine with Michaelangelo, Da Vinci and Botticelli, and I didn’t think life could get any better. I was admiring Gilberti’s Gates of Paradise when I literally felt someone’s eyes on me, looking me over from head to toe. I spun around, only to be met with the sexiest most piercing blue eyes I’d ever seen. Those eyes belonged to the most handsome man I’d ever seen too, my own Eduardo Verastegui, who walked over and asked me if I’d like to join him for coffee. Even though I love the smell of coffee, I much prefer hot chocolate. He ordered a hot chocolate for me that, to this day, is the best I’ve ever had. It was a lot like the city of Florence itself, very opulent, rich, and warm. It was like melted nutella – very thick, not like the watery American chocolate I was expecting. It was classic Florentine ideology that “more is better,” in a cup. That night we went out on the best first date I’ve ever had and we dated for several years afterward. I learned how to eat, drink, cook, paint, speak, sing, and love like a Florentine, where more is always better. The moment I smelled this divine fragrance, it was as if the entire memory of that first meeting with my Italian love was bottled – sitting in a café in the sunshine, drinking a thick rich cup of nutella chocolate, and looking at the man of your dreams in the most opulent city in the world, filled with artistic masterpieces. This perfume is classic, warm, rich, opulent and staggeringly beautiful; bottled Florentine art.

Fragrance Review For Tempore Donna Laura Biagiotti Top Notes pineapple mandarin orange peach lemon Middle Notes violet, freesia, jasmine lily-of-the-valley Base Notes: sandalwood, vanilla, dark chocolate, vetiver cedar. I've really loved and enjoyed the Laura Biagiotti fragrances Roma, Venezia and Sotto Voce. Tempore Donna wears more like Sotto Voce as it is a fruity floral. This is a sweet and pretty fragrance of fruit, flowers, chocolate and vanilla. It's not quite as gourmand as the gourmands out there today but it does have gourmand qualities. The chocolate really stands out toward the dry down, a dark chocolate which oddly harmonize with dark wood notes. The opening is fresh with a lemon and lots of juicy ripe fruits. I love the peach and pineapple. I used to avoid fruit in perfume but this time of year I reach for fruits and flowers. The violet and jasmine are what most tickle my nose in this fragrance. Violet is usually a very heavy smelling flower anyways but I do love it. This is a beautiful violet floral scent. The flowers are subtle, however, and not overpowering. The base also contains vetiver and wood which make this fragrance long lasting, and leave a trail/sillage that is nice. This is a beautiful spring and summer fragrance. It smells really good and makes me feel good. The vanilla at the very end is heavenly. There's a lot to love here: pineapple yum, peach, yum, violet yum, chocolate, yum and vanilla. Need I say more?

Tempore Donna could be the perfume from which Dolce e Gabbana got a distant inspiration for 'The One'. Tempore definitely smells more '90s' (as opposed to the more modern The One) but the resemblance is there. Tempore Donna is all about vanilla, hints of pineapple and gianduja chocolate. Gianduja is a specific type of milk chocolate confection, enriched with lots and lots of hazelnut paste and was invented in Turin, Italy. Nutella was originally called pasta giantuja (source:Wikipedia!) so you get the picture!! I have to mention though that the chocolate note in Tempore Donna is not the gourmand, edible chocolate one finds in Amour de Cacao, Chocolate Greedy or Chocolovers. It is a 'hint' of chocolate, you have to think about it for a second before actually smelling the resemblance. I think this is down to the fact that this perfume comes from a decade where gourmand perfumes where unheard of, so please do not expect to find something that is 'edible' or too literal. All in all, Tempore Donna smells sweet, nutty and milky chocolatey in a 90s way. The pineapple note I could do without, but I like it very much anyway. I don't get the citrus, sandalwood, vetyver or muskiness, but it might be due to the age of my bottle (given it's now discontinued I had to buy it off eBay) I can see myself wearing it quite often, especially during the winter when I crave a giantuja hot chocolate or nutella on toast;)

I had a miniature bottle of this that I absolutely loved with its rich vanilla and chocolate souls that keep swirling up my nostrils and playing multi-dimensional sensory games with my mind. So after some reading up and looking around, I decided that I wanted a big bottle of this and went ahead and invested in one from ebay. I did not know whether it was because I bought the limited edition one (I assumed it was just a packaging difference) or whether the other normal sized ones are all like that but this is definitely not the soul-stealing one I have got. The big bottle smells like someone stole the soul of the body and then decided that just for laughs to put back a cardboard impression of that same soulless body.. Sorry if I am a little too graphic... but does anyone else have this same problem with their bottles or is it just me? (By the way, the person I bought it from, seems reputable; other perfumes turned out okay.. I think.. oh oh...)

This seems more gourmand to me, or perhaps oriental vanilla. Its sweet but not overbearingly so. For those vanilla fragrance lovers out there, this is a must try. Its a very well done vanilla, with the added bonus of a slight musky drydown. Its quite linear on my skin. But thats not an issue at all. Its not my taste, but I encourage vanilla and gourmand lovers to try this. Its so much nicer than most of typical sweet perfumes out there. Most of them are generic and boring, this has sophistication even though it smells like a low calorie dessert on a small little dessert plate. It still has the potential of mixing very nicely with a persons chemistry. I think because even though its sweet, its not over perfumy and has something natural about it. It doesnt feel synthetic. I also reminds me of a babys head, soft, powdery, and innocently musky. Good sillage and great longevity.

I am very agreeable with Malegria's comments left on this fragrance... Highly adventurous but in a very quiet and interpersonal way of one gentle but with rich imagination personality. Intriguing and softly mesmerizing - this one goes as easily enjoyable. The only one little thing - I would wish it has more sillage - after several first minutes on it gets too close to my skin and I have to incline to my wrist each time I need another boost of its uplifting aura. Loving its deodorant product too - really effective and aromatic - stays all day long and in a combination with a fragrance contributes to the overall of the perfume composition.

this used to be my signature fragrance when it came out, i.e. 14 years ago. i abandoned it a few years later and was reminded of it only recently, when D&G The One Desire came out and - to my delight - faded to something much like Tempore on my skin. i hadn't even realised Tempore was discontinued. the fascinating thing was, though, that even after all those years i felt i could still remember exactly what it smelled like. i got a miniature online and am wearing this again now, realising my recollection was pretty accurate. also, it doesn't smell dated to me now. timeless and unforgettable, more like :)

On me, no pineapple, chocolate or lemon. The initial blast is sweet peaches with a floral jasmine based grounder, somewhat sharp, and interestingly different. It sadly, mellows out to an everyday bouquet that lasts about 4 hours. I love the pineapple in Just Me, but it's a short-lived frag on my skin. I got this one to compare, also, I hoped to add some chocolate edge to it. I guess I'll stay on my quest for the choco-pineapple combo. Ohhhh, Donna, you're not my new BFF. Boo Hoo.

Beginning is unpleasant chocolate. It's not sticky sweetness, 'cause it's actually not so sugary in the begining. Anyway it's unpleasant. After enduring the stink, sweet and warm vanilla smell comes after all, and it does last long. I liked this one almost 10 years ago. (I was a huge fan of something edible. If butter-parfume or bread-parfume existed, would boght them too) Not one of my favorites anymore.

Yohji, I totally agree. I go to department store and few Chanel fragrances are all I like nowadays. I thought there was something wrong with me. Or maybe it's the memories...I am hunting for 90s fragrances on ebay before they disappear. This is one of the treasures from that era. Just enough sweetness, just enough character. I love it, like pretty much all biagiotti fragrances.

Fruits, flowers, and chocolate; it's a strange combination but it works. Tempore Donna smells like that chocolate powder you use to make chocolate milk with. It's delicious and wonderful if you like chocolate notes in perfumes, but I don't like the smell of chocolate. I get a lot of the lemon note out of it with florals. Unique for summer, however not for me.

I am not a fan of fruity florals, but this one is quite stunning. Feminine, vibrant, playful and piquant are adjectives that attach. I got a lot of jasmine and mandarin, but you could smell the other notes variously even as the whole blended harmoniously. Lasting power was good. Tempore Donna -- quite a lady!

Tempore Donna for my nose smelled appetizing vanilla, milky chocolate, a bit tangerine and spice. These perfume are warm, motherly, calming and also subtly seductive. They underline delicate and warm side of nature of woman. In it is a little an nostalgia. Excellent, pretty smell.

it would almost be great. but no. starts deceivingly promissing, vbut after an hour pineapple, violet and vetiver clash and ruin all the powdery white chocolate. I wish it would all stay like in the top notes in this one.

I can smell a touch of vanilla, chocolate, peach and flowers, but unfortunately the base is far too baby-powdery on my skin. I think violet is the culprit. I'll try it again in warmer weather, sometimes that helps.
