Venezia Pastello

A Peach-Skin/'YOUR SKIN' scent AGLOW the morning after a night involving Peach Schnapps. This beauty opens with a burst of soft, powdery peach liqueur and dries down to honey and tea. In the air I get a well blended vibe of powdery sweet peach that is difficult to pick out individual notes, and on the skin I get honey, tea & pencil shavings. I don't find this to resemble Venezia 2011 Laura Biagiotti. Comparison to Exclamation Coty: These are very similar, but Venezia Pastello has superior performance and dries down a little more syrupy. Comparison to Body by Burberry EDP: Signed by Michel Almairac, these are very similar, although Body EDP opens with a peach that is faintly chypre, and Venezia Pastello opens more powdery peach liqueur. They dry down extremely similar with honey, tea and pencil shavings. Both are well above average performance-wise. Comparison to Tresor Lancome: Although Venezia Pastello is more powdery, these are quite similar to my nose, and I get a lingering whiff of the 'hug-me accord' made famous by perfumer Sophia Grojsman (Tresor Lancome, Exclamation Coty, Volupte Oscar de la Renta) which shows itself in many of her compositions, Tresor Lancome included. Overall: Well above average performance and a beautiful scent profile. Enjoy!

Perfection in scent... Venezia Pastello is my favourite fragrance ever. It is my husband's favourite perfume on me, too. And it was my wedding fragrance! The opening is soft, fresh, yet a tad sweet, fruity and aquatic - with plenty of peach, plum and blackcurrant, but I cannot smell any of the red fruits at all. The divine mix of fruits is still prominent in the heart note, at which point the vanillic shandes of heliotrope come into play. On my skin, rose and jasmin are a no-show. Vanilla and sandalwood are the key notes in the cuddly drydown, but the aquatic fruity notes from the top are still there. The overall feeling I get from Venezia Pastello is "warm, tropical lagoon". The fragrance is modern, feminine and sexy and can be worn anytime, anywhere and to any occasion. It fits every mood and season. As it has been discontinued ages ago, I now use Venezia Pastello as an occasion fragrance. And until this very day the fragrance still turns heads and draws compliments.

I am sad beyond words and so dissapointed with my body chemistry... I wanted to be able to wear Venezia Pastello so much... It is one of the freshest, most comforting and light perfumes from the 90s I've ever tried!When I spray it on paper it's like a warmer version of Chloe with extra sweet peach notes that make the scent so ethereal. But the moment I spray it on my skin, the usual rose disaster strikes again. I held on to it for so long before being able to part with it, but no matter how much I love it I cannot wear it... At least my consolation is that the original Venezia smells as it should on me, and I'm sticking to that only I'm afraid. I'm jealous of all of you guys who can wear Pastello gracefully:( Edit: I found the solution! I ordered the EDP formulation (still can be found onlline but it's not cheap). It is richer than the EDT and somehow works better with my body chemistry! So pleased I can finally wear this masterpiece:)

Oh, how I ADORE this one. Makes me feel warm, loved. Kept sniffing my wrist - fantastic dry down. I came by a half full bottle of this yesterday (lucky me!), and the lasting power was AMAZING. I put some on my wrist in the morning, and in the evening after my bath, I could still smell it. It's a shame that this wonderful fragrance is discontinued. Would really have loved to try it back in the day, when it was still fresh. However, I've heard that the EDP version of this can be a migraine trigger, which was a concern for me, but the EDT caused me no problems. So, if you worry about it being a migraine trigger, try to get your hands on a EDT first.

Ich hatte mal eine Duftprobe und sie gefiel mir sehr gut. Als ich dann das EDT kaufen wollte, gab es das in Deutschland leider nicht mehr. Das bedauere ich bis heute. I had times a smell sample and her pleased me very well. When I wanted to then buy EDT, there was not in Germany the unfortunately no more. I regret that this very day.

Venezia Pastello was the first perfume which I got from my husband 14 years ago. I have only good memories on this tender, soft, fresh and clean fruity floral scent. I liked to wear it during summer nights. The lasting power was very good for this type of scent. I am really sorry that it was discontinued.

A beautiful perfume, just bought me a bottle on ebay - smells divine! Soapy ,fruityfresh and muskywarm at the same time - so mild ,yet so special! Even if youre a veneziafan,this is worth trying too,because even if they have a little in common, it is a big difference there. Try both !

My number one favorite perfume ever. Too bad it's discontinued and almost impossible to get for a reasonable price :( It's such a beautiful fragrance!! Perfectly fruity and powdery with light florals.

Tried this during winter time and wasn ́t impress at all, now when it is warmer outside i have tried it once again and it is very pleasant to my nose. The rose is so softened here by the peach, luckily i can ́t smell a lot of black currant here, only at the beginnig. Really nice, but not lasting at all. That is the biggest minus. All i can smell on the drydown is rose with heliotrope with a plum-peach trace. Something like a "Laura" but without a citrus fresh note and better than "Laura Rose". I would say that this is a strictly spring time and a moderatly hot summer fragrance. UPDATE! Now i have also a 25ml bottle of EDP concentration and it is MARVELLOUS and unlike EDT the EDP is more long lasting and intense!!! To me this is one of THE most beautiful and best composed rose scent ever! Need to have some more bottles now! True, it is not similar to "Venezia" at all, but this one is a stunner to my nose! Very good for spring time!

Lovely scent. My first thoughts after first sniff "bubblegum". Quite good sillage, but doesn't last too long, maximum 3 hours on my skin. Tropical, feminine, sweet & soft scent. Dominant notes to me are probably peach and rose. Drydown is soft warm vanilla.

I am lucky to still have this from my mother - it is lovely, soft, feminine and romantic fragrance. Lasting power not very good compared to original Venezia, but I like that it is much more charming and delicate.

Very sweet, light, tender, generally a GREAT version of the classic 'Venezia' that still remains my No1 perfume of all times. But this one is just as good. Lovely and multi-layered smell.

Oh how nice ,comfortble and relaxing this perfume is. Maybe because of the sandalwood, anyway, it ́s to bad it is discontinued :(

This perfume is a soapy version of Venezia. Venezia is far better, if your a fan of it don't bother with Pastello.

Of the hundreds (or is it thousands?) of fruity floral summer type fragrances offered in the last couple of decades, Venezia Pastello is, hands down, THE loveliest perfume I had the pleasure to try. Pastello has a delightful, natural character that a lot of the newer releases in the same category have tried, but failed to achieve. This Venezia flanker stands completely on it's own and has, in my opinion, very little in common with the original Venezia, which has a more smoky and sultry oriental character and is almost a bit too much for daytime/office use, unless you are aiming to seduce, of course. (And depending a bit on the climate, too, I guess. I live in the hot and humid American South.) Pastello has a fresh, and at the same time creamy peach/plum/raspberry opening that is neither too sweet nor too tart. The opening notes stay with me for several hours, almost throughout the entire "life" of the perfume (6-7 hours on my skin). I find that to be unique, as most perfume's top notes fade away much too fast. After about 30 minutes the fruits mellow and the florals, which were a bit shy in the opening, begin to show off their pretty blooms and mingle with the soft vanilla that is noticeable throughout. There is also a hint of sandalwood and cedar, which provide the creaminess, but here they stay in the background and simply bring out the best of the florals and the fruits. The woody accords never stand out or threaten to overtake the other notes, which is just the way I like it. I can only detect a very faint hint of musk - fine by me, because I firmly believe that a stronger animalic musk would ruin the overall happy, sunny day feeling of this composition. Yes, Pastello makes me happy. It smells completely natural to me. I get no weird artificial odors here - one of the reasons I love it so much. Sadly, most "modern" perfumes turn into a chemical mess on my skin. Not this one. Pastello is definitely a keeper. It has been and always will be in my perfume wardrobe. You'll have to fight me for the good deals on eBay. See you there :)

OMG this perfume is so 90s! To me, that name Laura Biagiotti itself is the 90s. I read about this perfume on my dad's magazine when I was little, and I had a chance to smell it somewhere. In that magazine, it described this perfume as a fruity floral fragrance, so I was expecting a lot of fruity notes and I imagined it would be a fruit like smell, but it was nothing of that sort and since then I had this idea in my mind fruity doesn't necessarily equal yummy, and they are going to be heavy like most other perfumes (that were in my radar) at that time. However, beginning of the 2000s I started seeing "fruity" perfumes that really smelled like "fruits" :)

As much as I love the original Venezia, this Pastello version is just that. The pale version of the original. I can only smell fruits in this one. I like it a lot but it's very subtle and it's gone in less than an hour:( I still like it but it's just the ugly stepsister of the beautiful princess. On the positive note, it IS different than all these fruity florals you can buy today.

I can't smell it! Is there something wrong with my nose? I have been sniffing alot of perfumes today; maybe that is it?? This really does not smell like anything to me.
