Venezia Uomo

A delightful fragrance that I feel has a lively and joyful character that's not in the least bit serious or austere. I get a sweet powdery sophisticated and predominantly lemony smell, that's definitely perfumey and perhaps even dandyish (although still resolutely masculine in my opinion). What I savour most about it is that it has this wonderfully 'fizzy' disposition which I haven't come across in any other men's scent. Another thing is that the ingredients appear to be top notch quality with both excellent sillage and longevity. I think it's a day or night all-seasons scent, with perhaps a slight inclination to spring. Classy, I love it and it's one of the jewels in my collection!

Nella piramide qui presentata non ci sono tutte le note , aggiungo agrumi, mirtillo, susina,lavanda,cedro,iris, rosa,edera,zenzero,cognac,fico,noce moscata,patchouli,tonka, tabacco,cacao,benzoino,caffè,muschio,dall'elenco di note di fine anni 90. In effetti il profumo è ricco,forse si parla della prima edizione, che è quella che ho,ma il profumo è veramente buono,ricco e durevole. Ricorda un uomo di altri tempi,in una stanza piena di antichità,maturitò,calore,protezione e sicurezza. Su un giovane gli dona un alone di maturità,su un maturo esalta la mascolinità e le qualità di nobiltà e profondità.

Quite fresh and fruity this. Pleasant, wearable, spring summer feel. Immediately thoughts of Baldessarini EdC, even Houbigant's Fougere Royale. Performance is just okay which is a shame. Hard to mark value for money on prices i see for 'rarity' but I wouldn't pay up for this but fine on discount. 3/5

I admit: when it came out was a disappointment to me. I was expecting something more baroque and rich. Like Romeo Gigli uomo, or even more animal musk spicy dirty. Like Venezia the ancient harbour town, famous for the market with the orient. I had the same disappointment with the too fruity female version of Venezia. But now I can understand the meaning, they wanted to built a modern version of the city/cologne with a breath a murmur of the past. And they have achieved the goal. I had more vintage and historical claims but... Anyway now I have found Venezia uomo tester for a low ridiculous price and I have to say I like it a lot. Maybe is not so original and unique. But is a nice sweet warm classic basical perfume, in many ways romantic. Romantic because remember the "air" of 90s, eau de toilette, shower gel, deodorants of that time, but it is not dated or cheap at all. Is a very elegant cedar based scent. smell also like comic paper.. wallpaper. That why is so romantic. It is a very cedar tonka fragrance, very feathery-musky-orris and sweet smooth tender but still definitely man. And not so dated or old man. Just modern classic. A bit gummy, must be a rose carnation effect. Very pleasant calming. The hug of a beloved man or a young father. I love this basical fragrance suitable as for office as for a candle light dinner. Venezia Uomo is about as ambery as a fougere can get without crossing directly into oriental territory, with its rich cedarwood, carnation, sandalwood, jasmine, and tonka all greeting the nose beneath a brisk crest of lavender, bergamot, and geranium. It's a very woody-sweet structure that someone on another forum once called a "grown up Dreamer," and I get that, because Venezia's cedar/amber combination resembles the tobacco in The Dreamer, and any number of classic tobacco fragrances. I don't really smell actual tobacco in Venezia, though. It's just a nice illusion. Another set of fragrances that it reminds me of is the equally-ambery Davidoff duo of Zino and Relax. Must be the handling of the fougere accord. Ultimately Venezia smells very deep, woody, and fresh, with admirable longevity (at least eight hours on my skin), and fairly good sillage, although this isn't a powerhouse by any means. The one thing it doesn't remind me of is Venice (what do lavender, geranium, and cedar have to do with Venice, I wonder?), but it's a good fragrance and worth seeking out.

Recently came across an almost empty bottle from which I could smell the scent from the atomizer, as surprisingly as it may sound it immediately reminded of a closer in time one. The talcum/podwery sweetness with some aromatic hints supported by a woody/suede base made me remember of Carolina Herrera CH Men (which also happens to share some herbal qualities and bergamot)... Maybe my nose was playing tricks on me since most reviewers talk about the spicy freshness of Venezia... or maybe I've just discovered a great substitute! :D

I have left a 125ml VU bottle at home which is far away from where I'm now... The first fragrance I felt something special about (back in 2000 year). Just has gotten from ebay 125ml tester for only $44, stuff is legit and I seem to love it more than Aventus purchased the same day, mmmm, just cause of memories?...

Ok. Just bring this fragrance back. There is a 90’s craze going on. I love it, everybody will love it. So classy and so italian. I’m usually not one begging for fragrance resurrections, but in this case yes I am. And when you bring it back, please keep the original bottle design too.

Early, official sample. Reminds me of a light/daytime version of vintage Third Man. The wood is stronger but the scent is lighter overall. Not bad at all, but I have other scents that are close enough and the prices are too high for me.

Classic woody mature fragrance. I bought it from friend, he said it has the classic tone he cannot match with. Occasionally use yes of course, but not for daily I guess. I figure it may suit me on harsh discussion meeting

This is the kind of perfume you find at an estate sale, and immediately say "OH WOW!" How much? I want it.
