Ambre Vanille Eau de Parfum

This is so good! What a low key, hidden gem. Right off the bat, this smells JUST LIKE Clean Reserve Solar Bloom. I would say both perfumes are fraternal twins for sure. Back to Amber Vanille... she’s beautiful! It smells warm and floral. I get a whiff of warm, white florals. I smell coconut, but also like it’s coconut water. That’s all I’m really getting from this fragrance. After the dry down, I get some soapy notes. Almost like I washed myself with a luxurious, tropical body wash. It’s very sunny. Smells like the warmth from the sunshine. I don’t get much sandalwood, fruits, or the other florals. However, I do suppose there’s some juiciness somewhere in the mix. I like this a lot, it’s warm and cozy and super straightforward. I would say this is definitely a safe blind buy. I smelled it in store after eyeing in for a few weeks and I’m so glad I did. It smells clean and lasts a pretty long time. I would keep repurchasing once this bottle runs out.

I find it so fascinating how our noses are all different, I don’t get any sol de Janeiro 62 or delicious vanilla cakey-ness like I’ve seen and heard this describes as, definitely not gourmand, for me, it’s a very pretty clean girl, fresh out the shower scent to me! vanilla/coconut/almond slightly laconic scent with some floral notes, I blind bought this thinking it would smell like the body cream and honestly I don’t find them that comparible... like it’s there but they’re definitely not the same, the perfume is lighter and airier, it doesn’t project very much or last that long on my skin, the type of fragrance which is nice to wear fresh out of the shower... a regret buy so likely won’t get again, still very nice though!

Love at first sniff! This is a softer scent, but it smells warm and slightly sweet and elegant. It is not a "beast mode" scent by any means, it's subtle. When I wear this, I don't feel like my perfume smells good, I feel like I smell good, like I'm just a nice-smelling person. I don't know how much sense that makes, it's just a really pleasant feeling. The longevity is just fair, but better on clothes. I think you could wear this any time of day at any time of year. As for comparisons to Mont Blanc Signature, I have that one too and just can't get on with it. I agree they are likely in a similar category, but I'll take this 100 times over MBS.

This was a blind buy and I’m so happy I took a chance. I’m a vanilla girl and even though this perfume doesn’t have vanilla, it smells like it does. It’s definitely lactonic. Milky, sugary almond. This is a clean girl scent without smelling too much like soap. This sits very close to the skin and isn’t something that gets you noticed but you can smell yourself as you move around and it’s so pleasant and enjoyable. I really think this is a perfect every day scent, for all seasons, night and day. Simple, classy, luxurious and beautiful. I don’t think I’d pay full price for the bottle but if I see it on sale, I’ll buy it again.

not trying to blow up my spot but... this scent is soooo slept on! the accords listed are totally off, so disregard that, but i am OBSESSED with this cozy, soft sweet treat. it's fairly unisex with a good dose of sweetness from the brown sugar and sweet nuttiness from almond and coconut. there's a bit of a soft cashmere feel in there, and i'm kind of baffled that an amber vanilla scent has neither notes of amber or vanilla listed... but regardless this is such a beautiful carmelized-feeling skin scent. i have to sample the plain vanille one next because that smelled lovely in-store as well!

I bought this and Almond Coconut at the same time, and I personally prefer this more. It’s exactly the way I imagined it to be—gentle, delicate and spa-like—but it’s not a conventional vanilla scent. It has more of a zing to it, and I was pleasantly surprised. This makes me feel sophisticated and effortlessly classy. I find that it’s very similar to Mont Blanc Signature, but this feels warmer and comforting while MBS is colder. I prefer this more. I might sell my Mont Blanc since it would be redundant to have both in my collection.

I've been buying the Laura Mercier Ambre Vanilla body cream for years, at least I buy it whenever I can find it on sale, as it's $$$. I love the scent of the cream - rich and vanilla and a little sugary. I have been worried the EDP by the same name would be disappointing, but that's not the case. This is gorgeous and exactly like the body cream, for anyone who also likes it!

I recently watched a influencer talk about this perfume, and I was curious and bought it, and I am glad I took the chance! Its a beautiful vanilla cotton candy, sugar scent that sits close to your skin, but you get wafts of it every once in awhile. The longevity is 6ish hours, but can push to 8 if you layer with a vanilla lotion, or oil. 10 out of 10 stars for me! :)

I don’t get the sol ‘62’ I find that to be more salty caramel, warm sweet toffee type, this on the other hand is very fragrant but with a light airy feel. This perfume is coconut, light marzipan, vanilla heavy, creamy, soft fluffy sponge cake. The beginning it’s a strong with all the notes I mentioned but dries down to a fluffy sponge cake with vanilla buttercream.

I love this scent so much. I do wish that there was slightly more projection and a more noticeable sillage, but regardless its a beautiful blend of notes with a slightly smokey opening that dries down into a subtle sweet vanilla (it is confusing there's no vanilla note but it's one of the main accords...) My new favourite fragrance.

This is nice. Slightly different than the edt. This one smells a bit cleaner, probably from the sandlewood. This edp it gives more of a fresh clean smell than an amber or gourmand. This seems more refined. Does that mean I like it better than the edt? - no not nesiarily

I get a really beautiful coconut smell and the sweetness of the brown sugar. It’s really lovely and light to wear and I receive lots of compliments. It’s inoffensive and a great fragrance to wear for all occasions and all year round, almost skin scent gentle. Gorgeous!

Very happy to have found this at Marshall's :o) It's delicious and I did't get a chance to test it , unti I got home . Good thing I don't smell any coconut . My lucky day !!!

Literally a super duper sweet dessert in a bottle. The moment I spray it, it’s like I’ve walked straight into a bakery warm, sugary, and utterly delicious. It’s definitely the most intense vanilla in my collection, and unapologetically gourmand .... While it’s supposed to have notes like orchid, tangerine, almond, coconut, and brown sugar, what really stands out is that rich, creamy, dreamy vanilla. I do like it but I don’t see myself stepping out wearing only this. It feels more like a scent I’d wear at home for comfort, or maybe layer with another perfume if I’m going out. I bought this in the eau de toilette, but it has the exact same notes/is the same scent as the eau de parfum. It's a beautiful scent! It opens with a beautiful fresh burst of tangerine, but it's also very clearly got a powdery, fresh coconut scent. I immediately smell the almonds and brown sugar, which become more pronounced with the dry down. I think the "powdery" scent I'm getting are the florals in this (the orchid and heliotrope) and while I'm usually not a fan of these notes, they are perfectly balanced with the warmer notes. If you like Lattafa Yara, this fragrance smells very similar (which surprised me quite a bit!)

Veronica Says on YouTube had this one in a recent video, so when I saw it at TJ Maxx for $16.99, it was a great treat! I sprayed it on in the car, and it was sweet, warm, clean and so pretty! The description on the back of the box sealed the deal! I'm very pleased! I have this in a rollerball as part of a set. This may be an unpopular opinion, but at first sniff, it comes off as vanilla air freshener and/or generic Bath and Body Works (whose scents often remind me of air fresheners, as well). And I also own the pink Lattafa Yara, which I agree is similar, but for some reason, has better staying power and is less nauseating. I also do not get Cheirosa ‘62, because that one’s so much creamier, richer, and complex, and doesn’t give that nauseating air freshener dry down. That said, if you like safe vanilla scents, then this will suit you just fine. It’s also a great one to use for layering, as it will play nice with other scents.

I’m returning it. They’re plenty of better vanillas out there. This has been over hyped online. The opening doesn’t give Yara, but the dry down does, but Yara is better and Yara isn’t even the most spectacular perfume. There’s even less sillage and longevity than Yara. Also, where’s the amber?

Ambre Vanille Eau de Parfum by Laura Mercier smells exactly like Lataffa’s Yara, in the pink bottle. The longevity and sillage are about the same as well. I like the scent, but was wholly disappointed considering Yara can be purchased for less than $20.

i liked it at the initial spray but it quickly dried down on me to only sandalwood for some reason. after a few minutes there was no trace of vanilla the scent got very weak. Also the name isn’t very fitting, it sounds like amber, but I don’t get any.

I swear this is my last blind buy based on bloggers' reviews. This is so generic. To me it smells like a basic shower gel+deodorant from the 90th-00 put together with lots of other stuff in a cosmetic bag. Way overpriced.

Nothing too special, but it’s definitely lovely and light. I use it more as a skin scent perfect for after a shower or as a bedtime fragrance. It’s very feminine, soft, and clean, with an easy, effortless vibe.

This smells like a lighter yara/quissa pink/anything with that dna. It smells good but there's better options out there with the same scent profile.

No, no, NO! The body cream by Laura Mercier in this particular scent is my favorite of all time, I've used it for years. I finally decided to buy the perfume last week (I thought it was a safe blind buy because I've used this scent for years). I noticed that the bottle was different than before and I found out that the old bottle was an edt and it was discontinued and replaced with this one, the edp. This smells nothing like the body cream, and I'm so disappointed! The body cream is a very warm, rich, ambery vanilla and it smells heavenly. The edp smells like a Wunder-Baum (car freshener) version of the body cream. Smells much fruitier, lighter, more sugary and really, really cheap. It also smells "thin", like it's been diluted. The body cream is so rich and ambery, and ambery scents does NOT work well when you try and make them "airy" like this (or whatever they tried to do). The body cream is a 10/10, the edp is a 3/10 at best. Edit: I just read reviews on the Laura Mercier website, and a lot of people said that the body cream is also reformulated and the scent is replaced with this one. NOOO! :(

Have qissa pink from Paris corner dupe this perfume? Because this smell the same as qissa pink the notes notes of qissa pink is coconut, Apple, rose, violet, jasmine, vanilla, suger, sandalwood, ceder, patchouli. But qissa pink is cheaper and more long lastning. This smells like coconut scented spf lotion. I dont like it.

if you are not getting this tangerine dusted-almond vanilla outta my face im gonna cry cuz check bath foams from this brand. you see this gorgeous honey dipper that comes with it?? its so easy to manipulate me with stupid cute little things, so i wanted to get it, then i learned they have fragrances that match these bath foams and i decided to try one of the available samples the scent doesnt make sense, its giving concert crowd where all the fragrances and sweat are mixed and you are just suffocating. im so so serious and no coconut note here. how dare you "i hate having high expectations of perfumes it never ends up well" part 754464345

Not great really. Very little vanille in truth.. Sandalwood & Sweet notes with heliotrope. Of course it was around long before Yara (this is just the most recent formulation) & is a thousand times better - gentler rounder more subtle notes If u want vanille though Laura Mercier Eau Gourmande Vanille is beautiful (& the Almond Coconut is very very pretty & perfectly cosy even in Winter) Laura Mercier perfumes have always been high quality although they are weaker than they used to been. This one though smells slightly cheap to me - it's too sweet & a little childish it's not as good as the others.

Like someone else said it smells like a lighter version of Lataffa Yara but with weaker projection and sillage, but smells better than the arab version imo. Yara becomes way too sweet sometimes, at least for me, and this one is inoffensive, could be used as an everyday scent for sure, for work/school even. Smells clean but at the same time sweet, definitely has the dna of Yara. Becomes a skin scent after like 30mins to an hour but I genuinely like it. The coconut in this also reminds me of the Cheirosa 87 a little bit.

I purchased this in a set with a bath oil at TJ Maxx for $20 and it was probably one of the best fragrance decisions I’ve made. There is almost a tropical air to the vanilla and coconut, but is very balanced by a warm and comforting nature to it. I find the tangerine, orchid and sandalwood are all beautiful touches to this already well-done piece. This also projects and lasts, it lingered on my skin for about 13 hours. This is great for days when I want something safe and inoffensive.

I enjoy this! It's amber-y, and I definitely smell the tangerine, but it's more amber than tangerine. That's really all I get though. Amber and tangerine. I don't get coconut with this one. I was afraid that it would be too similar to Almond Coconut, and they couldn't be more different. It really reminds me of a better quality version of something I used in the past. Maybe it's JS Fancy, or maybe something from BBW like Cashmere Glow? Lasting power is quite good!

Only blind buy I didn’t regret. Nothing groundbreaking, but it feels like a soft warm vanilla kiss on the cheek from a loved one. Perfect fragrance to wear for cozy bed time. I also keep this in my car for a quick fresh up for spontaneous plans because it’s a lovely universal scent that won’t attack or trigger anyone. Be careful because a little goes a long way. Safe blind buy if you love coconut-ish vanilla.

To me, this perfume smells EXACTLY like both the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Oil Mist and B&BW's Cactus Blossom. Considering the price point, I don't really think that it is worth buying. If you are interested in this perfume, I'd honestly try either of the other ones I mentioned first. As for the SOL Cheriosa '62 comparisons, I do not understand them at all. Cheriosa is much better in my opinion.

Funny how we smell different things I have the edt. I don’t get much of the top notes however I do pick up on the brown sugar and the Heliotrope and the sandalwood as it dries down more I get a little coconut scent, but it is not at all sunscreen smell to it and this is all age 20 to 40. Maybe I don’t think it’s a grown-up sense whatsoever, but I don’t think a juvenile either.

I wear this to bed at night after using both the shower gel and body butter in the same scent. It’s a comforting and sweet gourmand vanilla - not a complex experience and a little perfumey - I don’t get specific notes just a pleasant fragrance warming fragrance. I will probably layer some Phlur Vanilla Smoke with this at night in winter.

Lactonic scents are more and more popular. However it is not really my cup of tea. That is why I’m so surprised I enjoy Ambre Vanille so much. I’m guessing it is because the scent is not so sweet and very balanced. I also like coconut and this note is prominent.

So, I don't have much to say about this one other than it's absolutely lovely and a perfect sweet, feminine every day choice. However, it is IDENTICAL to Yara by Lataffa which I already owned, so I definitely feel like I didn't need both.

I get a bit more amber from this than cheriosa 62. To me it’s identical to amber romance perfume and body mist from VS. It’s still a nice inviting vanilla and would probably perform well during spring or summer.

This layered with Blanche Bete...... people will follow you around. The most gorgeous combination of lactonic yet fresh yumminess. And I am not usually into gourmands, but this feels just RIGHT!

the cheriosa 62 comparison is accurate but this is like a cleaner, less beachy, less gourmand version. I prefer the sol de janeiro, but this is great, especially for $17 at tj maxx

Clean, gentle vanilla fragrance. Although there is coconut in the note, it doesn't appear to cause any major issues as I usually am adversed to coconut

I found this at TJ Maxx what a gem! It smells amazing and its signature scent worthy. I couldn’t believe I had found it and it was $16.99.
