Eau Gourmande Almond Coconut

I love this fragrance n I really don't get why some are saying it doesn't last. This smells very luxurious and delish!!! If your a sweet gourmand scent lover then i believe you'll like this. I think it doesn't smell too foody (for example you can't tell its a carrot cake or chocolate or another specific food..I don't wanna smell like a walking cookie.. I like scents to smell sweet n mix food scents to create something girly and unique which this scent is)it just sweet n rich. A winter scent for me and I am searching ebay to buy more bottles of this awesomeness. I work 12 hour shifts n after my whole day I can still smell it. I gave a coworker a hug goodbye and he said I smelled so good. As I washed my hand for the last time (work in a hospital and move a lot) I could smell this coming off my scrub top...N I only sprayed ONE SPRAY on to my chest/neck area (I didn't wear any other fragrance this morning just got ready and sprayed this in the locker rooms at work right when my shift started). So ya...I think it's got good lasting power. N to me, it smelled better than the first few mins upon initial spraying.

Imagine the richest, most creamiest, luxurious coconut body butter and this is how this smells! I fell in love with this while casually walking in a department store in Sweden and sprayed a tiny amount on my wrist, but as I was wearing leather gloves and some of it landed on my glove. I liked the initial spray, but was not instantly in love. Throughout the day however, I kept smelling something intoxicatingly milky and nutty and you guessed it- it was me! I could smell it on my glove on the next day and I just knew I had to get it immediately even if it meant risking running late for my flight! I love it so much, I bought the body butter and those two together are nuclear! On it's own the spray has decent projection on me (6+ hours on skin and 16+ on clothes). In fact, way better than most of my designer perfumes. Granted I am partial to coconut, but this is coconut and almond heaven!

I am so surprised by seeing all the, more or less, negative reviews about this perfume! This was one of my first real gourmand experiences and it still holds up today, having smelled much more in that category now. The three most dominant notes are coconut, vanilla and almond, in that order. And they are intense! This is SUPER HEAVY on me and I love it! Everything I wear smells like it after! Not to mention the pillows and covers. You are in other words committing to this scent for a couple of days unless you want to change covers in your bed very often.. It is one of few perfumes (including Angel, Pink sugar and Allure Sensuelle among others) that lasts F-O-R-E-V-E-R on me. So I'm maybe even more surprised to see that many of you think it has poor longevity/sillage. If you like the three notes above, try it. Perhaps you ́ll love it and get "the bomb experience" like I do! :D

WOW, this is AMAZING. WHY oh WHY does the lasting power have to be so bad??!!??!! :( Sad face!!! I have a sample that I sprayed liberally and I smelled so good! Simple vanilla, almond, coconut- just delicious! My husbands aunt said, "You smell sooo good! What are you wearing??" And then I told her. I really did smell good. I felt so delicious. I wanted to eat myself up. But alas, that feeling was fleeting. After some time had passed (I can't remember how long- an hour, two hours?) I couldn't really smell much anymore. BOO!!! It smells so good though. Why???!??! I feel like I need to buy a bottle and then carry in my purse so I can spray every couple hours. But is that realistic? I just can't justify buying something with poor lasting power even if it smells this delightful.

Such an underrated gourmand scent for summer! Not too heavy or sticky sweet, it performs really well in the Texas heat, and literally smells like a pina colada with a hint of vanilla. It transports me to vacation mode the minute I put this on. If you experience any longevity issues, you can always layer this with cremes that amplify the aspect that you want (vanilla, coconut, almond), although I think Laura Mercier also has a matching lotion/creme. Not too expensive and still a very high quality perfume. I'm not sure about any recent reformulations, but lots of versions of this are still readily available. Highly recommend!

Why did I wait so long to try this? Instant love! I've debated buying this for years, due to many negative reviews talking about the reformulation. It's warm, sweet coconut with a slight floral tinge that I can't identify. The almond isn't as dominant as the coconut, but I don't even care. It's smells like warm skin. There's a bit of sunscreen smell (which I don't mind in perfume), so I can see that being off putting for some. The vanilla is on the gourmand side. It's creamy and buttery. I can't stop sniffing my wrist. Absolutely love this!

Creamy coconut is my absolute favourite note in a perfume and I’d been searching for a *true* coconut fragrance for some time but had been let down by other perfumes that claimed to have this note but didn’t at all (on my nose at least). Well this is the most gorgeous gourmand piña colada scent that I’ve come across so far. Just beautiful. Only downside is the longevity isn’t great but I carry it around in my handbag and top up throughout the day. Love it.

I like Almond /Coconut for a nice light sweet close to the skin fragrance. It starts out on me as mostly almond not much coconut. It has the vanilla and I smell some heliotrope. It almost reminds me of Pink Sugar without the harsh licorice opening. I don't see this lasting all day and I agree with others that it is almost a body mist. I do enjoy wearing it after a hot shower and jumping into clean sheets very comforting.

I used to wear this a lot ehen I was younger. The almond is definitely more prominent than the coconut. However I will say, you're better off getting the coconut body mist from the body shop which is similar to me and lasts much longer at an easier price. This is great for young girls but the price isn't worth the lack on longevity

Whooaa!! I am so glad that neither of LM samples disappointed me. They are all very sweet and I love them all. I was convinced that I would love this one. Because I am a huge coconut and almond lover, it couldnt be a fail. It is simple, but still very comforting and snuggly!!! I will definitely buy a bottle of this, too.

True to the listed notes. Pretty and natural smelling, heavy on the vanilla. If I didn't already own so many other almond scents, I would definitely purchase. update: I did buy a full bottle and am really pleased with the purchase

I just found this and Vanille at Marshalls for $24.99 and im loving them both. This one smells like a delicious coconut soap or conditioner. I cant wait to wear this in the summer.

Beautiful, sweet, creamy, elegant, warm, cozy, beachy, clean, and fresh. Oh wow this is so very lovely! It’s a really beautiful, creamy coconut, sweet and delicate almond, and warm vanilla. The heliotrope adds a lovely somewhat aquatic freshness, and the ylang ylang adds a sweet and creamy touch of tropical florals. It’s grounded nicely with a subtle soft musk. There is a delicate luxurious sun tan lotion like scent too, but it’s nothing heavy or overwhelming, just soft and subtle. There’s also somewhat of a high end coconut hair conditioner smell that I slightly pick up in the background. Overall, I really love this! It makes me feel beautiful and elegant while also giving me a beachy vibe that’s somehow also fresh, warm, and cozy! I think this is a sweet gourmand scent for the clean girl aesthetic. In a way it feels similar to Montblanc Signature. This would be the beachy/coconut version. Not that they really smell the same, but that they both have the same vibe of being sweet, creamy, and warm, but also fresh and clean. I’m also just slightly reminded of SDJ Coco Cabana 39 and VS Coconut Passion because they’re both sweet and creamy gourmand coconut scents. However, I find both of those to be more heavily coconut, sweeter, and creamier scents (I do love both of them as well!). Coconut Almond just has something special that makes it more elegant and wearable for more than just summer. I think this lovely for summer, but that it could also work all year round. It’s very wearable, such an easy reach! It works well for most occasions... everything from casual, to the office, to a date night, and more! I think this can easily be worn by any age group and it will still be just as beautiful and elegant! I get really good performance with Coconut Almond. The longevity is great on me, it lasts throughout the day on me. The projection is really nice too, it radiates out at least a few feet. A little goes a long way, so I only need a few sprays for this effect. I feel like it’s a really good value since the bottle will last me quite some time, and because it’s not super expensive to begin with.

I have a difficult relationship with coconut as a perfume note: when it works, I love it, but it so rarely does for me. It's just a hard note to get right, especially in heavily foody scents like this Almond Coconut, and I'm afraid this one doesn't quite nail it either. I don't dislike it, but I also don't regret finishing my sample. It's just a little too literal for my taste - I like the idea of smelling like almond/coconut cake very much in theory, but turns out, in practice I like the cake vibe to be toned down just a little. This is just pure baking materials, marzipan doused in coconut and vanilla extract, very strong and sweet and just slightly synthetic. Not a bad smell by any means, but it did feel super conspicuous at the office, and I have to really love a note or accord to want such a literal interpretation of it as a perfume. With this one that's not the case, or at least not on the days I tested it - I'm aware this is the kind of thing you really have to be in the mood for, and maybe this review would be very different indeed if I'd changed my sampling days around, who knows. I've loved similar scents before, after all.

A lovely and straightforward blend of almond and coconut, exactly like the name indicated. I find the coconut prominent, but not aggressive as sometimes it can be headache-inducing. The almond has a nutty aspect which goes well with the woods and the tonka beans hiding behind, keeping the scent down to the ground. It does smell like almond coconut milk and it stays this way all along. The longevity is at least 8 hours on me and the sillage is moderate to soft. It's a cuddly, sweet gourmand scent. If you'd love an uncomplicated concoction of almond and coconut, without other notes to disturb, this worths a try. I myself wouldn't mind having a bottle if I come across one with a reasonable price.

One of my most complimented perfumes but can’t stand to wear this now. I had good memories with this, wore this everyday in 2013-2014 with the Victoria’s Secret bare vanilla lotion that came in the stand up bottle slathered underneath. Ah the good days... I’m sure things have changed with the reformulation. If you manage to find the old bottle with the bronze border (pictured) around the label - go for it. I faintly remember it smelling powdery with a very little coconut, not the milky kind but sweetly dry. People picked up the coconut, I picked up the powdery almond. People could smell me before turning around to look at me, projection and silage was fantastic!

I've had the perfume and body souffle. The body souffle lasts longer worn alone than the spray,on it's own. The spray is nice just not as long lasting. I have layered the two together and the outcome almost smelled like cooked bacon. I take it that too much toasted almond with tonka beans brought that out. Maybe the layering was too much for my skin. I now have the Laura Mercier Sun Free Self Tanner and Body Bronzing Makeup which also smell identical to the Almond Coconut Body Souffle. It is so worth the price to have beauty products that serve more than one purpose. I get 2 in 1 with having beautifully bronzed skin while smelling like a dream.

Natural and nutty. Warm and sweet. Something just makes me feel so good when I wear this. I feel expensive and attractive and just pure clean and GOOD. It’s not a designer high end type of heady fragrance just a relaxed clean soothing scent. I would say it’s appropriate all year round but would especially feel suited to late summer, with the coconut aspect and early autumn with the almond aspect. I loved this when I first got it then got a bit fed up of it, felt a bit linear and too sweet. But on my long hunt for a good coconut perfume and ended up back to this. Glad there’s a parfum version out too now 🥥🤍

I originally loved this because I love coconut and thought I loved almond. But the almond grew tiresome for me. I still like it but never reach for it anymore. It’s linear not complex at all. Don’t get me wrong it’s a lovely clean girl aesthetic smell as all previous reviews below describe BUT it’s got a basicness to it and the almond starts grating on me. I do still like it but the lotion I was always getting told smelled horrible or some such words. It can smell almost playdough/plasticky and that element grows more as the lotion ages. I’ll still wear it when I’m in the mood.

A very sweet and straightforward gourmand coconut blend. Sort of like shredded coconut lightly soaked in almond extract. I can smell the coconut, almond, a bit of musk, and perhaps a hint of the powdery heliotrope...the other notes I don’t pick up. Quite simple and linear, fairly minimal sillage and the lasting power is about an hour on me. Worth trying out if you're a gourmand lover. As far as coconut scents go, I prefer the thick richness of Lavanila Vanilla Coconut, but this is still a nice fragrance.

I bought this because I loved the lotion so much I was dying to try this. My guess is I must've gotten a reformulated version because I do not get the same gourmand feel I do with the body cream. I do get the coconut but to me, this is more reminiscent of coconut water than the actual coconut meat. The result is a clean, fresh smell with hints of florals. Definitely a skin scent. I recommend for anyone who enjoys a soapy, clean fragrance.

Found this at TJMaxx for $20. It’s a very nice, summary, sunscreen type of scent. The coconut is the most prominent note, followed by a softer almond scent. I do smell some type of tropical smell, almost like pineapple. It’s all such a pretty scent overall. Please be aware, I also have the EDP in this scent and to me, it’s not as multifaceted. That one is mostly almond heavy, giving it that playdoh vibe. I much prefer this one, the EDT.

Such a bizarre but adorable scent. It starts out straight tanning lotion. You've got to enjoy waxy coconut to get through this. Then it gets a little earthy and hot. The earthiness is weird. I can see how the reviewer below equated it with baby spit. This scent is very milky. The milkiest I've found. There's also a little bit of hardware store in there. It all sounds weird, but it's pretty enjoyable and definitely fun.

Pretty decent scent. It's not suntan like on me at all. Very gourmand. Warm and homey like a concoction my mom would give me on a cool evening. Sweet. A couple of hours after the initial spray, completely different. Jasmine is there and it becomes a Hawaiian night, my fave. The sillage isn't very good. Stays close to the skin. I like a little louder.

Warm, rich and comforting. Coconut is predominant, but in a cozy way. After a few hours, the white florals appear on me, and sit a little uneasily, like an late uninvited, unwelcome guest. At this point, I think the party is over. Just one spray is right for me, any more and the almond becomes very bitter and nutty.

This is a pretty sweet mixture of both almond and coconut, however, it doesn't smell quite edible. There is a little woodiness and musk for balance. It is a very snuggly, comforting, and casual fragrance. It lasts about 3-4 hours on my skin, but lingers even better in the hair.

I have the body cream and this smells just like it! Very light for an EDT, pretty much zero projection and longevity. I have the new formulation and have no idea how this was pre reformulation.

Another blind buy, sadly this time it was not a success. It smells quite good from the bottle but on my skin the mixture of coconut and almond dries down to urine-like unpleasant smell. Pistachio really comes out and, along w the almond, makes the coconut scent a gourmand. This is not a beachy tropical fragrance, which is what im looking for, but a warm baked goods esque gourmand. It smells nice, but id never wear it.

This scent may sound easy and straightforward, but is in fact very body-chemistry/nose dependent. I like almond and love coconut, often enjoy milky scents so assumed picking it up blindly was no particular risk. Big mistake! Although it has clearly distinguished coconut, the greenness of almond in combination with musk and what I guess could be rosewood plays out like a very cloying green note for my nose and becomes prominent on my skin. It is referred below a baby spit scent, and I really get it, its nauseating for me. If your skin doesn't play it up or you don't mind it, the scent can work well - it cuts through the strong sweetness, makes it project more and feel overall as a more balanced scent. For my nose though, its head-ache inducing. Also, like always with notes one doesn't like, the scent seems to last forever. So no longevity complaints here :). Not a good blind buy imo, even for coconut and almond lovers.

Please think twice before you thumbs-down this review. I am an honest and respectful reviewer who gives my honest opinion, and there is a very good chance that my honesty can save someone from spending money for something that won't work for them. If you don't like my review, I urge you to move on. It won't hurt you or Laura to let this one serve those who need it. I really tried to like this one. I had high hopes since I love tropical scents as well as almond scents. But this one is a straight-up burning plastic/chemical scent that I can't get past. Usually when I get that blast, I can give a few moments and it moves past, leaving loveliness behind. But this one stayed with it's nauseating, headache-provoking choke. It's very disappointing for me since I was hoping this might be a fun New house to investigate. I still will likely do that, but not on this one. This is my first scrubber in a long time!

I usually try a perfume that I think is ok, then I wear it more and get to know it, I learn to appreciate it, and then I fall in love. That did not happen with Almond Coconut. The more I wore it the more I dislike it. This smells like almond baby powder. Personally, I am not drawn to powdery scents because they often have a dry and chalky texture on my skin, which Almond Coconut had. The almond is the star and I can barely smell the coconut. Ylang-ylang , Jasmine, and Brazilian rosewood are listed but I cannot pick up on any of those notes. On the positive side the performance is very good for an eau de toilet. It lasts about 6-8 hours with an intimate scent bubble. Unfortunately this was a fail for me, but it’s not offensive smelling or a poor performer so I rated this a 4/10.

I was really excited to try the EDT because I have the body butter and love it, coconut and vanilla are two of my favourite notes. I was so disappointed with this, it smells like playdough or plastic with barely noticeable coconut shavings. I've read that they changed the scent of this, maybe that is why. Edit, now smelling the body butter I don't like it either! Something so dusty about this scent, maybe it's the almond? It smells like an old cardigan

This was a blind buy for me and this is my first review. Sadly, this frag did not work well on my skin. Instead of the condensed milk coconut, I got something else, almost nauseating on me. It was much better a couple of hours later but that's too much to work for a drydown.

I wanted to love this. It smelt like NICE biscuits and baby sick on me. No wonder it was so cheap. I had to shower again to get rid of the smell. The body lotion smells worse.

the opening is nice cool coconut but it quickly becomes oddly mouldy like wet rotting almonds. I prefer the scent of the cream to the perfume, its sweeter and more coconutty.

This is so bad! I should love this but it’s way too nutty sweet- really gross 🤢 combo. It’s smells like lime zest nutty icing — weird awful smell. Wow it’s not good smh 🤦🏼♀️ the notes look so promising but it’s a disaster! It should be called mixed nuts lime zest. Maybe it just hits my senses differently than other ppls? I don’t know but I hate it/ that’s how bad it is.

Key ingredient is milk I don't understand why it's not here, also on the John Lewis website (u.k) the fragrance in its description totality says 'almond coconut milk', you can detect it . Very authentic Milky smell, at first smelt it almost like how I'd imagine a vegan Mocktail to to smell ( maybe this is how the new Baileys Almond liqueur drink will have similarity ? )after a while it smells like new born baby throw up milk. Which in its own unique, special , innocent way, it smells tolerable but also like waste. You know you have to wipe it off. It has that powdery new born, milky mouth smell. I honestly wasn't offended, I found it nostalgic, as a mother myself, it is truly gourmand! but unwearable after 10 minutes. But each to their own chemistry. I know it will have a different trail on material. Please do not try this on a test strip only . Try this on fresh washed, sanitised skin and honour in fresh air to embrace and allow development of this fragrance. Ps. Almond is a very true note released from here and coconut is gentle and honest,not bold, which is. Good balance. P.ps long lasting! Hmm I'm wondering if the Almond Coconut Milk is totally different to the one listed here?

I first smelled this on a woman I encountered at work approximately 6 or 7 years ago. I’ve always liked a coconut smell. I asked her what she was wearing and she told it was a Laura Mercier perfume. She never gave me the exact name, just that it was coconut and vanilla. Either way I couldn’t remember the name and I let it go. Then when I got into makeup years later it hit me. Any way I ordered the perfume excitedly. When it came I smelled it and my first reaction was not a pleasant one. It smelled of bubbles and coconut . So you know the bubbles that little kids blow from a bottle? Yes it smelled like coconut scented bubbles ! Thankfully I had the soufflé as well and it helped me from smelling like bubbles. After about 30 mins or so I enjoyed the Fragrance even more. I went to look at reviews on the Laura Mercier site and people were upset. Most states that the fragrance didn’t smell the way it did previously. People were begging for them to go back to the original formulation. I like the scent. I find it too sweet for the summertime but I’m looking forward to wearing it this coming fall.

I have been looking for a GENUINE true to coconut fragrance for a long time. I am so happy I found this perfume. If you love the smell of fresh coconut with swirls of vanilla, sprinkled with bits of almond, this is your type of perfume. It's very gourmande in the best way. This scent is amazing all year round, but I find it would be lovely for winter when your are thinking about spring and summer. ;) I also own Vanille Gourmande by Laura Mercier, and it's amazing as well for those days I want to smell like a genuine vanilla bean. Often, I even mix the 2 fragrances and it's perfection on my skin. :) I can honestly say this particular fragrance is one of the best perfumes I own, and I can't get enough of it. So much so, after wearing it for an entire day, I put it on before I go to sleep. Yep, it's that delicious! I will be stocking up! Side note: I don't understand the bad reviews. Maybe some people got a bad batch? I don't smell plastic, milk, or the other notes others are getting. I know that my bottle of Almond Coconut Gourmande smells heavenly!

I've been reading a lot of reviews talking about Laura Mercier perfume reformulations, and how the newest versions are watered down. I finally have all of her Eau Gourmand perfumes, some of which are older formulations, and some are new. I can see what people are referring to. The newer formulations are lighter. However, that's not necessarily a bad thing. I found some of the older formulations to be a little strong and overbearing. The almond coconut I have is new, and it's gorgeous. I've been loving almond and vanilla notes in perfume lately, and that's mostly what I get from this. It reminds me a bit of Hypnotic Poison, but slightly sweeter. Two sprays of this has lasted for hours on me, and the sillage is great without being too overbearing. Of the Laura Mercier gourmand collection, this is my favorite. It's surprising, because I generally don't like the smell of coconut. It's blended beautifully here and is a supporting rather than a starring note.

If you are into gourmand fragrance, it's worth trying. Some say it's a bit synthetic, but this synthetic smell flow away when the temperature goes up. So I use a dryer when I put it on my clothes. And it lasts really long, even after I took a shower, I could smell hint of it. Was a fan of Laura Mercier's Creme Brulee, but it was renewed I had to find another one. After a long journey (Killian's Back to Black - Keiko Mecheri's Loukoum - Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanilla - Jill Stuart's Vanilla Lust - Diptyque's Eau Duelle - Serge Luten's Jeux de Peau) I finally met! I can't believe I didn't even give it a chance... it's quite similar to the original version of creme brulee (less caramel more coconut milk.) Very cozy, and its silliage is marvelous yet not overwhelming, quite often I bump into people who ask about this perfume. (Many people say they smell coffee when I wear this. Especially men. Does it?)

Almond Coconut is quite sweet, but I really like it. The strongest note here is the coconut, which is backed up by slight almond undertones. Maybe the perfume should have been titled Coconut Almond instead. It would be a little more awesome if the coconut was not the strongest notes and almond was the star of the show. The almond is slightly bitter and adds some more depth and tones down the coconut and vanilla. I can also smell the musk which helps with calming down the sweetness of this fragrance and a tiniest amount of powdery heliotrope.This scent is well balanced sweet with out being too sweet. Overall I really enjoy this fragrance its quite comforting. I like putting this one on right before I go to sleep or on days when I'm relaxing. ^_^

I am a gourmand lover, and my favorite note of all time is coconut. I was really excited about this fragrance, but it was very different than what I expected. I think the accords listed are a bit misleading, when I smell this I get a very creamy, nutty, almondy and lactonic vanilla. It’s great for layering but if you’re looking for a really wearable milky coconut scent (like I was) I don’t think this is it.

One of the only fragrance compliments I ever recevied was when I wore Almond Coconut. Mixed w/ palmer's cocoa butter, it's the most almondy gourmand scent out there. Every note makes an appearance at some point of time. Sort of hard to wear every day, b/c the almond has a sharpness and the coconut can be a little cloying. Worth testing, it's one of the better one's from LM.

The body butters both smell better and last longer than the perfumes in this line, and the bb of this just smells like a mix of milky sweetness and clean cotton to me. Warm and comforting, sweet but not sexy, completely nonoffensive for just about any environment. I can still smell it on the clothes I wore days later.
