Verbena Infusion

Honestly, Laura Mercier really is a bomb ass perfumer. It's a shame many of her perfumes are being discontinued and as a result keep showing up at TJ Maxx/Marshalls/Ross. What makes her perfumes so incredible is the accords never smell synthetic and the notes never dominate one another; they play along so nicely and dry down into an even better derivation of the chemistry. I've been so far super impressed by what I've sampled. Verbena Infusion is no different. Upon first spray it's an overwhelming citrus bomb that actually smells like Pledge. When I first tried it at Marshalls I put it back because I was like, ugh, no; I do not need another citrus air freshener scent. So I put it back and kept on shopping. But over the next few minutes what emerged was truly lovely: beneath the lemon-heavy opener were little shoots of green poking above the citrus cloud. This is such an upbeat scent I swear it has mood-enhancing properties. I only get good, hopeful, positive feelings when I smell this. It makes me think of playing tennis at a club where you have to wear white. Making a gin bucket (gin + Fresca) for a backyard party. Graduation day pregame in your cap and tassel. The incredible vanilla frozen yogurt Bloomingdale's used to sell in their cafe back in the 80s before froyo really became a thing. The drydown is really where this perfume sings: the blend of notes is so incredible that upon smelling my wrist I get such an exuberant hit of dopamine. I don't know what sort of witchery is involved in this chemistry, but verbena itself does have magickal properties. Lemon verbena is in the vervain family. Vervain is supposed to be the master herb that can accomplish miracles; it is said to be the most magickal plant on earth. Vervain can provide spiritual protection and inhaling its aroma can help break up stagnant energy patterns, impart a holy aura to places and people, and basically function as mood-lifters to get the magick back on track. I can definitely see this at work with lemon verbena in this perfume; the way this note plays out with the lower accords gives me such an incredible mood boost its truly hard to describe. Whatever your inner image and association with perfect happy spring/midsummer, this will help to bring that about.

How gorgeous is this!!!! It's glorious!! Fresh and uplifting is certainly what it is, and I adore it. Beautiful lemon verbena! I love that stuff! It's so fresh, tart and sweet and zingy! It's such a clean and clear, juicy and delicious scent. Verbena Infusion is radiant with happiness! And so am I that I own a bottle, because I love wearing it!!! It lasts so long on me too. I am extremely lucky, in that most perfumes do last very well on my skin, and this is no exception. It's a delectable treat of a glorious perfume!!!

One for my shopping list - I need this in my life soon. I have sampled this at a Laura Mercier counter twice and haven't got round to buying it yet due to being low on funds around Christmas time. I love this scent. I am a massive fan of citrusy, fresh scents and this one completely fits the bill for me. It just makes me happy. If you're a fan of fresh and uplifting scents with staying power, this is one for you.

First spray - very strong citrus and then as minutes pass verbena, mint. 30 minutes later and the fragrance has merged into what I describe as the way it smells outside after it rains in beautiful fresh air with blossoms and clean leaves filling the breeze. This is an all seasons fragrance to me. I agree with SuzanneCA. No single note outweighs the other. I love it!!!!

This was a blind buy for me based on the combination of the notes listed...I love grapefruit, tart berries and mint. Lemon verbena prominent. Together...Wow! It is gorgeous, fresh and delicious, ideal for summer and I am loving it! If you like Jo Malone's Blackberry and Bay and Verbenas of Provence this will be right up your street.

Nothing complex, but a gorgeous fresh verbena, I love it. It's absolutely stronger and longer lasting, and a touch more feminine, than L'occitane's version. I highly recommend!

Really pretty but also chill, in a way. This fragrance is a fresh, complex, and herbaceous EDT. Not too “herb tea” but not a bland and unidentifiable green scent, either. The first time I tested this, I thought it had vanilla in the top notes; the herbs and citrusy elements are nicely balanced with a very subtle sweetness that adds complexity. It’s cheerful and energizing. I reach for this one on those days when I want to smell fresh and seem friendly - I’m usually more of a floral/spicy type so it is nice to have this one to shake up the perfume tray!

LM Verbana Infusion opens strong and sharp, even smelling burnt for the first few minutes. Then settles down after 30-60 minutes to a beautifully well-blended, classy and clean verbena-grapefruit that lasts subtly into the next day. I really don't pick up the other notes listed.

very dessert-y, reminds me very much of DKNY key lime tart

Read about this on line and as citrus is my thing I got it. It certainly fits the bill for a lemon fragrance but I'm not quite sure that it doesn't dry down a bit like a pleasant 'disinfectant ' wouldn't re purchase.

What I love about this delicious fragrance is that no single fruit note outweighs the other. It is a true combination; amped up with a little spice. This is NOT your grandmother's verbena!! Love.
